They did an oil change and found filters that needed replacing. I was pleased with the way things were explained and the quality of the service. One recommended service (replacing oil pans) I postponed and will see if I can find a better price elsewhere.
Very professional and friendly staff. Thorough inspection and reporting gave me confidence in the work we had done. Fair pricing. Great discounts as a member.
I have been bringing my vehicle here for years. It is an older vehicle, my only vehicle and I have had to bring it back several times as the same problems repeat themselves. I don’t know if they are getting discounted parts, but I sure pay full price and then some. Very expensive parts and labor to have to repeatedly bring back to replace and wait 2 days each time for them to repair. The only saving grace is the 12 month warranty. They have gone downhill in repairs and customer service. I do NOT recommend them.
They did much better on my second visit. On my first visit, I got pricing by phone on an item and we had a communication problem. On my second visit I asked for written estimates (by email) and we were able to talk through the details to ensure I was getting what I wanted/ needed and expectations were clear. They are easy to deal with, my only complaint is their parts pricing seems high.
I decided to take advantage of their $49.99 synthetic oil change special for our 2010 Honda Insight EX . They were able to communicate with me well (text and email) leading up to a finish time, but I was surprised when the final bill was $59.99. I asked what else was charged and the service attendant, Mark Stevens, stated an oil disposal fee was assessed. I looked at the $5.20 fee on the receipt which stated Supplies. Obviously, this is a slop fee that is not included in the advertised price. Sadly, I felt ripped off because I didnt get the deal I wanted to and now they lost my business and others from this report. In addition, and with respect to Crystal T.s report of 1/11/2019, they tried to sell $2,700 of repairs which I didnt need. Who are these people???
My first time using AAA Apex Car Care Service. What a great experience. Scott Pacinelli, Manager, was great. A few days before my service, I talked to Scott over the phone. He was helpful, professional and courteous. Then meeting him in person, I received the same friendly treatment. I went in on a very busy day to get a brake light replaced. No sooner did I sit down in the very comfortable, clean, lounge area, service had completed the replacement. Ill be going back for auto service in the future!
Courteous and friendly. Kept me posted on progress
Clean and friendly, didnt get what I wanted, got something different, with discount. Not very informational with what I did get, or car mileage for going a higher grade oil.
I went there on a Saturday morning without an appointment, expecting to spend 3-4 hours waiting. They understood my urgency, and AAA completed the job in less than 90 minutes. I am grateful!
Great and fast service. Staff helpful and friendly!
Always friendly and up front about what the car really needs fixed versus things that can be put off.
Amazing service at this location. We were hoping to get a used car inspected prior to purchase, no where was able to squeeze us in. The team here was very courteous, professional, and accommodating and worked hard to help us out. Their work was honest and efficient. Not only that, but they are taking covid precautions very seriously to protect customers and staff. They went above and beyond to help us out, we will definitely be returning to this location.
Wouldnt take my cars anyplace else.scott is the best,he treats everybodythe same,I have sent many of myfreinds to AAA,they all say the same thing.
Wasnt able to do a basic car inspection, wanted to schedule an appointment 1 week away. Went somewhere else and got it done immediately
Very satisfied with service. A place you can trust.
The folks at the Apex center are very friendly an honest to work with. Scott Pacinelli in particular provides excellent customer service and has done a fantastic job of taking care of my vehicles over the years. I recommend Scott/Apex AAA Car Care to all my friends and neighbors.
They Treat You Like A Customer,Scott Is The Best.
I was iffy about using this place after looking through reviews, but my alternator had given up when I was less than a mile away so I chanced it! I was very happy with the results. I know a fair bit about cars, and I felt that I was fairly priced. I was given an exact estimate, and that is what I was charged. I dropped it off without an appointment right before close, and it was ready the next day at lunch. Thanks Scott!
Coolant system flush and fill, tire rotation
I love AAA - well worth the price. Came out to a flat tire that morning - called AAA and they came very fast and they fixed it crazy fast. Everyone should have AAA and upgrade to the 100 mile towing is worth it. AND do you know you can go the the office and get your next trip mapped out, they have coupons, free maps and some locations take passport photos and you can renew your drivers licenses. And if you break down because of an old battery - if requested they will bring a new one to you. And discounts on hotels. Ok I am done!
