Tildens did an excellent job on my car. I had various issues and they spotted the errors right off. The pricing is very reasonable! They are constantly busy but it is worth the wait. These guys took our car that had a thermostat issue and quoted a price, didn’t fix the car, now they say our car won’t start and they aren’t returning our phone calls to find out when we can pick up the vehicle. When they do answer the phone They keep blaming the mechanic for being gone or taking off early and never call back to say you can pick up your vehicle now.SHADY PRACTICES

Terrible customer service! Apparently new owners. Very unprofessional. Female Manager rude and argues with customers No mechanic On duty, use to go there when Brad owned it and he was all about “Customer Care” and taking care of his clients. My family and I have been taking our vehicle to Tilden car care for years. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and are honest. The atmosphere its very open and welcoming. Is always so nice to be able to play a game of checkers with my daughter while we wait for our vehicle to be serviced. And its always nice to be able to talk with the owner whenever he is in. Hes a really cool guy. There is also a handsome guy that sits at the front that also answers the phone.

Had my car repaired here. It took 72 days, get my car back and find out there is NO oil in it!!! I had an oil change and everything was fine prior to taking it there. Also was told during the 72 days my car battery was no longer good, although the battery I had in the car was great prior to being there and they wanted to change me for one of their batteries. WILL NEVER go there again. The lady in the front is incompetent at most, lied several times about sending things to insurance company altogether a horrible experience.

We have an older Ford F150; it seems like everything on it has a domino effect. The employees at Tilden are very understanding. They charge a diagnostic service; they call you before hand to let you know whats going on from there. You know exactly what they are going to do from start to finish. Your choices are yes do it, or not. I found their honesty refreshing. The staff is friendly. They did a awesome job. On Thursday we had to geta new battery. Then they found out that the starter was messed up.Truck is running better than it ever has.

Please avoid Tilden at all cost!Summary: Tilden did a poor job replacing my radiator. I took my truck next door to D & J who fixed Tildens mistakes.Full Story:Tilden gave my partner and I a week of anxiety. My truck was overheating after running for 15 minutes so I brought it in to Tilden on a Monday. They diagnose the problem to be the radiator and suggested a replacement. I agreed, they did the replacement, and I picked up the truck the next day.This is when problems started to occur. The truck was no longer accelerating properly after coming to a complete stop. The engine would rev up at the stop light but would not go for a few heart beats. So I naively take the truck back to Tilden to be diagnosed again. This time they suggested replacing all my spark plugs, cleaned the throttle, and serviced the fuel injectors.During the drive home after the second trip, the PROBLEM DIDNT GO AWAY! This tells me they didnt even test my truck after servicing it.It is now Friday, Ive been down a vehicle all week, and my truck still doesnt function properly.I ended up taking my truck into D & J Automotive and Performance next door to fix what Tilden did. Jeff from D&J performed his diagnosis and found that the transmission fluid was empty and there was a loose valve hose all from the radiator job Tilden performed at the beginning of the week. Jeff even test drove the vehicle after to confirm that the issue is fixed.My truck now runs great, and Tilden will never have my business again.Thanks for reading

I wouldnt trust this shop to put air in my tire. Work van initially went in for a starter. I was called with the quote and and upsale. Jessica, the winner of worlds worst customer service told me I needed a engine steam clean and a valve cover gasket. I told her no on both and she said Ill check if the old gasket is reusable. To which I replied why would you have taken the valve cover on the top of the engine off to replace a starter on the back and bottom of the engine. Shes clueless rude and a bad liar. So after all that mess got straightened out I was dumb enough to ask them to do one other repair, to replace the power steering pump. And good ol Jessica tried to charge me an extra $600 for parts that didnt get put on and work that was never done. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. If they were the last shop in DFW and my car needed fixed, ID BUY A BICYCLE!

Went there because I had a cylinder misfiring. I was told and quoted $580 for a tune up that would fix it. I didnt have the money so I told them to just replace the spark plug and wire that was misfiring. Counter guy said he wasnt sure how to bill that but would find out.While I was waiting on the 2nd quote, they took my car in and complete the work.I was surprised when they called me for payment for $300. I was never told the price would be that much. I reluctantly paid.10 minutes after leaving their shop, my check engine comes back on and car begins to misfire again.The next day I pop the hood.The only evidence someone was under there was a few loose bolts that werent loose before.On a previous visit to replace a battery I found a set of pliers near the front close to the fan.I will not go there again even for them to fix what they didnt fix.Bunch of freaking Crooks ! $160 for 1 ignition coil. Autozone has a set of 6 $104.UPDATE:Took car to another shop. The gap on the new spark plug that was installed was completely closed.Intentional or not, mechanic should have caught this.

