Great service and food. Lovely little place. I had the Khao Soi and it was good. A little spicy but good.
I always get the Otus with flat noodles at a 2 level of spiciness. Its still spicy & tangy enough for me to gulp down a lot of water. I really like the fish balls and can do without the liver (though I love fried liver). The papaya salad is refreshing and good. Parking is pretty easy too. There are a couple of non metered spots along Bronson Ave.
Great place, unique dishes and really the type of Thai street food we are all looking for. Much better than some of the better known big-name Thai “Street“ food restaurants.
Their food seemed authentic but the ambiance is very modern — clean, simple! We got Thai fried rice (can’t remember the exact name) and something from the breakfast menu (can’t remember the name... 😓). Both dishes were two thumbs up!!! 👍🏻 the fried rice was flavorful and the skewers in the breakfast dish was.... SO juicy and seasoned all the way to the core; you get a mouthful of flavor + juice in every bite!! Plus the charted taste.... wow. The dipping sauce was very limey and delicious, too!! My mouth is watering as I explain...!The sticky rice was a bit hard but not too bad.Their Thai coffee and mocha were good, too! (They have an actual espresso machine!!)(We parked on the street in residential area next to the Ralph’s - parking wasn’t too hard, on a Sunday late morning)
Otus’ back patio is really nice and quiet, definitely a great place for a relaxing date or to catch up with a friend over their excellent Vietnamese coffee or Thai iced tea. The green curry with tofu was really top notch, as was their pad Thai. Service was also great and prices are reasonable. Overall I would highly recommend it!
Best thai food.and please dont miss their dessert,Roti.out of this world
Excellent food!! Best food had in Los Angeles!! Good service ordered to go but was fast and super yummy! Great for vegan!!
My new favorite Thai Food! Otus Thai Kitchen is incredibly fresh and has become my go-to Thai takeout in LA!
Organic food served by great people.
Otus Thai Kitchen and Coffee is absolutely amazing! So far I’ve ordered from them twice and have not been disappointed! The Tom Yum soup and street noodles with fried pork belly were such a delight. The customer service and delivery was over the top great and I can’t wait to keep supporting this restaurant. If you’re looking for great Thai, Otus is where it’s at!
OMG! Its only my second time here but YUMMMMMMMM. I picked up dinner last night and ordered the Spicy Garlic chicken with steamed rice and chicken Tom kha. I thought Id be able to save some chicken as leftovers for today but I was wrong. It was sooooo good, I powered through and ate the whole thing. Saved the Tom kha for lunch today and wow. As I sampled the broth while walking to my desk (Im working from home), my legs almost gave out. I had an oral orgasm. Ive been trying to take small sips as Im on phone calls and literally putting people on mute because its impossible to eat this Tom kha silently. 🤤🤤🤤. Both times Ive been there, Ive immediately felt extremely welcome as soon as I walk through the door. Definitely give this a try if youre contemplating on trying a new place.@angelepatino
Wow the food here is amazing. Not only did the guy at the counter great us with a friendly smile, he also went out of his way to ask the cooks if they could possibly make crab cheese wontons with out the crab! No one ever does that for us. Trust me I’ve called about 17 places one night. The food was hot tasty and fresh. Our new favorite Thai place for sure 😍
Quality ingredients, dishes made from scratch. A hidden gem!
Thai food and the feeling at this spot is very good. I love going here. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.
Otus is there when I need it. Homey comfortable noodle plate to cheer me up and put a long day to rest- one of the best around. Coffee and a pastry before a day of getting things done? ofcourse. Relaxing deserts and tea with friends? mhm.Great for swinging by, picking up, dinning in or whatever fits your day. I just love how cozy and inviting the staff always are. Ty otus!
I jus like Pa Thai noodles 😁
Wow! The flavor is impeccable! Absolutely love this place
Food is great, feels fresher than most Thai places in the area and cooked-to-order. Authentic noodle dishes are great, as are the array of larb and salads. The atmosphere is also a plus, hip and well lit, with friendly servers— a great date spot. One star down for a bad experience where our order was forgotten about, and we waited forever. This only happened once, and did not deter us from coming back. A go to order is chicken pad Thai, papaya salad, Thai iced coffee, and the spicy street noodles are amazing.
