Awful Starbucks. I am a regular Starbucks customer … this is the worst Starbucks I have ever gone to … I was lectured by the manager who insisted on telling me the “rules and policies” about almond milk .. even though I told her I know them and just wanted my coffee. She insisted on lecturing me even though I told her I had cut fresh flowers in the car and wanted to get back to my car … I was the only customer in the store but still had to wait while she lectured me ….. I would have walked out but the other Starbucks in Truckee … near the Safeway was closed to offer more support to this store..I am a huge Starbucks fan …. But have NO idea what possessed them yo close the hugely popular store in the Safeway parking lot in favor of this one ….Starbucks … a big disfavor yo your customers by doing that ….Please just reopen the store in the Safeway shopping center …. I would still like to get my morning coffee …. But I will not return to this store

Nice place on your way to Tahoe. Take care as this location is closed and drive thru is allowed. You cannot go in and order.

What a lovely location.Employees were very nice and made our brews perfectly. We had breakfast snacks and they were yummy. Fast service.Good tunes. Highly recommend.

The service at this location needs help. The girl who took our order was very nice and patient. The barista who made the drinks did not read detail on the order. When asked to correct it she made it incorrectly again. I, reluctantly accepted my drink and received attitude from her. Ive noticed a huge downturn in customer service with Starbucks recently. I really hope they can get back to the famed star service as before..

Always taste water down compared to Dutch Brothers and it takes forever

They still have Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate which it’s been sold out everywhere (at most SB I visited) after Holiday Seasons end. This is the most spacious SB I’ve ever seen! The staff are very friendly too!

BAD SERVICE ~~We ordered and had to wait over 45 minutes to get our drinks. There were too many unclaimed drinks on the counter. In those 45 minutes that I was waiting for my three drinks, I could see how annoying customers preferred to leave without their drinks after having paid. I work in a store where they have an espresso coffee and I know exactly how this works. my opinion is that they lack to organize themselves. It is not fair for customers to leave without their drinks and without a refund. In the end the employees were throwing drinks into the sink for lack of organization. They actually have very bad service .. Organization is very important.Alicia from Idaho

Ummm disclaimer: I spilled my coffee here and they gave me a new one so I’m a little biased. This is the nicest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. There is a drive-through and a fireplace. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel which is the only flavor a bagel you should ever eat and got not one but two cream cheeses which are basically protein. Now let’s talk about the Decour. I don’t know what I meant. Decor was just the right amount of wood had some high tables that handled spilled coffee well. Staff was very friendly and able to clean the coffee off of the wood tables but I had to clean it off myself myself. There were also couches next to the fire but I didn’t sit in them. Now let’s talk about the bathroom. The bathroom was not very wet and had very clear instructions on how to wash her hands. Bathroom worked just fine. No let’s talk about the milking this of the coffee I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks in my time and I’ve had a lot of gnocchi coffees and the coffee served here what’s up quickly just the right amount of milk know too much milk not too less milk just the right amount of milk. Five stars.

This is my favorite Starbucks because it use to be a burger king and when I was a kid our school bus would actually take us here for some unexplained reason, this sealing a love for the King and his burgers. Fast forward a decade and there I was as a young adult and it had become a cheesesteak shop, the sandwiches were delicious but the big secret was the amazing Mexican food the nice older gals in back would wip up if you knew how to ask, yet it went out of business, dark times indeed.Skip forward another few years and this guy Bill who while super nice was clearly on some sorta drugs you would buy at a party in sun valley stole the menu from Ts Rotisserie in a incline village. This was hilarious to me because the recipies were actually from the family of a man named Sergio whom Bill was also able to steal from Ts. I dont know this T person but they were probably upset at this whole situation. Anyway they gave away free food their first day open and I ate 8 burritos. Swear to God, EIGHT over a 10 hour period. We had been lifted from the dark times of no great food next to the mousehole. After what seems like 5 years those party drugs seemed to have done their job and the thousand yard stares from the Bills Rotisserie senior employees had gotten too consistent. Their talented chef left and opened Golden Rotisserie a few blocks away and sealed this weird buildings fate to be empty again. It was empty and grossly neglected looking for a while. Picture homeless meth heads and bears staying away. Imagine how that feels to see a childhood friend who became a lifelong presence existing like this.Finally, Starbucks, came to the rescue and remodeled this place into whats now a rather nice location. I was able to convince a girl to move here from another state for this location and my dog so you will have a hard time convincing me its not the best, highest rated Starbucks in the world, actually. Halle is my favorite barista, she makes the chocolate milk with half coconut milk and it will blow your mind.A lot of cops hang out here, I dont have a problem with this but you might, man.Fyi, I dont even like Starbucks or coffee in general so I would imagine if you got this far into my review and are into coffee you will be well served by visiting.

