We purchased a Sleep Number bed a few weeks ago. We were very excited and are hoping it helps us with our sleep. We informed the salesperson that fitting a Queen adjustable boxspring would be a challenge since we live in a townhouse and our bedrooms are upstairs and the stairwell is very narrow. Needless to say delivery day comes and they got the mattress upstairs no problem but the boxspring couldnt fit since it was one solid piece. Frustration sets in. Someone from the store calls my wife and leaves her number. It was the salesperson who sold us the bed. I tried calling that extension repeatedly and left a voicemail but no return call. I called the store in Walnut Creek AGAIN and pressed 0 and was asked if I could be placed on hold. I said sure. Twenty minutes later STILL no one picking up the line to assist. I called back AGAIN!!!!! Finally got a live person. We had to cancel the adjustable boxspring and replace it with something that wasnt adjustable. That was our only alternative outside of the fact the salespeople tried to sell us a King and that the King adjustable boxspring was basically two pieces that could fit. Uh no thanks, we already spent almost $5,000 on this and didnt want to spend any more. We get the new Queen two piece boxsprings last week which was better than sleeping on a mattress on the floor. We asked where our remotes were for the bed. Youll have to call customer service. So we went to the Walnut Creek store. It was after 6:00 p.m. so customer service was closed. My wife called customer service the next day to ask them to expedite delivery of the remotes. Oh we cant do that. Seriously? We just spent how much money on this fiasco and you cant FedEx two remotes?????!!!!! The bed itself is fine but the customer service is seriously lacking once youve purchased a bed and its funny how the person who sold us the bed was nowhere to be found when we were trying to figure out an alternative.