Super prompt service Outstanding in the jungle curry. NO MSG THANK GOODNESS IM SO ALLERGIC and this is one out of three thai places I know with amazing thai food. Love
Really delicious food. The old-fashioned fried rice has a subtly smoky flavor unlike anything Ive experienced, and I find myself craving it! Good service too.
We like a lot going out. Yesterday we found this delicious restaurant which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful time there with exceptional cooking and an efficient crew and a great chef. We added this venue in our list and we will definitely return very soon. We highly recommend.
I love the concept! Lovely place to drink coffee and get lunch I had yellow curry and it was spiced perfectly, tasted great, and the fried tofu was killer! The guys working the counter were attentive and really nice. Definitely coming back for more.
Absolutely LOVE this place!!! It is clean and simple, and looks like a regular coffee house, but is a Thai restaurant also. Very nice people work here, and really good food. My friend had a chicken bowl and I had pork skewers, papaya salad, and sticky rice!!! You can have western-style breakfast like waffles and Thai food for breakfast at the same time. Definitely will go back :) Street parking available, but it is only an hour parking, so you have to keep feeding the meter if you stay for longer than an hour. It is located right next to Ralphs, so park at the Ralphs parking at your own risk.
This is my favorite place for a quick bite. Never takes more than 15 minutes for pickup. My favorites are pad see ew w/beef, pad Thai w/ chicken, and Chinese broccoli w/pork belly(the pork belly is incredible). I also love their matcha latte. Can’t recommend this place enough.
The 3 stars are only for the delicious Thai food at Otus. I would have given 5 stars if not for the more than obviously rude staff. Obvious in the sense, their attitude altered from clientele to clientele. I walked in about 25mins before closing and asked right away if the kitchen was open to order. “Yes” was the curt reply “you would have to order Now.” Of course I did. Then my server serves my food and when she asks anything else I said yes some sauces and lime and suddenly she freezes. She gets them but no smile. Just leaves it on the table and goes. Excuse me ma’am, you asked me “anything else” and I said yes to the above mentioned items. I saw the same server grin from ear to ear to customers at another table. Then ice cold to someone else sitting at another table. The staff needs to be pleasant to every customer and not just selected ones. Just pretend even, it goes a long way!
Started coming here when I was looking for a local coffee shop. The coffee is awesome and didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Great vibes. It quickly became my favorite coffee spot in the area, and it’s also easily become my favorite Thai spot in LA. The egg rolls are irresistible and the pad Thai is tasty and peanuty without being overwhelming. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you stop by for the coffee, the Thai or a combination of both.
HIgh-end dishes in a low-key atmosphere. In a town with a million Thai places, Otus menu and flavors stand out as unique. The staff is friendly. They even do breakfast!
Highly recommend the its a joke.
Red curry with fried tofu was great, spicy, fresh
This place was so good we couldnt stop ordering!! Great prices wonderful food each dish cooked and presented to perfection. Super friendly, not too loud. Highly recommend!!!
Wow is what I kept saying as my husband and I enjoyed our Easter Sunday breakfast. We each had our own savory meaty entree and shared the french toast. Everything was beautifully prepared, perfectly seasoned and just yummy on so many levels. Love the copper table tops. Well crafted espresso from Intelligensia. Wish it wasnt 1000 miles from home.
Lovely little joint. Great menu and staff. Jungle curry was nice and hot! Pad Thai was well balanced - sweet, savoury and fresh!
This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is healthy and delicious.Nice presentation too. They make one the best French toast Ive had. YES! French toast. You can order it for dessert or for breakfast or go for the Thai food. You will not be disappointed.Friendly service.
The sweetest people run this place + the food is so delicious!!! I highly recommend for excellent Thai food!!
It was amazing! Service and everything. Food was delicious and such a friendly chill, inviting yet still fun atmosphere and I love to feel welcome and have fun when I come to dine or even take out. It was genuine and i appreciate that!
Very nice people, good food :)
Nice place. Cozy welcoming location. The Banana french toast was incredible. We got the chicken wings which has a nice crispy batter but needed a little more flavor. Good thing they come with some sweet chilli sauce. We also ordered the Khan min gao, the poached chicken was rather bland, but the broth and this brown sauce that comes with it made the dish flavorful. I would definitely visit again to try more on the menu.
Really great little spot! The curries are fantastic and their coffee bar selection is quite good as well. I had the misfortune of losing my wallet right after dining at Otus and the awesome staff let me come behind the counter and rewound all the security tapes to see where it might have gone. Highly recommend this cafe!
