I have been a patient at Eye Associates of Winter Park and Kaitlyn Kelley, OD for over the years and I continue to have very positive experiences whenever I go there. She is professional and committed to her patients. She’s absolutely amazing and her staff is always so helpful. Grateful to have found her on a friends recommendation long ago.

I just finished scheduling an appointment for my husbands eye exam and I have to say, that after calling SEVERAL eye doctors offices today - this is the FIRST one that I decided to set an appointment with - and it was MAINLY because of the wonderful lady I spoke with named Jasmine - (also the price of the eye exam was very competitive with the other places I called). Jasmine scheduled the appointment for me. She was the nicest, friendliest, most patient and professional person that I have spoken with out of all of them - I had some very specific detailed questions about what the exam included and she took the time to answer all my questions kindly and thoroughly - and without rushing me. She set an EXCELLENT first impression of this office, and she is the main reason we decided to make this place our new family eye care center. Thank you Jasmine - your personality was a refreshing change from the other folks I talked to at the five other eye exam offices today, and because of your pleasant demeanor, the Eye Associates of Winter Park has earned a family of new clients! We will be scheduling appointments for myself and my daughter in the next few months as well.

Watch out going to these people. They Will incorrectly submit an insurance claim. Then make up an excuse about your insurance policy. Not knowing that I work for the insurance company. Eye Associates of Winter Park put a claim into collections and denied any wrongdoing by trying to place the blame on my insurance policy. Now here goes the process thats going to take months to get corrected. Friendly staff but incompetent billing department.

Dr. Kelley is awesome! She is the third optometrist I’ve been to for chronic eye irritation. She was very thorough and did a series of tests the first two optometrists I went to didn’t do. She explained everything in great detail with patience and care.

Dr. Barker gives you the most thorough and professional eye exam you will ever receive. Her assistant is Bascom Palmer trained, ranked #1 eye hospital in the USA. Its a small office in Winter Park but when you go there you will never forget it!

She answered all my concerns and I felt the exam was very comprehensive. Have worn glasses since my teens and by far the total experience was the most professional and patient friendly.

I’ve been struggling with dry eyes as a contact wearer for as long as I can remember. Im usually told I just need to “get used” to my contacts and to use drops. This never worked and at times my eyes were so dry I had to go days without my contacts to let them recover.I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Kelley who right way listened to my symptoms and instead of shrugging it off wanted to help me find a solution. We changed the brand of contacts I had always been instructed to use and I was given a protocol to follow that has helped tremendously. For the first time in years I have no eye pain and will go as far as saying I don’t even feel the contacts in my eyes anymore! It’s been such a fresh breath of air to finally find a doctor who listens and understands their patients.

New to this practice most professional Optometry Practice I’ve ever gone to! Staff was prompt, very knowledgeable, and courteous. Dr. Medvet was so thorough and spent over an hour with me trying to get the perfect fit for a new contact lens prescription. Modern updated technology used in this practice! Very happy ! Would highly recommend!

The eye doctors are excellent - they are caring, professional, thorough and so nice. The staff is very helpful, cheerful and kind. The office was recommended to me last year and I’m happy to be a continuing client!!

Poor customer service. Once they have your money, they do not care about helping out the customer or providing support and service and honoring the warranties. Be very cautious. I paid over $700 for a pair of prescription glasses and the manufacturer recommended that I go through another distributor for better service. That speaks volumes.Owner, try to be a little more empathetic of your customers needs and less defensive and reactive. The perfect time to care about your customer is when we are patrons at your business.

From the time I called the office I felt comfortable.Everyone seemed genuinely interested in me and I felt right at home. I thought Dr Kelly was very professional and had an amazing manner about her. I booked family appointments on the way out -I had such a good experience!!!!!!

