Ask for Tommy. My wife and I traveled 1hr 30min to this dealership. However, my salesman Tommy was able and willing to do alot of work before we got to the dealership. Most salesman will not talk anything until your at the desk which wastes alot of everyones time. I appreciate the respect from the sales managers for that. Everyone was polite and had good energy. Ask for Tommy, he gives a great presentation of the vehicle and has alot of knowledge on the 2022 Tiguan and he kept it real with us. His paper work was on point, so we didnt have to wait long for finance. We where done in 2 hours and he showed us two models. Very professional and detailed in his work.I dealt with 3 other salesman at different VW dealers before landing at Toms River VW. I will say this dealership by far is the nicest and cleanest. The staff where all polite and we where greeted by everyone. There was no awkward silence between us and the other salesman like walking zombies. Great vibe here. They also beat carmax appraisal on our trade in.I will be back to see Tommy in March with my mother when her Nissan Rogue lease is up to get her a Atlas. We made an appointment with the dealer to come see a used car today. We drove an hour to the dealership and only then did they tell us that the car had been sold the day before. They knew we were coming, yet they didnt have the courtesy to give us a heads up ahead of time. I dont have a problem with them selling the car... just not telling us after scheduling an appointment. Hopefully theyll rectify this for others in the future.

Made an appointment to look at a used vehicle. Asked about photos of the vehicle over the phone and through texts and was told photos were not available because the car was just brought in. Arrived on time for the appointment only to be told by a salesmen that he couldnt sell me the car because it was in bad condition. Not sure why they would advertise a vehicle they felt wasnt worth selling. Carfax showed no indication that this vehicle would be in terrible condition. I walked out, probably never to return again.

Excellent experience with this Dealership, No pressure, Kudos to Sales Manager Walter & my Salesman Nick S. Both very Professional and really knew their Vehicles. Pleasure dealing with them. I called the dealership to see if they had a particular car on their lot and spoke to Angelo. He was very helpful & friendly on the phone and had it ready and waiting for me to look at & test drive when I arrived. I ended up purchasing the car and he made the process very easy from start to finish. I really enjoyed dealing with Angelo because he didn’t seem like a β€œtypical” car salesman. He was not pushy or aggressive in trying to sell me a car. His manager, Mike was also very helpful and took the time to explain certain parts of the sale. It was a pleasure dealing with them and I am very excited about my new car.

If I had the option to give 0 stars I would. August of 2020 I had my back brake rotors and pads replaced here. I paid $675. Invoice/ receipt said highly recommended front brakes and rotors replacement very soon (August 2020 )Now im back a little over year later to have front brakes checked and fixed if needed. They started taking apart brakes and rotors then continued to do service without giving me a total or diagnosis. I stopped them, asked them how much and they then let me know the price which was around 650 they couldnt give me exact. I told them to stop, put my car back together and that I can not pay that. They put my car back together as brought there. Repair receptionist handed me my keys and said nothing. I then left in silence. I went directly to another place of business. The new place took a look at my Jetta on the lift and said my brakes are perfectly fine and wont need a replacement for a long while and when I do need brake pads, rotors etc that it would be under $500. They then told me a bigger problem of concern. My axle was completely torn and needed to be replaced sooner than later . This new place even physically showed me. Please Read…Volkswagen of Toms River is not safety prioritized. Continuing to do service that is NOT needed just to make a sale. They dont even tell you real issues of importance. Just imagine the damage a broken unknown axle could have caused because it was NOT ADDRESSED. I highly suggest to not trust Volkswagen of Toms Rivers mechanics or there staff. I can not. They are sales individuals NOT professionals.

Sales team and Manager at this location are not great, takes their sweet time to respond (several weeks). Also after sales transaction is done they dont bother to respond for number plates and dont answer phone calls and very rude and laid back, maybe cause they are at the Shore! Beware and get things in writing if doing any transaction here.

In July 2021 I leased a Taos SEL in Cornflower Blue. The staff members were terrific! Tommy (our sales rep) was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with detail. I never felt pressured and appreciated his calm demeanor. My car was in the show room, so before driving it home, they polished it up, topped it off with gas, and made sure I was happy with it. We were in and out (with a test drive) in under three hours. Thanks to the entire staff for their professionalism and kindness.

I highly recommend Toms River Dealership! Called to see if they had the Atlas SE RLine which they did, came in Monday and met with Angelo. Angelo was a straight shooter, didnt BS me, gave me the price we spoke about over the phone and was very helpful and professional! If your interested in financing or leasing a VW, ask for Angelo! I also have to say Matt from Finance was also great too!

