I was a client 2 years ago. After the exams I decided to buy a pair of bifocal glasses I chose one.I ask if the easy to clean or scratches .she said no none scratches at all. So I ordered. But what a surprise frame is good but the cristals are plastic. So is hard to clean. And is so very scratches glasses and over price. I paid almost $ 500. For this garbage. Am total disagree when people like them they just care about money.[I have other pair of glasses from Prados Vision it has 7 years ago. none scratches at alland is super easy to clean.I paid the same. But of course great.].

Very clean place. The staff is very nice, and they try to keep it moving so you dont have to wait too long. They have a variety of affordable glasses available. I have been coming here for about 2 years, and I have had consistently good experiences.

I had a great first experience! Loved the entire staffs professionalism! Also, the facility was nice and clean, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

You have my story with this bad Eye care Center. I made an appointment on Monday 08/17/2020. When I arrived at the center, I was received very badly greeting. The employee who sits at the front desk is absolutely not suitable to be in this position. She screamed at me with threatening to call the police if I did not go out. From the center even though I used to repeat and say that I have an appointment with them on that day and she says that I do not have an appointment even i showed her the text message confirming that I have an appointment on that day. I advise whoever does not deal with this center. The level of customer service is very bad.

Excellent place they provided me with all the information that I need about my lens after I been visiting two diferente optical and in there no body give me a clear respond of why they had been scratching to soon . I’m very satisfied with the attention especially the care of doctors and the manage lady name Michelle she is very knowledgeable and happy to responds all the consumer issues.

Dr Carlson is the best eye doctor I have ever had. I have been a patient of his for over 8 years. He takes the time to get to know you and understand your needs. Michelle is also amazing she knows me by name and never fails to deliver amazing customer service

The lady with the raspy voice has the most passive aggressive attitude ever. The other staff is friendly, but miss maam that seems to answer the phone all the time needs to fix her attitude ASAP. Anyways, I got the three months contacts from them and asked them to be delivered. Mind you, I didnt know that they werent deliverable because I mean... no one told me. So, then I called them because I thought they were going to be delivered, and again miss maam with the raspy voice, basically told me that there was no way to get them delivered and that I have to send some some shipping label. I honestly dont know why I went there, because I literally live an hour a way, but my mom thought it was best, since Ive been going there since I was in first grade, and now Ive just started college. I usually dont write bad reviews because Ive worked in customer service and I known how it feels to deal with rude customers that complain about nothing, but like lets fix the attitude and inform customers.

My wife had her eye exam here, ordered her glasses which came to more than the insurance covered by $100. When she received her glasses she could not see out of them, she took them back and explained the problem, the staff said the prescription was correct and when she asked why she could not see clearly was told essentially her problem and not theirs and refused to do anything to correct the problem. I would recommend that any one thinking of going there stay away form this business. She now has a $250 dollar pair of glasses that are worthless. And I notice the only reviews the company respond to are the 5 star but not one under that which tells me they dont give any concern for their mistakes, sorry way to do business.

Do yourself a favor a find a better optometrist office. Poor customer service at its finest. I came in for an eye exam got fitted for my glasses both my son and I same day same time he recieves his glasses but the order was never placed for mine. Refused to rectify the situation that was their mistake. Doctors service and professionalism amazing his assistants in the office need to be trained I have never had receptionists be so rude

I didnt have to wait for more than 5 minutes before being taken back. I saw the Doctor a few minutes later. My entire appointment, everyone l came into contact with that worked there was very friendly and courteous. The Doctor was very nice he took his time examining my eyes before making a diagnosis and giving me a referral. Everyone was very professional, I would definitely recommend this Doctor..

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...... I called for my daughters appointment and the receptionist (I wish i got her name) the way she spoke and tone was very unprofessional! Talked to me as if I was a child. RETRAINING her on patient etiquette would be recommended since she is the first person the patients see and talk to representing your company. ABSOLUTELY disgusted!!!!!!