Dr. Barker is fantastic. Clearly super knowledgeable, happy to explain exactly what hes doing/looking for with your eyes, patient, and funny to boot. The front desk folks are incredibly friendly as well, and my experience with getting glasses was efficient. The person who helped me pick glasses and glasses options (Caleb) was wonderful, honest, and again, happy to answer questions. Would highly recommend this office.

The office is not managed at all well... my husband called up the day before his sons apointment to give them the updated vision insurance.. The office did not use the eye insurace that was given but used the old one that would cost us more money.. While on the phone to discuss this and fix the sitaution the office manager hung the phone up on my husband and did not care.This office does not support divorced parents and allowing both parents to be active in the childs medical history.. They were asked since it is a high conflict divorce to allow both parents there or even allowed in the office area so they can both be included in medical decisions.. we were told only one parent due to covid. It was asked if facetime is allowed and was told a message would be sent to the doctor. Called the next day of the appointment and still no answer. The eye doctor called later and was super nice. However the staff should have made sure the doctor recieved the message. Horrible customer service from office staff and office manager.Between the way the office manager hung up on a phone call while trying to get the financial and insurance correced due to there mess up and not trying to accommodate the sitation at all is unacceptable.. the doctor there was nice and did answer the questions we had but the manager refusing to even call us the first time like asked about payment is unacceptable.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dr. Kelley was extremely detail oriented regarding some of the options I had regarding eye testing and ways to handle dry eye. I have never kept a regular eye doctor because I was never that impressed with anyone before. I think I found my new eye home.

I have been under the care of the Drs. Barker since they started in practice over 30 years ago. They are pleasant, knowledgeable, use state of the art equipment, and know what to do with it. Their staff is always well-trained and on it. All in all they run a very good store in every aspect I can think of. As a dentist my eyes are pretty important to me, just as yours are to you. I cannot imagine that any other group could do as well for you as these people.Just went for my annual a couple of days ago. They are STILL the best ever !

I just moved to Florida, and I was looking for a place to get my yearly eye examination. I read past reviews that this place was good, and I definitely agree. The women behind the receptionist desk were extremely nice and helpful. Also, the doctors doing the eye examination were fantastic. They asked questions, carried on conversation, and made me feel comfortable. I did get my eyes dilated and they forgot to give me glasses before I left. I had never had my eyes dilated before so I didnt know what to expect. I only made it across the street because I couldnt see anything. I called and they apologized for not asking if I needed glasses and the lady walked across the street so I didnt have to drive back and gave me glasses to wear. Even with that slightly terrifying experience, I still recommend them to anyone. I will be going back to them for every eye appointment from here on out!!

Ive been going here for several years now and just love Dr. Barker. He is an excellent doctor but also funny, personable and makes you feel comfortable. I strongly recommend this office.

Dr. Sandra Barker is so pleasant and very thorough and patient. I had my first eye exam there about a month ago and was very pleased. State of the art equipment was used to measure the shape of my cornea to fit my contacts and then she spent a lot of time trying to determine my exact needs with contact wear. They are very accomodating with appointment times and the ancillary staff are very courteous and helpful. I was hesitant leaving my optometrist of 20 years (due to distance) but I feel I made a very good decision in choosing Eye Associates of Winter Park.

