I rented two different size storage units at different periods of time from Life Storage in the last 5 years and would definitely go back if I had need for storage again in the future. I think their prices are reasonable and their service is friendly.Update after move out. I had some items stolen from my storage unit. I didnt notice on the day I moved out that the items were missing because I was in a hurry to prevent paying the next months rent and the locks were not cut or otherwise disturbed at the door entrance and only a few items were missing. At first I couldnt figure out how someone got into my storage unit without breaking the locks and then why did they take some items and not other valuable items? After evaluation I think someone small was able to get in through the air gap between the wall and the ceiling since it appears the gap might be 10 inches, plus the metal roof might flex a bit. Also all items that were taken were less than this 10-in dimension while many more valuable items that were larger were not taken. I had about $500 to $700 worth of items stolen. If you are renting at this location or even at a different location pay particular attention to the air gap above the wall. The air gap should only be enough room for air, not a person! In the photo of the gap you can estimate the size of the joist between the wall and the roof based on the two inch dimension of the 2x4. The 2x4 plus the joist appears to be about 10 inches even though the people who run Life Storage measured it as 8 inches. Even 8 inches is too much of a gap. I think the thieves are customers and have a storage unit somewhere in the facility and likely use a ladder that they keep in their storage unit to assist in the theivery.

Cybil was so incredibly helpful and kind! I’ve never used a storage unit before - she made me feel incredibly confident through the entire process, explaining each step as we went. She even helped me get all of the supplies I needed, and they didn’t cost me an arm and a leg like I had anticipated. Highly recommend this storage place, Cybil’s customer service is just an added bonus!

I have had my items stored here for a year and just upgraded to a larger unit. The prices are good, and the online rental process was easy to navigate. Cindy from the rental office was super helpful and made sure everything transitioned smoothly for me.**The only reason for four stars instead of five is that my old unit was an internal one, and the door of the unit opened TOWARD the door to the inside area. This meant that I needed to carry my boxes into the inside hallway, close the door to my unit, and then carry them outside (or the reverse when I had carried them into the unit.

I have been very happy every time I have dealt with this facility / location. Staff is very nice and helpful, and grounds have always been clean and well maintained. I rented their truck to move the other week, and Cindi was great to deal with. There were some issue with the computer, but she did not let that stop her from getting me on the road as quickly as possible. Thanks for all your help Cindi.

Renting a unit was very easy online and I was able to safely store my items before moving! Cindy is so sweet and I had a great experience overall!

Facility and the storage places are clean however, the customer service sucks! If you call to ask a question your constantly harassed or reminded you have a payment due even if your not late. I feel this is very unprofessional I don’t need to be reminded when a payment is due. Please assist me with the questions I have at the present moment.

I have had to move 3 times in the last year for work and I have had to rent multiple storage rooms from various places . I have to say that my experience with Life storage on Old Trolley rd. Was truly above and beyond. I called ahead scouting prices and amenities and I spoke with a woman named Cindy. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. When I arrived at the facility . There was Cindy. From the time I walked in to the time she showed me to my unit, couldnt have taken more that 15 minutes. I highly recommend Life storage and I couldnt be more pleased with the professional and courteous staff.

In all of the storage location that we rent from SC to GA, we have to say this location is out favorite. Our firm also believe in good customer service and the lady at this location always go behind the call of duty. We would give 10 stars if it was available.

Best prices around but you may get what you pay for. One month in I opened my unit to see leaves and dirt 4feet back on my items. I decided to relocate my items after that. Office staff are truly nice!

I was looking for a safe place to store my furniture and belongings while I was in the middle of moving and I decided to go with Life Storage. I came in on Saturday evening right before they closed and received wonderful customer service from Jamie. She went over everything carefully so I knew exactly what to expect. She went above and beyond to get me a great deal! She was very friendly and helpful and due to her excellent customer service I would recommend this place to my friends and family!

Jamie Robinson, the manager, immediately made me feel welcome and fully explained the process of renting the unit, as well offering supplies at a price I couldnt refuse. Moving day for us this time was not an ideal circumstances, and everyone started the day off drained and tense, but by the time I left from securing the unit and renting the van I was lighthearted and ready to go. I rarely write reviews, so when I do its because I was overly impressed or really upset. I was looking for a storage unit and ended up on the phone with Jamie. Immediately, I found great customer service through a phone call. She was professional, yet very pleasant. The next day I went in to secure the space. She showed me 2 different spaces and was even more pleasant in person. With employees and customer service like Jamie offers, I expect to be a long term customer.

