No real bagels here.This is not intended as a negative review, while I feel it is important to state the facts. The flavors are good if that’s what you’re here for. Outdoor seating (not heated) no indoor ‘table’ seating, comfy chairs living room style.The bagel/lox sammie is more like an ultra-thin sandwich roll with a thin layer of cream cheese, which is appropriate considering the thin bread. Also, typically an open face sandwich is served with the same thing on both sides of the open slices of bread, hence the purpose of ‘open’ face. Otherwise, we would put it back together and eat it like a regular sandwich.This sandwich is served with three tiny little pieces of salmon and a few pieces of onion, on one side, and tomato (swapped for avocado) with capers on the other half. Who wants to eat tomato with capers and cream cheese on the bagel anyway? And I don’t understand why there is an avocado in this mix.I think somebody needs to go back to the drawing board on this sandwich, or give it a different name, it’s not the definition of a lox and bagel sandwich.

Weve tried every coffee shop in town, and this is our favorite! The people are wonderful and the service is so kind. The patio has the best vibes with happy, considerate people who make you smile. Feels like a home away from home every time! Grateful for Zuri and the people that work there.

Dangerously good coffee.. I asked the locals where to go for good coffee and they all said, ZURI’s. I also got a bagel with cream cheese and some cookies. Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff, highly recommended!

Nice little coffee shop, lots of options. They serve lunch and breakfast till 3PM. They have a selection of pastries, cookies and sweets. decorations, wall art and vibe. Atmosphere is a bit loud and a bit crowded but overall a nice stop for drinks or a bite to eat.

Zuri Coffee Co has the best heart in town. Werner always showers me with warmth whenever I see him. They are constantly working to add new items to their menu and keep their bakery updated and fresh. I appreciate that they take my special dietary needs into consideration when they use eggs as a scaffold instead of bread.

Waited 35 minutes longer for order!After waist 35 minutes was told they were out of 3 items (half my order) & I would get refunded. Only refunded me for 2 items, so I had to ask to get my complete refund. Would not recommend this place.

I had to sit and wait way too long for my food because they never made it for me and by the time I asked they took really far too long to make it and it was very sloppy and they could of at least made it nicer for me since I had to wait so long. Sorry guys I hate leaving bad reviews but one person forgotten when there arent a lot of people in the establishment is one person forgotten too many.

Better options in town such as dark horse. Everything Ive gotten reminds me of kirkland brand (coffee, pastries,etc). I could put that all behind me but unfortunately you can tell the owner doesnt care one bit about the area he serves, just take a look in the parking lot in which he designated his personal lot. 2-3 of his cars, his outdoor seating all taking up a huge amount of parking space in the already extremely limited lot every single day. Shameful.

I love the coffee here! It tastes good and I dont need hundreds of calories in sweetener or cream to enjoy it. I love the coffee, the pastries are out of this world, and the employees are always so friendly. Truly my favorite coffee shop ever.

I love this coffee shop, but as a local resident for 25+ years I wish they were better about supporting the wearing of masks. Several times I have gone in and 2 or more guests were not wearing masks. I asked the staff and they said they couldnt do anything. We need community unity. Ill get coffee down the street

Headed out of town and stopped by this great little organic coffee spot in Truckee. They make their own pastries as well. Breakfast croissants are delicious or you can build your own sandwich from their menu. You can order online if you are in a hurry or just for convenience. It will be waiting for you when you get there. Super friendly staff. Great energy and a great way to start any day of the week in the mountains!! 😎

That coffee shop is the real deal

The location is great, perfect for grabbing a quick coffee and bite before heading to the slopes, or other activities. Pastry selection is amazing. I had one of their salami bagel sandwiches and it did not disappoint, it was fantastic. We loved their chocolate dipped chocolate croissant! The coffee was delicious as well. I highly recommend Zuri, and will most definitely be coming again!

Amazing coffee shop close to Tahoe. We have stopped by a few times to grab coffee and a light breakfast before or after hitting up Lake Tahoe on vacation and doesn’t disappoint. Can get a little busy, but the overall culture has people switching tables often. Great breakfast options!

The turkey / avocado ciabatta was delicious, as was the Truckee blueberry claw, Nutella twist and coffee cake. The coffee (even the decaf) was really, really good. Bought a bag of beans to take back with me home as I do every time I come across a good cuppa. It was on a Sunday afternoon on a long weekend and there was surprisingly no queue, but all seats were taken so nowhere to sit.They’ve also got nice looking breakfast and lunch sandwiches.Keep up the good work! Might be time to open up a second bigger venue?

