Such a great experience! We were in Tampa on vacation and my daughter lost her glasses. Found this place on Google and was able to book an appointment right away. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The doctor was very easy going and accomplished-he even gave her a pair of contacts until her glasses were ready so she could see the rest of the day. We got the 2/1 deal and she got both pair finished in 5 hours. I wished we lived here because I would absolutely go back. I highly recommend them!
I went on a Friday afternoon to have 2 pairs of glasses done, Sheyla, the tech that was working with me was quick and very helpful and went out of her way to make sure I was happy with my selection. Over all a great experience. Would recommend.

Came here about two weeks ago for contact lens exam and have had an overall alright experience. Staff is friendly and it’s pretty easy to get an appointment. Exam was a bit awkward because the doctor seemed to be rushing and concerned with another patient before me. I also have to say that transparency in timelines has been lacking and I have had to reach out to confirm a trial order, to which I received a few different answers and am still unsure if/when they will come.

My experience at this Eyeglass World in South Tampa was phenomenal!!! The staff there was so helpful. The Opthalmologist, Shayla and Phil were very knowledgeable they made me feel welcomed.

I have to give Eyeglass World credit. They have great prices, great customer service and they followed through on their warranty 100%. My dog chewed up one of my pairs of glasses and I told them what happened and they replaced it hassle-free, quickly, at no cost to me. Id highly recommend them.

Had to come to their office two times after doing my eye exam there. One time they misspelled my name. second time they forgot to give me my lenses prescription paper
Lost my glasses at the beach on vacation and needed a replacement in a hurry. With a copy of my prescription from my home optometrist, they had a replacement for me in under an hour! Absolute lifesavers!
I literally just left this establishment. They stated that they no longer take VSP insurance the beginning of this year, yet I called Tuesday December 1st and they said they do take it and called again last night. I was the second person to be told they dont take that insurance while waiting. My appointment was at 11:45am and was told at 12:19pm. Someone is not trained in doing there job. Update as of Dec 8. The receptionist even stated that day that its a headache to bill vsp and if I wanted to I can pay now. If the receptionist is saying that to me why would I stay to pay out of pocket first.
I came in for a quick adjustment for my glasses and was in and out in minutes. Phil did a great job!

May I just say this place has the BEST customer service of anywhere I have been in a long time. I purchased two pairs of glasses here. Excellent selection by the way. I had a little tumble @ home, glasses fell off and got scratched. I bought the scratch protection; new lenses were ordered and in within a week. Took the glasses in to have new lenses put in and they were done in ONE HOUR. Amazing! I have stopped in once or twice previously for adjustments and they staff is well trained, professional and very friendly! I would have given 10 stars if available!!!!!

Came in on a Saturday because my contact lenses brand I had been ordering and wearing was hurting my eyes. Even a box of brand new contact lenses were hurting my eyes terribly. I thought I should probably get eyeglasses and start giving my eyes a break. Charles suggested that I switch my brand of contact lenses because thats why I was probably having so much pain. I tried the contacts he handed me and immediately noticed an unbelievable difference. Couldnt believe that all I had to do was change the brand and he knew that in 5 minutes! Helped me pick out two pairs of glasses, since I hadnt had a pair of eyeglasses in a very long time and was able to have a plan to pick them up in less than 48 hours! Great service and unbelievable people. I would highly recommend this location of Eyeglass World

My mom needed new glasses in a hurry to take her drivers test prior to her birthday. I called everywhere, tried everything....everyone else needed a week to 10 days. This place had her specialty lenses put into two pair of glasses the NEXT DAY! The people were professional, courteous, helpful, polite, and took their time! And the prices were less than half of what everyone else quoted! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! Great selection of lenses too! I wont ever go anywhere else!
This place is amazing. I traveled to Tampa for a week and forgot my prescription sunglasses at home. I had my prescription faxed to them, and they made me a pair in under 2 hours. Joe helped me out and he could not have been nicer.
Outstanding experience. After another place was trying to charge me between $240 to $320 to fill my eyeglasses prescription, Eyeglass World charged significantly less for the same thing. The lady helping me was also very sweet and helpful. I mentioned to her that color contacts might be fun to try and she gave me a couple colors to try for free and she even took the time to show me how to put them on and take them out. And to top it all off, she said my prescription would be ready in 24 hours. Can’t beat that! I’ll definitely be returning a customer in the future for all my eyecare needs.

