I would not recommend this company to anyone. They couldnt get my eyeglass prescription corrected, after 3 times I just asked for my money back. They start talking short to me like I was wrong because I couldnt see out of the glasses. They were trying to get me to take them even when I told them I couldnt see clear out of the glasses. 3 times I came back for my glasses and they werent right. So 👎to them and their attitudes PERIOD.

Ive been going here for years and I know for a fact that they werent like this before. I made an appointment couple weeks ago and theyre confirming about it. When I made the appointment, i made sure to tell them that my insurance is not active anymore and Im okay paying out of pocket(like what a logical person would do). They called me at least 3 times to ask me about my insurance.. then today, I spoke to one of the associate and she basically said I need to cancel my appointment because I dont have an active insurance... called back few minutes after and associate said the same thing! Like, why am I not allowed to get my eyes check?? You really think I cant afford that 99 dollar fee? Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Me personally Im shocked at some of the reviews! Made me nervous to come here, HOWEVER, I thought everyone was very nice here! First time here yesterday and girl at front was sweet ( she also helped me order new lenses for my frames after my exam), honestly when i called and made the appt beforehand girl on phone was nice too and was patient when I was looking for my insurance card ( maybe same girl).. the lady doing my exam was very sweet and the dr was very nice and took time to explain things to me about how my eyes looked, and even let me see the inside of my eyes which was coolHeck even the guy at front was nice! I didnt deal with him personally but I saw how he was with other customers, So yeah, I would definitely recommend this place!

Im baffled by many of the reviews here. My expereince has with this office has always exceeded my expectations. The doctor and staff are friendly, helpful and professional at all times. At my recent appointment, Angela, in particular, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was especially impressed with the disciplined COVID protocols in place. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Very poor customer service usually trickles down from the top. Your front desk staff is rude, unacommodating and on a serious power trip. I felt so angry after the way I was treated setting up an appointment with My Eye Dr. that I canceled my appointment. Why would I give my money to a business that made me feel like I was a bother? I would never trust a Doctor who would allow his staff to treat people so badly.Instead of answering me with a canned response why dont you READ the other reviews on here and CHANGE your policies when dealing with prospective customers?

Dr Rubin is great and the reason I decided to come back, despite numerous hiccups the first time around. For my morning appointment today, I called ahead to say I would be about 5 mins late (certainly my own fault). The receptionist was adamant I must reschedule even if I’m 5 minutes and 1 second late. What kind of policy is that? What kind of business are you running if that’s the policy? The google reviews here say it all. I’m headed elsewhere

Ive been a patient since 2019. I have been so impressed with the service, staff and medical care at this office. Dr. Rubin takes the time to explain anything that needs explaining. He is also very thorough in following up on family history issues. Every single step of the way with staff has been pleasant, efficient and caring. Ive had bad experiences regarding eye care in the past, so I was a bit nervous, and they alleviated all of my fears.

I can see that this place is not going to be a return visit. My appointment was at 2:10pm I usually have an ongoing appointment at 2pm already so I had to call and cancel that appointment before I came into my myeyedr. I walked in at 2:19 and was told that I had to reschedule because they already took another patient. The office was empty so if the patient that took my spot is in the back why couldnt I take theirs? Front desk clerk was just rude and didnt care. When I started to get upset and tell her why do I have to reschedule for Dec 29th when Im not even 10 mins late? She walked to the back for a second and then came back to say so what date do you want? Rude rude rude rude rude. My children have appointments for tomorrow. Not expecting good service at all when I come back tomorrow and I will be updating my review.

Was five minutes late for an appt. bc of really bad weather. Even though I allowed for extra drive time, things happen. I was told that there is a five minute late rule and if you are late you must reschedule. Bc he allows ten minute appts. and he is on time and doesnt want to run late very unprofessional policy. The myeyedr.com patient portal link in the reviews doesnt work. You can tell there is an auto response. Hmmm. Wonder why you need an auto response? Have many complaints?Not using this company anymore.

If I could give NO stars I would! This site is horrible!!! I live walking distance and still use the Annapolis locations. They are very unorganized here and very unprofessional! One incident My son’s appointment was rescheduled literally an hour before his appt time. This was a BIG inconvenience!!!! Second incident I had his glasses shipped here after our visit at the Annapolis location. I called Annapolis who in turn stated they shipped them on the 10th...turn around time for UPS delivery is 2-3 days. Towson NEVER CALLED US FOR PICK UP so I called Towson 10/17 . Towson of course came up with a trillion excuses per usual (They had them in store). My son suffers from migraines and needed his glasses!!!! I will NEVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING or recommend it! Not interested in excuses so please spare me with your comment underneath thanks!