I called & was told how much for a test, then once there they wanted another $300 for test in additional test. I told them NO. So I waisted $89 plus my time going there. I told them upfront that ALL part were under lifetime warranty & then NOT knowing for sure what problem was told me it be $1,000 to replace a part that not only under warranty but not sure its the problem.

When tell you if I could give this place zero stars I would . I set an appointment for 3pm . I am still currently still here at 4:55 waiting for my oil change and air filter. So unprofessional and there is no way I should be still be waiting for just a simple service . I do not recommend and I will never return here . And not to mention the workers didn’t wear masks and some of the other customers either .

Normally a great place to do business. I had a couple of new tires put on the back of my car. Then the tire pressure was all across the board. Went to have it fixed tilden tried to send my wife back out on the road until when she went back inside a second time and told them they didnt fix the issue. Finally she said all 4 tires were at 33 PSI when she left. Like I said normally a great place to do business, but I guess on this day someone had their head in a bucket of stupid. Either way I spent 120 dollars.

I am to scared to use them! have had friends and neighbors tell me about the horrible customer service and lack of mechanical knowledge to fix even simple tires. will not ever use them out of fear and others word of mouth.

When my car broke down I called and told them specifically what was wrong and what parts would be needed. I was given an estimate for all of it only to have that price doubled once the car was physically looked at. When questioned about the outrageous difference, I was told that I was initially given a rough estimate. I know the price for the parts and the hours for the labor. This was blatantly a con to have been baited with a reasonable price then trapped once the car was there. I did not and will not use a business with such devious practices. That is unprofessional at best and unacceptable.

These guys are Great. Lost my wheel cover after my tire rotation and they ordered me a new one with out charge and put it on for me. They are always courteous and and polite i have used these guys for a few years now and never had a problem till this happened but as soon as i let them know what happened and they took care of it asap. We’ve been taking our vehicles to Tilden for 12 years. We have always received excellent service, but really appreciate how honest they are there. Andrew, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and satisfied. In the rare event a mistake is made, he is quick to make it right. We appreciate Tilden and all they do to keep our fleet running smoothly.

Was turned away at 4:15pm when on the website say they close at 6. Trying to get a oil change. Went to Kwik Kar down the road and they welcomed me with open arms.

The first time I ever had to go here was in January for a flat tire. Exceptional service and reasonable prices. They are even open really early in the morning so you can get in before going to work. Or you can opt to drop your vehicle off.They have my repeat business for their consideration and business practices such as taking the time to not only remember my vehicle, they made it a point to know me too.

Home of the 4 hour oil change! Dont get me wrong, a $15 oil change is a great value and beats doing it yourself. I mean getting the oil and filter cost at least that much. You even let my wife and I know that you had some cars in front of us and that there would be a 1-2 hour wait before you could have our vehicles done. However, when you take over 4 hours to get 2 oil changes done, you have past the thresh hold of sensibility. I will never waste my time coming to this place for anything ever again! My time is worth more than that!

Got me in and out and didn’t try to up sell me, which was a plus. I did have a problem with the fact that I asked for a basic oil change and was given the $40 oil change while being told it WAS the basic one, however that’s *partially* my fault. Three stars for even doing that, but I will be back for the $15 change when the time comes because I did appreciate the fast service.

My go to place for car repairs...Andrew takes time to explain the entire process and the cost. They have successfully repaired my Lexus Rx350, Infiniti G37 and Ford F150 truck...

If I could give this zero stars I would. The staff is rude, awful and very disorganized. We were there for 2 and a half hours, would have been more if we didn’t get a refund. When we asked for a refund they looked at eachother as if they had no idea what to do. I understand that they were “understaffed” but they didn’t even tell us that they were 3 hours behind until we came and complained which any good company would say something before when we asked how long it would take. 100% do not recommend!!!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE. It’s better to spend a little bit more money to get it done rather than sit around and wait for them to say it’ll be done when it is an all day job.

Took my car in to have alignment fixed due to pulling hard to the left picked it up and by time I was turning into my driveway I heard a loud noise when turning I drove to Plano where I luckily noticed there was a missing bolt on my in net tire rod. I paid $1200 and my car is still pulling hard left.Do not recommend unless you have someone else double checking their work.Very disappointed.

I am leaving this review at the end of standing here for 2 hours waiting for an oil change. Several auto employees are hanging out and chatting and the inside employees and manager have ignored me the whole time. No apology when i checked out or anything. Only cost 15 bucks though. Cant complain about that.

