This place was super fun and the staff was so sweet. I also loves the fact that all the cats are up for adoption AND the support local artist!I brought my two sons (14 & 4) and they each had a blast. Great place, I just wish we lived closer.

Its a little out of the way, but its worth it! The staff are so sweet and whats sweeter is the decor, the music, and last but not least, the cats! Ive been to Tally Cat Cafe, and this place has a more jazzy and alt/urban feel to it rather than the soft girl vibes Tally Cat Cafe brings. Its not better or worse, just different. Both are amazing and Ill be coming here again!

Cool place to play with some kittens. Cute lil place. With good decor. Lots of cute lil critters to play with. $7 a person per hr wich is plenty of time. Lot of kitten related mementos to purchase. Kid friendly and following all distancing rules. Must make appointment ahead of time. This place is a must if u are a cat lover, all cats are for adoption too. Almost took a few home.. lol

We loved our visit at the Cafe. The staff was friendly and there were so many cute, playful cats! My only critique is that for a Cafe, they dont have a very big selection of food and drinks.

The Fat Cat Cafe is the perfect place to take a break and hang out with some great cats, all waiting for their forever homes! The staff is friendly and dedicated to their cause. There are great gifts in the cafe available to purchase, with the proceeds going directly to the cafe to help support the cats daily care. They even offer Yoga with Kitties for a $10 donation- it was a great time!

This place is a god send to me and my mama kitty. I posted some pics on FB and they reached out a giving hand and helped me adopt out 8 kittens and get mama kitty fixed. They truly are the greatest best loving and helpful rescue Ive ever worked with and I used to rehome animals when I had free space and time. They were patient nd understanding with me and they actually do what they say theyre doing which if youve ever reached out and tried to get help from a rescue you know how hard itvis to get any to help. Thank you guys so much for looking out for our tallahassee felines. This place deserves your business and the kitties need all of our help! Thank you fat cat cafe and feline advocates if leon County! Love this place! I was here around the time it first opened and fell in love with my 3rd cat (not knowing her yet). The store is tucked away on Park Avenue in a shopping Center so you have to look for it but it is a hidden GEM! The front of the store is super cute and also Seperate from the back where the cats are. They have coffee, food treats, art, and several awesome unique gifts for purchase! If you set an appointment you can go to the back to socialize with cats. All proceeds help cover the business expenses and fund the non-profit that runs it! The owner is awesome and so are the employees. They have movie nights and yoga etc. Their cats all get services needed so they are up for adoption also so dont worry if you fall in Love! Great place to play with cats available for adoption. Sells coffee, tea, sodas, snacks and art in support of the cats, which you can enjoy after paying a small hourly/half hour fee to enter a cute room where the cats are lounging, playing and roaming freely. Toys are provided to engage their attention as well. Awesome way to get kitties adopted and to get acquainted with them before taking them home! ❤

It is truly a great experience! You can spend an hour with the cats and have a great time with them. They also have theyre boutique in the front with a lot of art and house hold items with a little kitty twist. I bought one of their catnip cat toys the other day and my cat was licking it all day! They do adult painting classes and children which were huge fun where you could paint and while it was drying you could go and pet the cats. It is a great place to go if you want to have a nice quiet place to chat with a couple friends and if you find a cat you truly love you can either adopt or foster that cat. All theyre cats come from bad homes or high-kill local shelters so they all need a great home. I really suggest fat cat cafe as a hangout and chatting spot!

This is a fun place and some of the best people you would ever want to meet. If you like cats and want to kick back and relax this is the go to place. Not to mention the important work they do! They have old young and baby kittys. All shapes and colors. They are non profit so any help they can get including volunteers will be most appreciated. Love this whole idea!