Unfortunately, they sold us a preowned β€œcertified” car less than a year ago and it has been in the shop 4+ times for problems. Found out the headlights weren’t manufacturers and GLUED IN. They also said our brake pads were at 7mm being bought, 9,000 miles later they’re worn down to 1 mm. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! They just talk over you and ignore your problems. Horrible wish we never bought the car from here.

Shifty! The same time I had an appointment, I got a voicemail saying the car I was going there for had JUST SOLD! ( I called to tell them I was running late right around the time the voicemail came in, they said nothing). So I dont believe them. ( But they had inventory that I may be interested in, of course they do!!.) I left! I dont think the car actually existed except once upon a time, I could be wrong. I saw it as bait and switch. (The end of the month or quarter has them especially desperate). I had read some negative reviews from customers who experienced the same. I should have paid attention.I went down the road and bought a car.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Rude receptionist. A family member of mine asked me to contact them for the motor vehicle work that we should have received a month ago. The (used and abused) vehicle they purchased from VW of Toms River engine blew up. They lied straight to us on the phone saying it takes awhile after the registration comes in for the title. Meanwhile all we want to do is junk the car. I WILL NEVER PERSONALLY RECOMMEND THEM DUE TO THIS EXPERIENCE. Someone there is dropping the ball meanwhile I’m stuck with a junk car parked on the street with an expired Temp tag from a month ago now.

I had an amazing experience at this Volkswagen car dealership! Tommy Miller was incredibly helpful and straightforward throughout the whole process from start to finish. Even before arriving at the dealer Tommy had the car I was interested in waiting for me at the front. He even helped me with trading in my old car for my new one. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Volkswagen and it shows. Matt Forvour in the finance department was also incredibly helpful and super professional. He thoroughly explained the finances and the paperwork, showing me all the costs that added up to the total to make sure there were no hidden fees. I am super grateful to these two people and this dealership for helping me get the car I wanted. I would 10/10 recommend them!

They are so rude, and dishonest there. Sold me a certified preowned that had LED’s GLUED onto our headlights. Our car kept saying front bulb issue & they had the audacity to try to tell us that was the better solution than a manufacturer (VW made) bulb. The car has not been in our hands for even a year yet & we keep having issues. But they continually tried to tell me it’s not their problem. Just horrible, please save yourself time, strife and MONEY. DON’T GO HERE. Also read reviews on them at cars.com and their Facebook page - so many other people saying SAME exact things about β€œcertified” cars and their customer service which is terrible. GM Mike talked down to me like I was incompetent the entire time. Frauds.

If your a FEMALE DO NOT bring your car in for service! Brought the car in ( on a Friday ) for a humming noise. Got a call that there was not a noise told them to take it on the parkway... Call back, they heard the noise, told it was a bearing, fine. Spent $650 to replace it ( thinking it was factory part, actually was autozone part ). Pick it up Friday night, get on the parkway the noise is even louder. Bring it back Monday, calling the service manager on the way to explain everything. He takes the car β€œout”, then comes back telling me there is no noise and that he was going up to 70 mph on 37! When I questioned him on the speed limit being 50 he has the nerve to tell me he knows the cops so it’s okay. Told him no we need to go on the parkway. We go for a ride and he hears the sound, and has the nerve to say oh you need FRONT PASSENGER BEARING! I told him the noise was never fix so I’m not paying for anything because my issue wasn’t taken care of. Had the nerve to tell me that yes it was and I should be great full that they aren’t charging me for the time they are looking at it, and that they can put my old bearing back in and take it somewhere else. When I told him if his mechanic took the car back on the parkway AFTER replacing the bearing ( not even factory! Autozone brand!) then he would have heard the noise. I would tell him something just for him to repeat it couple minutes later. He is very rude and sarcastic. He will tell you one lie then when you question what the hell he just said he gets loud and sarcastic. Ryan ( service writer ) the original person I dealt with, is very sweet and knows how to deal with customer service. I will NEVER recommend this place for sales ( which most of my family has come here and bought cars) and service.

