Called and talked to Jim about a freezer. First he said he did not have any (I checked online and they did before I called). Then he asked if I wanted it today and I said yes. Then he said freezers are hard to come by.Then he said he could get one on Monday. I said thanks. I called another local retailer that sells freezers and they said they had one and I bought it over the phone. We went out and picked it up, stopped by the grocery on the way home and bought a turkey. Turkey is cold and freezer works great. We got a better freezer than Standard offered for $50.00 less. I guess Jim was wrong.

Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Cody from Standard TV & Appliances. He was respectful, polite, accommodating and a breath of fresh air. So great to see a young person with great work ethic and representing the company he works for. With all the frustration I have endured with my remodel, all the NOs I have heard, Cody was positive and more then willing to go the extra mile for me. Really appreciate this young man!

I have been doing business with Standard since they opened up in Bend. Every appliance I own has come from there. This last year has been challenging for all of us and I have read the reviews posted lately. I want everyone to know that Lisa was amazing to work with to purchase my new washer and dryer. She went above and beyond to make sure I bought what I wanted and that they could deliver immediately. When I called about delivering my set Michael was great! I just purchased a washer and dryer from Standard. I had ordered the same W/D from both Best Buy and Home Depot. Both times I cancelled the order to honor my local sales rep. The first time he was wrong about the date I could get them. Then they showed up two days ago slightly damaged. I called customer service and spoke to a lady named Sarah. She literally never said...I am so sorry or what can I do for you. she told me to refuse the delivery and by the way, the units are backordered so I cant tell you when you will ever get them again.I have not had a W/D for almost 8 weeks and Standard would not let me accept the goods and then replace them when a new order comes. Or set out someone to replace the dented panel.Sadly, I will now go with the box store next time.

In December 2020, I contacted Jenn-Air to get a downdraft stove fixed for my tenant. The only authorized agent for Jenn-Air is Standard TV apparently, so I contacted them. On January 6, 2021, they looked at the stove and got the parts ordered. Over the course of the last 4+ months, the service department has been indifferent and dismissive. The rude treatment has been a real pleasure, and all we have tried to do is get this stove fixed. Today, they called to get payment, which is all they seem to care about. Stove still isnt fixed and after I gave them my CC info, then she hung up. I called back and Shelly answered. I asked Shelly who it was I was just speaking with but she would not tell me and put me hold. If I treated folks in this manner, I wouldnt want you to know my name either. Eventually, I got the info requested, it was Alicia. Her co-worker then stated she needed the same info again, and that Alicia had gone to lunch. Good stuff!I still do not know if they actually called the tenants to schedule a time to complete the repairs. Over the past 20 years, we have built and remodeled nearly 100 homes in Oregon, and have spent a significant sum with Standard TV & Appliance. Today we spent our last dollar!!

I wouldnt even give them any stars but had to to leave a review.currently they have an ad on tv for Bosch dishwashers for $999. My wife went in last Friday to see about buying one and they dont have any, the sales representative wouldnt even check his computer to see when they were expected to receive them, she said it felt like she was bothering them. I no times are tuff but I feel customer service still goes a long ways. Will not be going back for any appliances here We have bought alot of appliances from them in the past but not anymore.bothering them

I am so disappointed with the treatment I have gotten from Standard. We have been customers for over 20 years, and have always had good luck dealing with them...until now.We bought a refrigerator and it was delivered. Set up was so so, had to reinstall some shelves, and the whole unit appeared crooked. We noticed the freezer drawer wouldn’t close all the way, there is a dent, and it makes LOUD noises. I called our sales person who shuffled us off to service.The service guy came out and said the noises were probably normal, even we had this same model in our last house, and it was much quieter! He said he needed to order a drawer rail part for the not closing issue. That was over a month ago. Now I don’t get my calls answered or returned.Before this I would have recommended Standard, but now will not. We are redoing our kitchen soon and we’re going to buy all our appliances here, but not now. Hope they step up and fix improvement replace it soon. This was a fairly expensive unit and they don’t seem to care at all.