Great coffee shop for a quick breakfast! I had the everything bagel with egg, bacon and avocado. Also ordered a hot vanilla chai. So delicious!! The place was packed but not too long of a wait and we were able to find a small table quickly after we ordered.

Very impressed with this place! I placed an order on line and it wasnt quite ready when I got there to pick it up. I waited about 5 minutes and they gave me a gift card to apologize for the wait. That is some above and beyond customer service! This will definitely be my new go-to spot!

I have been coming here for over a year now, and as a local, this is my go to spot. Great coffee, (Best nitro cold brew in Northern California) welcoming staff, and great food. Like any small shop that is experiencing growth, when they get slammed on ski days or holiday weekends, the wait does go up, but the staff is strong and consistent.Great owners who are always looking at ways to improve the customer experience, and engage with people.It’s a win.

I came to Zurich for a quick breakfast. I had a very nice chocolate croissant. The place has just opened. The owner Warner is very friendly as are all the staff. Great decor and comfortable seating to enjoy a pastry and your coffee. Next door the Golden Rotisserie and the natural food store are excellent also.

The best coffee I had for a long time. It would be hard for the italians to beat it... the homemade pastries and food are delicious, especially the vegan Apfelstrudel (even if youre not vegan).Together with the welcoming atmosphere and the owners hospitality it makes you feel home :)

Zuri will coddle you in coffee goodness! If you are just visiting the mountains and missing your favorite home coffee place, I can recommend Zuri without reservation, whether you want espresso drinks or cutting-edge drip coffee, they are really a cut above.

Me and my colleagues came in for a cup of coffee and a warm seat to meet with a prospective vendor. The coffee was perfect, the service was off the chart. While we were there taking up their space... I got to watch the artist paint his mural - how cool is that - and the host gratuitously shared some of their excellent pastries with us (spinach pastry was my favorite) . Zuri Coffee is my go-to place from now on for coffee or a quick treat. Thanks!

The chai latte is hit and miss. The owners and most the staff are super sweet. All the pastries are delicious, favorite is the Strawberry Truckee Crown. I’m not one to buy avocado toast, but, Zuris is worth it!! Topped with arugula, mozzarella, and tomatoes- yum!! The seating is limited and it’s gets crowded easily. Fun atmosphere, good music, amazing mural on the wall.

I came to this place based on the yelp recommendation. The girl behind the counter had the worst attitude Ive encountered in quite a while. I told her I had never been there and wanted advice. She told me to look at the menu. I asked for a recommendation. She asked if I was hungry or thirsty. I responded thirsty. She pointed to the menu again, said theyre all good then turned her back and walked away. The kind of conduct that made me want to shout a profanity. Instead I walked out. Get your coffee elsewhere. I dont care how good it tastes, Im done with this place.

Bizarre. Zuri DOES NOT serve drip coffee! Instead they use automatic all-in-one coffee machines, push a button and brew a coffee. These machines actually make an Americano (poorly) which is not the same thing as drip coffee. At all. Its espresso and water.Brewing fantastic drip coffee is the simplest and least expensive thing a coffee shop can do, yet they have these expensive machines that make crappy Americanos. Im glad many of these other reviewers are enjoying their coffee, but not me and my friends. Nearby, Wild Cherries coffee shop is doing awesome drip coffee, have multiple choices and a 12oz drip is inexplicably only $1!Meanwhile, the food and pastries at Zuri are excellent! Everyone in my group loved their food and found their coffee foul.

The chai latte is a vanilla chai and way too sweet. When we asked for a different drink they said we could buy something else. We had to ask a second time for a new drink which they finally gave us.

Everything is so yummy here! The coffee, tea, and cocoa drinks are expertly crafted and there are plenty of ways to customize the drinks. For breakfast or lunch, try the crepes. The paninis are also a favorite of mine.

I dont really care for Zuri coffee. Nothing really like Starbucks. And almost everything they have to eat there if something with a crossiant. I asked for a drink and they gave it to me hot. Then I asked for it to be iced, and when I took a sip, I was crunched on cubes of sugar. Im not saying it was horrible, Im saying its ok. Plus, my friend ordered a small coffee. She thought it was gonna be bigger than it was. People. A small coffee is a 1 inch cup not even filled with coffee.
