Some of them are more worried about masks than actual Customer Service, like “Hello, welcome to VisionWorks…”It was the most pathetic thing I ever witnessed!Other than that, the eye exam itself was professional and concise, but nothing special to make me want to come back in this lifetime (or the next).One word to sum up their customer service: Rubbish!

Miss Anali was the rudes manager. Vision work system cancelled my appointment. Spoke rude and had harsh tone. Hated the service! She cant even help to talk well! Bad experience! Dont every go there at all! Didnt even say sorry and told that she would not even say sorry. Find a new place for your eye checkup and glasses.

Most Rude manager i have ever met in all my life. Not even qualified to be a store manager based on how she talks to customers. I had Appointment. They gave calls to confirm my insurance. I got an Reminder text and also an email for paperwork. Ms Anali, the store manager said, i am not even in the system. When i showed her my email and also the text, she started making fun of me infront of other customers and didnt even apologize. Ms, Anali should be FIRED or go for training again to be a manager. She doesnt deserve it.

This location is incredibly rude and asks to take COVID into consideration while not giving patients that same grace. I was just about 10 minutes late for my appointment. When I walked in, two patients were already being spoken to at the desk. No one said a word to me when I walked in. No one acknowledged me the entire time I was walking around the store. One of them finished with their patient and takes the young lady that walked in after me. Even though I was there before her. Once the other employee finished working with their patient they called me over and once she got my information she tells me Im late for my appointment. At that point it had only been 15 minutes passed my appointment time. The individual behind me had an appointment time 20 minutes after my appointment but was seen because she apparently was in more then 15 minutes early and had walked out. When I walked in they were intensely working with the people at the desk. They say their grace period for being late is 5 minutes. Even if I was 5 instead of 10 minutes late, they would not have seen me at my appointment time because the people they were working with had already pushed them back anyway. When they called the person behind me up before taking me even though I was in line ahead of her I had still been in there BEFORE her scheduled appointment time. When I appoint all this out they say sir were sorry were severely understaffed because of COVID but please be considerate. My glasses broke and I had to rely on someone else for transportation. That is the only reason I was late. My lateness did not in fact impact when they would have seen me but still decided to not see me. When I asked for their corporate number they refused to give it to me. I asked multiple times. Very terrible experience. Would not come back here!

I cannot believe this, I came to this Visionworks for my 5:20 pm appointment this past weekend and most of the lights were out and the doors were locked. I knocked on the door and the lady said we closed early because of the weather. I told her I had an appointment then she came up with the system went down, which one is it. She said that because I asked her why they did not call or text me to let me know. Customer service dont look good. No call or text to cancel but you send me a text at 3:16 pm that afternoon confirming my appointment again that day. I prefer not to give it any stars. Not a happy customer. Thanks for nothing.

In a few words: Disappointing and Unreasonable.This is my first time at the Towson Mall location of Vision Works. A friend went and found their price is reasonable for glasses / contacts appointment and it wasn’t too far away from my house in Baltimore.My appointment was at 11 AM but I unfortunately got lost in the mall trying to find the store and I arrived a little bit late at 11:07.When I arrived, the staff told me I had “missed my appointment.“ The grace period is only five minutes, so because I arrived at 11:07… Two minutes later... the “doctor had already marked the appointment missed,” and there was, “nothing that could be done for me until tomorrow.“ I wasn’t told of this policy in advance!I asked the staff to make an exception (I would’ve been happy to apologize to the Doctor for the 2 minutes) but there is no willingness to be flexible.I think this is unreasonable. I won’t be recommending or returning, but that said, if you can get prevent any natural human circumstances like getting lost, perhaps you’ll get a cheap deal!

They offered the next available appointment if only my job was that understanding to allow me time off. Disappointed because my husband had a great experience earlier this week. He paid out of pocket meaning that money came out of my pocket as well, wish our money hadnt gone to this establishment.