I had previously taken my truck to another shop that turned one problem into three or four and they couldnt get it fixed. When I e-mailed Brad (the general manager) he told me to bring it in and they would get it taken care of. I was a little skeptical, but brought it in and with Brads guys not knowing what the other folks had done exactly, they began to try and sort out the problems. One thing lead to another, but what I really appreciated about Brad and Andrew his assistant is, that they didnt give up until the issue was resolved. Thanks guys, for hanging in there throughout all of the Murphys Law situations.

Its under a different last name...Durham. Its been less than 3 mo sine yall replaced my alternator and now my voltage regulator went out. I called today to see if yall have a warranty or back your work and was told Im out of luck again. I will never recommend this place or be back. The alternator wasnt even installed properly to begin with and the tech no longer works there. I wonder why?

The reason we got the part ourselves was it over 60 bucks extra for the part. Then the labor. They did not reinstall the part!!! We went to get a cv axle replaced and do to confusion and auto ZONES **( I BROUGHT WRONG PART) so its my fualt i left truck there letting them no i would bring correct part next day what i was not notified of was i would be charged twice if i came bk to them with correct part considering the labor was 120 and people are not rich i think its something u should tell the customer. We was told when it came time to pay the bill i would be charged twice and over heard ANDREW THE MANAGER WHO IS REAL RUDE COME IN EXTRA MAD SAYING HE IS SICK OF PEOPLE F##### AROUND HIS MECHANICS WHICH IS REAL UNPROFESSIONAL CONSIDERING THE ROOM WAS FULL OF CUSTOMERS HE WAS VERY RUDE AND COULD HEAR HIM WITH HIS PERSONAL PROBLEMS ON PHONE AS I ENTERED THE BUILDING. When the mechanic was standing with him telling us all the mistakes they made Samuel shhhed him and sent him into the shop. They attempted to allow us to leave their location with an illegal repair. I beg all of you reading this DO NOT use this place! Their prices are reasonable because they are going to do what they can to cost you more repairs.

I was waiting for 1 hour just to change a tire, when I went to ask what happened with my tire, the employee started doing his job, I think waiting 1 hour just for one tire is too much. thats lack of communication because the employee was not doing anything just sitting. Im sure I will not come back here

I took my vehicle for shaking and wear on front tires. Prior to this, I had an alignment done at Tilden to make sure that was the issue. I was told it was very minimal and that was not it. March 25th I took it because the shaking was bad and the wear on tires was as well. I was charged $958.98 for replacing upper control arms and the shocks or struts, one of them. Charged $420 dollars for labor. In June the shaking began to get worse and the wear on the tires as well. End of June I had my tire was flat and took it to a shop. The guy there looked at the suspension area when I asked to check to see anything wrong because of the shaking. I was told everything under is old and you need replacing, which I though but I already had it fixed back in March. He said if they put the upper control arms they didnt replace the bottom which means that the news ones lock in and the old ones take the brunt of the pressure and will give out. I go back to Tilden today to try and resolve the issue and was offered an alignment and I had to pay $100 dollars for it to see if that was the issue. I asked why the alignment wasnt done correctly since the problem was to be fixed and the rep said that somebody didnt explain it to me, which is correct, no one said anything other than here is what you need and go for it. Even the taxi driver said that they were trying to get me to come back each time the another part broke which makes sense when while the truck was being worked on, they would have spotted issues that result in shaking, etc. I also learned that auto parts discount for auto shops and they save that money. I was charged 210 labor to install the shocks at $105 an hour. I was charged 210 for the arms same time frame. It would make sense to do the work all at once. I am not a mechanic so not sure how long it takes to replace the shocks and what the price on them are because other mechanics would do the same work for half the price. Technically I was duped. Sadly because this shop was recommended and found it not to be up front and honest. I will not spend another dime here.

Very happy. All four of my tires were replaced under warranty at no cost to me. The tread had worn down too much for the milage, no fault of Tildens. The manager Andrew worked with the tire distributer, put on four new tires at no cost too me. Very respectful and great service.

Around January 2019 i went in to get an oil change. Here i am February 22, 2019 and my car is bone dry of oil. Upon calling Tilden they explained to me that they did not put the correct oil in my car but they had it. He then said to me that they are asking customer which oil they want (which they never asked me). I spoke to Andrew Perez the owner and he wants me to bring my car in so that they can look at it I think not. Then he proceeds to ask me do i want 20W or 30W which as a company who changes oil how do you not know what type of oil my car uses. He also said that he had some employees in the shop that he got rid of for not being knowledgeable of cars and that he had a whole new staff. He then stated that we needed to part ways instead of trying to make the situation right. I HATE THIS PLACE AND WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN.