Dr. Carlson and his assistant were very nice and informative. And Michelle - the manager - helped us with picking out our glasses. She was superb! She was helpful and patient as my husband and I took awhile to pick out the perfect pair of glasses. I’m very pleased they were able to work with my insurance and get some stylish frames in our budget.

Central Florida Eye Care has by far been the best experience when its comes to my eyes. Everyone I have encountered via in person or over the phone offered exceptional service. The staff made my office visit a breeze. I was greeted by Endia as soon as I step foot in the building. Sonia was full of smiles, patient, and very knowledgeable. If anyone is in need of eye, Central Florida Eye Care is the place with two locations (Tampa and Plant City). Great to see exceptional service in business as many fall short and drop the ball. I think I was taken back around 20 minutes after my appointment time. The assistant (Im not sure of her actual title) was very friendly. The doctor was very friendly as well and did not rush me through the exam. All of the employees I encountered seemed genuinely nice. My appointment was for 1p, and I was there 12:45p-2:30p for an eye exam and to pick out glasses. I wish the office hours were a bit more accommodating, but I would recommend them.

My wife and I have been patients at Central Florida Eye Care for over 5 years. we are very happy with the service and the staff are very professional. Dr. Carlson is so pleasant to speak with and takes his time during the exam and gets to know his patients. Since knowing him, I have not met any Dr. like him who is pleasant and caring. I enjoy coming to his facility of business because everyone here treats us as if we were family.

I had my first eye appointment in early September. I asked how long the wait would be and took off work accordingly when I was told it was 20-30 minutes. An hour into my wait, I had to leave and reschedule. I noticed several other reviews complained about the wait time, so the next appointment when I had to wait that long at least I wasnt surprised, but you shouldnt have to wait that long if an appointment is scheduled.The staff is nice, but have no idea whats going on. They have my chart in their hand, but Ive had to correct them as they lead me into the wrong kind of testing room or tell them I wasnt getting glasses and so on.I had three trials of contact lenses, but at no point did they ever have them in stock which caused a lot of delays between trials. Ive been specifically directed to come in and get a new pair, only to have to come back because they have one eye and not the other.It is now almost November and Ive made SEVEN trips to this place which is WAY too much of an investment of my time to end up without decent contacts or glasses. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I cant rave enough about my experience here. Simply the best above all the rest. I found 5 pair of glasses I had to have they are so pretty. Michelle I think the floor manager was very professional & patient with my picky butt 😄 Thats alright I found what I was looking for. Jay was very accommodating also, I cant remember all their names who was helpful. I do know this will be my place to go for my eye exam & glasses from now on .

I recently took my daughter there for an eye exam. Waiting time was within ten minutes. The visit took about an hour. Sonya, the sales Rep. was the nicest.

First time there, I went in because one of the screws fell out for a piece of my glasses. I signed in and sat down for about 2 minutes before they came back out with a new screw and it was as tight as the day I got my glasses. Wasnt charged a dime and the staff seem friendly. Ill definitely be going back if I need anything else.

I have to disagree with all the negative reviews. Me and my mother Bernice had an exam last week at the new location in PlantCity. I have to say this was one of the most beautiful eye doctor Ive ever been to. Also, Dr.Carlson was very sweet, quick and persistent. I highly recommend the PC location. The staff especially Jay and Lucky was very helpful. I cant wait to return to pick up our stylish new glasses.

I scheduled an appointment using the online scheduling offered via email. My appointment was for 8:10am, but the business does not open until 9am. I did not know they opened at 9am until I drove to the building for my early appointment. My question is, why offer appointments before 9am if youre not open? I wasted my time over this, please change your online scheduling to reflect your business hours.

Very simple I came into the store with a prescription to buy contacts. 15 minutes later I still have not had anyone sell me the contacts. So I went and left to a competitor who was able to help me in less than 5 minutes.