My appointment time was 5:20 and i showed up at 5:26 (traffic coming from work, i also used PTO to be able to come to my appt). they told me because I was late, the doctor left. either the receptionists are lazy and didn’t want to have to deal with the last appointment of their business day or the doctor is an impatient and inconsiderate unprofessional. not sure which is worse - regardless don’t waste your time or money here. other reviews indicate this is a frequent occurrence at this location, management might want to take notes

I walked into Visionworks, without an appointment, to look for new glasses. The staff was busy, but Brianna assured me that she would assist me as soon as she finished up with a customer. She came right over and was very professional, kind, and helpful. Brianna was thorough in making all of the calculations with regard to what my insurance covered. She was also very patient (and honest!) in helping me to select frames. Thank you, Brianna!!

I ordered 2 pair of glasses and had an eye exam Dec 2019. The entire experience was efficient and amazing! Briana C. helped me select my frames and answered all of my questions. Customer service at this location is top notch. I received my glasses earlier than expected and I love them. Highly recommend this location for all of your vision needs!

I was greeted upon entering the store. The person who initially helped me explained all the paper work and guided me to sit somewhere. Once I turned in my paperwork, I was taken back to get the diagnostics done. When I returned I was greeted by Brianna. She let me know what my coverage was and helped me find different styles. She was jovial and welcomed after a long day. I was then sent back with the optometrist, Nicole. She was very thorough and explained all that she was doing. After being dilated. I was led back to the show room and Brianna continued to assist. We were able to make my purchase swiftly. Once I was called back to the optometrist, I was done and was able to leave. My time at the eye doctor was short and catered.

Never going back here again. I hate miscommunication and there was truly miscommunication on their part.Update: I was seen on June 23, given a turn around time of 2 weeks. No problem. Husband got a notification about his, I didnt. Long story short, there was a problem I wasnt notified of until I called them. Now Im being told that I have to wait until August 8th, when I should have had them by now. I will not go back here. Been stressful waiting on my glasses that I need.

My original Visionworks is the one located at Golden Ring and the ONLY reason I came here is because I was seriously overdue for an eye appointment. I scheduled an appt for Nov 3rd and had no issues, but I need new lenses. They had a limited amount of frames and didnt restock, so I was stuck with keeping my old frames. I gave my glasses to the rep and she informed me they had to be sent to an offsite lab, but never gave me a timeframe on when I should receive them. I called a couple days later and spoke with an employee who informed me it would take 2 weeks to receive my glasses. I tried to inform her that information was not given to me and she was insisting that it was relayed during my appt. I decided to speak with the Manager and she told me she would contact the lab herself and get back to me the next day. No call and no follow-up. I called back and she didnt even bother to speak to me, but relayed the message to her colleague that I would get my glasses on the 17th. I eventually got a call Saturday evening on November 14th about my glasses being ready. I was unable to get them and waited until Tuesday. I went in Tuesday and my glasses were loose. It took the lady three attempts to fix my frames and they still werent done correctly. They were extremely tight and resting on my cartilage. I had to go to the Visionworks in Golden Ring and my glasses were fixed perfectly the first time with no issues and they had a great selection of frames to choose from. Ive learned two valuable lessons: 1) Never go back to this location 2) Stick with the Golden Ring location because I tend to not have any issues.

Worst eye appointment experience ever! I went in for an eye appointment to renew my prescription as I have been doing for over 30 years without issue at other establishments. After my eye appointment I stopped to pick up my glasses. Could not see out of them! They had me redo the exam and again blurry vision.After three weeks of appointments and glasses picks ups I have given up and returned everything. They would not refund my prescription because a service was provided so it does not matter if they are competent, it only matters that you were there.After that mess I went to another organization and within one day I walked out with a good prescription and new pair of glasses. What a mess of an experience it was here. This is why I dont go to malls anymore.

Next day appointment availability. Everyone we worked with were great at building rapport and easy to have conversations with. Time wise Im used to taking 2 to 3 hours and it took way less then half that time. Greets everyone as the walk through the door. I felt the staff and general manager Anali were very personable and personalized our visit. My phone was very low and one of the staff offered me their charger and my daughter had a personal issue come up and Anali also offered her assistance both with no hesitation. She also helped me with selecting a style of frames because I was so indecisive. This was my second eye exam at this location and I felt like the entire visit was great! The doctor that performed the exam was friendly and very informative m She explained every process that she performed and why. The exam was also done in a timely manner.A young lady by the of Jaida came over to assist me in picking out frames. She was very professional and patient. She was able to explain to me what my insurance covered and what would be an out of pocket cost. She was very knowledgeable about what discounts were currently available and how it would benefit me to take advantage of the discounts. My only disappointment was not being able to receive my colored contacts the same day which was no fault of any of the employees. Overall I would recommend Vision Works to my family, friends and coworkers.