I bought a new jetta in March 2021 and was promised an automatic starter as part of the deal. I scheduled the appt and was told that there was a system glitch and it couldnt be factory installed. They gave me a voucher to have it installed elsewhere but I wanted something in writing that it wouldnt void my warranty. I was told they would call me in a month. I called months later after not hearing from anyone and was given the run around by the service guy that an appt would need to be scheduled to drop off my car and have it obscured but he couldnt schedule the appt. and was told my salesman would call me that day. I still have not heard from anyone and all I want is my starter installed.9/16/21 i just got my remote start installed after a long wait and I couldnt be happier. Dave is service is amazing amd I will only deal with him in the future. Thanks Dave for making a stressful situation easier.

I am usually not one to write reviews, but at this point I feel it necessary. I have been leasing my vehicle for 4 years and have had a pleasurable experience with Volkswagen customer service; but all of that changed once I bought out the vehicle. The day of switching from a lease to a buy, service had taken my car to do a routine inspection. I was not made aware of what was inspected, and so at the end of my appointment I asked one of the service employees for written documentation of what needed to be repaired being that the vehicle was now mine. One of the service guys drove my car back into the parking lot and mentioned that I needed 4 new tires and new brakes, but there was no written statement of what needed to be done so I was confused and just wanted clarification. The service employee at the desk inside was extremely rude (completely different from the past 4 years of leasing- ironic!) and she snarled as I kindly asked for a report (they always give reports after oil changes so didn’t think it would be a difficult process). The employee remained very angry and asked me for my email, basically pushing me away and stating she would email it to me later in the day. Days passed, no emails or report. I called back up, another service employee took down my information and pushed me along, still no report or call back. Also, about 4-5 days after purchasing the car and struggling with service, my radio touchscreen and buttons completely stopped working. Weird? After 4 years of owning the car and 0 problems with the radio, now all of the sudden it stops working? Called today and made an appointment to get it looked at… was told it might be $700 to replace. What???! A brand new radio all the sudden broken after buying my vehicle out? Kind of fishy. Really upset with the service department and how they treat customers once the leasing experience is over. I will say that Tommy M., the individual who leased me the vehicle and was there the day I purchased it, is an absolute gem in the dealership world and deserves 5 stars! He is extremely kind, personable, patient, honest and knowledgeable! If it wasn’t for him, I probably would no longer be with Toms River Volkswagen.

I am not one to write bad reviews but we had such a bad experience at this dealership. My fiancΓ© had been looking for a new vehicle for him to lease. We bought his previous Jetta from this dealership and hoped that our continued loyalty would be recognized in finding a perfect car for him. We were wrong. As soon as we entered the store, we were not greeted by a single sales member (And we were the only customers in the store). It took five minutes of us looking around to finally be approached by a salesman. We told him what we were interested in (A Tiguan) and we took one for a test drive. He came back with his offer, which was way above what we were looking to spend on a leased vehicle (and yes, aware of the car shortage currently). When we expressed this, he stated what we were looking to spend was β€œimpossible,” did not try to make any type of negotiation, and when we inquired about instead looking into the VW Taos which is a smaller vehicle, he shot us down immediately. There was not even a discussion of what could be afforded in our price range. We walked out of there discouraged but decided to look online and see if we could find a used vehicle, sure enough came across a used 2018 Tiguan at this dealership, so my fiancΓ© went back the next day. The man he was scheduled to meet with β€œwas off that day” and was paired with someone else, who again offered no negotiation. The offered price per month for this used vehicle was not much different from the brand new Tiguan we spoke about the day before! Needless to say we left without any resolution. We are extremely disappointed in our car shopping experience at Toms River VW, especially considering we were previous customers. We will not be returning here!

The competition doesnt stand a chance so smooth and seats 7 with much much elbow room to spare this all around is absolute superiority and built like no other. very heavy weight distribution with adaptive willowy rubber interior and solidarity felt throughout, she is designed differently such craftsmanship, its the entire mood aura or better yet semblance quivers onto your spirit and soul. Which in return dictates your positive energy flow for each day. Call me nuts, no its the motion of goodness that lingers all around this perfect riding force. No shortcuts were needed to be performed all the way down to the medium hard plastic cosmetics. That U know when your in a luxury vehicle? Yes we do. Right?. Well VW over did it!

