I just moved my 89 year old father to Tallahassee. He is diagnosed with Parkinsonism and will not be able to drive anymore. Now, I was stuck with an extra vehicle with payments. I easily went on KBB and Capital City Imports notified me with the hour that they were interested in purchasing my fathers vehicle. Matt sent numerous emails and text to let me know they were interested and the next day they took the car off my hands and the extra stress of my fathers vehicle. Capital City Imports helped me purchase my first ever car in my name! I was really nervous and skeptical at first just because I have never had to make such a big decision on my own. I went in wanting a certain vehicle, but with the help of Ahmed, I was able to find a car that was suitable for my use and my finances! He laid out all the numbers in front of me and was able to find a great deal on credit unions to help me with financing my vehicle. I ended up getting a 2018 Nissan Rogue SV and I LOVE IT! The process took a bit of juggling but we were able to get everything situated. Although the facility looks like it has had some better days, the warm feeling of welcoming and sense of family was apparent in the staff. I would definitely recommend them to friends/family. They also provide car rentals too if you needed. All around, great people.

The salesman, Matthew Tucker noticed I was interested in their vehicle, even offered to find one for me if i may have not been interested in one that was on the lot. But there was no need in that, the approval process was very quick and easy. I recommend buying from Captain City Imports and I recommend Matthew Tucker as a salesman, very knowledgeable and helpful, even after the sale.

Capital City Imports was the only dealership in town that had them model of vehicle that I wanted within my price range. Actually, it was a little out of my range. It was a pleasure working with Matt and Ahmed, as they worked on getting the payments within a do-able range. If shopping for a used car or truck, Id recommend stopping by. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, AVOID CAPITOL CITY IMPORTS in Tallahassee!It has been a total nightmare with these people and Im disgusted that there are people out there doing this to people on the regular.On March 24 I left their car lot with vehicle Ive always wanted, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. I was so excited, but by the time I got home there was ALREADY a noise coming from the engine. A noise that wasnt there when I test drove it or even when Shawn test drove it. So Monday I return to the lot to give them the second key to the vehicle I traded in for the jeep. And I told them, they said theyd call me with a time to look at it because their mechanic was leaving for the day.I never got the call, and of course got caught up in life. So then a week goes by and my engine light turns on, and so I call our familys trusted mechanic to check it out. Turns out the engine needed to be replaced!I call Matt on a Wednesday, who was my salesman and Im distraught. A vehicle that I just bought for 25000 needed a new engine just a few weeks into having it. Now they needed my vehicle at their shop because, well they implied our mechanic probably is wrong.On this same day, just a few hours later it was posted that they had sold my trade in vehicle. No big deal right, but still threw some red flags for me.Still I then needed to pay for my vehicle to be towed to them. Ok cool, again no biggie but was thrown by the lack of good faith they had by making it even harder.I finally am able to get someone to tow it for me on April 2. Their mechanic now determined I needed a new engine. They quoted the engine at 5700 and wanted me to pay for it. After arguing they then offered for me to pay 3500 and theyll pay the rest. Absolutely not, thats over half and in my opinion too much to ask after only having it for 3 weeks. I bit my tounge and agreed to 3000 for my part.Thats not where it ends though! April 12th I get a call from the lender I had for my trade in vehicle due to a late payment. Ummm what. I explained to them what was done, and they tell me they never recieved the payoff. Plus they couldnt legally do any title work to resale it, since the loan is still opened for me on it, which meant it had a lean on it. I also made that monthly payment trying to not let it affect my credit. When I called the lot, once again very upset, I was given the whole run around about the legality of selling a car with a lean on it and how impossible it is to do title work that way.I then recieve a call back 20 minutes later that they had found the check that was supposedly was sent off but got lost in their floor plans and whatever. Magically the check was hand delivered that day as well. Which then meant my engine repair was delayed for one reason or another, so they offered me a rental from their lot for 15 a day because from the owner, Ahmeds mouth Ive already paid for half of the engine to be replaced.This happens to be the day Shawn had to get involved and basically told them the situation at hand is ALL on them and if they had done their job correctly no one would be in this mess. The owner finally agrees to a rental free of charge until the jeep was finished.The rental vehicle just so happened to be a Toyota mini van that believe it or not was in pretty rough shape as well. 2 windows didnt go down, the breaks would grind and any time I had to turn the wheel to the right, everyone could hear the grinding and crunching.So yes after not having a new vehicle for over a month now, making 2 payments plus the payment on my old car, I finally have my jeep back today!I share my story here because we had to fight hard for the help they gave us to fix the problem, and threaten lawyers and all. I cant leave a bad review on their page because they will delete it, and I just cannot let this experience go unheard of by others so that they can avoid the nightmare I just went through with them.Im not the only one either, theres so many more out there that has been through this with them.!

They’re typical low budget used car salesmen and don’t take responsibility for their vehicles!!! In response to Ahmad (the owner) when I purchased the vehicle the odometer read 93k miles and at the time of my oil change it was 96,177 miles!!! Simple math shows you that. you’ve just proven that you are a dishonest dealership that will stoop to the lowest level to sell a car.