They have rodent issues and my unit has water damage... Insurance claim in progress but that doesnt replace things that are irreplaceable... The staff never answers the phone. They often hang a be right back sign on the door but they are inside with the lights turned off. Go elsewhere for your storage needs.

Life Storage is awful. They bought Cube Smart and never notified me until my bill was late. Its been 6 months, and they still have not sent me a bill. I cannot get them to send me anything! Never do business with them!

I have been a customer for five years. I have two of their largest storage units. Without fail, I get an email every month with my invoice. Without fail, since I have been a customer, my bank’s automatic bill pay has paid the bill early or on time. I use bill pay to pay all my bills and have never had the experience of a check being lost in the mail. Evidently, however, my most recent payment to Life Storage got lost in the mail or, more likely, got lost in their office. Regardless, my payment was not on time. I never received any kind of notice that my payment was late. It’s funny how they can email me an invoice every month like clockwork but can’t send me a notice that I’m about to incur late fees ... $80 worth of late fees. Had I gotten notice, I certainly could have gotten payment to them before their five day late fee kicked in.When I called to inquire, I got a smart aleck response about not having time to call all customers who are late with their payments. I was surprised because all my dealings to date with this manager have been very pleasant and professional.I am taking my business elsewhere and I strongly recommend you do not use this facility. I’ve found that Morningstar Storage on Ladson Road is much less expensive and is a much better facility.And, oh by the way, during the time that I have been their customer I had leaks in both of my units at Life Storage. Don’t risk it ... go elsewhere.

My name is Tammy Major and we just leased a unit from Jamie Robinson!!! And I can not say enough about her. She is way more than a person behind a desk that will take your money and sign contracts. She has helped us in ways I still can’t imagin. I am just opening a new store with antiques and such. And if it wasn’t for Jamie’s help and advice as well as contacts I would not be able to open this store. In a week she has helped us in so many ways. I can’t say enough about her and this place. I was nervous to rent a storage unit bc of past experience but I will tell you I have found the one place that I will go and tell everyone I care about to go as well. I have not meant anyone else there yet but from what I’ve heard from other costumers the other women are great also. Sybil that works there is very rude and is not customer service friendly. I called because I received a collection letter for a storage that I no longer had because I moved into my place and moved the stuff out and she literally cut me off and told me I owe it before I coulf explain myself. She even stated I talk to her which is a lie because upon my departure, I spoke to a guy name Vincent who worked there ( which was very nice) and when I move out my storage, I met him so I can remove my lock so he can secure the storage. This company is trying to scam me out of money and they have terrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE!!!!!!!

Definitely an awesome place, I would most certainly suggest them. Friendly staff especially Jamie she was very helpful, sweet, kind, she even took into consideration in bringing me a cold drink while I waited outside for my boyfriend to come meet me up here!

Awesome Facility! Nice, Clean units. The wide isles are a plus. My last 2 storage places had tiny rows. These are very roomie. When I called to ask some questions they were very knowable & took the time (& patience) to answer all my concerns & needs. When I moved down they had my unit already set to go with my lock & a gift bag inside! The two ladies that manage the place were very nice & always said hello & asked how I was, every time I was there. When I moved my stuff out, they had all my boxes & tape I needed. Cheaper than the stores too!!They even let me borrow their handtruck to wheel out my fridge to my truck. Thought that was awesome. This place was seriously the best storage place Ive ever used, hands down. If I ever need a storage unit again, I will Definitely come back here. I highly recomend Life Storage if you need one.

Do not use this storage facility. We got or unit on a Friday and they said they would go and take lock off and clean, well when we came to put our stuff in storage Sunday night the lock was still on the unit so we had to leave our uhaul there till the next day. When we got there the next day we talk to the man working and he had to cut the lock off with bolt cutters to let us in the unit. There was a dead rat in our unit and no light. Said he would take care of the uhaul since we had to keep it an extra day. Well he didnt and now uhaul has been constantly charging our card for the units mistake. They dont have enough people working in our area so there is noone in the office to answer their phones or to tell us what is going on. Horrible storage facility and will never use them ever again. So disappointed.

I am a repeat customer of Uncle Bobs Storage from years ago. Rob Fauver, the Associate Manager, went out of his way to be sure I was familiar and comfortable with the contract arrangement, and even went the extra mile to be sure he placed me in a unit that was right next to an access door, which I very much appreciated! Although there are other storage companies that will offer you a free 1st month of rent, theres no substitute for excellent customer service, and thats why I chose Uncle Bobs.