Fast and fantastic service with no up selling
I cant speak higher of Larry Rusk, this man went above and beyond to get my car back to me in the best shape possible and as quickly as possible. Larry is a breath of fresh air among typical customer service interactions; I was treated with kindness and care from the first minute I entered AAA. Keep up the good work, Ill definitely return here for future issues!
Been a loyal member since 2014 here in apex- before that in Michigan as well. Did have an issue after some repairs (these things happen) the manager Scott was responsive and reasonable - and quickly made things right.
People were helpful and pleasant.
Called to find out the price for replacing spark plugs on vehicle and they were a $156 more than the dealership . They wanted to charge me $298 to replace 4 spark plugs on a Toyota Camry.
Visited regarding a vacation. Staff very nice and informative.
Went for an oil change and requested OW-20 oil. Scott made it look like that was not an option and instead had only three packages. Good, better, best. Little did I know they were being dishonest and were upselling their additives to bring up the cost of the service to over $70. Please be honest and ask the customer if they need additives or the base package, but please dont mislead your customer. We trust the AAA name and you will tarnish it.
Just left AAA an hour ago and was insulted in a quiet way by Larry. He said he was painfully aware of who I was and I have never met the guy in my life and was simply picking up my car key. I said nothing in return and thought he may have a degenerative disease due to his age but if not, he was rude! A theme with AAA locations in Wake County. I miss my old mechanics.
I recently needed repair on my car so we called AAA Auto Repair in Apex. From the first phone call until picking up my repaired vehicle later the same day, Scott and the team were professional, kind, and very helpful. I am very pleased with Scott and everyone at AAA. Highly recommend!
I was in a pinch, they were clinch
Larry Rusk always takes great care of me when I service my cars at the AAA location in Apex. He makes sure the work is done on time, always correctly, and always saves me money where he can. Excellent service advisor. Dale also was very helpful in my recent trip to this service center.
I responded to an add in the mail to have my Jeep oil changed and locate an oil leak. Larry was outstanding explaining what the technician were doing and why there was a delay in completion of the job. They added a dye to the oil and within a month or 1000 miles they could identify the location instead of Easter-egging it.They also performed a diagnostic on the Jeep and Im sure I will bring it back for brake shoe replacement too.I had no idea they did car repair and after this appointment Im going to join AAA.
Do yourself a favor and use AAA CAR CARE ! My experience was first class. My service Advisor, Larry Rusk was great! My service was fast friendly and efficient. They didnt try to sell me anything i didnt need, and were genuinely concerned about my satisfaction with their service.
I had previously given this location a 5 star review that I must now retract. I have visited two more times since and both have been very disappointing experiences. The employees dont seem to know if you have made an appointment and really dont seem to care. I understand that during COVID there will be additional time for disinfecting the car but the employees are quoting at least two hour waits for any service. I made an appointment for a state inspection. I was told I had to wait at least two hours. I asked if my appointment time would be honored and was told I dont know what that means. I took a seat and could see the employees behind the counter talking about me. It was extremely unprofessional and I will not be returning to AAA for car services.
I love the front desk staff in auto dept...the gentlemen are patient and willing to discuss all the alternatives for my car and genuinely able to answer questions without up-selling. I bought good tires knowing they were not the best and I appreciated that they did not kill my budget.
Very pleasant experience. Everyone is friendly and they make you feel right at home. The crew is very professional and they did a good job on my car.
Helped us plan our trip
AAA discontinued the shuttle service at the beginning of this year, which means taking my car here is less convenient. However, Im giving the Apex location five stars because the staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly, competent. They let me know when something is beginning to need attention, and I trust the recommendations they make. Its not their fault the corporate office decided to discontinue the shuttle.
Friendly and courteous staff but wait time was longer than anticipated. Also I was supposed to get a free tire rotation with my oil change which they didnt do because they said my from tires were bad and needed to be replaced. I had someone else check the tires after I left and they are fine.
Visited several times for different services: NC state safety check, tires change/rotation, oil change and etc. Fast and effective work, knowledgeable and supportive personnel. I was guided through the process and got an explanation on the next steps. Fair price.
Be sure to get upfront pricing in writing.Call and make sure their valid coupons are applicable to your vehicle. There are many options for your work in the Apex area.
Great service. Ben was very helpful in checking my tires! Im grateful for his help. Scott was very nice and helpful to get me to the right person to help me with my tires. I plan to see them later for new tires, etc. Way to go!
Very helpful and professional!
