Bluestone is nestled along a circle drive. The interior is decorated with a streamline approach with blue and white accents. The place is clean and welcoming. The coffee was delicious, and we did not need to add any sugar to make it taste good. We also had avocado toast and a croissant which were also tasty. If I lived in the area I would definitely go back.

3 sandwiches took 45 mins on a busy Sat morning. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Order by app or screen only, which is also slow.

This place has been my neighborhood morning Go To since they’ve been very dog friendly and I stop during my dog walks Usually super friendly to me and my dog. They have always allowed me to come in with my pup to pick up my food order - today I was pushed out when typically allowed inside to just collect an order. A reversal in treatment. Maybe it won’t be my morning walk spot/haunt any longer

I have mixed feelings about this experience. First off, the breakfast was good. Quite good actually. The coffee was also good but not hot. At least not by the time the food order was completed. There was a 25 minute spread between the coffee and hot tea arriving and the foods arrival. And while its true the meal was good, $28 for 2 sandwiches and 2 hot drinks served 25 minutes apart, was quite disappointing.

I love the Bluestone Lane shops. This one at Scott Circle however is off. Whenever I order the toast and jam they send small slices of wheat bread and American grape jelly! The other stores have their large signature slices and wonderful jam. This is more like a hotel cafe than a Bluestone Lane store.

I really love staying at this coffee shop! The ambiance is just so relaxing and they have great coffee and pastries too! I will surely recommend this to all my friends!

Best coffee- Hands down!We moved from Chicago, weve missed out, but no longer.Milk chocolate almond roasted beans turned into coffee, it doesnt get much better than that!The service is always kind and present.We love the decor and the outdoor space. We visit here three to four times a week.

Recommended. Breakfast place next to The Darcy Hotel. Fast and good service. Great food, highly recommend avcoado toast.

The highlight of my trip! The smoked salmon croissant is a must have + chili sauce, amazing customer service and the smoothest flat white 💚 I must say that this is one of my fav spots in DC.

Food was average, the poor rating is for environment unfriendly practice. All their drinks are served in plastic. their utensils, straw, everything is toxic plastic. I would love to support their business if they could adopt earth friendly practices.

I live next door. Its coffee is maybe 3rd best after Compass and Peets. But good. Interior compact. Mixture of upscale Asians from John Hopkins, embassy types, tourists from the hotel and people getting Interviews. Good sandwiches buy a little above market prices. Good service but no cash. I always feel Im getting coffee from an ATM. You walk in and swipe your card. It has bathrooms in the hotel one floor below street. Its a walk but clean. You can use valet parking but you may have to pay. There is street parking but read signs carefully. Outside tables are pleasant with a view of street and park and of course a statue with Scott on a horse. Its not far to explore city. A short walk to metro station or White House and monument. Dupont Circle and the Phillips museum etc.

I had an amazing avocado toast, ricotta pancake with iced latte, so yummy. Would definitely recommend it.

Great experience dining one afternoon. The manager took care of us even though we came towards closing time a day offered free sample pastries. I was very impressed with the service.

I have been to this location about 3 times since it opened and the service and food have been consistently good. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in, my order was taken and food came out momentarily. I have tried the breakfast bowl and the avocado toast (both are super nutritious and delicious). I also had the latte which was also really good.The team at this location was friendly and professional. The space is also inviting albeit small. It has an outdoor patio which is good for when the weather isn’t the typical DC hot summer. I look forward to coming back there and becoming a regular.

The worst experience ever!!! Ive been waiting for a single toast at least 30-40 minutes...omg. I wish they close and never open again

Great brekkie and lunch spot at The Darcy Hotel. Plenty of outdoor seating in the sun! Delicious breakfast all day bowl and great coffee. A must try!

Love this place! All the staff is so lovely and coffee is good.

Coffee was predictably fine, but OMG the mosquitos outside (mid September, morning) were absolutely awful and mean I cannot do this spot again. Also, more proof that its only a certain collection of Bluestone Lane coffee shops (not Cafes) that understand how to properly make Vegemite on toast. This one didnt.

Ive had positive experiences with Bluestone Cafes elsewhere (including other branches in DC) and wanted this store to be good too. However, as an Australian seeking an Australian style coffee, I have been consistently disappointed with this location. For the brand that markets itself as having Australian roots, I would have thought this might have been a flagship store being located practically next door to the Embassy of Australia. Sadly thats not the case. On every visit Ive witnessed chaosbe hind the counter, and staff that appear to have no idea how to make an espresso based milk topped coffee. There are much better (and cheaper) options nearby. The Coffee Bar at 17th and M is way superior, as are Bluebottle on P Street and Peregrine on 14th between R and S. Do yourself a favour and try any of these alternatives.
