The service is top notch. The girls are friendly and knowledgeable. My coffee was hot and delicious. My scone was wonderful as well. I will be returning next time I am in Truckee.

What a cute cafe! The prices are good and lots of outdoor seating. Really cute branding too. I got a chai tea latte and greatly enjoyed it.Updated review 3 months later. Found out that the beans were from Temple Coffee, which is from Sacramento area. Though the prices at this cafe is amazing and you really cant beat $1 coffee and $1.50 day old pastries, I think the americano was okay and the latte tasted kind of diluted. I think it was the brewing method or something, it tasted a bit underextracted. Also no cute latte art.

This was in the bathroom. Highly inappropriate and misrepresenting the beauty Colombia has to offer the world. If youre advertising their delicious coffee, this is not the way to do it.Friendly recommendation to remove or change this.

We spent a week in Truckee and came here for coffee most days. They have great coffees and various food options. My favorite is hot latte with oat milk and lemon poppyseed muffin. There are a bunch of tables outside. Can’t wait to come back.

Microwaved eggs and dry toast I really not what I had in mind. I was hoping for my eggs to be cooked not nuked and a little butter on my toast would be nice that was not an option

Stopped by heading back toward the Bay Area. Got their cold brew and loved it! It’s pretty strong and has a great flavor. Would absolutely stop by again. A nice outdoor seating area nearby (right on the side) with some grass in case you’re traveling with a pet.

$4 16 oz. Lattes that seem more like 8 oz. cups with foam taking half the cup. Good breakfast options, but over 30 min. wait.

Quite possibly the best chocolate croissant Ive ever had. My nephew raved about it, and I didnt believe him. He was right. Ive been getting breakfast at Wild Cherries for 20 years, and now I have a new item to order. Yummm!

After many years visiting Truckee, finally tried Wild Cherries. We now have another great coffee shop/cafe to add to the rotation. Wild Cherries menu features a great selection of coffees, all brewed by experienced baristas. Their menu has several hot and cold options, with a key differentiator being their in-house bakery. The breakfast bagel (everything bagel, ham, cheese, and egg) was decent. Bagel was great, ham and eggs just ok. I think next time Id try sausage. Many other options for breakfast and lunch to try as well. Were excited to go back!

Didnt come find me at my table, when I finally went to find my egg, pesto, and cream cheese sandwich it was missing the egg. Took a while to remake and it was wrong again. No cream cheese this time. Unfortunately no time to wait for a third attempt.

Tried the Chocolate Espresso Shake (yes I know it is winter but I prefer cold coffee drinks). It was strong and excellent!

Disappointing espresso drink. Second time that my light white mocha had virtually no white mocha. Espresso may be over-extracted and milk is too hot.

Best coffee in Truckee. Bagel Sandwiches are a must try.

Open face Lox bagel is the bomb! The chai is good and not too sweet. The pastries are a little dry on the outside but super moist in the middle. I had the coconut mocha super rich but really good.

We had a quick breakfast at Wild Cherries on our way home from Tahoe City. They have very good open face bagel sandwiches with cream cheese and your choice of various topping. The bagel is soft and chewy. The coffe house has outdoor sitting perfect for a sunny fall morning. No dining in due to COVID. Mask and social distance are required.

Super friendly staff, excellent service, and the pumpkin pies are to die for! I absolutely love Wild Cherries and always feel welcome when I visit.

Waited 30+ minutes for two breakfast sandwiches. I’m used to Truckee time but this was too much.

Wild cherry is a great coffee house that does a lot more then just coffee. I got the Italian cream soda. When I say it was good, Im not joking. It was so good 🙌 and it was nice and cold. Although it was good it sadend that is was filled up so much with ice. It was kinda a rip off because it had so much ice. Next time I would just ask for no ice.

Dont waste your time here. Took over 30 minutes with just 3 people ahead. Lady at front took every call over phone and had people just wait. By the time I left, there were over 25 people waiting. Girl making the drinks had a mask that was covering her throat. Definitely not coming back here....a dozen people just left waiting in line

Great Customer service despite what “Karen” may say. I was there with my daughter for an afternoon smoothie treat. It was busy, it always is. Karen ordered a hot coffee drink and they gave her a cold one. The mistake was remedied and they gave her the difference, 50¢ or so. She wanted to make sure they didn’t charge her for a mer hot when she got mer cold etc. it was busy so they took a bit to get her the drink. Then with mask on as loud as she could said this was the worst customer service and then called the young woman a B! So I yelled at her and told her that the she was wrong they had great customer service always - and that she was just mean. That happened 10-8-2020 just in case “Karen” tried to lie!

The line inside the store says it all! This place was one of the best coffee place Ive ever been to. In remote places like the forest I dont expect good coffee so I was just looking for it to be a caffeine boost before my drive back home, but it ended up being delicious! They have so many different types of baked goods that they make at the Bakery, too! I like the addition of the Lake Tahoe shaped and colored cookies.

If youre looking for a coffee shop in truckee thats not horribly overpriced, this is your spot.However, if youre coming here to work on your laptop, you should know that the wifi is painfully slow and drops out about every 15 minutes for no apparent reason. My only complaint about an otherwise sterling coffe spot.

Go-to for good coffee when Im in the areas. Salads are awesome. Sandwiches are good. Lines can be long, but theyre fairly quick to get your order turned around.

Ordered a French dip, the Au Jus was like water, it wasnt even hot. Sandwich was dry, and the chips were broken crumbs.

This is the coolest coffee house to start some of the best days I can remember having in my life. Breakfast: I would get the Turkey Trio to start your day. Stopping by for lunch after a morning adventure: I vote for the chicken salad on a bed of greens... or any of the veggie options!

