Decadent coffee! Upon walking in, I was embraced with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte with half the vanilla syrup amount and substituted with oat milk. The latte was heavenly and the barista made a beautiful design to add to the experience.limited in door / out door seating, and very hipster decor. Overall a cute little spot for a quick afternoon coffee fix or a solo work day if you can find a spot to sit.
This place was in my bucket list because my friends recommended it. I like to try different flavor of coffee, so I ordered Maple Cappuccino. It was so good, exactly like what I Imagined it would taste like. The owner is super friendly, asking us where were we come from and this and that. Will go here again for sure next time👍💯💯✔
The staff here were so kind and helpful. Explained what each menu item was, how its prepared, etc. Had a brown latte and it was truly unique and delicious. My husband was glad we tried this place on the last day of our trip, because if wed gone our first day there he said he wouldve had their coffee everyday 🤣. Highly recommend this place whether youre a local, or visiting DC.
Nice little coffee shop right across the street from McPherson Square. Small inside with a few tables outside as well for those great weather days. Coffee was good and the staff was amazing. If you use the website to order ahead plan for available times more than 30 min in advance. Not a big deal if you are in the area, not in a hurry and dont want to wait in line. But if you are in need of a quick coffee fix, they prepare orders pretty quick. I also watched them take extra time with a customer who needed some customizing done to her coffee. The staff was super patient and made sure she was happy before she walked away with her cup. Great spot in downtown for a cupa. No need to hit chain coffee shops with amazing places like this. #shopeatdrinklocal
Amazing cafe, the toast tastes like it’s all homemade. baristas make sure you are well taken care of, and they are all super kind. coffee is amazing and much better than any chain coffee, would recommend !
Perfect place to relax! I am one of those people who love coffee. When I saw your shop on the website, I directly visit your place. I was so impressed, the ambiance was so peaceful and entertaining. My order was served on time and was very presentable. You didnt fail to exceed my expectations, guys! Very strongly recommended!
Hands down the best coffee shop in DC. Moving to the US I had always been slightly disappointed in the coffee scenes, but not anymore since Dua Coffee has opened a branch here. Dua brought real and authentic coffee beans from various islands in Indonesia, which are very underestimated especially by those who have not experienced Indonesia’s coffee culture. Other than coffee they also have a lot of delicious beverages and snacks - the ultimate treats that we all deserve. Must try! Oh and they deliver too!
We found this place by accident. I already heard about it from friends. We were directed to this place by Google 😁 IlLove the place. Its a cute one and they have great coffee! Didnt ordered coffee but my friend ordered it, she said its quiet good. I ordered oat milk matcha latte, its really good. Just the right amount of sweetness.
Very good coffee, friendly service and recommended place to get a cup of coffee.
I have been trying to visit different coffee shop in the DC area every week. I call these trips coffee adventures. This morning I tried Dua. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant. Both were outstanding. The service was friendly and outstanding as well. Definitely worth my metro ride in from Alexandria.
Super nice staff and beautiful outside seating.
The best coffee shop in town! I am so obsessed with their coffee! I am so happy that I discovered this coffee shop because their beans are just so good! I highly recommend this place!
A new coffee shop in Washington, D.C. are a dime and dozen these days so I walked into Dua Coffee skeptical and walked out a convert. I have no doubt it will become one of the best coffee shops in the city. Heres why:1) Concept: Its a coffee shop from Indonesia. This is their first international location (were honored!). The owners have relationships with the coffee farmers and roast quality beans.2) Coffee: Its good. Its really good. My latte was perfectly brewed. It was smooth, creamy, yet strong. Its tied with Peregrines as my favorite latte in D.C.3) Space: At first glance, its small. The front is narrow, but once you grab your coffee and venture to the back, theres plenty of room to sit on a bench, chair, or at a table with a good book and/or computer to work. The space itself is beautiful letting in natural light that glows off of the white-tiled walls. Its decorated well.Ive been once, but its already a favorite!
Impeccable latte. Wonderful service. Good food. Great atmosphere.
I lived in Indonesia for a year on a fellowship, so it is very gratifying to have a piece of Indonesia in the district. Dua Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Washington, D.C. The coffee is spectacular! I have yet to try everything on the menu, but the many items I have tried are beyond satisfying. The ambiance is great as well as is their Wi-Fi. I have worked from Dua a number of times, and I have never encountered connectivity issues. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly and kind. I enjoy speaking with them in Bahasa Indonesian. Dua is an excellent local coffee shop that everyone living or visiting the area should try!
Finally found Indonesian coffee. Trying the chocolate croissant 🥐. Taste great!
Very friendly and very good coffee. Besides that they go the extra mile to make you a happy customer. In our case they give a new coffee with almond milk instead of normal milk although it was my fault not to mention it.
Stopped in on my day off. Little cute shop. Seating isnt too comfy but theres WiFi, great coffee, and baked goods! There are 3 stools in front by window, 4 2-3 tops, 1 large table, and nook seating against the wall. The chairs do not have backs, but you can lean against the wall. There was quiet, chilled cow type music in front, no music in back. The register made a loud noise like receiving a text, but the place was calm otherwise. They had a $4 special for a croissant and iced coffee.
