I was not pressured in any way to make a purchase, but all my questions were answered and additional info about the vehicle I was looking at was offered. Michael Sullivan was my salesperson and he was wonderful! He was patient, accommodating, and spent a lot of time with me over several days without seeming to be in a rush to move on to another customer. The service dept. never called to let me know my car was done, I had to call them and ask if my car was done or not. During the inspection a bulb was needing to be replaced. The service dept. didnt call me and let me know about the bulb. The courtesy shuttle driver was nice and brought me home so I wouldnt have to wait.

Everybody is so friendly. Our salesperson Rhonda greeted us as soon as we walked onto the showroom floor. She had the vehicle gassed up and ready for us to test drive. Due to the chip shortage we drove over 100 miles to purchase the vehicle we wanted. The entire process (2 hours max) was so easy and efficient. We will return to Kern to purchase our next Buick or GMC just because of Rhonda and the staff. They are worth the trip.

We were on a 5,000 mile road trip with our new GMC Canyon and in need of an oil change. We had made an appointment with a dealership in Tennessee, but when we arrived they said we would have to wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours because they were backed up. We called Kern’s because they were on our travel route and they accommodated us! They were very professional, courteous and punctual sending us on our way in zip time!

Kern was able to schedule my service timely considering they are short staffed. They offered me a ride to work or to pick me up at the completion of my service.

My only concern was identification asto when the Yukon was going to be available. I was originally told the vehicle would be avaiable June 28. Afterwards I contacted the dealer and a firm delivery date could not be provided. Additionally, the dealer could not tell me where the vehicle was - production, trancent, or at a distribution lot.Once the Yukon arrived the dealer did a fantastic jon at preparing the vehicle from delovery to us. The Yukon is everything we wanted and are completely satisfied.

I do not know how to give Kern Motors enough praises for everything they did for me, and I don’t feel that thank you is enough but, THNAK YOU. Especially to my salesperson that I will forever be thankful for, Ronda Smith-Carnes. You are Wonderful!!! I had to file bankruptcy and after my discharge, I was trying to decide if I wanted to keep the vehicle I have or find a new one. I was looking all over in a 300 mile radius for a Chevy Tahoe with the options I was looking for, knowing and expecting to have a VERY high interest rate and HIGH payment. I put in for just about every dealership I could find and had my credit pull over 40 times. I already knew my credit score was shot and was expecting the worse but right before I was about to give up, I tried 1 last time with Kern Motors. At this point, I gave up but submitted an online credit app for a 2016 Chevy Tahoe on Monday 09/07/2020 but they were closed for the holiday and that also gave me a good feeling knowing the company cares about their people to give them Labor day off. Even though they were closed, I received a call from a sale person, Ronda and explained everything to her and she said will work hard for me to get me in the Tahoe. The next morning, I received a call from Ronda and she told me I was APPROVED!!! Not only that but with a lower interest rate and a whole lot lower payment then I was expecting. They even went above that, I’m 2 hours away and one of their parts driver had to come in my town to pick up parts and they got him to stop by and pick me up and drive me there so I didn’t have to worry about trying to figure out a way there. I will forever be grateful for everything they done for me and will make sure I contact them first for any vehicle I buy or my family buys in the future.

To get to Kern we have to travel about an hour and pass two other GMC dealerships. That says it all.

I had an issue with my mom’s truck. The nephew left the key on and killed the battery. Got it charged up and it wouldn’t run. Was about to loose my mind. Called in and talked it over with Mark in service. He threw me a Hail Mary and had me disconnect the battery. It worked and saved me a tow. These guys are great. Can’t say enough.

The recall/repair was quick for my new Yukon. I asked for a car wash when I walked in and was told it would be additional time and I said thats fine. What I am disappointed about is that I was charged $24.95 for the car wash. At most dealerships its customary that the dealer offer free car washes when a car is in for service.

Rhonda was amazing! I walked in and she led me to the vehicle I was interested in . She wasn’t pushy at all. The process was around 20 minutes including financing with mike . who was very helpful and explained everything clearly . Definitely recommend these fine people.

There was a problem with the latch of the sun roof of our car. I stopped by to ask the service desk about it. They asked if I could come back the next day in case a part needed to be ordered. When I arrived they told me they had the part and would fix it right then. That was a surprise, I thought I would need an appointment. In a short while they had it fixed and I was on my way. That Service counter and service team are the very best of professionals to work with. Always seem to know just what is needed and they arrange to have it taken care of quickly and professionally.

I have purchased 4 brand new vehicles in the last 3 years from Kerns GMC ALL 4 where high end vehicles averaging 80k each sticker price.My 2020 Denali has been in this shop for over 3 months and its still not fixed yet.I have been making payments on something I dont have.......NO LOANER or anything.The time that I brought it in prior to this last time the mechanic doing the oil change put scratches on the brand new truck with a tool cart. They told me they would repaint the truck but now I dont know if they will do this.I feel that this dealership is incompetent.

Kern Motors is a truly outstanding dealership. From sales, to finance, to service they have met and exceeded my expectations. My sales rep was honest and went out of his way to help with a sale that was done mostly from a distance. The finance/business representative that handled the paperwork for my new GMC was also honest and straightforward; an attribute that many dealerships lack. We had a very minor service issue and service jumped in immediately and resolved our issue in less than 30 minutes. I have bought many new GM cars from different dealerships in three different states and none have measured up to Kern Motors of Winchester, Virginia.