I had THE most incredible service and experience. From the start in Jan 2021 Jase helped my select a washer-dryer and refrigerator. Gary in the Portland location communicate regularly with updates on delivery. When I needed to exchange a product 48 hours before delivery, Mike the location mgr and Lisa did their magic to fulfill that change with compassion. Even got a better deal. Finally in delivery day Justin, Tra and Cody were prompt to deliver, took great care in moving items into a new construction home and were a super helpful explaining the products to me once again. I will never, ever purchase another product from this company. I would give zero stars if I could. I bought a fridge for a rental property during the height of the pandemic when supply chains were a mess. Standard had the only fridge that would fit that could be delivered the same week and since the old fridge died, I didnt have a lot of options.The fridge was delivered and the freezer handle was broken. The techs tried to reattach it only to have it come off in my tenants hands. I called customer service 2 days later and the saga begins.The fridge was delivered on July 28. I called July 30. Then I called again, and again. Finally, they got a tech out there to look at the door and sure enough, it wasnt repairable. So a new door was ordered. Or so they said. After 6 weeks, I went into the store and my sales rep looked up the order said it could take up to 9 weeks. 12 weeks later, I called again. No one could find a record of a door being ordered. WHAT? So I called again, they were going to call the store manager about giving me the door from the model on the showroom floor. Theyd call me back. They didnt. I called again. Its like these people dont have a customer relationship management system to track service requests or something. Again, I explain my situation, they say theyll have to talk to the parts department, theyll call me back. Nothing.At the end of December, exactly 5 months after the fridge was installed, I finally spoke to a lovely woman named Pam who genuinely sounded like she wanted to help me. Shed track it down and get the door ordered. Another call to Pam and still nothing. Finally, in the middle of February after several more calls directly to Pam, we have a door. But no one called to schedule the installation. So I call Pam and then by some miracle someone called me and we scheduled the installation of the replacement.Dont get your hopes up. They came to install it. Guess what. The door was made incorrectly and could not be installed. Its a good thing my tenants are so understanding. There are no words to describe what a frustrating comedy of errors this situation is.That was a week ago. I called Pam. She said shed look into it. A week has gone by and nothing. Trying to get a replacement door for a $2000+ French door refrigerator has become a 2nd job.If I supported my customers the way this company does, Id be out of business.Shop elsewhere!

We ordered 3 new appliances for the kitchen. We scheduled installation and when they arrived, they installed one. We had a small issue with a cabinet that would take 10 minutes to resolve. They then said they couldnt wait and had to move to the next customer - leaving two appliances uninstalled. They said someone would call to schedule completion. No one called. After a week. I wrote a letter to ask for my money back on the installation. IThree weeks passed and still no call and no refund. I called and talked to a manager. They said they would issue a refund that day. Still no refund. I called again a week later and they said they would follow up with accounting on the refund - still no call back. Finally, a few days later, I got the refund on the installation charge.I had to make other arrangements to get the appliances installed.good luck......

We were looking for 2 refrigerators and two dish washers. We looked like only ones in store and the guy that helped us was borderline rude. He wouldn’t really let us ask questions and was rushing us around like he wanted to be gone. It was Friday and he said he couldn’t get us a quote until Monday, and then never ever followed up! Another appliance place in town got us a quote in about 15 mins after helpfully answering questions and explaining things. I won’t be going back, very bad experience. The guy that helped us should not be in sales!!

I’m giving this 1 star because I am unable to rate this company any negative stars. We ordered a dishwasher, through the rental company, over the summer. In November they came, about 8:30pm, but didn’t have the right equipment. They left and said they would be in contact, which they weren’t. The rental company then set up another delivery for a date in early December, to which nobody came or contacted anyone. When they were asked about this they said the dishwasher was left with us during the last visit, unfortunately, it wasn’t as the guys took everything. Then, when they were told of this we were notified it “went missing from inventory and don’t know what happened to it.” Now it’s January and they are supposed to come again today. Just found out that they have no record of this delivery. Or at least the sales rep hasn’t told anyone about it. This is a ridiculous situation and my husband and I have each lost pay because we’ve had to take off from work 3 different times to be here and nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We missed a window with them on getting a home unlocked and immediately contacted them back. Their staff or contracted party was 10 minutes away from the house and they refused to go back. In todays world customer service goes a long ways and even though we have used them before, todays attitude will have us going else where.

I had extended text conversations with an online sales expert and am so appreciative for the level of caring and information I received.The delivery folks were respectful and decent and really went above and beyond what I had expected. I loved working for Standard until it was bought by 3 or 4 partners, it is sad but I would not like to work with this company again. It changed in a blink of an eye, management that I had worked for since my 1st day, changed and it became a place that I could no longer smile while at work. At a company wide meeting, the new owners told us that we would still have our jobs, only to get a notice of termination, along with several of my co-workers, just as we were approaching the Christmas holidays! Something that did not change, was some very nice people worked there!

There was a slight missunder standing as I thought it would be arriving this week and thats why I paid a little bit more than it would have cost at home depot. But it seems it will end up getting here at the same time as Home Depot would have.