The line was not moving at all. I dont know if there was something technically wrong with their equipment but my experience today was not pleasant. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt I cant base my one time experience here with how this coffee shop is ran. Im sure this place runs great when theres no hiccups.

Don’t come on a weekend for a order ahead or walk-in. Drive thru seems to continue moving but inside you’ll wait 25 minutes for a coffee and breakfast wrap. Not worth it

Slowest service is ever. Starbucks severely understaffed this huge, high volume store located at a major junction for Tahoe and between CA & NV.No sense of urgency in staff. Wait was over 30 minutes total after ordering ahead on mobile app, and then waiting in store with many others.Drive thru and store were both long waits.Drink was not even well made compared to other Starbucks. Orders were wrong for other people.

Ordered ahead and ended up waiting a LONG time in drive-through line. If it doesn’t allow people pickup in store directly, this store should definitely stop doing mobile order like other nearby Starbucks

To pick up your mobile order, the Truckee location makes you wait in the ordering line. My drink was lukewarm when I finally got to the register and was able to pick it up. This is the only location out of at least 6 that Ive visited since mid-March that does not have a separate pick up line for mobile orders. Management needs to redesign the path for this sizable location to improve customer satisfaction. It could very easily be done and still achieve social distancing.

The pick up for online ordering needs some help. Overflowing trash cans.

The interior strikes the perfect balance of Truckee log cabins and the urban coffee shop. The indoor/outdoor fire place is a huge hit. I’ll be forever disappointed whenever I walk into any other Starbucks.

LONG WAIT!!!! Went in around 10am on a Sunday morning, took nearly 25 mins for my order to come out.

Normally this place is ok...definitely better customer service than the other one by Safeway. But they need to update their hours or at least get it figured out with the app! I mobile ordered and paid thru the app only for my husband to get there and find out they are closed! It’s 8am on a Saturday morning ??? Seriously???? Now what do I do about already paying?!? Btw I just gave birth and really wanted my tea ☹️

Second time Ive driven to the Starbucks only to find them closed during normal operating hours. Apparently they are too lazy to update their Google profile with the correct hours.

Placed a mobile order 30 min before reaching, still had to wait 40 minutes at the store for a coffee and a sandwich. Asked multiple times about the order before it was filled.

Slowest Starbucks ever. Have been here multiple times and there is always an issue. Never have the food items available. It can be 8am and “sorry we ran out already.”

It was bad enough that Bills closed down; those burritos were amazing. Opening yet another Starbucks when theres already one in easy walking distance - not including the one in Safeway - just adds insult to injury. Truckee doesnt need two Starbucks within half a mile of each other.Starbucks coffee is overpriced trash anyway; Wild Cherries and Dark Horse are way better. Go there instead of giving your money to this monstrosity.

Usually impressed, not happy with the associate who wears mittens in the drive-through or the 9 minutes I sat in the drive through to have a scolding hot coffee and a semi cold breakfast sand which. Maybe I’m spoiled but I expect to get through in 5min!

I had this issue with waiting 30 minutes for my drink. I went up and asked about fifteen minutes into waiting, and she asked the girl and she nodded yes so I thought that meant it was coming up. Idk some miscommunication happened I guess and it resulted in me waiting a while. but they refunded me which was really sweet and most places dont really care. The manager noticed and I thought it was kind that they cared and gave me the drink for free so Im happy. :}

Great place. Comfortable and very pleasing ambient to spend some time.

Usually a pretty reliable stop for me to and from work, but this past month I either get burnt-tasting coffee, cold hot drinks or just an all around incorrect order. I usually go through the drive-thru so its not like Im going to turn around and request a new drink once Im miles down the road.

I had a couple bad experiences here, but today was different. It is 1:15pm, went through the drive thru, and was greeted by a very friendly, bubbly, competent female. She also offered both of my dogs pupachinos (whipped cream in a cup) which was very sweet. Even though there is whipped cream throughout my car, it was worth it. Thank you to the drive thru worker today. Made my day a bit brighter.

Nice store layout...but they are still pushing that ratty Pike Place coffee...other than phu phu drinks its the only coffee they serve after 11am! Where are my choices?? They offer pour overs but most employees suk at it...water not hot enough and/ or too much grounds. Please SB make bold coffee all day long and you will see more people leaving five star reviews.

My drink tasted ok but they didnt fill it up all the way. I had the top inch and a half of my cup empty! I ordered a venti but ended up with a grandes worth of drink. It was a rip off.
