5 stars is so deserving. There are tons and tons of beauty supply stores in the Tampa area. Prices are different in each of them. Some way over priced and capitalizing on the Culture.But…. My Shade and Texture is the difference in a time where we need personal care and the ability to be beautiful. And the bonus is affordable pricing. I’m excited for the opportunity to shop there again. And I’m looking forward to watching them grow and Flourish!!

I have shopped at this business off and on for a few years now. Each time, the customer service has been excellent. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the owner, Pam is phenomenal. Excellent natural hair care tips, personalized recommendations, and consistent intentionality is put into making each visit worthwhile. Highly recommend!

My experience at My Shade and Texture was unmatched. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. The owner was very pleasant and made our experience there the best. She was very knowledgeable about every product in the store. I shared that I needed something for inflammation and she created the perfect mixture (Jojoba Oil, Ylang Ylang, and Hibiscus Flowers). I had some swelling in my hand and used the oil and it was feeling like new within a day and a half. I had to order more for my self and my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law battles with arthritis and used it on her knee. She felt relief the next day. If you suffer from inflammation order you the mixture of Jojoba Oil, Ylang Ylang, and Hibiscus Flowers. If you cant make it in to the store it can be shipped. I am grateful and appreciative for my time at My Shade and Texture.

This is a wonderful black owned beauty store (way to go Pamela!)! They are also expecting to reopen their hair salon in the near future which is located next door to the beauty store so stay tuned! Every woman working here was kind and friendly from the moment we walked in. This store does not carry products only for African Americans. They carry products for EVERYONE! My wife is white and we walked out with all types of products including a personal scrub she was able to make from scratch in the store! Thank you for your help with that London! Ladies and you too men, do yourself a favor and stop by!

So yesterday I had a chance to stop by My Shade & Texture. I had a little bit of an emotional moment with the owner because of the great customer service she provided. She knows her products well and made some excellent recommendations. She carries many Black Owned brands and was able to give me first hand knowledge. She has treated many of the products herself. I have NEVER....EVER...received this level of service in any beautiful supply store I have EVER visited. I love Us. Cant wait to go back.

The best hair store in Tampa! No kidding. I was in a world of panic when my daughters natural hair started changing. I stopped by one evening and expressed my concerns to the owner. She did an entire demonstration, after hours for my daughter!!! She gave great tips that I NEVER knew with natural hair and I am sooooooo glad I went their. Never going to any other hair store in Tampa. Its My Shade & Texture for me. FOREVER!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I live in Georgia but always make a point to stop buy and pick up body elixirs and scrubs. You can create your own mix or choose from what’s already available. I love having the ability to try new carrier oils and scents. I can’t wait to get rid of all the hair products I have in my cabinet so I can try the brands they have in store. The most important aspect is customer service to me. The young ladies that work in the store and the owner will blow you away. I always feel welcome, they are truly helpful and knowledgeable. It’s so amazing that the owner allows other small businesses to showcase during in-store events. My Shade & Texture is truly what our community needs.

Todays shopping trip was definitely a pleasant one. I stumbled upon a nifty shop called My shade & Texture. I walked in with some idea of what I was looking for, but completely clueless as to how to ask or properly describe the item. Pam was super nice and was able to figure out what I wanted. I love everything about this beauty supply store. The owner is very sweet and knowledgeable as well as the ladies that work there. The product prices are reasonable and Im extremely excited she features many black owned vendors. I love that you can make your own scent from the different oils she has. It always smell really nice when Im there. I also like they offer deliver service. A must place to shop for black owned products.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience today at My Shade & Texture. We came for a hair moisturizer and we left with much more. The DIY glow bar is amazing. My daughter was able to create her own body scrub the smells soooo good and we also got a few natural hair care products from their huge selection. The staff was very knowledgeable and referred great products. I live about 35 minutes away and will always travel to the store not only to support my local place black owned beauty supply store but because it’s a great experience!

I came into this wonderful place this evening right before their closing time. Even though it was close to time to close they were very helpful and friendly. Going to visit My shades&Texture was the most friendly and relaxing time my daughter and I had.We spent most of our time at the natural oil bar, mixing up smell goods. I love My Shade and Texture! Its good to know that I can shop at a beauty supply store that caters to people of color. I get all of my hair products from here as well as my favorite bar of soap (Canviiy) and my favorite all natural feminine products. The in-store experience is better than any other beauty store Ive visited. The owner knows her stuff and can point you to right product based on your need. This store is BEST thing since sliced bread. I cant wait to go back again but until then Ill keep ordering my products online. One more thing, my husband loves it too because he can now order products for his beard.

As soon as I walked in it was so welcoming! Beautifully displayed products, & such a fun environment. The best thing for me was the ability to LEARN about each product with the QR codes displayed by each vendor’s products. The neatness of each area & dedication to detail was just phenomenal. The staff were so nice & took the time to discuss each product and it’s usefulness for my hair (loc’d), gave me pointers, etc. They also have products for men as well which was great so fellas definitely will find anything they need for their grooming here as well. I highly recommend My Shade & Texture.

Ive been to this store twice and I absolutely love it! The prices are good, customer service is great and the ambiance is everything! They have a lot products that cater to my natural 4c hair and they have a make it yourself scrub/oil bar! Outside of the hair products they also carry the natural feminine pads I wear (hard to find)!! This is my new go to!!

This is my favorite beauty supply store. I go at least twice a week because they have everything I need. I consider shopping trips there as self-care LOL. Pam is very friendly, helpful, and is always patient when I have questions about products. I have been and will continue to drive past Target, Walmart, and a bunch of other beauty supply stores (that aren’t Black-owned) to go to My Shade and Texture. I definitely recommend this store to any and everyone.

I recently went and was really happy with my experience. The owner was very knowledgeable and took the time to walk me thru the store while recommending products that would help on my hair as well as my daughters hair. I was extremely impressed with the Blend & Glow Bar as you can make your own hair care products there. I didnt get a chance to do it but I will definitely go back to try it.