Awesome staff! Rica was so helpful with answering the many questions I had about my glasses/insurance etc. she didn’t mind calling me back and leaving answers on my vm while I was at work! :) Dr. Patel actually stepped up to help her staff when they were short in the front of the office and was an instrumental part in helping me pick out my glasses and finding answers to the retail questions she didn’t know how to answer. :) Lastly, when I came to pick up my glasses Ms. Bianca was so nice and helpful with adjusting my frames and it was a very quick process to pick up I didn’t have to wait at all. I always have a good experience at this location. Don’t think because Visionworks is in a mall that their service is second rate. They do get busy w/ foot traffic in and out. But they always do their best to greet each potential patient and assist one’s checking in for appointments. I am a loyal patient and will continue to return.Dr. Patel was fantastic. She’s so personable and easy going. You can tell she’s passionate about her craft and her patients. I was most recently helped by Jaida. She was very friendly and patient w/ me. (I had my eyes dilated and was moving a little slow)However my last few visits to pick out my frames and pick them up, Eddie assisted me. Eddie is amazing! He is always professional but every time I’m there, I forget we are actually handling business. He went above and beyond to accommodate for my 6 year old son who was getting antsy waiting. Those two had a ball watching Spider-Man videos while I filled out paperwork. And my husband and Eddie pass the time while I pick frames by laughing at my questionable choices. I have rescheduled appointments JUST to be seen by Eddie. He is great w/ customers and very efficient. He makes sure I am getting what I want while staying in my budget.

I went here Thursday, Jan 19 to get new glasses after my old pair was eaten by the dogs, and they were very helpful. I ordered them around 4pm and got them the next day at 5pm. Extremely fast. Some of the other reviews mention a Mrs. Lee, and if I remember correctly, Mrs. Lee was helping us out and was extremely friendly. Will be going back next time our dogs eat my glasses!

I may upgrade this 4 to a 5 once Ive worn my new glasses for a while and have a more thorough opinion of them, but in the mean time, I will absolutely say this:The eye exam I got from Dr. Purvi Patel was exceptional. I have not had a proper prescription in years because I have been to 4 previous eye doctors in this state and they have ranged from inadequate to terrible. I would have never expected to find a doctor as good as her in a mall chain. My wife and I have both seen her and both found her level of expertise and patient care to be really wonderful.

In a few words, I LOVED it at VisionWorks. I went there with my family to get our eyes checked, and we wanted to make it go by as quickly as possible. We got the paperwork we needed to sign, and we didnt have to wait for much longer to be attended to. All of the staff there that we interacted with where very nice. Dr. Hahm was very nice and very soothing (I dont know the word Im trying to think of, my mind is drawing a blank right now). She helped us out really quickly and was very nice about it. After getting our eyes checked, we were looking at frames for our new glasses. Once we had picked out the ones we liked, we went over to the staff member who said she would help us. Her name was Bianca, and she was the nicest, funniest, and just overall, the best staff member I have ever had the pleasure of talking to. She was so helpful, and so understanding! She helped us with the prices and made sure we were happy with them. If I could, I would give VisionWorks more than 5 stars, just because of Bianca! She was so nice and very, very funny, we were laughing so much that we didnt realize that 2 hours had passed! Overall, my visit to VisionWorks was great, I loved it! If you ever go here, make sure you talk to Bianca, she is the nicest person you will ever meet (she said she might be leaving soon, so you might not get the pleasure of meeting her). Bianca, thank you for making our visit to VisionWorks very useful, as well as entertaining (I think that you are now my favorite staff member I have ever met!).