Excellent Cafe Latte, good balance of espresso and milk. Even had a nice design in the foam.
Wonderful coffee and beans! The beans are straight from some of the best coffee farms in Indonesia (and one particularly amazing women-run coffee farm in El Salvador). Drip coffee is always brewed perfectly, fair price point for both drinks and beans (especially compared to how overpriced beans are elsewhere in the city).
Wonderful interior design, and their iced americano was good. Sadly, they close fast.
My parents loved their Matcha Mango and I loved my Kopi Kedua. Comfy interior. Very easy to get to in downtown.
Had the Brown Latte, delicious! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Unique coffee flavors, definitely recommend the pour over!
I got the kopi kedua and it was delicious! The coffee itself was excellent, and the overall balance of sweetness in the drink was perfect.
WOW! My new favorite coffee shop downtown. The butter croissants, which are handmade in the shop, are the best I’ve had this side of the Atlantic Ocean. I also got the perfect Kopi Kedua, a signature drink made with condensed milk. It was rich and beautiful. The spot is a cozy and comforting respite from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood and I will definitely be back.
Delicious coffee and food. And the staff is extremely friendly! Really glad to have found this gem especially as everything else downtown has been closed during the pandemic. Maple latte is to die for!
Excellent specialty, single origin coffee from Indonesia, hot croissants in the early morning, and very friendly staff. We showed up 5 minutes before opening and caught the barista before he was fully ready. He still took his time to weigh the coffee in n the ports filter and pull excellent shots. The best cafe I have been to in DC so far.
Got an iced Chai tea very friendly and fast!
Delicious bakery items
Iced Cookies and cream is great
What kind of coffee shop is out of cold brew then after waiting for five minutes tells you they have no coffee. That is right, no coffee beans. No patience for pretentious, poorly run businesses.
Amazing coffee that offers perfection in every sip. The staff that is happy to be making the world a better place with every cup of Joe they craft. Got to meet the owner and his smile is contagious. Glad to work a few steps away from this fine establishment. Indonesia knows great coffee and thus place will not disappoint. Also, they got some cool treats and a very nice and warm space to enjoy ones coffee. Also, Dua means prayers, which makes perfect sense as now my prayers for first rate cup of coffee have now been answered.
The coffee here has a distinct taste that is more flavorful than most other cafes. They know their craft & give you a great cup of coffee in a variety of drinks. In addition to the great coffee, this place has a very soothing vibe. Taking a seat & enjoying a cup is a great way to start the day or catch a calm moment if your day at work is racing all over the place.
I ordered cappuccino, and it is on point. It is smooth and silky. It has no bitterness at all. The foam is close to perfection. Service is great. They seem nice people.I have made a good choice coming here this morning. The ambience is soothing and relaxing. I am enjoying the nice jazzy music. Must visit!.
Fantastic flat white, friendly staff.
This is by far the best coffee bar in DC! The coffees are very tasty and the value for money is out of the league. The staff is also very friendly
From coffee farm to Cup and from coffee been to espresso, the owners (family owned) are involved in meeting the farmers, seeing the trees, picking the beans. Very nice and casual ambience which is rare in downtown DC for a coffee shop. Theyll have outdoor seating come spring 🌺🌷
Best coffee bar in DC and far beyond: very good coffee & coffee tender is more than friendly and explained us multiple times the history of the best coffee. We had the chance to taste various coffees from Indonesia!
Fantastic Cafe! Unlike most of the cafes in the area, there are a lot of seating and space. Quite jazz and delicious hot chocolate will make any afternoon a fantastic one. My favorite cafe in the city.
Great cappuccino!
The coffee, service, and food are all exceptional. Staff takes the time to get it right, every time. A great place to drink, eat, and spend a little time.
Good coffee with an interesting menu. Looks like this will turn into a great place. For now, they were struggling a little bit with lines and lots of customers.
As an Indonesian, I approved that this coffee shop has an authentic coffee bean from Indonesia. This coffee shop is the branch from Indonesia famous coffee shop in Jakarta. They also still provide some Indonesian original snacks like Colenak 😋
Dua Coffee is nice place to hang out.Taste very good Indonesian Coffees .Lets to Rock and Roll Indonesian Coffees.*Everlasting Friendships*
Outstanding espresso plus cutest custom cups and saucers. Seating outside next please.
Nice find among the K St chain coffee shops. Welcoming space!
Friendly barista, great coffee
Smaller serving sizes (only con) but super friendly staff, great coffee, and very cute overall.
They have excellent coffee and fresh pastries with a great atmosphere.
Nice & cosy place to meet your friends after work.
The first Indonesian-owned Cafe Shop in DC. The taste and the atmosphere are great!
One of their baristas introduced herself Tara, was not very nice, messed bar, and forgot my latte! I can understand if they have long line, but i was the only customer that time! Poor her attitude! Human error.
Awesome ambiance and great coffee. They were extremely busy when I went and my coffee was ready in record time.
Best coffee I had in DC. Espresso and pour overs were great.
This is my new daily coffee spot. The staff is crazy friendly and the coffee is just so good!
Delightful Indonesian coffee and friendly staff