I highly recommend this location over other the stores in the area. Charles (manager) and Amanda (sales associate) went above and beyond to help me out when my glasses old broke. They also gave me an amazing deal on two new pairs and helped me with my first pair of contacts. Best experience I have ever at Eyeglass world or any eyeglass store period!!
If you need to see the eye doctor, purchase new glasses or contacts, go here! Seriously, dont waste your time anywhere else! Ive been to all kinds of places around Tampa/St.Pete and they cant compete with the level/quality of customer service I received from the staff. The physician was very nice and thorough, which I appreciated. The staff was caring, patient and they took their time to educate me on all of my options. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. The staff made me feel like they cared about me as a customer and not as a dollar sign. Now if you want to pay outrages prices, receive terrible customer service and ultimately get a poor quality product, this is not your place. However, if you want to save yourself the hassle of dealing with gimmicks and sales tricks, then go in a check them out. Im confident you will see what Im talking about and will enjoy the same experience I received. Ask for Charles or Kevin, thats who I had the pleasure of dealing with primarily, but the entire team was outstanding!
At first I thought they were a little pricey what I needed glasses bad. I was not pleased with the active Transitions and they immediately ordered me another pair of lenses. I am extremely ecstatic because the service was amazing. She offered me another pair of frames at half off and I could use the transition lenses on those. So I ended up getting two pairs of glasses for an excellent price. I will definitely return to this place annually for my check-ups and glasses. I walked out with a big smile on my face. What a great place to go to. Top-notch employees and service.

I just moved to this area, so Ive been looking for a new place that can handle my eyeglass and contact lenses requirements.Ive had 4 eyeglasses done here and I couldnt be happier. Every time I went, they were professional, helpful, and courteous. Im not going to buy my glasses anywhere else. Highly recommended. A+.
I chose this place to get my annual vision check up and the optometrist gave me a wrong prescription. I had bad headaches for few days until I decided to go back and asked him to double check my prescription and he accepted that he was wrong. It was very inconvenient for me to go twice to get a new prescription and wait again to get new lenses. The optometrist Glenn Sudbury seems to me that he should be retired by now. I was able to see during my eye exam that mistake happening but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I was wrong. The place and staff satisfied my expectations but I don’t recommend to anyone to have his/her eyes check with that specific optometrist.
I had the best experience at Eyeglass World in South Tampa. The team from start to finish made me feel important and that my needs would be met. I am still struggling to get used to my new progressive glasses but I am sure in time I will. 5 star service for sure!
The staff was amazing. Everyone was so nice & they were able to accommodate a same day appointment. A year later I returned for new contacts & they can’t get my prescription right. The computers were down for over 2 weeks and every time I make an appointment, I end up waiting over 45 minutes. I’ve been back 3 separate times & they act like it’s an inconvenience for them. Dropped to one star. I wish I could leave negative stars. They never one contacted me about outstanding invoices & I visited in person several times! Now they have a collections agency calling me. DO NOT go here!!!