Friendly, helpful, and reasonable prices
Very happy with the service I received today. Scott Pacinelli helped me & was very courteous. I did not have appointment, dropped off my car & they were very fast & I was happy with the price. I would take my car here again & recommend them.
If you love this place its because you have absolutely no concept of basic car repair. Thats fine -- its your money. Just know that they smile and nod behind that AAA logo as they reach into your back pocket to remove several hundred dollars in bogus repairs. Ive brought several cars here the past few years and given them WAY too much money but enoughs enough with these guys. They are shady as hell.
From the moment we arrived to take care of the disposal of my sons car that had been towed there by AAA, Scott gave us an attitude and very negative impression. He kept asking the same questions and treated us like an inconvenience. He talked down to my 28 year old son and asked where his mothers AAA card was. He dismissed my questions about what the process was to have a car junked from their lot by saying he had no idea because they are an auto repair service. He was short and actually nasty until I picked up one of his cards, then all of a sudden he was interested in helping. By then, we had had it with him. I had to remind him to wear his mask over his nose to which he replied the plexiglass had kept him safe so far.He told us that if we even attempted to take the plate off the car or leave with the keys before the wrecker came that day that the car would be impounded so we would have to pay fees to get it back.I would avoid auto care here because of his attitude.
This stop is my go to for car care in the Apex area. There has been a change in management and they are working very hard to return the location to what it once was.Prices are reasonable, especially if youre a AAA member, and I really appreciate the text message alerts updating me on how my car repair is progressing.
Weve been coming to this AAA location for over 5 years and have always been treated with the upmost respect and honesty. Scott and Larry up front have always been very informative and their punctuality is unbeatable.
I truly appreciate the professionalism and courtesy at this shop, especially with the front desk personnel. The manager Scott and Larry were very thorough and explained everything in detail of the work being done. I highly recommend this place for the honesty and quality of their work.
I really like AAA Car Care centers. I accidentally showed up on the wrong day for my appointment and they still worked me in relatively quickly. I have only had positive experiences with AAA.
Welcoming staff, clean waiting room, fast and complete service, detailed explanation of service provided in
Several people waiting on delay. I had just called for an inspection and was told they had an open time at 1:30. Meanwhile at 2:15 they say my car is just being taken in, when I had anticipated it being done by then per discussion when making the appt. then once it was finally pulled into the garage, they forgot to give the paperwork to the mechanic creating further delay. Advice if you need something simple like an oil change or state inspection go somewhere more organized such as Firestone Apex etc. I wasn’t the only one in this position today.
I wish that I did not know anything about automotive service, or tires. If that was the case, I would have probably believed what Scott said to me. Check behind everything that guy says to you. I guess if you say something and actually believe it yourself it is not a lie? Get a second opinion before committing to anything these crooks say. He works on a commission in a auto service center. THAT SCREAMS INTEGRITY! AAA car care is there to prey on its uneducated members. Who, are usually elderly, or have a membership because their parents have it to them. AAA discounts are a joke. BEWARE!!!!
Larry and Scott are great advisors when it comes to taking care of my new Subaru. Ive signed on for the maintenance plan to keep things running smoothly.
Friendly and helpful
Good service and polite employees.
Great customer service and mechanics----see SCOTT !
These people really care about your experience with them.
Had a minor miscommunication that was fixed with 1 simple phone call. Highly recommended.
Easy to work with- crew was very thorough and went over lots of details regarding car. Nice clean place
Very courteous, kept me informed on progress, offered member and coupon discounts. Thoroughly completed on time!
Came here again to get my truck looked at. Dudes here went above and beyond the call of service to make sure I was taken care of. I was already recommending it to my friends. Even more so now.
I went into schedule an oil change and Larry sir it up. I returned the next for my service and Scott checked me in showed me the coffee pot. We talked about why I came there and not the new one on Walnut st about two miles from my house. I told him that I went there when they first opened and Dusty was the manager and like it a lot. You all got a new manager that has no personally and does not make you feel welcome. The personally of the staff is as important to me as good service.
Excellent customer service
Excellent
Helpful staff. Completed our future travel plans. Highly recommend them!
Great service thank s Team
I received great service from Scott Pacinelli he was so kind a patient with me. I was having a bad start to my day, and he really was a breath of fresh air.
I got pics taken twice here for my passport.. and for my 5 month old daughter .. theyre so accommodating! Tammy is the best.. BEST !!
Always friendly staff that gives advice i can count on plus an easy experience.
