Steve Roberts is a boat guy you can rely on. He has decades of experience. Steve can both keep that old-school engine running, or when the time comes, rig up a new one with all the modern technology. I recently used Steve to re-power my old whaler with a new e-Tec, which of course involved a full re-rigging of steering, electrical, gauges, new dash, rub rail and other items. What you want most from a mechanic is to be knowledgable, honest, and fairly priced. Steve is all of that and more. He basically rebuilt my boat and I could not have hoped for a better experience. Steve is great! We did an I/O motor swap from a 5.0 to 5.7 earlier this Spring with a few other repairs to my Steering and electrical systems. Best prices by far of any mechanic in Tampa. Steve at New Waves has been incredibly helpful in getting my Boat back on the water. He is very Military friendly. I brought my boat to him back in Mid September 2018 and both he and I have worked on it for hours on end. He has often not charged me for labor and only charged me for parts at his wholesale cost. I can’t say this enough he is an encyclopedia of knowledge with boats he is a straight up guy that will not sugar coat anything that’s wrong with your boat.
