Hi, I often come to caffe bene to study. today I was hungry so I decided to order the cup bap since my bf had recommended from some years back. while ordering I could see they were busy. possibly understaffed since I saw who I assumed to be the owner helping out. well despite being busy my food came out quickly and OH MY GOD! it was soooo so good! nicely priced and the perfect serving size, even if my photo does not do it justice! I got the beef cup bap & am wondering if I should order another to take home! the service was also great! thank you so much! will definitely order this again!

Maple macchiato was delicious (and really pretty). Milk tea with boba was fresh. Macarons were great too (earl grey pictured). The inside was very spacious and set up great to work from your laptop. I definitely recommend!!!! ♥️

Lovely place!! The noise level doesnt exceed a soft background chatter which was ideal for studying. I am looking forward to coming back and trying all the cute desserts!

Had the best waffle of my LIFE there yesterday. Nice study spot (there are outlets on the tables against the walls), interesting (in a good way) selection of food.

The açai bowl is bad, it is not frozen at all. Wont buy this again. But the place is nice.

The best milk tea & bingsu!!!

I love the esthetic of the café especially when it start to get dark but it is really hot. It make it really hard for me to study when I am sweating all over my books. It has a good menu and set up but I just cant get past the heat, even when its cool outside.

I used to came this place often before or after the class. But the recent services is bad. The first time, (three weeks ago)I waited for someone to take my order for at least 5 mins, and they just ignore me and the line start getting longer which make me anxious, so I left without ordering anything.The last time( two weeks ago), my friend and I went there to get some ice tea, the cashier is yelling at me because I didn’t hear her at the first time, so rude, and she even get me the wrong tea. I hope the service could come back like the services before the pandemic when everyone is so nice in the cafe.

Friendly staff. I ordered a milk bubble tea. The tapioca balls did not taste fresh, but the area was clean and the ambiance was really nice. Their white chocolate macadamia cookies tasted good.

Theyve got good fruit smoothies and the cafe is nice and quiet.

The best bubble tea and best service in all of Champaign-Urbana. Ordered a Taro Bubble Milk Tea today, and did not disappoint! Had my order taken by a young bespectacled South Asian man, he was *extremely* friendly and attended to my order very quickly.

Good food/drink and good atmosphere to study

I ordered a bingsu, cashier charge me the largest size which was $15, I was distracted and didn’t realize until I’d already sweat my card and the cashier mention the total. the bongs I itself had almost no fruit, I was expecting a mango sorbet with it. I instead got vanilla when I asked if it could be something ele like one of the surveys, I was told it was too late, I would’ve appreciated i’m asking what flavor of gelato I wanted since they didn’t have the mango, or at least putting it on the side since I mentioned I didn’t like vanilla. All I know I felt like I wasted $15. This is not something I would order or try to order from them again. Too expensive, their cheese pepperoni sandwich on the other hand is very good I wish I had ordered that instead

This location is a good spot for studying or doing work, but the drinks themselves aren’t amazing. The milk tea is one of the better drinks.It can get pretty crowded, and that’s not the best for COVID. Also, not all the tables have outlets, which can be an inconvenience for working on a laptop. The WiFi can be kind of slow too, depending on how many people are there at a given time. Otherwise, a decent cafe.

Great place to chill and study. Nice selection of drinks, baked goods, and small Asian snacks/instant foods. My favorite drink is the hot misugaru latte. The macaroons are nice too.

Quite possibly the greatest waffle Ive ever had. Thicc, rich and twice as tasty as any other waffle I have encountered. Nice atmosphere inside, employes were all nice too. Theyre a little bit slow but in their deffense they were busy. Really though, the waffles knocked me out of my chair. You gotta try these waffles...

A cozy Cafe to study, hang out or get a quick bite! Located about two blocks away from krannert center. You get everything here from bubble teas to coffees, sandwiches to desserts including macarons and gelato. The price is very affordable. I have had macarons, gelato and bubble teas here and I loved all of it. You have to try their watermelon bubble tea smoothie and their blueberry lavender macaron. Also, you can get acai bowl here. Overall, love it!

Wide variety of bubble teas, lattes and pastries. The place is very neat and clean. Perfect place to read, study and relax.

For 2.95 2 pretty large scoops of gelato is pretty good. I cant speak gor the rest of the menu, but what I got is pretty good.