I went a year ago for my first visit, everything was great. Fast forward a year, I go back bc I lost my glasses and needed a new pair. I was told upon arrival my insurance only covers frames every other year but the lenses would be covered. I was fine with this. I get my exam, the DR is wonderful so this review is solely on the office staff/billing and management. After the exam I picked out my new glasses AND sunglasses as well. I then sit down with the employee (whom has all my paperwork in front of her) she gives me my price and I pay in full (Approx $450 total for both). The next day I get a voicemail saying I need to pay an additional $230 bc the insurance wasn’t covering the frames. Yet, as soon as I walked in, I was told BY THEM that my insurance wouldn’t cover the frames, so didn’t they already know this while I was sitting there paying?! I decided to do some research, called other optical locations etc and the SAME frames, without insurance, averaged 50% less than what they charge. I called and spoke with the office manager about coming to an agreement bc this is obviously an error on their end and she refused to help. They would rather lose the business. So I canceled the order, went elsewhere, and saved over $150 for the SAME glasses. So if you just need a great eye DR- Dr. Cook is great. If you need glasses, I would go somewhere else bc their staff doesn’t know what they are doing, or just wants to make money off you/your insurance.

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Carlsons and I have always received excellent vision care. During my recent annual exam, I was seen quickly and had sufficient time with Dr. Carlson to complete the exam in an unhurried manner and have the results of the exam explained to my satisfaction. Dr. Carlson and his staff are friendly and professional and want to help their patients understand good vision health. I recommend Dr. Carlson to my friends and family without reservation.

I have been coming to this establishment for years and I have to say this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. My appointment today involved a new staff and a new eye doctor. I know it takes a while to be seen but i waited in the exam room for over an hour. When I addressed it with the doctor, my concerns were passed over.Additionally, the girl that checked me in had the nerve to try to school me about having too many voicemails which I didn’t appreciate. Then when she found out where I worked, she made negative remarks about it. All this was unsolicited, unprovoked and very insulting.I do not believe I will be returning to this place.**Update** I go in to use the rest of my insurance balance for more contact lenses and once again, I am met with horrible service. Not only did they keep me waiting but when they finally decided to help me, it turns out the last time I was here, one of the workers gave me wrong information about my insurance. She informed me that I did not have to use my entire balance of monies allotted for my contacts from my insurance and that I can come back to use it at any time (I distinctively remember asking her if she was sure this was the policy and she confirmed). Well, she was wrong and now I have to wait 12 months to get my balance replenished.This was a waste of time and perks that I did not get to use.This just reiterates why I will not be returning here. If you decide to do business here, I hope you have a better experience because professionalism and competencies have gone down the drain.

Took care of me quickly as a walk in for contacts. Had a really great deal on the exam and contacts. Dr was knowledgeable and provided the best contactsever for astigmatism they feel great!!

Dr. Carlson is great. He is friendly, experienced, and very competent. The clinic is quite busy and front line staff are sometimes a bit overwhelmed, but overall the clinic runs efficiently and is a convenient to place to get your exam and contacts / glasses.

Since Dr. Carlson left, this is the worst place to go. 2 of my sons were given glasses and they cant even see out of them correctly. The Dr thats on staff now, went by his assistants numbers... he didnt even double check to make any changes. Dr. Carlson was thorough, this new one only wants to get you out. I wish Dr. Carlson would come back to Tampa. Hard for me to go to Plant City.Looking for a new optometrist now...

The service the was provided was great! Amazing doctor and assistant. This appointment was for my 3 year old who did great and was very patient. They catered to her needs and dos wonderfully.However, we waited 2 hours for a 5 minute meet with the Doctor.

My visit today was not only sufficent, but pleasant! Fron walking in to going for my eye exam to meeting with Dr. Cook about my vision.. all they way to paying for services was just simply pleasant! I will be back and you should make this place your optical haven.

Dr. Carlson does not rush through the exam, answers my questions thoroughly and spends ample time explaining treatment options. His staff is knowledgeable when dealing with insurance matters and ordering contact lenses and glasses. Very satisfied with my care. I recommend this office.

I wish I could give zero stars. My appointment was at 10:50, I got there at 10:40 to make sure I wasn’t late and so I could look at the glasses before hand. I waited from 10:40 to 11:50 and still did not get seen. Mind you I had this appointment scheduled over a week in advance. I ended up getting up and leaving because I knew I wouldn’t be able to get my eyes dilated because I had plans the rest of the day, meaning I wouldn’t get an important part of the examination. I would not recommend this to any anybody ever. Do not go unless you have at least a full day to wait in the completely full waiting room.