Ive came here a lot in the past just for normal oil changes, but I wont any longer. The manager is pretty rude and lacks customer service etiquette.They estimated about a 45 min wait. After an hour and a half I checked with them, they didnt have the oil needed for my truck, ordered it, but it still hadnt arrived. Wouldnt have been a big deal, but no one ever told me. I told them if it wasnt ready I needed to leave, I had appointments myself and hadnt had an opportunity to let anyone know I would be running late. Without asking me, the manager decided to put a non synthetic oil in my truck, to get me on my way, because thats what he used in his $80,000 truck, his words. He then tried to charge me full price for oil I didnt want or threaten to put the old oil back in. Almost wanted to ask how he was going to separate my used oil from all others that have been drained, but it just went to show his lack of professionalism. I think there are far better places to take a vehicle and Im glad I wasnt ever here for more than an oil change

The one star is based only on front desk attendant as he was very kind...ATTN!...I took my car here for an oil change because Guaranteed Auto Xpress is closed until Jan 2, 2018. They are FANTASTIC, QUICK, and HONEST... I took my daughters car here for an oil change, got there at 8:56 am didnt leave till 12:25pm. To my defense I did not know that Brad was no longer the owner the new guy, Andrew from what I saw seems like an arrogant narcissist. Apparently a Mrs Williams who got there after me for an oil change waited way too long and got her oil change comped even though she got there AFTER me. There were also other customers that had been waiting almost the same time as me so hopefully they get on here and write reviews also When I called to talk to Andrew about it he told me it was because he had been holding her Vehicles hostage or something to that effect he was also very condescending, .. in my opinion this place isnt the same as when Brad was the owner and I will never take my cars here ever again! As to the actual service and the oil changed Im not sure yet hopefully they did it right but its not okay that I waited three and a half hours for an oil change when I was told an hour!!

They sure dont have any knowledge of the cars they are working on, my grandfather took my grandmothers car to get oil changed, cost 50 dollars, because of synthetic oil, and did not reset the oil percentage on her car, just wondering if they even changed the oil. took it back and was told he had to wait in line again.They are rude disrespectful to our senior citizens, save time and go elsewhere where they want your business. And after reading reviews everyone get the same exact response.

Nightmare.My wait was very long so I went outside to use the phone without bothering the other customers and to have a little privacy. During that time I witnessed one mechanic eating chips while getting in and out of a customers vehicle. Another mechanic bumped into equipment with multiple customer cars, albeit rubber equipment that wouldnt cause any severe damage, maybe scuff the paint a little. A third mechanic would speed across the parking lot with EVERY customer vehicle he moved. The final straw was he drove so fast that he actually bottomed out a customer vehicle exiting onto Clifford street making a loud scraping sound just to enter back in the other Clifford street entrance for easier access into the last bay.I went back inside to get my keys and left. Ive never seen a shop have so many mechanics that openly abuse customer vehicles. I think maybe the issue starts with whomever is hiring these guys.

Ive been a loyal customer of theirs for over 7 years. My mom has been for over 15 years. My husband called and ask for a quote for 4 new tires and the guy got quiet over the phone my husband said hello the guy said IM WAITING ON YOU! My husband said Im sorry Im not familiar with cars so i dont know what it is you need. I do however know the tire size is 16 inches. The guy said that doesnt tell me anything! So my husband responded well can you tell me what it is you need exactly the guy said are you in your car or around your car JUST LOOK AT THE TIRE!😕 So my husband got out of the car and read to him the numbers he saw. The guy responded and said Ok geesh so thatll run you around $700+ dollars. My husband said thank you called me and told me what happened i was in total shock theyve been so kind to us. We get all our oil changes all year for all 3 cars anything go wrong were here. I will never return to ANY TILDEN EVER after how he spoke to my husband. We live in Keller and we drive FAR to this particular location because theyve always been good to us. But NEVER AGAIN!

It was a wonderful experence. My Car broke down on freeway and they sent a wrecker and had my car fixed the same day. They even took me home so I did not have to stay there and wait. I will go there for all my car needs, Thank you Tilden for Helping me out.

I waited 2 1/2 hrs .to have 2 tires put on .Because they did not have a friggin tire stem.Im pretty sure part of running a tire store is having a friggin tire stem laying around!I Wont Be Back !!!

This owner pays his guys 9.18 an hr and expects 28 hours ot a week.. Just to bring home 700 something a week. No wonder they have turn over and slow service. Cant even pay a livable wage... Think about that next time ur oil change takes 3 hrs. 9.18 an hr.... Its 2019 owner!!!! I dont work here but i see his ads basically asking for slave lobor. Take your car to a shop where the greed isnt so thick. Think about that folks 68hr work week they work and offer 750 a week. How sad. Dont use this company.