Turkey pesto panini is awesome. Also their pour your own is the cheapest, best coffee in town. Just be aware that the kitchen closes at 4 😥

I gave it three stars because the food was really good. They just need better seating because its small and tends to get crowded. The tables are right on top of each other and the line to order obstructs the entrance. Also, if youre used to Starbucks, Petes or coffee houses like that then this is NOT the coffee place for you as its limited and their version of your caramel machiatto will disappoint. If you want very basic coffee then youll be fine!

They have a cookie at this place called something like everything except the kitchen sink. Every time Im in the area I make it a point to go and get one of these spectacular cookies. They are great cookies. Also they make a mean sandwich here. The wait is never long and the staff are always on point. I would recommend stopping in here for a treat sometime.

A few notes: we could not get a cafe latte in a glass, as is traditional, as the dishwasher was broken (my wife almost took them up on their offer to wash the cups but her eczema was acting up)The latte we got, in a paper cup with a lid (for here, please) was not a latte at all but almost a dry cappuccino with way too much foamWe bought some coffee, but after getting back home and making an espresso, am not super impressed.This may be way too critical over how the latte was made and what it was served in but when I’m charged $4 for essentially water and milk, it had better be right.One cup going to landfill not so much an issue but hundreds of thousands of coffee cups and “Houston, we have a problem!”

Great coffee house/cafe. Usually busy. Excellent coffee. Good baked goods, deli cold case wraps, etc. Good veggie chili. Separate bakery a few doors down with bread, pies. Worth a stop. Unusually busy around noon when school is in session because of their proximity to the high school.

Loved the lady at the counter (short hair, handkerchief scarf around neck) as she helped indecisive Sunday morning me build a Vegan breakfast sandwich (ate it before I took photo) and smiled the entire time! THANK YOU!Our son got a ham and egg bagel, hubby a Pesto egg bagel and mine was a yummy avocado tomato sprouts hummus bagel. All were so good.Cold brew coffee for me, tea for hubby and son also had a blueberry smoothie with granola blended in. He says they make the best and hes a local.I see why this place had a line out the door. Awesome!

Weve been coming to Truckee, specifically to go to Wild Cherries, from Reno for 10+ years. Theres always a line, and it isnt a deterrent because it moves so swiftly. Once you try anything there youll understand the line, and be happy for the well oiled machine that is their staff. The food, all if it, is exceptional. And if I didnt have so much faith in the staff, I wouldnt tell you all to go to one of my FAVE spots!

Lets set expectations here: In the end, this just a coffee house. Bagel sandwiches, smoothies, coffee drinks, that sorta thing.But, that said, everything about this place is just a little nicer than what you might expect from a typical coffee house. The bagel sandwiches are just a little bit more delicious. The coffee drinks are just a little bit tastier (and they get bonus points for knowing what a macchiato really is). The service is just a little bit friendlier.Im not entirely sure what the secret ingredient is here. Maybe its love. Or maybe its the thinner air. Either way, this is a good place for a quick bite to eat in the morning, assuming the line isnt too long.

Yes, loved Wild Cherries. Amazingly liw prices for example $2 giant cookies, also brownies, $2.75 other bakery, hearty apple pie. Delicious bagel sandwiches$5.50, I had the special for $7 that included a pile of bacon. Excellent coffee and other drinks. Smoothies.

Real neat place to pop in for coffee and the wonderful breakfast sandwiches. Todays was a crusant with sausage, egg tomato, spinach and pepper jack cheese.

Wonderful atmosphere here and great service. We have gotten coffee, tea and food here. All have been super tasty. Also have brought back coffee beans to take home. So yummy!

You will wait a little longer than Starbucks but the latte is definitely worth the wait. Best Latte Ive had in years. No bitterness at all, no acidity. Just pure perfection. Thank you Wild Cherries!

My favorite go to place when Im in town. You cant go to the Truckee/Tahoe area without stopping by Wild Cherries. My favorites are their vanilla chai teas and gluten free muffins. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat or drink. Their smoothie selection is vast and everything Ive tried so far has been delicious. Their sandwiches are great too. I highly recommend this place when youre in the area.

They keep the doors open, so not only is it noisy and crowded, but hot too. They dont have fly fans so the flies are a little pesky. My soda was warm and it was difficult getting a glass of ice from anyone. The first bite of my sandwich was delicious though I expected more heat from my spicey chicken club. By the time I got a glass of ice for my warm soda, the sandwich was dry and tasteless. They have a few friendly workers, but I dont think I could recommend this place.

Well my family and I have been coming here for about 5 years now with great food and service but the last few times coming here have been a huge disappointment in service, food availability and places to sit! We had to take our food to the car to eat because 99% of the seats were taken up by people doing personal business and or playing on their laptops... is this a community center or a restaurant??

Wild Cherries feels like home. Everything is baked fresh before they open shop, its worth the stop in the morning before work if only for a still-warm-from-the-oven Cocolate Cappuccino Muffin. Black coffee on the bar is never stale or burnt. Dont be deterred if you see a line to the door, all the staff are super efficient and so friendly, you wont be standing in that line for long and it will have been more than worth it. And theyre open all day. Look no further!

A very relaxed vibe in this mountain inspired coffee shop. Plenty of seating options for all types of groups or singles coming to grab a cup of their favorite java. If you order a drip coffee, its self serve and there are multiple roasts to choose from. Protip- end with the espresso roast for that perfect buzz.

Necessary stop on the way to Squaw or Alpine. The iced blueberry scones are the best. Has good vegetarian breakfast and lunch options. Great variety of coffee flavors, and they know how to make a nice steamed Cafe Au Lait. Has multiple kinds of non-dairy milk!
