Gary lied to me about the price for a sofa. Quoted me $1500 and said a table set and lamps came with it for free. I told him about our vulnerable situation and said I only wanted the sofa. He said it wasnt an option and that the table set was free anyway. I asked if that was the cheapest he had, $1500 for a sofa and he said yes. Turns out on the website the same sofa was for sale for $840, alone and it said it was in stock at the store. They were really gonna have us buy extra furniture we didnt want or need to boost their own sales. We would primarily do business with rent a center, but I will never rent from them again. Robert, James and Gary should be ashamed of themselves. You lost a family of loyal customers.
Lies and Deception! So I had my house broken into. They stole all my major Electronics. TVs and my playstation. The GM promised me if I brought in 500.00 and the police report it would satisfy the account. I bring in both.Two weeks later they are calling for a pmnt. I reminded him of our agreement. He flat out told me it didnt happen!! I guess if Lying to peoples faces is how you wanna do business go here. Sloppy dressing and Unprofessional is how they do business here!!
Its really hard to take a sketchy company like RAC seriously or give them the benefit of the doubt, when they proudly smoke outside the front of store...HOLDING THE DOOR OPEN 🤣 just in case you want your furniture to both look used, and smell like an ash tray
Probably the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I actually waited for some time to write this because they actually came to my apartment one day, which was a little scary and intimidating, and I was actually afraid to write a review. When I walked into the store for the first time they had the back door wide open and they were smoking right next to the opening. The smoke was coming into the store and it smelt horrible (there is also furniture in the store, so Im sure it stinks). I needed to rent a computer for school because mine had crashed during finals week, so I was pretty desperate. I was in a hurry to get some school work done, so I left as soon as I could. They were fast and nice for the most part for my first visit. Well the computer was awful, it was slow and kept crashing and freezing after a few minutes. I went back and told the guy ( I think he was the manager) I just wanted to get my money back because it wasnt working. He just ignored me and kept me waiting there for 30 min until he could find a way to make it work for the time being. He was very sketchy and rude, so again I left as soon as possible because I felt very uncomfortable. It was such a waste of time and money! But it doesnt end there...I returned the item on time, even before the return date. I gave it to a young girl and she said she would take care of it. After that the harassing phone calls and a visit to the apartment I was living in occurred ( I wasnt home they left a note on the door). Finally I called them back and asked them what they wanted. The guy was very rude and asked if I was ever going to return the computer, I told him I did and without apology just hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and creepy! Yeah there was miscommunication and I should have just followed my own instinct but to go to someones home is harassment and intimidation!
Im editing here. Having a tough time getting them to do what they said theyd do in picking it up. I called on Thursday and Robert said theyd get it on Monday. Monday I called and Gary said FRIDAY for which I said NO CAN DO. Got company here. Promised me hed get it this morning. Its almost 4 pm and no call, no pickup and Ive been stuck here all day waiting.
The members the team were inconsiderate and wanted to pick on me about not parking in their empty parking lot for more than a minute. I have a disability and they bullied me like I was in high school. They probably didnt make it through high school.

My washer broke a few months ago so I called around and looked online and ultimately decided on getting a washer and dryer through rent a center in bend. It’s been a nightmare. So far my washer has broken down twice on me and they have had to come move it out being a loaner in and then bring it back and take the loaner out. I have been offered no explanation on what is wrong with it they just keep saying it’s working fine and bring it back. On top of it if my life gets busy and I get there a couple days late they are charging astronomical late fee charges literally just for a couple of days. This entire experience has been awful and I would warn anyone considering buying anything through them to stay away ! I’ve paid too much in the set at this point I basically have to just finish paying for the machines and then sell them and buy something else. Complete nightmare . STAY AWAY from this business it’s the worst.
Very awesome store
We are returning products. They told us the wrong pick up day. We called them back and they cant wait 5 minutes for us to get home. We called the main office and they were very rude about their mistake. And made it our fault. They have lost a family of customers. And we have been going through them for ten years. We will be going through Aarons They need to be more like Aarons. They require their employees to work towards 9s and 10s. Obviously Rent A Center does not care about customer satisfaction like they do.

Sean and gary are wonderful. I get extentions on my payments to fit around my paydays. Whenever i want something new they deliver it same day for me..I will continue going through rent a center as long as gary and sean dont leave.
If you dont have to, just dont. I was supposed to be a message number only for my fiance. 3 times I gave them the correct numbers and owner of each number. As of today they have yet to make the corrections.I have repeatedly stated that calling me multiple times a day will get them nowhere. Today they called and explained that I am out of town and there is not an OnPoint or Wells Fargo location within 100 miles. Told them if I could get to one I would call in with a payment but otherwise we would be in Tuesday. At the same time I told them that I wanted them to come up the sofa since the quality is not worth what we still owe. I was told they couldnt come pick it up for 2 weeks.(which was funny since he had just threatened to come pick everything up).3 hours later I got another call from someone else in the store. She said she was aware I had talked to him but she insists I make a payment today. I told her everything I had told him. She stated he was upset because he was trying to pick up the items but I wasnt home. Again rehashed that he had told me he couldnt do a pick up for 2 weeks. I asked to speak to the manager, Shawn, the only person in the store that shows any comprehension of customer service, I kid you not, the witch hung up on me. (Actually that is the 4th time one of them has hung up on me.)The thing is, I spent years in customer service. 10 years in real estate, four years in legal, and I never treated anyone the way these people treat me, even the people who threatened me. So no. I dont like bullies and I wont deal with it, especially since I am not even on the account, specifically since due to medical reasons, I cannot afford this kind of increase in heart rate.Seriously, if you can avoid using them, I would recommend to.
Horrible place. DO NOT BUY from them! rent a center same as cash is total bullshit, they will charge you hidden Service and appliances insurance fees weeks and monthly. To jack the price up.

After more than ten years of renting from them I have to say I am very disappointed in their communication and customer service. I dont think I will be renewing our contract. I had to block an afternoon out for a pick up and then they showed up a day early while I wasnt home .Called to find out why and was really disappointed in how that conversation went. They really need to get enough staff and work on communication.

I was a customer of Rent A Center in Bend for two years! I leased and paid off 6 items during that 2 yrs... I called for a 2 day extension and they told me no, they were coming to get my stuff today! Go for it fools, lll take my $400 elsewhere!