MrEyeDr on York Rd is the worst place to go for glasses. My experience was horrible their the lab messed my glasses up 3 times. My first visit there I felt rushed, I waited 3 weeks for the glasses which I still couldnt see out them clear. They reexamine my eyes and had to do a different prescription I had to wait another 3 weeks only to get there today and the glasses had the wrong prescription again, this the right lens was super thick. That when I asked for a refund. I Definitely WOULDNT recommend for anyone to go there.Kimberly S.

The appointment itself was super quick and Dr. Rubin was really nice. The organization of the staff leaves much to be desired. They didn’t have the frames I was looking for so I asked them to email me my prescription. They needed a release of information form signed - fine, signed it and sent it right back within five minutes. They said once that was received they could email it immediately. Three hours later I called again and asked them again to email me. They promised they would do it before they closed. Still no email by the end of day and they aren’t open until Monday. I guess I have to wait until next weekend when I’ll have time to try on frames to get a new pair. VERY disappointed. They should have given it to me at the time of my appointment. I probably won’t be back.

GPS took me to shopping wrong shopping center. I was 14 minutes late and was cancelled. I was driving around looking for it. Location had moved prior. Anyway during COVID19 no one was called in to take my place. Front door was locked. Yikes.

I am reviewing for my husband. As a Medicaid client we found this office to be very accommodating. The service was great, prompt and it only took 2 weeks for the glasses to be ready. We were very satisfied with the entire experience. I would recommend this office to anyone insured through Medicaid.

I cant leave ZERO stars. I have needed New prescriptions and glasses since right before COVID. Not their fault - but what is - I scheduled all three of my family members for July 12th they called a day before and said the doctor had an emergency and rescheduled us for the 30th!!! They called TODAY and said the doctor has an emergency - GOOD BYE MY EYE DR. Fool me once shame on you - fool me twice shame on me - NO MORE SUB STANDARD options - and Sevice has gone further down the tubes.

I needed an emergency appointment due to something in my eye that I couldnt isolate - it was causing enormous discomfort. I was able to be fit into the schedule the same morning, on a Saturday. Dr. Rubin isolated and solved the problem, and I felt better right away. He was incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgable. DR. RUBIN is EXCELLENT and that is why I am giving this location 5 STARS. I am grateful for his care and I cannot recommend him highly enough!!! THANK YOU DR. RUBIN!!

Terrible terrible place! I am forced to use this location of my eye doctor to fill my disabled childs prescription for eyeglasses. This is the only place that the state will cover to fill the prescription. Every time we go there is a problem and no one ever contact you to assist you with that problem or figure out what is going on! I took her prescription and the end of October and I am now calling again because it hasnt been filled and they put the frame she chose back out on the Shelf where somebody else bought it! I am so unhappy and frustrated right now I think the state should pull their contract with my eye doctor and find somebody thats more competent!

First I want to start by saying how efficient MyEyeDr is, I set up my appointment online and they send me a email confirming my appointment. And sent me a text the day of my appointment so I wont forget. I came in the the staff greeted me and took my information, I was seen immediately I did not have to wait at all. They have so much staff there some staff even help customers pick out the perfect frame. I had my eyes checked with state of the art machines, didnt need the eye drops since they have a camera that can take photos of your inner eye with out the eye drops, so no blurry vision after the drops! I picked out my frames and I was done in 30 min. I was very impressed with the service. They will be my permanent eye care people from here on out.

If there was an option for 0 this is what I would give this place. Took my daughter for glasses rude lady took the order. Was told since it was Saturday insurance verification wwould be done on Monday and they would call back to let me know when I could pick up the glasses. 2 weeks no call so I can back tthey dont even know what am talking about nor anybody bearing my daughter s information. I ask to speak to the manager a man and promises to look into the issue and call backIts been 4 months now still waiting on the managerHorrible

201811/2 around 330pm Owner Manager needs to realize the angry grumpy person ignoring scheduled appointments to answer the phone is backwards. 10+ minutes were spent ignoring me for 3 or 4 calls last one when caller was asking for another location and directions. I would have been served quicker standing at the front desk if I had dialed the phone number even though I am in the store. When I was checked in, the attitude shown to me was angry, bitter and first impressions really cast your stores image. Try and get those angry individuals to realize how much of a positive impact they can have on others if they smile. And they probs would feel so much better about themselves. This comment is more to help the individual than chastise them hoping as owner you will develop and coach employees.Now when I got my eyes examined and also selected the lenses those 2 individuals were kind and helpful. So youre 66pct there.Now when I come back in to collect my $225 purchase I will judge how much effort was made to engage the customer with the excitement you must want conveyed.2016Some of the staff are more than awesome - others are lazy and should be given warnings. I am sure the owners and management know who the weak ones are and should let them go. I walked in there to deal with a problem with a $400+ pair of glasses 1+ month after purchase and there were at least 6 staff in there chatting wth each other. I got stuck with a weak staff member who had all the reasons why they we not able to help me.The manager came out and helped me - fairly and with excellent business relationship skills. Her skill in my initial order and in assisting me was perfect.Get rid of the staff that dont want to be engaged with the customer. Reward the over achievers as staff they will bring loyalty from repeat business every year and your customers will be your cheerleaders.