This company does not give fair and honest service. My daughter had an accident and wrecked the front end of her car. We received the car back after paying Kern out of pocket over $5000. Shane, the manager, denies the front end, fan assembly we making noise when they returned it to us. We took it back a second time, and Shane denies the noise again. It is pretty clear, the fan assembly was broke during her front-end accident. They are telling us we owe another $560.07 now. Stay away from this place!

Kern motors always is very efficient changing my oil. They get you in and out. They gave me a sweet deal on my GMC. I know I will go back to get my next car.

Had my Yukon towed there after hours due to a coolant hose blowing and the engine dying. Over the weekend I wrote a note explaining what the problem was and some additional work that needed done. Monday morning they called me after receiving my note from the after hours drop box. Mark was the one chosen for the work on my Denali. I explained to him what had happened and that the Denali was able to just make it into the driveway of our home as my 4 kids were in it. Mark explains to me that there maybe damage to the engine and will look into it further after evaluating it. At the end of the day, I get the call. Mark says there was no damage to the engine. He gave me the estimate and I agreed to have them do the work. The estimate seemed fair. Mark was very professional, friendly and straightforward. I also had Mark check out a popping feeling in the steering and to give me an estimate on that. Mark did and I he said it was worn rivets and rust and could wait a little bit but would probably get worse. I decided to go ahead and have him fix that too. In no way did Mark ever make me feel pressured to complete the second job immediately. He was honest and the work was done efficiently and correctly. I am very satisfied and pleased about the personal service I received and the honesty. I highly recommend this place and I will be coming here again.

Fast, friendly, family owned business! We called and asked about a particular truck and when we pulled into the dealership, the salesman greeted us at the door and told us that they already had the truck pulled around and detailed. After we looked it over and took it for a test drive, it might have taken all of 15-20 minutes for them to have us approved, with payments where we wanted them, a great price for our trade-in, and all discounts (including our GM retiree family discount that Jack Evans refused to honor). Everyone was so polite and not pushy. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. We will definitely be buying our GM products from Kern Motors from now on!

I can see why this place has such great reviews. Took my prius there for body work after I was rear ended. They were professional, friendly and you could never tell that the bumper isnt the original. My car has pearl paint, it was a perfect match. I was very happy with the results. I love the dogs that greeted me as well in the office when I dropped my car off.

My car was recently in an accident and I opted to take it to the dealership where I purchased it for repairs. Turns out, the car was totalled and the body shop guys (Shane and Justin) worked with the insurance company to try and get things straightened out since it seemed that the car shouldnt have been totalled. However, the insurance company prevailed! I now needed a ride. Trey and Benny worked with me to get the car I wanted at the price I could afford. Our company has bought work trucks from Kerns for years. Benny is a great salesman and will get you what you are looking to purchase.I take my truck to get serviced here as well as get my inspections completed here. The staff is polite and courteous. The waiting room has plenty of seating and a T.V. for those longer waits.

I asked them to fix my heater. They said they did so by replacing the armature motor. I said I recently replaced it. No matter, that was the problem and they fixed it. They charged me an ENORMOUS amount of money for that GM Part and guess what, I have no heat. I didnt complain to them because I figured if they werent concerned about it on the first go around why would they care now. This is just to let others know to stay away. Ive learned my lesson. I would give them zero stars if I could.

I bought my car from Kern in 2007 and have returned for every scheduled service. I trust the service technicians. The dealership has been very helpful. I have been driven to work after dropping my car off and picked up at the end of the day. Questions have been welcomed. I will go nowhere else.

I have dealt with this company since 1964 with my first new car and if any service was needed they was the one it was taken to with complete satisfaction.Since then I have purchased 4 new cars with minor repairs on each and service completed by Kern Motor, Winchester,Va.My 2007 Pontiac G6 seems to be a bigger challenge for them. They say I have an electrical issue after 3 services completed and unable to locate the problem. Come on guys this is not brain surgery or.....is it.We willsee with my next service appointment on Tuesday.

We were stranded 6 hours from home at noon on a Friday when our only key to our car broke in half. We called another dealer in town but they didnt have the correct key and encouraged us to call Kern. Scott & Chris at Kern took care of us and got us back on the road, although we were not able to make DC. We feel we were charged a fair price for the repair and were treated kindly when many other places might not have done so with travelers.

Easy to deal with. Called me in minutes of opening to discuss numbers. Had a deal in no time at all. Pickup up was fast too. They have learned how to deal with internet shoppers and should be a model to others. When i was Ready to buy my research was done and i knew What i wanted Jason facilitated it the way it should be. One of the things i find From most dealers is they still want to operate the way they did 20 years ago. That doesn’t work for me. I don’t write reviews but I will take a time to write this time.It’s my second gmc truck purchasing from kern motors.We were very satisfied first time purchasing GMC Sierra 2014 now another GMC Sierra a little bigger one.I love the truck very much so decided get it same company truck and same dealer.Armando Gonzales and Richard Kern helped me choose what I need. They didn’t have the truck at their location so they took a time to find from other location. They are motivated business people and that’s what we need as a buyer.I was confident enough with Richard signing the paper without seeing the truck and it is coming today evening time delivered to my place because I am working and can’t find time to go pick it up before they closed.I will come back for third truck if my second gmc truck satisfies me as first truck as my business continue grow.