He took the time and located a specific model and the night before I was set to pick up the truck, I gave him all the info needed. I was in and out in 15 minutes. My girlfriend and I had a very rare situation with the car we were trading back in and the entire staff were very helpful. When there were some hiccups along the way, the Finance Officer Matt, the Manager Walt and our Sales Agent Nick found a way around everything to help champion our case. I have to say... after recieving action, support and a level of customer I did not know even existed anymore I will recommend everyone and anyone who is wondering where to buy a vehicle from... Go to Toms River Volkswagon, new or used and know that driving away...You got a force in all you look for in an auto dealership. Becasuse you are just a phone call or visit away from recieving THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I ever heard of, let alone recievied...Im not going to go through the whole ordeal. But, Mike (the general manager) and Dave (service manager) Stepped up to a level that NO DEALERSHIP would ever do... They saw an error or something that could have passed through any car dealership... I BELIEVE 99.9 Percent would have sent me packin just cause they could on paper... TR Volkswagon went to a level of expense and ethics I think of and admire every time I start my vehicle.. Im in shock, Im dumbfounded and when I tell people what happend, they look at me like Im crazy...I had my doubts and truly thought I was going to eat the cost of a repair I COULD NOT FATHOM, let alone AFFORD!. The red tape got sorted through, I was given a brand new SUV as a loaner and next thing I know, my vehicle is better than I could ever imagine..Mike, Dave, even Patty at the front desk, The Entire STAFF at Toms River Volkswagon Auto Grouup... I came to see a 2013 Ford Fusion and they have literally been asking me to come in and test drive the car and even called me this morning confirming my Appointment with them and I drove 2 hours just to test drive this car and actually purchase it and as soon as I got there, they tell me they sold the Ford I came to see last night. This place is so unprofessional. I’m never coming here again. The guy name was Frank that was suppose to assist me and he looked at me and turned back around and had some other guy assist me. My first time ever buying a car from a dealership, my dad came with me for help but James was super great and did everything he could to get me into a new car that I liked. Originally was looking at the deal they had for the 2020 jetta but then after seeing my credit wasnt as good as I thought (be careful of credit karma and other apps!), that one didnt work out but we wer able to find a 2017 that I loved and it was very taken care of with super low miles, still a jette AND in the grey I wanted! Everyone there was very nice, i wasnt pressured into buying and extras for the car and my dad whos more experienced with dealerships said this was the EASIEST car deal hes ever gone through. Would highly recommend and may go back when its time for a new one!

Just recently bought a 2010 Honda civic for my 17-year-old daughter. We had another vehicle in mind and they had the key but couldn’t find the vehicle. Really pushing us to buy the Honda. After purchasing the Honda we fully understood why they wanted to get it off the lot so badly. They put my daughter in a vehicle not only cost us $1500 in repairs only one week after driving it off the lot but also we were told that it was dangerous for her to even be driving it. When I called the dealership I was told that a used car manager was not available. They only had new car managers available. They took my information and promised to call back which never happened. I guess you’re only important if you purchase a new car even though I’m sure they made a lot more money off of ripping us off with this used car that needed $1500. worth of work immediately after being driven home. Shameful service.I hope more people speak up and your reputation is damaged permanently for taking advantage of my 17-year-old child’s first car buying experience

I requested a call via their chat system, then I called them (twice), and emailed three times. Each time, their customer service reps promised a call back. And even their sales manager promised someone would call me. That was 3 weeks ago and I have not received so much as an email or text, let alone a call! Guess I dodged a bullet!

Came to this dealership the day before Thanksgiving to look into a used Honda we saw online. The deal went pretty smooth. However it was late when everything finished so we took delivery that night and noticed when we got it home there were no floor mats. I called 11 times after that between 11/27 and 12/21 trying to get these mats. Today is 12/28 and I still have no mats and havent been contacted to pick up plates or anything. I got a call from the GM and a voice mail FINALLY stating the possible reasons the mats were not in the truck but his promises have NOT been kept as of today. BTW those 11 calls not one callback until the last one finally. They do NOT RETURN CALLS HERE. Sad we gave our business to them but we are stuck now. 21 year old young lady purchased a used car from this dealership on June 18. She was assured the car was in great shape and checked out from top to bottom. Financed the car and purchased the recommended extended warranty. This past Sunday, August 23, 2 months after purchase, the car broke down on her way to work. She was stranded in the middle of the highway. The police responded and called a company to tow the car ($200.00). We towed the car to Toms River Volkswagen because we had the warranty and assumed that since the car was so recently purchased the problem would be covered. Wrong! The battery and alternator were shot (shouldn’t those things have been part of the top to bottom inspection they performed before the car was driven off the lot?). The cost was Just over $1300.00!!!!!!!! Plus the $200.00 tow! That seems insane for a car purchased from a reputable dealership just 2 months prior. We spoke to Mike, the service manager. He was very unsympathetic and actually said that β€œhe doesn’t have crystal ball”. He did nothing to help - and was rather condescending and snarky. We felt very disrespected by him - maybe because we are women? Matt, who was our service agent was very nice, however there was nothing he could do. I still don’t understand why nothing was covered by the warranty they told us to purchase. I called the owner, Tom McMenamin and left a message on Monday asking him to call back. So far he has not called. My recommendation is NOT to buy a used car from Toms River Volkswagen and do not use their service department. They do not stand behind their products and do not care about the customer once the car has been driven off the lot. So very disappointing.