The office is open and airy, and convenient to get to, with ample parking. The staff is friendly and courteous. I would suggest name tags, it helps me, since I am really bad with names!Dt Carlson is friendly, professional and determined to give me the best sight I can get. The doctor is great - super friendly and explains things to you in an easy to understand kind of way. You never feel rushed like you do when talking to some doctors. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by the massive wait time. Despite having a scheduled appointment, you will wait... and wait... and wait... hours after your scheduled appointment to be seen even if you were early or on time. Yes, I said HOURS. Even after you are called for your turn you will be left alone in a room to wait for the assistant, or doctor, or who knows who MULTIPLE times for 10-20 minutes at a time. This is common practice (over the past 3 years in my experience.) I was told by office staff that it is always that busy and that they are always running behind. Overbooking? Taking too many walk-ins? Im not sure what the problem is but I couldnt take it anymore and finally had to go elsewhere. I went a few miles down the street and was seen at my exact appointment time (yay) and not left waiting around for 20-30 minutes by myself in a room with a doctor who was just as competent and friendly (perfect.) I even ordered my contacts for cheaper than ever before. This place is great if you are okay with waiting to be seen, then waiting some more, and then some more...

Ayee my appointment was at 11:35. They called me back at 11:40-45 which was cool because that wasnt long, doc came in knew what he was doing got me done quick. The receptionist was cool as hell and the girl who helped pick out glasses as everything(I forgot her name but she has an LG phone with a pink care I believe thats all I can think of that will show who Im talking about) she helped a lot and was cool as ever. I like there place and its close by

I had no idea I needed glasses. I chose this place due to their plaice reviews! They were so helpful and I even got my glasses in time for school started just a few days later. I highly reccomend!

The doctors are great. The staff is friendly enough but are obviously not trained very well. (Lots of repeat questions and puzzled looks) It took 5 weeks to get the proper contact lens script (especially after the CS from another location did not share info - TWICE!). No one seems to know what is going on there.Then NO follow up for 8 weeks until I ordered contacts online and they were called for script verification. CFECA then called me and stated “You were supposed to call us.” 🤣Yeah right... I will not go there again.*****update! 4 days later I rec’d an email from the online contacts supplier which stated that CFECA gave them INCORRECT script. I have the trial lenses that they gave me and provided EXACTLY what is on the box. What a joke!

I called this office to get a quote prior to making appoint. I agreed with price and went for a contacts and glasses Rx. Once it was all done I was charged $20 extra and told the quote given was a mistake. Said fine and prepaid for 6 month supply of contacts. Was given a similar trial set (Accuvue not in stock) of contacts and told that I would receive a call in two days to be fitted for correct contacts. Its been a week and a half and no notification via phone or email. I called the office and was put on hold.... 19 minutes later, still on hold, I walked into the office. A young lady (had to be a teenager) attended me. I asked for a manager, and showed I was still on hold. She checked and said the manager was too busy to see me. I then explained my situation. The young lady gave me my contacts (which had come in the week before) and my Rx.This young lady should be in charge and the manager should work for her.Not sure if Ill ever go back. Bad service and experience.

This has to be the slowest place on earth...I had an appointment last Wednesday the Dr wanted to redo it because the tech dialated my daughter eyes and wasnt suppose to.. so I asked her do I need to set an appointment and she told me no just come in and I will pull you to the back preferably before the time of my last appointment which was at 4...I got to the office at 2:45..Only to still not be seen.. at 5 I walked out... Pitiful

The place is nice and the I was in and out of there in about an hour and 15 minutes. But they will NEVER pick up their phone, its actually really frustrating.