I agree 100% with Jack Martin - I recently went in for an oil change and the mechanic said i needed to get my transmission mount replace. Estimated price was $1600 and he ordered the part. He wanted me to give the go ahead to get started. He said it was a 9.5 hour job and I couldnt wait that long so I rescheduled for two days later. In the meantime, I took it for a second opinion, paid the $70 bucks at a dealer to do a check as well as check the transmission mount - Dealer said it was fine and no leaks. Now I dont know who to trust - I have had my car serviced at AAA almost 3 years now and I have paid more to them than what i bought my car for. I have had a wheel hub replace, alignment, brakes, etc... each time there was always something new with an added cost. I now question their integrity and back to searching for an honest mechanic.
Very professional and honest
Great customer service! Thorough check up on my vehicle. They are busy so book ahead but it is worth it. Good prices and if you are a member you get coupons and a discount.
Even with an appointment, the oil change was 2 hours. a tire rotation was included but was not performed and when asked were told it wasnt needed. our cabin filter was only 3 months old but noted a new one was needed. and another $1200 in suggested repairs - which we checked after with our standard mechanic and most not needed. very disappointing both times we had service done there. if you go there, verify the service you are paying for is done and do not fall for extras.
Stop by the travel department to see Mrs. Hope. She is great and will save you money on all travel expenses.
Got my Rav 4 repaired here an year back and alternator replaced. No complaints after that
Good place for routine auto service, plus tires and brakes. Very helpful travel support from currency exchange to booking cruises. Small selection of luggage and travel accessories.
Absolutely a great bunch, I wouldnt take my car no other place
Great service all around
Weve been getting our cars services here for almost 7 years for oil change and maintenance services. If you communicate exactly what you want youll get that. The car care managers customer service is great. They also match comparable competitors coupons.
November of 2018 my engine light goes off, scanned at Auto zone they said it was a fuel injector part. I decided to try the AAA shop since I have their road assistance service, boy what a mistake! ... got there at noon, waiting, waiting (with my hungry 6 yr old), pouring raining outside -no way for us to get food-. Quoted me 10% discount for being a member at almost $400 for this repair and another $99 for the diagnose -there goes your discount- (Diagnose took 4 hours), at almost 4:00 pm I was informed that the part needed for the repair was in a store in Raleigh and that he would have to go pick it up...and that my BATTERY was bad as well. I remembered my battery being recently replaced by AAA in FL so I told them it was under guaranty, they called and confirmed it was, and promised to REPLACE IT free of charge. At that point is almost 5 pm they said that they wont have it ready (even though this was an EASY FIX), and that I had to leave my car overnight, having no choice had to call an UBER home (sigh).... THREE weeks later, Im at a car wash with my son and my car battery is dead, called them asking for them to pick me up since they had just replaced that battery right? (youd think it was defective), the guy on the phone just said that I have to find a way to bring the car to the store and that I would probably have to pay for another diagnose (REALLY!). Had to ask strangers to jump start my car, took it back to AutoZone where I called AAA road assistance, after 2-3 hrs of wait the AAA driver tells me that my car battery is OLD (showing a tag of 2016) and was NOT replaced 3 weeks ago as they were supposed to and itemized on the final bill.... At that point Im frustrated, the AAA driver is puzzled, and his Supervisor is infuriated for taking one of his guys to do a job that SHOULD have been done at the shop (he said he was going to investigate this issue further). Im grateful that this happened on a Saturday afternoon and not in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere, they DID NOT replaced the battery and put me and my son at a great risk!!!!! Few more weeks after that my engine light goes off again, they said it was a fuel emissions hose that was usually tampered with at a recent job (go figure).....Bottom line is, unless you want to get cheated and lied to, receive the slowest service ever, and come out of their shop with more issues than you went in there for, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE and take your car to your local mechanic.AAA I love your road side assistance but your car care shops are a disgrace to us loyal consumers!
Friendly staff, knowledgeable mechanics and competitive pricing. Sometimes the wait is over an hour so dont consider it a quick place to go for an oil change. Appointments recommended.
This was my first time getting an oil change with AAA. I really enjoyed being able book my appointment online. The waiting room was comfortable and I could see into the shop. I also liked the print out that I asked for on prices of things I need to get done.
I took my 98 Jeep in with a mysterious electrical problem that I was unable to troubleshoot. It turned out the part for the cable was no longer available; however, the mechanic took the time to fabricate a custom cable and replace the defective part. The cost was amazingly reasonable to do what would have taken me hours to figure out if ever. I was impressed with their competence and willingness to go above and beyond the average for me. I will be taking all four of my cars there from now on. Thanks.