They also say they can’t provide pictures but keep asking me to call. When looking at other reviews, it is super obvious this is a very shady dealership. Worst dealership Ive ever dealt with. Let me tell you why. Left with a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander, back in July. Was told when I signed that I would need to bring in paystubs no problem. I feel awful for anyone who has to deal with Joann McCarthy one of the finance officers. Joann McCarthy seriously needs a course on customer service, and how to speak to them. She spoke to me as if I was an entitled kid, and told me to stop whining and then hung up on me. Ive never been spoken to like that by anyone in my life. After that phone call then it was complete harassment. Apparently, she had an issue with the bank (why would you let me drive off of the lot with a brand new suv if there was an issue with the bank? Told me my car payment had changed, by almost $100 (increased by the way) and I needed to come down and sign the new bank paperwork after thinking about it...I said did she really just try to pull a fast one on me? Absolutely! I was not going to be paying $589 for a Mitsubishi, I informed her I would be returning the vechicle. I am so glad I have one voicemail saved from her (as thats all I got) in the voicemail she told me that if I did not return the vechicle that day that she would call the police and show up at my place of work to have the suv repossed.What I find ironic is how can you have a vechicle repossed if there is no bank paperwork signed? I had every intention of returning the vechicle as long as I recieved my down payment (which I did) however because I couldnt get down there the day she wanted me to thats when I recieved the nasty voicemail. I will be contacting the attorney general to file a complaint. No ONE should be treated like this. No one!

Great place. Nice people. They are, without any doubt, one of the best car dealerships in the Tri-state region. They are transparent with the fees and prices.They are honest and friendly. You can enjoy customer lounge with free WiFi, coffee, water, fresh bagels and popcorn.I went there on April 15. I spent 7 hours and drove out with my first car. The most important point is that they are willing to negotiate the price with you. They helped us to finance the car with the lowest possible APR. Besides the point I just moved and called in to see if I can get info on my car so I can pay the bill. I understand this is not a typical phone call and my husband and I tried to find out the info before calling the dealership. However, the women was so RUDE.Its a shame too because I have referred to other people who bought cars to this dealership and my coworker is looking to buy a VW. I will make sure she goes to a different dealership. Meanwhile you should train your staff in customer service. You have no problem being nice when I needed a car.

As soon as I decided I loved the black and tan Jetta SE Michael told us to enjoy our day at the beach and pick the car up on the way home. Volkswagens are extremely reliable cars this is my second Volkswagen and although I’ve only had it for a day I am absolutely over the moon. Bought a 2021 Atlas on November 27th, 2020z Its January 26th 2021 and I still dont have registration for car or new plates I paid for. Also Im owed a check from the equity from the trade-in and still have not received the check. This is a check for over $2k. I would like to know how does it take 2 months to register a car? Temporary plates expired a month ago on December 26th. So in reality Im driving a car thats illegal and can be ticketed $60 a day or impounded if I run into a cop that is having a bad day. When you call you get the run around and the standard β€œim going to call you back” lie. Even spoke to the GM and that has done nothing. 2 weeks he assured me everything will be taken car of. As of today nothing is taken care of.Do yourself a favor and save your time and more importantly your save your money. Cars are expensive these days, this is a 45k SUV not a 2k beater and to have customer service like this is appalling. They dont even install the front license plate bracket, they just threw it in the back. Go to another VW dealer and VW needs to know whats going on in this dealership thats representing their brand.