Was told one hour for an oil change, and it took three. Not that anyone ever came and told me it was running long. Oh, and they tried to tell me they had called my name earlier, which somehow I didnt hear while sitting right in the waiting area. Patronize at your own risk.

I used to always take my vehicle to this location to get my inspection and all my other repairs, at times very pricey, everytime I go and get my inspection done Im always told that I need tires or I need a whole bunch of other stuff done to my vehicle before I could get it inspected, Im a female so they probably think that I dont know what theyre talking about, I know more about cars than any other woman, so I decided to take my vehicle to the new Auto repair place on Cherry Lane, they are very nice and they didnt try to, add any other repairs to it, when my boyfriend takes his vehicle to get inspected at this location Tilden doesnt try to add on unnecessary repairs to his vehicle, hm-mm, I wonder why.

Very up front on issues, given many options to consider. Little on the high side on estimated repair bill, when shopped around.

Came in at 3:30. Very specifically asked if was going to take long for my oil change and inspection. The owner Andrew said “no I’ll get it to the inspector now” At 5pm they had not started. I asked. Andrew told me he was going to write up the employee who didn’t listen. Andrew left. At 5:40 when my car was done the girl at the register just said “sorry.” I had to pay $55 for a 2+ hour oil change plus the cost of inspection. Worst customer service ever I should have just gone to Walmart!!!

We have been going to tilden for years and have always been happy until now. In may 2017 had a trans rebuilt with one yr warranty.In dec, trans went out again. They rebuilt again but also had to replace the drum clutch, which they charged me $350. Noy happy about that, seeing that I already paid $2700 for the original rebuild in may. I still have warranty, but from the date of the first rebuild and not the new rebuild. I will have a one yr warranty for the drum cluth.Apparently, the person who rebuilt trans in may sold his company to an employee of tilden and he said he didny have to honor the warranty, but he did. But he cant give me a new 1yr warranty on the new rebuild.So, that makes me wonder if the rebuild was really even done again or maybe he doesnt have confidence enough in his employees ti give a warranty.

If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. I paid them to install new upper and lower control arms and outter tie rods and sway bar end links. They waited until the last minute to call me and tell me they were waiting on the tool and that they wouldnt have my truck done that day. They had my truck for 9 hours. Waited till the 8th hour to tell me they didnt have the tool. And they couldnt get my 2in spacers on. They stayed late and got my truck finished without the spacers as they promised theyd do. Went in the following monday to complain they didnt do the job they promised so they wanted to put me off for 3 more days untill they could get to it. Also found out they had the tool for hours before telling me they couldnt get my truck done. I returned the spacer and decided to go on with my life. 2 weeks later in driving down the 820 and my passenger shock breaks. I get to looking and they put my coil springs in upside down!! No wonder they spacers didnt fit. Now I have to go pay another shop to so the job correctly. No way in hell Ill let Tilden touch my vehicle again. Shady shop at its best. Do yourself a favor and take you care anywhere but Tilden.

If I could rate this as a zero I would. I have a brand new 2016 car. I got my oil changed here. I drove 1000 miles to then discover that I had an oil leak. When I opened my hood, I discovered my oils drip stick hanging half way out. And oil spilt everywhere at the bottom. I then take my car back to them and tell them whats going on. They put the same guy who had made the mistake to fix it. I went in and told them. They acted concerned and went back into the shop to switch out the guys to work on my car. I go to look again and the same guy was still working on my car. I go back inside to tell them again to change the person working on my car. Again, they never changed the person working on my car. They guy finishes and when he pulls my car around he explains to me what happened. He said that the screw holding the oil pan was defaulted and blamed it on the dealership for how they made the screw in the first place. Well Ive had several oil changes and have drove my car for a year and 3 month. I have not had this problem before. At this point I didnt trust the situation. So I took my car to Volvoline to have them look at it. Only to discover yet again, another oil leak. They told me that there was nothing wrong with the screw and gasket that was on there to begin with. they said that they put the wrong bolt and gasket on the type of car I have. And that the oil filter and screw were not screwed on tight. Theyfore leaving the oil to leak more. An oil change is a simple task. I have been a good paying/tipping customer for 5 years now. They have lost me forever because I will not be returning back here again. Warning, do not go here! Just a month ago my friend warned me to not go here and that they are notorious for making mistakes. I should have listened because if this had gone on longer it could of costed me a brand new $30,000 car that isnt even paid off yet.

Good place, a bit pricey but still good work ;)