Appt for new was at 11. They close in 2 minutes and my car is still up on a lift. No tires on it. Shouldnt take over 5 hours for tires. Dont waste your time.
Went in for a tire rotation and tire patch. Charged $29.99 for tire rotation plus another 29.99 for tire patch. I noticed the tire rotation was not done (I marked the tires beforehand). When I went back in they said the front tires had slightly more wear on them than the rear so they did not rotate! Then why charge? I wonder how many other people are being charged for services that are not being done. I rotated about 10K miles ago so the tread difference is only small and it should be rotated to keep the tread even.
I went in for a rotate & balance and an alignment. It was awesome watching the mechanics leisurely walk around without a care in the world. Finally after about 20 minutes the guy comes out and tells me I need an expensive repair and someone else would give me an estimate. And he could only rotate but not align... which was fine. Another 20-30 minutes pass and I finally get called back to the front area. The estimate was over $400! I took it back home and for $16 my husband fixed it. Seriously, I may be a woman, but I am not stupid! What a rip off.
The woman in the travel department who took passport photos for our 9-year-old and 4-year-old was very kind and helpful. Our kids are shy and she made them feel at ease. We got our passport photos for free since were AAA Plus members. She said that each paid member gets 4 per year.
Had car’s oil changed today. The drip pan started dragging after driving on the Interstate for about an hour. Poor quality and will not return to this location.
4 and half hours to do an oil change and mount 4 tires with an appointment! Promised to get me in and out quick. Staff is polite and prices reasonable. But I wont come back to this location. I dont have time for that. I originally gave 3 stars despite this bad experience. The manager contacted me, apologized, and offered to mail a coupon for a free oil change. 2 months later still no coupon. Lowering review to 1 star for more empty promises.
I had a pre-scheduled appointment. I reached 10 minutes before the appointment time and checked-in my vehicle. I requested for a state inspection and I was asked to produce original Registration document. When asked why was that required (although I had it with me), I was told what if your cars VIN does not match. It was implying what if it is a stolen car. In the last few years of getting my state inspections done, I was never asked for a registration. I was offended by the comment but I still provided the document. After waiting in the waiting area for 30 minutes I asked when will the work begin on my car and I was told it would take another 1 hour since it was a busy day. So having come 10 minutes before the appointment time and having waited for 30 minutes already I was asked to wait for 60 minutes more. I immediately asked for the keys and left the facility. I felt like they wanted me to leave anyway. I dont think I will ever use this Apex AAA car care center again and will discourage all my friends to do so.
Jason and Patrick have been tremendous to work with. They have been responsive, friendly and incredibly helpful! They have personified customer service and we will continue to use them.A big thanks to both of them
We have been going there for inspections and oil changes on and off for several years, as it is close by. The service is usually courteous and relatively fast. They dont have a night dropbox. They push a little for extra services that arent necessary. We just had a poor experience for my sons oil change, so we wont be going back. They stripped the oil plug during the last oil change and they severely deformed it this time when trying to loosen it. They tried to charge us for a replacement plug. And they argued about the oil change coupon because we are not AAA members. That must be a new rule. I wonder why they mail us the coupons then.
Excellent service.
While the staff was very nice, they completely overcharged me for my service. Not only that, I was not called to authorize the price of the service beforehand. They tripled the retail price of the parts. Would/will not get my car worked on there again.
Excellent Experience! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Gia and Daniel took care of our needs in a timely fashion. Not sure what the previous persons issue was on his review, but we have dealt with Gia when she was at the Durham location for a long time and have followed her to the Apex location. Shes an asset to AA and we trust her with our cars
I did bring my Acura for service. They diagnosed the issue but because of warranty policy of AAA they could not replace it. Kind of disappointed but the owner was kind enough to send me a check for the full cost of the battery. Did not aspect such a quick response.Appreciate their gesture. Will go back for other services.
These guys are true professionals, shout out to Larry and Scott!
Everytime I try to go to this location, I make an appointment, and they do not even get the car in for 40 plus minutes. This is the 2nd time I have walked out without getting service. Why do they even bother taking appointments?Left there, went to Ford quick Lane in Apex, they got the car in the bay in 15 minutes (no appointment and they were busy) and done within an hour. NEVER going to this AAA location again!!!!😡