STAY AWAY!! I would give ZERO stars if possible. Yesterday (Wednesday) a used car was available and it was a perfect fit. My wife makes an appointment to see it Friday. Meanwhile, my wife received numerous texts and emails stating that they are excited to show the vehicle. We make a call today (Thursday) to see the car (Santa Fe 10) and were told to come in, 15 minutes later. We get there and told that it was sold last night. Then, the dealership wants to show us cars that are twice the asking price of the vehicle we wanted to see. And, later today, when my wife went back online to look at their inventory, shes told, by the online assistant, that the SAME car is still available, theres been a mistake. Clearly, BAIT and SWITCH. There were very FEW employees wearing masks. I confronted the manager after running into two female employees without masks. He assured me they are supposed to but then did nothing about it. To top it off, they wrote up things on my car report that werent true, then blamed it on the fact that 3 mechanics were sharing a computer and it was meant for a different car! Shady as all hell! I have to say my whole experience was disappointing. No one was wearing a mask indoors, or if they did it was pulled down. No one seemed eager to help or knowledgeable. The salesman who did finally come over to us never pulled up his mask or stayed 6 feet away. I had to keep moving back. And to top it off they tried to lease us a 2 year old car that was extremely over priced for what it was.

Then was having transmission troubles. Raul helped and he was awesome! My car is running great and I will be comeback for service here. My daughter while vacationing at the shore couldnt start her 2015 Golf tdi. I found the nearest dealer here at Toms River. Matt, the service advisor squeezed us on their tight schedule. It turns out it needed a new battery. They called me to notify me the problem and what blew me away is that they covered ($50 our copay) all the expenses under warranty. Came in to purchase a vehicle with a friend, and the sales transaction initially went smoothly. The salesman was nice and was able to provide the vehicle that we were looking for. A few days later, we get a call that there was a discrepancy in the paperwork that was completed, and that we would need to come back in to sign a new contract. We came back in to sign the new contract and the price came out to be a few dollars cheaper than it was prior which was….great. 3 weeks later, we get a call that the plates came in for the vehicle, but that another mistake was made on the paperwork and he would be required to pay an additional $100 on top of the thousands put down on the vehicle originally. I spoke with the finance person who made the error, who also admitted that she made the error, and she stated that she would speak with her manager to find out if there was anything that could be done to reduce the out of pocket expense due to their error. I never received a call back. I called again and spoke with the receptionist who advised that she would pass my message along to Joanne and that she would call me back. Again...no call back. In the meantime, the dealership called my friend in to tell him that he could come pick up his plates and completely bypassed me, even though I was the one who was in communication with them, because English is not my friend’s first language. When he got to the dealership they forced him to pay the additional monies. I called Joanne back, and she simply apologized for not calling back because they got busy. This dealership takes advantage of people, and they prey on people who are not able to speak for themselves due to language barriers. I am thoroughly upset with this dealership and do not recommend that anyone do business with them if they don’t want to be made to deal with all of their mistakes.

Very disappointed in my experience here. Made an appointment on Saturday to test drive a vehicle the following Tuesday afternoon. Received confirmation via text and email as well as a phone call the day of the appointment from a manager who was expecting my visit. After arranging care for my 4 month old, I arrived at the dealership to find that no one inside was wearing masks or face coverings of any kind. This was initially concerning. Then, I asked for the manager who confirmed my appointment; he was β€œon the phone”. I was told to work with another salesman who then reported that the vehicle I made an appointment to come test drive was β€œout on demo”. The visit was a Complete waste of time. SO DISSATISFIED. I went to look at a cream color 2006 Beetle with my parents and we were told it only had a fray in the top and crack in the window. We went to look at it and it was a piece of JUNK. A total waste of our time. The top had HOLES all over it, the tail light was cracked, the back bumper had been hit, deep scratches around the car, had a stain on the diver’s side door, and the passenger side door looked like it had been glued up. Be honest with your listings and stop wasting people’s time.

I used True Car and got pricing for cars on the lots that matched what I wanted from several dealers. TRVW was the best and the manager sent me emails to confirm the pricing and the car. I made it clear in my True Car application that I was going to purchase. I went to the dealer that night to look at the car and decided that it was a good fit for me and I would take it. Of course the games start. The price was suddenly much higher. When I told them the True Car price I was offered they thought I was lying and the manager in question had left for the day, so I produced the email on my phone. After several conversations with the salesman and managers he tells me he cannot honor the price because it is a lease price, not a sales price. So am I supposed to feel bad that they made a mistake? or was it on purpose? They wanted to negotiate from that price and I reminded them that this was through True Car and I still had other offers out there waiting for me. So, welcome to the free market economy and have a good night. At that the manager came over and suddenly they were finding ways to bring the price down via incentives etc.Ultimately the rest of the process went fairly smooth and service so far has been good. Point of the story: remember you can walk out and do your homework.