Fat Cat Café is a wonderful establishment to go to if you are a cat lover! It is a relaxing place to visit and the place to go if you are interested in adopting a rescue cat! They work with 4 local rescue groups, including their own nonprofit organization called Feline Advocates of Leon County. They care about their animals amd customers. It is a great place to get some kitty therapy when you need it the most! I love Fat Cat!❤

I love love love this place. We adopted our cat from here and they were so great. My roommate and I were just moving to the area and werent quite ready to take the car home even though we had fallen for a specific cat. We went through the process and he stayed there for a couple of weeks till the house was more ready and in the mean time they would let us drop in an visit him whenever we wanted to. They were great and he loved it there, and has since settlesd in really well.

These people enter private property to steal pets from owners and then sell the pets back to owners. They trespass and refuse to leave. Beware of any cat you adopt, there’s a good chance that it was stolen and it’s owner is still looking for it. Oh and they work overtime at censoring honest reviews so this rating is not accurate. Always makes me laugh when people are more concerned with covering up crimes than in preventing them.Edit to add: they are now doxxing, slandering and stalking a person who left an honest review. They have posted a private address of a woman with a stalker, forcing her to move immediately. Everything they’ve written is a lie and can be proven.

I just adored this place! The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere was very homey, and the cats, of course, were all sweet, friendly, and playful. What’s best is that Fat Cat Cafe had, since their opening a year ago, found homes for 99 shelter cats by the day of my visit! I just love this concept. It gives those who can’t have cats the opportunity to “cat out.” On top of that, it’s finding homes for cats slated to be euthanized. It’s a noble cause being handled in an amazing way!

If Im next in the market for another cat, this will be my first stop. The space for the fur babies is fun for both them & the visitors. The baked goods are excellent. In fact, I had the best schooner ever there. Usually, my daughters will go in to see the kitties while I shop the gifts. I get too attached & we already have four cats. But its a great place to find cat toys, art & miscellaneous knick knacks.

You get to meet and spend time with a cat and then you can decide if you want to adopt. Cuddling cats is so heartwarming. It definitely is Cat Lovers Heaven!

What an amazing place; we loved visiting and loving on the sweet cats and kittens! The manager was so sweet and the other customers felt like friends. Highly recommend for a relaxing mini getaway from any stress you may be having. I really appreciate what they are doing to help these animals as well!

I took my daughter to the Fat Cat Cafe to hopefully satisfy her young cat lady tendencies. We absolutely fell in love with this place, not just because of the amazing cats, but because of the people working and volunteering there. We loved it so much that we have become volunteers ourselves. Sometimes I think we all need a break away from people and the craziness of the world and the Fat Cat Cafe is a way to do that - with a nice dose of cat therapy...

Went in to look at cats cause our cat eventually needed a friend. After what can only be described as a Disney-moment, we ended up signing to adopt a cat that just pranced out of the rafters like a fabulous diva and head butted my hands.

Very sweet place and surprisingly clean given there are cats everywhere. Provides a good opportunity to talk to other cat people. The cats are very well taken care of (and fat!). $7/hour is very reasonable. It was a much more pleasant experience to see the cats able to run around and play compared to a shelter.

I found FCC through Groupon and went as a fun activity on July 4th. Ive always considered myself a dog person, but everything changed that day. Up came a tiny black kitten who, when I stopped paying attention to him, promptly jumped on my shoulder. I went home to think over the experience, and a few days later brought home my first kitten. Liam makes me smile every day and provides so much love. Before bringing him home, the cafe insisted I really think about it and allowed me to bring my dog in to meet him. I felt more comfortable knowing that the staff were not looking to push the cats out of the door. They got to know me and what my lifestyle was to make sure it was a happy placement for everyone. (I worked closely with Sara and Michelle). I know this was a long review, but this cafe has forever changed me. Even if you just go in to spend time with the cats, you are making such an impact. ❤

Fun place to visit.

A great way to spend an hour (or more) being entertained by their adoptable cats. The small fee helps to maintain the cats they shelter for those of us who cant take one (or more) home. The shop has many cute gift items for sale and the staff are super friendly! My daughter and I really enjoy our visits.

The best coffee Ive ever had with a cheerful, relaxing vibe. Terrific for decompressing after (or in the midst of) a busy day. They have a nice selection of pastries, amazing coffee, and they help rescue animals. Whats not to love?