I went in for an exam and glasses. I chose this location (45 mins away) due to the excellent reviews. The exam was wonderful and Dr. Sudbury is an expert in his craft. He was able to determine my prescription so I can see clearly! The office staff on my initial visit was wonderful as well. Charles was the associate who helped me with the selection and checkout process and he was friendly, professional, and helpful.When my glasses were ready, I picked them up and couldn’t see well in them. I asked the man at the counter if the prism had been put in both sides; he said the prism was only for one eye and it sometimes takes time to get used to a new prescription. I asked if he could verify because I had spoken with the doctor and he specifically mentioned both eyes. He said he looked and that’s what it was. I figured he was right and went home. After a couple weeks of trying both pair of glasses, I still couldn’t wear either pair for more than a few minutes without a headache and called back to the shop. The woman who answered checked into it for me and told me to bring them back. It turns out there was supposed to be a prism in both eyes and they would be happy to fix the issue. While she was taking care of me in the store, she apologized for the confusion and offered to put anti glare on my lenses as a gesture for my troubles. I thanked her and she said they would let me know when the glasses were ready.Almost two weeks later, I called to see if the glasses were back in yet (they had to be sent out due to my prescription) and only one pair was in, however, it did not have the anti glare that the woman offered. I asked the person on the phone why it didn’t have it and she said she would look into it for me. The next day, I got an automatic call that said my glasses were ready so I called back to confirm. Both pairs were ready, but only one pair had anti glare. I asked again if there was a reason why and they said she would ask a manager and get back to me. I never got a call. The day after, I drove to Tampa to pick the glasses up. I was able to see (yay!!) but I asked again if they had an answer as to why the anti glare was only on one pair. They said I would have to speak with a manager, but she wasn’t in. I asked to have her call me when she was and thanked them as I left. Two days later, I still didn’t get a call. I called back and was told (again) that I would need to speak with a manager, she wasn’t in, and they would have her call.It’s been over 5 months and no call so I’m not holding my breath.Overall, the process of getting the eye exam, choosing frames, and ordering the glasses was great. Charles was, as I mentioned, so helpful. My only complaint is that they didn’t stand by their word regarding the anti glare. It wasn’t something I ordered initially, but I was grateful that they offered it in an attempt to make things right since it was several weeks that I couldn’t use the glasses that I ordered due to the initial wrong prescription. I thought it was a nice gesture, but ultimately not well executed. If they could fix that customer service issue, I would gladly give 5 stars.
Went in to return glasses that I purchased yesterday from a different location and was informed I had to return to the original. This was an inconvenience but not the biggest concern. The gentleman I spoke with did not listen to anything O said regarding the glasses. He actually cut me off mid-sentence to say he had to check with his manager. This was confusing to me because if a store has a return policy of not being able to to accept returns from other stores it should be well known by staff. This made me wonder why it was a question in my case. Also I received some speculative stares from another employee. The glasses were new, never worn, in the cases with the original receipt from yesterday. Wouldnt return to this location.

Great selection, very helpful staff, from Amanda getting me in and out quick with the doctor to Kevin assisting with frames. They were conscious of my decision making and I know where I will be going in the future. Take my word as someone whos used vision works, Sears optical, JCPenneys vision center, this place has a better selection and a well rounded team!
I had a great experience with Eyeglass World. Joseph let me take all the time I needed to browse at the glasses and when I was ready he answered all my questions. And the glasses will be ready by Monday, only 2 days because of an in house lab!
The best team ever...I dropped off my sunglasses at 9:30 to get prescription lenses and they were ready before noon...I will refer all my friends and family members there. Best pricing in town.
This place is so accomadating and helpful! I came in about a month ago looking for some glasses. The manager of the store helped me, and he was so sweet and had me try on a ton of glasses to make sure i got ones that i loved! I bought those glasses and I also chose to get a second pair of sunglasses,and left saving so much money because i got the 2 for 78 dollars deal! After about a month i hated the regular glasses i had picked out (since i was trying to go for a different look) and called to see if i could exchange them! The staff was so helpful and said i could come and change them and that it wouldnt be an issue! They are quick, easy to deal with, and not pushy in the slightest ! I will definitely be coming back here for my contacts in the summer, and will reccomeded this particalar eye glass world to anyone looking for some new frames! Thank you so much!(:

I hadnt had an eye exam in 16 years because I have no vision problems but I had some minor irritating eye strain in my right eye that prompted me to get a routine eye exam after my mother informed me that she and her three older siblings have macular degeneration (sp?)So, I chose the closest eye doctor to my home and I had a wonderful experience. From the moment the phone was answered to make the appointment I was greeted with courtesy, knowledge and professionalism! During my visit I was amazed by the doctors, technology and product displays!Turns out I have astigmatism which confirmed my initial eye strain complaint and a photo of my eye confirmed I am not at risk for macula degeneration which eased my mind. The doctor was very thorough and I appreciate the time he spent explaining things to me as well as making recommendations for eye health supplements. It was all very informative!I highly recommend this location. The staff is fabulous and I had a pair of glasses to suit need within the afternoon and I am going to bed tonight without the dull throb of eye strain.