OMG I wish I would have read these reviews a long time ago. I believe the prescription I was given at this location really messed my eyes is I went from nearsighted to everything being completely blurry up close within 2 years. I feel like I can’t even watch tv without my glasses anymore😞. The customer service has always been horrible and there’s a older lady that has worked there for some time that is always SUPER rude. One time i was next to be seen and she kept calling me YOLO smh I didn’t know who she was talking to and why she kept saying it but I noticed it was because my hat said yolo I thought. I that was so rude I wished she would have just called me by my name and said your next like a normal custom service rep should. I will never ever go back to this location and the variety of styles in frames suck there’s nothing to really choose from I need new glasses but im scared to even get them because of my eye doctor but if I must I will be going to a new location. OH and the doctor there so dry doesn’t communicate with you at all just writes you a script and out the door you go so emotionless ughh

************* I actually rate this place 0 Stars*****************Please run far away. I was seen in this office 10/20/17. My benefits were checked the day prior. I was told on the phone that my exam was covered in full thru my insurer. The following day I have my contact exam done, I explained that I simply needed my Rx so that I may purchase my contacts somewhere else more affordable. The staff member (who I later found out is actually the manager) persisted on comparing prices so that he could hook me up. I again said, im not looking to use my materials benefit here, and I actually just want a copy of my Rx from my exam and I research prices on my own. It was then that he, typed furiously and said that my total for the day would be 135$. I was so turned off by my experience that I just handed over my credit card, in hopes to quickly end this unpleasant ordeal. It wasnt until the following Monday that I realized that I shouldnt have paid being that I had coverage for the services rendered. I called back and asked to speak to management, He got on the phone and refused to give me his name. He asked me why didnt I question it at the time of service. I told him that this was predatory practices, and that this was no way to treat a customer. He placed me on hold, returned to the line and finally revealed that he was the manager and gave me his name. Very Long story short Ive reached out to the corporate office 3 times since this incident with no assistance. Only empty promises of Charley to return my calls. Im out of 135$, and Im a single parent in nursing school, working 2 jobs. I dont have money to just throw around. Ive always gone to Katzen Eye Group, It was only because of my insurance change that I even tried some place new. Ive told all of my Shady Grove coworkers to utilize their benefits at a more reputable establishment. A place where they value their customers and treat them as such. Its now November 15th and I have yet to have any resolve to this matter.Deeply disappointed !!!!!!!!!

Just called up there to see why I have not gotten a text for my glasses and they claim they texted me. Uhh no they did not my phone is with me at ALL times. Then the lady I spoke with hung up with me and did not say Bye. Rude just rude.. No more glasses here.. Horrible especially it being my first time with this place..

Just thrilled that MyEyeDr moved into my neighborhood! Recently changed jobs, lost eye care insurance coverage and not looking forward to the trip around the beltway to Owings Mills to my former practice. Just as I used my last set of disposable contacts, MyEyeDr opens! From Sophie, Scott and Clark at the front desk to Drs. Gonzales and Bedi, I was greeted with smiles, concerns for my immediate and long-term eye care needs and a genuine effort to make the experience a positive one. I ended up with two new pairs of glasses (designer, I might add), extended wear contacts and sunglasses---their prices cannot be beat! And, thanks to Sophie, my very fashion-forward nieces are thrilled with all the frame selections! May have to pop in more than once a year just to say hello! Thank you to the team at MyEyeDr for making everything clear for me!

I patronized this location since 2016. I never had an issue until this year. Since April 2021, I have been going through issues with MyEyeDr, Towson location. There were so many issues with billing, miscommunication, rude staff. It was a very long ordeal and I will be as brief as possible. I was asked by the optometrist to return for follow up visits. I wasn’t properly informed why I was asked to return. Had it been disclosed the service was optional, I would have declined. I asked various staff members about additional payments and I was advised repeatedly there would be none. At the conclusion of the second visit, it was demanded I pay a copay. It took months of fighting about this with this store and headquarters. At the time of my initial visit, the total costs of my glasses were lower than I have paid in recent years. I asked about it and was informed it was correct. It was also explained to me that I had better insurance benefits. There were no changes to my insurance policy. Several months later, I received a bill stating I owed an additional $303.50 after I paid $431.00 out of pocket at the time of my initial visit. I am very disgusted with the overall experience I had. I have no issues paying whatever I owe. It’s the principle of the ordeal. I would not wish my experiences on anyone.