I have been a client of Eye Associates of Winter Park for 20 years now. Dr. Sandra Barker is a kind, caring and wonderful doctor. She has always taken time with me to be very thorough and ensure that I understand the health of my eyes and signs or symptoms to be aware of should there be changes. Now I take my son to see her as well. She was very patient with him and made him comfortable during the exam. She also took a picture with him to remember his first eye exam which proudly hangs on our fridge.Last but not least, Anna in the scheduling/billing department is so kind and sweet as pie. “EYE” cannot express enough how GREAT of an experience I had!!! I was a new patient and hadn’t gotten my vision checked in over 4 years and the service and care I received every step of the way was above par. Upon check-in, the clerk at the window was so friendly, pleasant, and helpful. All of the various techs throughout my visit were also very professional, courteous, and answered any questions I had about the various tests I had performed.Dr. Katelyn Kelley was THE BEST! Soooo sweet, so personable, so knowledgeable, and so comforting. I told her that my last eye doctor scared me a little when she looked into my eyes which may have led to the lapse in time since my last visit. Post-examination she told me my eyes were perfectly healthy and that my eyes were naturally a little different in relation to the opening where the optic nerve leaves my eye and that’s probably what my previous eye doctor noticed and may have caused slight concern with them.Additionally, Nicole who helped me with my glasses selection was super attentive and helpful. She acknowledged me while she was finishing up with a previous customer and let me know she’d be right there to consult with me. She was super helpful in explaining the digits that frames are measured in, which is the millimeter distance from one end of the lens to the other. She took the time to find the right number for me and helped me narrow down my choices and said that I could call her and give her my credit card info over the phone later if I didn’t wanna make a choice then and there. She broke down the costs with my insurance, which I appreciated. They were in network with my VSP insurance which was nice. She was so friendly and helpful!Lastly, the associate at the checkout desk was super sweet and helpful in printing out my prescription on paper and answered my questions on the breakdown of what all the numbers meant when reading my prescription. I had such a STELLAR experience and will definitely return year after year!!...and will be that annoying friend referring all my friends. The only small thing I would change is that I wish they had a slightly larger selection of frames. They have a nice, good selection (Ray Bans, Tom Ford, Maui Jim, Oakley, Dolce & Gabbana, etc.) but my last frames were Persol and I wished they carried that line.

Dr Sandra Barker is very thorough. She takes the time to explain everything. Dr Barker stays on top of the new technology to diagnose your eyes. I would not rust anyone else to take care of my eyes! her service is 5 stars from start to finish.

My daughter (4 years old) and I have both seen Dr. Gary Barker. My daughter has seen many different doctors and specialists for various medical issues and Dr. Barker has been BY FAR her favorite! He was so incredibly amazing with her. If you are looking for an eye doctor for a young child or even yourself, I couldnt think of a better person! Ive had to bring her glasses in to get adjusted a few times and their staff has also been extremely friendly and helpful.

Dr. Sandra Barker has been my eye doctor for 15+ years and I would recommend her and her staff to anyone. They will work with you to take care of all your needs.

I would make sure before scheduling an appointment with this office that you are absolutely sure you're going to make your appointment. No last-minute emergencies that might come up within 24 hours of your appointment, because this office will charge you $25 cancellation or reschedule fee. Now I understand I worked for a doctor's office for many years and we had persistent patients who cancelled or rescheduled their appointments and that can be very inconsiderate or annoying for any practice. But we never ever charged our patients a fee to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Now I have never cancelled or rescheduled an appointment last minute with Eye Associates of Winter Park, but, today I had an emergency and had to reschedule my appointment and I was told I was going to be charged $25. because I didn't cancel or reschedule my appointment within 24 hours. I can understand if I was a patient who persistently was cancelling or rescheduling my appointments last minute but this was my very first time. Needless to say I was totally turned off by this practice and we'll be looking for another optometrist office that is a little more forgiving.

I have been to multiple places for an eye exam and glasses. The physicians at Eye Associates are the best. My exam has always been correct but not so with others. I have prism lenses and not always easy to get it right. The quality of my glasses is outstanding!

I have been seeing Dr. Ball for about 20 years. She is very thorough and professional. She once detected a serious eye problem and immediately sent me to a retina specialist. I also have some eye conditions and she thoroughly checks my eyes using the latest technology and keeps me informed of the progression of these conditions. I like that SHE conducts the exam for glasses. I’ve always gotten my glasses there and the staff members are friendly, courteous, and professional. If I have a problem with my frames, I bring them back and they adjust them quickly and for free! I always recommend Eye Associates.

