Great experience! After visiting lake Tahoe, and failing to bring proper shoes for a spontaneous trail hike, I found this place and boy am I glad I did. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I got exactly what I needed for the terrain, and a bonus pair of sandals for 50% off!

Excellent customer service. One of my skins broke while they were cutting them to my skis (which was the fault of the skins, not the ski tech), and they gave me a loaner pair to use for an entire month while they waited for a new tail clip for my skins. And then they repaired my broken skin for free. They definitely didnt have to do that, as it was clearly not their fault, but they did, and now Im stoked to continue spending money there.

Awesome experience here. I walked in without an appointment on a weekday evening. Yohannis was attentive and informative in helping me try on and learn about ski touring boots. He spent over an hour working with me, explaining different boots and their benefits. He helped me feel comfortable in the boot by adding quick little modifications (inserts & toe pad). I did not feel pressured to purchase - in fact I walked out of the store without buying, but did come back 2 days later to purchase. Yohannis remembered me, set me up with my boots, and reminded me of their return policy in case the boots didnt work out during my weekend ski tour.I love the boots and am keeping them and will be back for service & shopping in the future! I drive over from Kings Beach to go there because it has the most complete inventory in the area.

TMS saved my feet! When I hiked the TRT I was doing big miles which did a number on my feet. TMS had the best socks and a replacement filter for my water pump. May be headed back this year and will definitely stop by.

This place is like your local bike shop, and if youre a cyclist, youll know what I mean. There is no substitute for a shop that has real local people that can help you understand local conditions and have the right gear to get you there safely and back. Very accomodating

We were renting full backcountry skii equipment (skis, poles, skins, beacon, shovel, probe) for $70/day.All was ready on time and worked without problems on our lesson and a trip to Tamarack peak.Return was quick, shop responsive on emails.Only bad thing my shoes really made my foot arch really aching (couldnt walk for 1/2min). So just make sure it fits