We were seen very quickly and the eye doctor did a fabulous job. She was quick and attentive. Id give her 5 stars. The receptionist on the other hand, was rude and disrespectful. She interrupted me while I was questioning prices because I was confused as to how and why the price what it was. She was aggressive for no reason and for someone who is in sales, youd think she be more willing to explain things in a nicer way. I was very disappointed in our visit and this will be our last visit to the Towson mall Visionworks. Ms.Lee needs an attitude adjustment and a class on customer service. My teenage daughter was with me and she was even shocked by Ms. Lees behavior.

**Addendum 1/30/20** Visionworks Towson did an amazing job responding to my complaint. It was quick and expedient. Many times when you give criticism, it falls on deaf ears. I am grateful that they took the time out to make this right and for this I will continue to go there for my eyecare needs. Thank you Visionworks Towson, this shows me that you stand behind your product and services and really care about the customers. We all have bad days, but when you turn it all into a positive, it makes a world of difference..Before I start this, I will say that Brianna and the tall young man with the glasses (whose name I don’t remember) are amazing associates and the only redeeming quality of my visit. My appointment was 1/10 at 6:15pm. I got there early and it was packed, but the wait didn’t bother me. I filled out the paperwork and opted for the Optomap screening. Once I got that done, I was called to the back to have my eye screening. Now I could tell it was coming time for the young lady to go home. My exam felt extremely rushed. I am used to going over my eye health and the optometrist recommending contacts based on what they saw. I have an astigmatism in both eyes and weak optic nerves, so I’m usually changing brands and types with every exam. That did not happen. She asked me what contacts I used, wrote the prescription let me know there was no trial pair and to go out and place my order. When I went out to pay, the young man, who apologized for the wait due to how busy it was rang me up. I opted not to get my contacts but I paid for the exam. I asked about the Optomap since it was not gone over during my exam and he looked at my paperwork, apologized again and told me he would have them email me my results, most likely on the upcoming Monday. I told him thank you for being attentive and that he was awesome and left. Monday came, no results emailed. I called on Tuesday and the associate answered the phone. I explained the situation and she told me they didn’t send results to patients, just to other eye care providers (it was not Brianna, this associate did not give her name when she answered) I told her no one went over the results and I would like to have them emailed. She told me that particular doctor was not in and she would have her do it when she came in. I waited until Friday to see if I would get the results. Still nothing so I called back. The same associate answered and when I said I hadn’t received the results she was a bit short on the phone and told me I’d have to wait. So I gave it until today. When I called this morning Brianna answered and I explained what was going on. She remembered me because she had set up my appointment which I thought was awesome. She put me on hold and went to find out about my results. When she came back she said the doctor had sent them (she hadn’t because I checked both my spam and regular inbox) but she would have her send them again. I received my pictures later, but no explanation or anything. For all of that I would have opted not to have it done and save my $40. I have never felt rushed and as disregarded by an optometrist like that in a long time. I used to come to the Towson location a lot because the service was always great. But this time was underwhelming. Like I said the two associates were awesome, but that eye exam was horrendous. I understand when someone is ready to go home, but when you are providing a service dealing with someone’s health, you make that a priority, period. To Brianna and that young man, thank you for showing care and giving service with a smile. You were the only saving grace to my experience.

There is a strong chemical smell in here from when they make the lenses. Employees don’t notice it but it triggered my asthma. I was told by the manger James to “just deal with it.” I did. I called their corporate offices about the lack of ventilation and took my money somewhere else.

I had a great experience at VisionWorks in Towson. The staff there is amazing. From the start of the exam to the end I felt like I was well taken care of. I saw Dr. Levy and she took very good care of my vision needs. She listened to my concerns and addressed any concern I had. The experience carried over with Rica, the associate who helped me. She haven me great suggestions on what frames looked good and also let me know how lenses would be better for my vision needs. I highly recommend this location!

This is the second time in a row that i have gotten glasses here that were not made correctly. Had to wait 3 weeks for the lenses to come in and then another 3 weeks for them to be remade! If they would take the time to measure correctly the 1st time, it would avoid unnecessary remaking of lenses that is both time consuming and costly, not to mention aggravating to the customer. Apparently this happens a lot, not only at Visionworks but elsewhere. Take the time and do it right the 1st time. Is that too much to ask?
