I took my vehicle to this location for an exhaust leak and they tried to get me to replace my turbo. It turns out the fix was only 60 bucks! They said 1700 dollars for a new turbo or 800 to replace a 60 dollar clamp. I will not return here for my VW service they are out to get the most money instead of simply taking care of the customer. They came highly recommended from my local exhaust shop and I will be informing them of this so they don’t send anyone else there. It took 30 minutes for another shop to replace the clamp. Hands down I would never recommend this shop I’d rather cross state lines to find an honest shop.

This is the place that you need to take your VW. Went in for a timing belt change- on my 2014 JSW. These guys were honest and up front about everything. The completion time was way faster than expected, and they made me feel comfortable with what they were doing, and all at a fraction of the price that any dealer would have done it for.They even showed me the old parts and layed them out on the counter for me, what was wrong with them, and why they needed to be replaced. They took pictures, and showed me the in-progress work of my vehicle. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I will definitely be back, but hopefully later than sooner. 😉 Make Pro Tech your home shop- you will not be disappointed.

These guys always go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable about working on my car. They know what they are doing, and I know the job gets done right .I drive from Bloomington to Champaign just to have them work on my car. They are nice genuine guys that will take care of your car.

I had a great experience with Pro-Tech Motors. My Mk5 GTI needed a thermostat and I wasnt feeling up to the job. They confirmed my diagnosis and fixed it all up, including a few other items I needed. At 149k miles its good to know I have a local VW tech that will keep her running when I cant.One small note. If youre in for any sizable repair you should expect the car to be there overnight. There are only two techs working. Theyre good but you can only get so much work done in a day. I know to plan for this now.

VW & Audi-Mike and Kevin are awesome guys. They wont try and oversell you on something you dont need and their prices are lower than any of the other shops around. It is only the two of them in the shop, so it might take a day or two to get to my car, but it is well worth the wait.

Pro-Tech came highly recommended from my regular mechanic who does not do work on VWs. I needed a heater core replaced and they were able to get me in quickly and got the work done on time. They were in contact several times during the repairs and did find that additional work was needed but made sure I was aware of it and walked me through the costs and let me know ahead of dropping a higher invoice on me. I will definitely bring my old VW back to them for the next repair that is beyond my skillset.

The price is too high. A regular maintenance (oil and filter changes) costs more than two hours of labor, over $350 in total.

Im just going to plead the fifth on this one I have no opinion either way it doesnt matter the car is history hes history its all in the past