Let me start out by saying I was heartbroken when our insurance changed and I could no longer see the doctor I was seeing for a few years now. I was worried about going to a new doctor because off other past bad experiences. I have to say I was floored! Not only were they understanding, they actually cared! Very thorough examination, very courteous, caring and professional. The doctor was able to tell me why my eyes have changed and answer all my questions without, and this is the important bit, making me feel rushed! He was even willing to talk to me about my daughter. When we moved back to Orlando several months ago I needed an eye doctor to renew my contact lenses. When my sister told me a story about how kindly they treated my father, who has advanced dementia, I knew this was the place to go. And I have not been disappointed. Dr. Barker has been our family eye doctor for 20+ years. After experiencing a trauma to my head, I lost sight in my eye. Dr. Barker took over my care as if I was nothing less than a family member. He researched and consulted after hours, on his own time. He got me in to see another specialist immediately. I, and my family believe that his commitment to my care saved my vision. Over the years, we have experienced other emergencies and they are always right on top of things. Misdiagnosed by Eye Associates of Winter Park.In July 2018, I thought I had lost a contact lens in my right eye. When I went to take it out, I couldnt find it. I really searched and I tried all different methods to try and find it in my eyeball. But, since I couldnt feel it in there, I eventually I figured that it must have just popped out of my eye while I was taking a shower. About 2 weeks later I got an eye infection. But, still not thinking that it was due to a contact lens stuck in my eye. I had all the symptoms of conjunctivitis so, I ended up purchasing over the counter eye drops for conjunctivitis. My eye cleared up a few days later. But, within a couple of week, I got conjunctivitis (so I thought) again, and again used eye drops and it cleared up again in a couple of day. Ok, so this went on and off for about 7 or 8 weeks and it just didnt seem to clear up completely. So, now I felt like it was time to see an eye doctor. So, I scheduled an appointment on Sept 7th at Eye Associates Of Winter Park and explained to them what was going with my right eye and how at that point I felt like I may still have a contact lens stuck in my eye. The assistant was reassuring that if there was a contact lens stuck in my eye, the doctor would find it. So, the doctor proceeded to do, what I thought was everything she could do to find this missing contact lens. Well, to no avail, she didnt find any contact lens in my eye and assured me that my eye infections were probably due to allergies. She said the Ragweed in Florida is the worst its ever been. She also stated that I had dry eyes and recommend eye drops and sent me on my way. Within 4 days after my appointment I had an eye infection again. But, on the advise of the eye doctor, I assumed it was allergies and continue to use the recommended eye drops. This continued to happen at least 2 more times. Well, on Oct. 30th I woke up and I very strongly felt something in my eye. When I got to my mirror to look to take out what was in my eye, lo and behold, it was the that contact lens that had been in my eye since July! It was so gross looking. I havent had any problems with my right eye since then. I feel like they should give me my money back. What do you think?

I have been coming to Eye Associates of WP for a very long time, before they were known as EAofWP they were Dr. Adkins and Adkins. My first visit was when I was in junior high school. I am now in my mid 50s, and will continue to use EAofWP until they are no longer. Great experience always!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sandra Barker for over 15 years with a very challenging progressive sight problem due to a brain tumor and radiation therapy. Dr. Barker is outstanding and her staff is the best in the industry.

Excellent advice on lens technology for both progressive lens and sunglasses. Very careful with sundry eye issues like cataracts, macular distortions, etc

I go to Dr. Giedd, and he is professional and very helpful. They work with your insurance and make sure you get the services that you need. Would highly reccomend them!!

Don’t visit this office. Mr. Barker Owner and Dr. verbally assaulted my wife, was unprofessional and charged for a service that never was provided. I will be filling a complaint against Mr. Barker in Seminole County DA Office and hope this won’t happen again with other patients.

The Barkers have been my familys eye doctors since first beginning their practice in Winter Park -- over 33 years ago. I cant say enough nice things about their care of me, my children, and now my grandchildren.