Excellent doctor but horrible supervisor. I have been seeing this doctor for years and left the office for a rude supervisor that cancelled my appointment and lied by saying that the staff member called and left a message about the insurance. She claimed because they had a question about the insurance she cancelled the appointment. I was willing to pay out of pocket but she refused to take my kids claiming that someone called and left a message. I showed her my phone and that I didn’t receive any phone calls or messages and with her being very rude she said I understand but the appointment is cancelled. So rude didn’t even finish the conversation and just walked away. I suggest that this doctor fires the horrible supervisor that will have him loose patients.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Carlson. His new location is easier to find than his old one and is clean, comfortable and attractive. He is a wonderful doctor and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I wear glasses and have diabetes so diabetic retinopathy is a concern. There are no long waits and yet he was able to take all the time needed to do a thorough examination to address both my concerns and answer all my questions to my satisfaction. I price shopped at several eye glass stores and Dr. Carlsons store had the best prices for frames and lenses around unless you order online which I have had mixed experiences with. He is also very understanding with bringing little ones along as he has kids of his own. I highly recommend Dr. Carlsons business to anyone in need of an eye doctor and/or glasses or contact lenses.

Just Awful !!! Overcharged on my co-pay, eye exam took 2 hrs to complete and never did get a written prescription, which was the purpose of the appointment. Good luck trying to accomplish anything with a phone call. Found a better doctor 7 miles away. Much better experience.

1/8 of a star. Been getting eye exams for 45+ years. Never, Ever have I seen such filthy phoropters!!! 1st room 3/4 of left eye lens has visual obstructions! How can you get a good eye exam? Was told being difficult, & no one else complains as a response to my question. I did ask it repeatedly. 2nd room phoropter, right eye lens even more obstructed!!! Received a letter in couple days time, Im not allowed to be their patient! Front desk staff person was rude. Least amount of lens flipping choices Ive ever had in my life!!!

I love Dr. Carlson! Hes the sweetest, kindest, most patient person and the best Opt that my son and I have had. But unfortunately next year I believe that I will be seeking services elsewhere. Ive been getting the run around for two days now just trying to see if my son can be prescribed allergy eye drops(if he can, he can, if he cant thats fine too, its a pretty simple matter), but the problem is, Ive been unable to get a direct response from anyone, no one calls you back and tells you anything, even after saying that they will(Ive been told this three time). Then I have a woman on the phone basically telling me that Im going to have to pay an additional $30 copay to come back into the office for this matter, NOT something that I was told yesterday, I was told theyd be happy to call him in the drops yesterday(my son was just there like two weeks ago), so Im even getting conflicting information with the matter overall(and I admittedly just hung up the phone with her, because I was not about to get my blood pressure up, nor let the enemy get a foothold with her foolery--it just wasnt worth it at that point--I was like Not today Satan!!). I called the office yesterday for over an hour and no one answered the phone, I had to end up calling the other office(plant city) just to get someone to answer to the phone. Im not sure of what takes place here, I mean I definitely comprehend being busy, but to have this kind of run around doesnt make the office seem busy at all, it makes it seem unprofessional and unorganized. Patients shouldnt have to go through this. Dr. Carlson himself is terrific, so choosing to go elsewhere will be difficult, but then you think about the fact that its not Dr. Carlson you have to deal with directly when issues arise--its the front office staff--that leans the decision to seek services elsewhere in an easier direction. Smh.(giving this review 3 stars for Dr. Carlson alone)UPDATE:Just now updating this....But as soon as Dr. Carlson heard the situation, he got on it! Thats the kind of service that makes me keep going back to him. Hes such an awesome human being, aside from being one of the best Opts ever..... Will be returning, because even my kid really likes him too(lol). Hoping that the office staff sees these reviews and shapes up and improve, because your service is extremely important to a patients overall experience as well.~Blessings~

This place is a joke. Saw them in October 2020 and STILL have not received my TRIAL contacts. I have called twice now and each time someone has told me they would look into it and the only explanation Ive ever gotten is theyre not here yet. No explanation as to why, no offer to fit me with a different brand, nothing. These people couldnt care less about their patients clearly. Cant wait to get my contacts so Ican just find a new doctor.Edit: the contacts have been at the office and available since God knows when.Edit: rx was completely incorrect by the time I picked up my contacts. Wish I could give zero stars