This place is run by genuinely great people. They never rush you out, they have nice conversations with you, and the kitties are such sweeties! No push to adopt but of course it’s a considerable option! I also love that on their adoption papers you vow to never declaw your cat!! I think that’s a policy all adoption places should hold. This is just a great place to get some good ole cat love.

Had a horrible experience where an incompetent and rude cashier did not know what she was doing and blamed me, my mommy friend and our kids. However, the owner resolved the matter by addressing the issues quickly and refunding our money. I am trying to amend and fairly reflect a better review based on a better understanding.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Tallahassee. I found out about them when they were doing an event at Petco and have been going pretty much every month since. The cats they have there are so calm and sociable and really playful. The room you go into is cozy and calming as well, with mismatched furniture and calming jazz playing. The cats have so many toys and things to climb on as well! All of them look so well taken care of. Ive graduated now, and its the place I miss the most. They dont have a fancy espresso machine like the other cat cafe but in my eyes, you go to support their cause and play with the kittens so that shouldnt matter. If you want a furever kitten, they have one for you :) please support my favorite place :)

This place was incredible. Every cat lovers dream come true! Its an amazing idea and executed very well! Staff was friendly, and cats are purrfect! Atmosphere is comfy and loungy. The Fat Cat Café: A great way to spend a couple hours relaxing and playing with cats.The facility is very clean and the staff was friendly and engaging. I was with a group of friends on Saturday, none of us had ever been to the Fat Cat Café and decided to check it out. That was the best decision any of use made that weekend! We entered the café and were warmly greeted, the first room you walk into has coffee, tea, bottled water and soft drink as well as a variety of sweets and snacks. This room also housed lots of great Cat themed items, shirts, and pictures, key chains, jewelry and much more, all were reasonably priced. Even if you do not want to go into the cat room yourself, I would recommend that anyone who needs a Cat themed gift for the cat lover in their life to come check out the great selection they have at the Fat Cat Café.Our group got a few drinks and refreshments, checked in, and then entered the Cat room. I am happy to report that the room was very clean. I own two cats and know firsthand how much cat hair they constantly shed, the folks at the Fat Cat do an excellent job, cleaning and maintaining the cat room! The room itself is large with lots of framed cat art on the walls and interesting cat books on all the tables. There is lots of cat furniture and toys around the room making it easy for guests to pay and interact with the cats. One of the coolest parts of the room were the drawers on the wall. As a cat owner I have had a cat crawl into an open dresser drawer and use it as a bed, well the Fat Cat Café took that idea and ran with it, they have several drawers suspended on the wall. Cats can hop up and enjoy a nice nap.Who doesn’t like to kill two birds with one stone? At the Fat Cat Café you get to enjoy time playing and interacting with the cats, at the same time you are helping fund cat rescue and adoptions efforts. The Fat Cat Café is not trying to get rich off of the cuteness of cats, the great people there use a portion of their proceeds to help provide for rescue cats and to help find them home. In order to help the cats get adopted the Fat Cat Café makes efforts to help socialize them. A great example of this is, people who have a dog at home and would like to get a cat, some cats who have not been around a dog before could react poorly to first meeting a dog making that cat adoption challenging. To help combat this the Fat Cat Café brings in service dogs to hangout with the cats sometimes, helping to socialize the cats so that they will be a great fit for anyone interested in adopting them.I would recommend the Fat Cat Café to anyone who likes cats, anyone who wants to try something cool and different, anyone who typically goes and sits at Starbucks- that has more expensive coffee and no cats, I would recommend this Café to anyone thinking about adopting a cat, to anyone who lives in place that doesn’t allow animals- the Fat Cat Café can give you all of the warm and fuzzy feeling you get from cats without you having to own one yourself. I would recommend this Café to any parents looking for something fun to do with their kids. Really I would recommend the Fat Cat Café to anyone who would listen, because I had a great experience there and want to support a local business that gives back to the causes it cares about.