Its down the street from my apartment. I LOVE it! All the staff members are nice. The old fashion fried rice is amazing and addicting. The decor is hip. The customers are chill. I come here twice a week. They are also open til 10 which is a life saver.
Got crab fried rice, fried chicken wings and egg rolls. Fried chicken was undercooked but everything else was good.
Not filling for dinner. Would definitely come back if the dishes had sustenance because the flavors are very good. I got the yellow curry, which does not come with rice. The veggies included are pretty bottom of the barrel, mostly onion and bamboo shoots.
Delicious food and excellent service! The portions are generous as well. Highly recommend!!
After wanting to try out Otis for some time now, a friend took me and I was more then pleased with my experience there. The service was quick and the food was very good. We went after nine oclock making it great when it comes to a semi late night option.
My go to spot in LA! Delicious and high quality food. Prices are extremely reasonable. I try to get new things when I go but its difficult when I love my usual. The moo ping is my usual but I just tried the old fashioned fried rice--delish!!
This place is adorable. Theyve even got a super cool, casual outdoor seating area in the back. The food is great, the ambience is calm and hip, and the staff is friendly.
Great place, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere, Go! youll enjoy it
I have found that good Thai/Vietnamese places are hard to come by in Hollywood. Pho Basil far exceeded my expectations. The food was great and not overpriced and the atmosphere was welcoming, cozy, and nice. Will definitely be returning to Pho Basil!
I cannot believe I waited this long to eat at Otus especially as I can walk there from my apartment AND it is dog friendly! Oh sure, Ive dropped in and ordered a coffee to go as they carry Intelligentsia brand and it is delicious but I never thought to grab food on my many stop ins.Last week I decided to change that and headed in with my pooch in tow and sat in the back patio area for dinner. For a Starter I had the Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce which I loved! Super tasty and really, really fresh and the sauce paired perfectly with the tofu and herb mixture. For my Main Course I had an amazing Curry Noodle dish with chicken. It was perfect! I would order this every day for the rest of my life if I were able to! For a drink I tried the Passionfruit Caprioska made with Sake and it was a perfect pairing with the food I chose. I will definitely be coming back here to eat more regularly from now on!
They offer a Thai breakfast such as a porridge or chicken skewers, while also Americanizing themselves to carry pancakes and waffles. Intelligensia coffee which is strong. Interesting concoction they offer, the Bumble. Orange juice, espresso, and grenadine. Its funky, I like it.
Best Thai (with an exotic twist) around. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Very pleasant place. Great atmosphere.
Otus is a neighborhood favorite! Great food and friendly staff! I get food from there at least once a week when I’m in town. Definitely recommend!!
Everything was great....Had fried rice and Thai tea.....cant wait to try more!!!!
Tasty and authentic food. Friendly staff. The interior looks good. There is not only the normal kitchen, you can also eat breakfast.
The happy hour was great. The place was located very conveniently next to where I was staying. The staff was friendly. The designs they put in the foam of the drinks are so cool
Delicious food, kind staff, lowkey atmosphere, and quick service. Great local spot! Favorite dishes are the pad thai, the chicken and waffles, and the french toast. Nom!
I went to Otus Thai based on the reviews and I wish I hadnt. After asking the guy in charge what to order, he recommended the Pad Thai which happened to be my favourite thai dish, so I ordered it with Tofu to go. Once I got home, I was surprised with the saddest Pad Thai I have ever had. Not only it was the smallest portion ever, but It looked like a flight meal, a lump of beige lump, and it tasted like nothing. I will never go there again.
My favorite Thai restaurant in LA, great modern indoor setting and nice outdoor seating area. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and relatives visiting Los Angeles. It has the trifecta of very good food, friendly staff, and free parking
Delicious Thai food preparations. Friendly employees the minute we entered.
Great food small portions... And they need to update their company restaurant photos.
Very interesting brunch place! The food was quite tasty, and the thai iced coffee was good as well. One of the chicken items I got was a bit on the flavourless side, but other than that everything else was great.
Small, somewhat over priced, mussels bad, spring rolls and dumplings really good, but very small portions.