Im so glad I purchased local and bought my vehicle today from Capital City Imports. Matt was prompt and courteous communicating via email and text the last few days, offering to start my trade in valuation and finance paperwork before I arrived. Though I didnt need those services, I was very impressed that he valued my time enough to offer that. I was even more impressed when I arrived this morning. Capital City Imports is family owned and operated (right down to their cute dog mascot), but they keep things moving to meet the needs of their customers for sales & car rentals. When an issue came up on the vehicle price, Matt walked out to talk to his manager and for a split second I thought, Oh no, here we go with the back & forth to the manager thing. Nope. Ahmed came out, introduced himself and calmly and professionally discussed the situation with me. This entire experience went down hill since my husband drove the truck off the lot. $3,000 check down payment that was cashed and then ran again the next day. In the packet of paperwork my husband received on the day he purchased the truck no information on sales price, payments etc. He went to pick up his tag and the lady at the desk hands him a piece of paper and says this was suppose to be in your packet. WELL... Truck was listed as $7,990 sale price when my husband was told it was $6,215 AND it was posted on their website as $6,215. None of the taxes, payments etc add up to make sense. Call the dealership and always get told Id be called back and never do. Lawyer up if you decide to deal with them...

Worst car rental ever!! I have never seen worse customer service Ever!!! Ahmad Salem the owner and Rehab Salem were so disrespectful. Definitely reporting to business bureau. The car smelled like weed health hazard. I can go on and on about how disappointed I am! Never renting from here again. Stay away unless you like people who lie. We bought a car recently, decent price. There were things listed on the sales contract that were not actually on the car. With a used car you know that you will have things to fix. They agreed to fix the AC, and we would handle everything else. Sent us to Eagle Motors to have it fixed. The guy there never even really looked at the AC system. He put dye in it and said drive it for a week. We took it to Pep Boys who immediately saw the leaks and found the problem with the AC. When we asked the people at capital city imports to help us pay for the repair, they refused. They said we should have taken it back to Eagle, who told them that it was blowing cold air when we left. They absolutely refused to work with us. STAY AWAY!!

I drove almost 3hrs to check the vehicle out with assurance that it would be there. I arrived to meet Jermaine said it was at there shop for cleaning. Get there and Jermaine informs me that it is loaned out to someone until next week. What dealership loans out vehicle that they have an offer on?

This is a laughably bad dealership, I emailed them multiple times weeks ago for pictures and information about a vehicle in their inventory, and got no response other one generic follow up email today with no information about what I was looking for. I purchased elsewhere.Edit: Also a very unprofessional response from the dealership which further solidifies my review. In this day and age where plenty of correspondence is done via email when it comes to buying a car, there is simply no excuse for a dealership to not respond to their emails. There were no photos of the vehicle on their website, and I live out of town so I have no intention on driving hours to look at a mystery car. Very unprofessional response to a review. Shame on this dealership.

I bought a Honda CRV from here. Ahmed is a very nice guy to talk with. It is not like you were pushed by someone to make a decision. I feel comfortable when negotiating with him and we quickly reach a price that Im satisfied. He is very efficient in helping me set everything up and make the car ready to drive right away.

We went to every dealership and used car place in Tallahassee before meeting the AWESOME people of Capital City Imports. They were personal with us and our kids and did everything for us in finding what we wanted. It took 2 months, but they were EXTREMELY patient with me and my fiance as we are very picky and had a narrow minded idea of a car, model, year, and features, but they pulled through for us and I will always recommend anyone to go to them. Ahmid, the owner of Capital City Imports, got my dad for $1000. Told him he was financed for a car knowing he is blind and can’t drive. Told my dad to take the car to the shop, and now won’t give the car back saying there is a problem with financing because my dad is not on the auto insurance. He’s blind!My brother called me this morning and told me about it. I went to talk to him. I told him that exploiting the elderly and disabled is a crime. He told me to get out and to sue him. We will!

My wife and I recently brought a car from Capital City Imports. I was very happy with the customer service and they way were treated. The buying process was not long and I really appreciated that.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Customer service is amazing when you’re going through approval process. After that it’s terrible. I rode around with an expired tag for almost a week, I called numerous times to rectify the issue DAYS BEFORE it expired because I hadn’t received a tag in the mail. Literally the entire staff gave me the run around for someone name “Ashley” who seemed to either never be there when I called because “ she just stepped out and she’ll return my call” SHE or whoever NEVER DID! Called the DMV only to find out the dealership never submitted paperwork for the tag as they are REQUIRED to by LAW. I was instructed by the DMV to contact the bureau of dealer services but, I tried to reason with the dealership. The issue wasn’t rectified until my father had to contact them. Finally, after going to get a tag that they told my father was ready the information still hadn’t been submitted to the DMV because they did it as I stood there. Only to be told after inputting my information into the DMV database to register the permanent tag that I had to pay $300 after I had already given them a $3,000 down payment a month ago. BAD BUSINESS, don’t purchase cars from there. They are unorganized, give you the run around, and try to rob you for every dollar they can.

What an absolute TERRIBLE experience I had with these people! They were rude and way overpriced for the vehicle I was interested in! Trying to sell a truck with multiple problems. Like the transmission, power steering, and cosmetic problems aswell! Plus the Kelly blue book price was $3,000 less than what they were asking!! Hope this helps others!

After pocketing the money for the warranty he was supposed to pay for, Ahmed had the audacity to attempt to bamboozle me into buying yet ANOTHER car from him and rolling my negative equity into another loan. The car I bought is falling apart after 4 months . I have spent more money on fixing the car than payments. There were roaches in it when I bought it. A bunch of promises were made and no actions were taken. I would give negative stars if I could.