I went in for a real treat. When the desert came, I was excited. Then I was fully disappointed. It has nothing but the look. The oreo was already soft and no longer crunch. The icecream had ice inside. The rasperries were perished...I wonder how long they have been storing the food.

Very friendly customer service, and good drinks and small snacks. Ideal for students for both study sessions and breaks. The biggest perk of this cafe over others in the area is the aesthetic, if that is what youre into. The ambience is extremely warm and comforting.

Love their green tea and cheese cake. A cozy place to just have coffee with friends. They also have wifi in here so you can use you laptop. Will definitely reccomend to friends. A nice place to just hang out and enjoy.

I love the food and drinks here, but recently I feel like the service has gone downhill.I walked in today to order takeout and was immediately greeted to groans and swearing from the gentleman working at the time. I ordered my drinks and the gentleman made the order while sighing and complaining to himself the whole time. I felt gross and bothered for being such a nuisance to the worker.The drinks were made well, but the service is something that brings the experience of this Café down.

We visited for the first time two weeks ago and loved everything about it. The coffee was great, the decor was cozy and the staff were very nice.

The Taro bubble tea is to die for, delicious. I was here late on a Sunday night and also grabbed a turkey croissant from their cooler. It tasted fresh despite my worry that a premade item that late on a Sunday night might not. Great place to eat work and surf the web.

It is a quiet and serene place if you just want to get some work done while drinking good coffee. The dim lights really sets the mood.

I usually just go there for a coffee during my lunch. Nothing to too sweet, but if you like iced drinks, you might want to ask for more ice. Usually quiet depending on how the other patrons behave. Pastries are delicious while actual food is hit or miss.

A gourmet breakfast and lunch place with a good ambience. The dishes are delicious and healthy. Their bubble tea is a must to try here. You can also get cheese cakes in different flavors.

Awesome atmosphere and loved the green tea frappe. From out of town and had to wait for some friends to get out of a show. If ever in the area again will definitely come back!

I came here for my friends birthday with a group of 6 at a peak time. It was very busy, but we still received great service and found a place to sit. The drinks and the sweet bread were absolutely delicious. While its on the expensive side, its absolutely worth it for the quality and the ambiance.

Good coffee, slow service

The ambiance inside is magnificent: the tables and chairs are situated very beautifully, the barhroom is great and spacious. Everything is very clean ans the stuff is friendly. The coffee and the bubble tea is good. Gelato is decent, although the choice is quite limited. It is a nice place to spend time between classes, no loud music or anything.

Food, drinks, service, and cleanliness are always top-notch. The only downside is the lack of outlets, and personally I’m not a huge fan of the low, small tables and their chairs. This is more of a personal preference, since I’m 6’ and can’t always get a more comfortable spot at the counters by the window.

Coffee was good asked for the biggest cappuccino they have with an extra shot of espresso. however a large cappuccino came in very small cup about 8 oz cup with 2 shots for about $3.50 !! Price was ok however I rather pay a dollar more and get more coffee and more milk just down the street from them .

Had their expensive spicy chicken sandwich which was not spicy. I am confused how buffalo sauce is spicy. I just did not buy it. I expected more for the money I paid. The french roll was nice and the thick chicken breast was too. The spread was ok. But I only got two jalapenos that tasted like dill pickles. The sauteed bean sprouts did not make any sense. I got too many onions. I honestly wonder why I got a ridiculous amount of them. The mixed green salad with some long peanuts and some sweet balsamic vinaigrette was enjoyable. I would absolutely never order this again. I also plunged to spend further to get a large hot caffe latte for the road. As a home barista myself I got nothing but big bubbled foam on the latte. But the taste of the espresso had a long lasting aftertaste which I liked.👎🤡👎

Nice decor, fast WiFi, window view. What else one need to finish studies. Speciality drinks are expensive, some of them are equivalent to one time proper meal. In terms of taste, they are average. I would go again here for a sandwich and coffee.

Despite its outward similarities, their honey bread is NOT like Japanese honey toast. Theres nothing inside. But it still isnt bad, just overpriced for what it is.

I absolutely loved Caffe Benes. My girlfriend asked me to go and I had my apprehensions. It seemed like it would be a cute over priced girly stop. But I was mistaken! I ordered their $5 sandwich and was blown away. The mandarin chicken sandwich had a full taste with soft bread and melted cheese. It was the perfect portion for a killer price. Im coming back.