We had a performance at Kol Ami Congregation down the street, a lovely synagogue, and afterwards were really hungry. A friend recommended them so we stopped by. After that a couple of months later, we had another performance over at Kol Ami. My fellow performers were hungry after putting in all that work so we went over grab a bite for dinner. The food was amazing as always and everyone wouldnt stop talking about how good it was. One friend was a little disappointed on the portions but he had literally just woke up and went to the performance and didnt eat anything so he was starving. Everyone left feeling great and full. The space is small but homey in a minimalist home goods way. Really nice. I always get the Thai Ice Tea no matter what! Thanks for putting up with our big loud group! Haha!
FANTASTIC! Met with some friends at Otus, we sat in a quiet white light patio and were served quickly. Great, friendly service, wonderful thai foods, peanut sauce and curries! 5 star without a doubt
Love Otus! not your run of the mill Thai place, super nice people and the food seems authentic and fresh with quality ingredients. Highly recommended!
Glad I found this place. Best thai food ever! close to my parents home I come here at least twice a month
Nice place for breakfast. You can get some Thai dishes that are unavailable or hard to find elsewhere. If its a nice day, definitely go for the seating out back.
Finally a Thai restaurant that only uses locally sourced, organic ingredients, with NO msg, for all their meals. Having traveled to Thailand for a few weeks recently enjoying some of the best meals of my life, I realized how much some of the top rated Thai restaurants actually sucked. Otus finally delivered on my search for something akin to the meals I experienced in Thailand.
Thai food for breakfast? Who would have thunk? My boyfriend suggested this place and he loves Asian food so I trusted his opinion. He said the coffee was also great, which is always a plus for me. We got there and ordered a latte and a Vietnamese coffee. We decided to share the Kai-Kata, which is a Portuguese sausage and chicken bowl, with a sunny side egg that came with either a Vietnamese coffee or orange juice - opted for the juice, and the shitake chicken rice bowl which came with Chinese broccoli. He had gotten both dishes before.Coffees came out and were really good! His Vietnamese coffee was pretty strong. Food came out shortly after and was interestingly sweet and savory. The shitake bowl reminded me of the Laht Nah dish and the Portugese egg made me think of the Hawaiian breakfasts I had in Honolulu. Both were delicious but SUPER filling for breakfast! Juice was really fresh and delicious! An interesting and yummy breakfast experience! Restrooms were clean and had an interesting sink design. Would definitely come back to try the regular Thai food as well as have breakfast again!
If you need a place to kick it and work, Otus is great. Good coffee, Thai food for lunch, and friendly staff.
Totally delicious. I had the shiitake mushroom breakfast bowl. I dont remember the clever title.
Love this place so much! the Latinos in the kitchen cooked my food sooo good definitely definitely checking it and out again
Tried both soups. They are equally sour (same base). they had plenty of non-eatable ingridients, but plain otherwise. staff is friendly. decor is plain and simple. the place is clean. bathroom faucet is hard to operate.
Really good thai food with a chill ambiance. The patio area is quiet and relaxing.
Vietnamese coffee is not actual coffee with condensed milk. Its made from mix or whichever way they make it. Not real thing
Great Thai food at a reasonable price with very fresh quality ingredients in a relaxing atmosphere all day.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant. My wife and I have taken everyone who has visited us, and they all ask to go back upon their next visit. Good service, tasty food, great prices, and we always leave full without huge American portions. Staples include curry, Thai fried rice, moo ga tiem pork, street noodles, pad Thai, and pad see ew (although the last one hasnt been as good the past few visits). They have a small part in the back if youd like to eat in the fresh air but we always eat inside. The corkage fee is also reasonable.
Great Intelligentsia coffee. Pad see ew was good but nothing special. Nice dog-friendly patio in the back.
Dropped by for a snack as this is next to Toiro — really excellent steamed eggplant, pork skewers — pretty full at 3 in the afternoon, so clearly the word is out. A lot of care going into everything I found here. Will return.
The taste of the beef is soo well marinated that, i personally dont need to dip the beef satay in the peanut sauce
Brussel sprouts 👍 expresso✌
Great Thai Breakfast place. Kai katta is great, as is the shitake rice bowl.
They are willing to make a virgin drink but insist on charging for the alcohol. Poor businessman!
Best thai food in town, big portions at a fair price.Clean and friendly. I highly recommend
This place is simply amazing. Intelligentsia coffee (my fav), delicious food and they are so sweet to my dog!
The food is not good and place looks dirty.
Consistently good food. The Roti and Chicken curry is amazing!!
Cool place for coffee and basic interesting Southeast Asian food. Everything was prepared thoughtfully, using quality ingredients, and very tasty.