We recently bought 4 appliances from Standard for just under $7000,. Below is a summary of everything that has happened in the past 3 months regarding this purchase. To say this has been a fiasco is an understatement. It took no less than 5 deliveries before the correct dishwasher was installed over a 3 month period. In addition, communication has been dismal, promises not kept, and many hours of my time have been wasted.The details: we bought a range, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave on 10/30/20. They were delivered the following week but the dishwasher that had been put on the truck was the wrong color so it was sent back for the correct one (no problem, I understand things happen). A couple weeks later, they called to say that the new one was ready to be delivered and I stayed home from work for the installation. The installers pulled out our old dishwasher, and brought in the new one. As they prepared to put it in, I noticed it was the right color, this time, but the wrong model. The installer said it would likely be the next day or two when the correct dishwasher could be installed, and I felt bad having him have to re-install our old one so I said leave it out (I figured we can go a couple days w/out a dishwasher). Upon talking w/my salesman later that day, I regretted this decision, since he said the earliest we could get the correct one installed was 10 days. I was pretty upset at this point, since now I had a giant hole in our kitchen w/no dishwasher and a family of 4. So I decided Id tackle installing my old dishwasher myself. I got it done, but it took me about 3 hours on my day off. At least we had a working dishwasher! At this point, my salesman apologized, and said hed be crediting my account four the dishwasher installation charge ($149.97). A nice gesture for a frustrating situation. A few weeks later, they showed up with the third dishwasher to install. This time, it looked like the right one! Sadly, after the installation, we discovered it was missing the upper utensil rack like the one in the showroom. Turns out, theres a model without that feature, and thats what we got. Our salesman was contacted again, and he said theyd order the right one. At this point, I had not seen the credit for installation, as promised. My salesman now said that there was a rebate that became available from the manufacturer and that they were going to use that as my credit for the installation--basically Standard was not giving me a credit, I was just getting a rebate that should be due to me anyway! I also never got updated by Standard on when I would receive the correct dishwasher. I finally called customer relations who said they would deliver the right one Jan 2. When the installers pulled up with the new dishwasher, they uninstalled the old one, then discovered the new one is damaged! Once again, they reinstalled the old one and we waited again. On the 5th attempt at getting the correct dishwasher we finally got the right one.Given the number of hours I wasted regarding this purchase, I would NEVER recommend this business. I sent an email to the store manager yesterday to ask about the credit for the installation charge, and have not heard back. Frankly, I dont expect to, given the follow up so far and Im ready put this behind me.I waited this long to write the review since I hoped for a better resolution and dont like to jump to conclusions, but at this point Id like to let others know what to expect if you shop at this store.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone was so kind and helpful but the star of the show was Alyssa. She handled our complex appliance situation with ease, suggesting products with a range of prices to fit our needs without pushing for any option over the other. She ended up saving me an incredible amount of headache and money too while offering thoughtful consideration of the situation we had. Id recommend this chain and location to anyone in the area. If you value a personal touch and dealing with folks who know about the products they sell this is the place for you. The big box stores cant compete with a business like this on service. The showroom is beautiful and uses the floorspace adequately offering ample choices without crowding. They also offer very reasonably priced warranties, delivery and install. Totally satisfied and they clearly go above and beyond for the customer.

We had a dryer go out on us and needed a new one as quickly as possible. Of course it was during the start of COVID-19, so we made the purchase over the phone with a sales rep. We were told both the washer and dryer we wanted were in stock and would be delivered that week. A day later, we were contacted and told there were no washers in stock and it would be a week before one would arrive. It has now been 6 weeks and we have NO washer. And we received NO updates/communication from the store. We did however receive a text alerting us to a delivery and we waited around all day (rearranged work and appointments) only to have nothing delivered. Apparently it was a hold in case one DID come in. Yet no one explained that to us. The salesman we have worked with has been less that helpful and not the friendliest when we have called to try and obtain updates. We bought all new kitchen appliances earlier this year and there was trouble with delivery as well. We no longer will be shopping with this company.The one place I have heard of that DOES have good response is the Better Business Bureau. In reading the other 99 reviews, it appears my issue is not an isolated experience. Might give them a try......

Standard is going through a COVID scare but still managed great customer service helping us with an issue. Got a new washer/dryer and when installed turned it to be the wrong models! But Jace and customer service team were quick to help and get the issue resolved in a very satisfactory way!

Looked for freezer and Bend was sold out. Asked Standard via message and there were none that were what I wanted. Several days later I received a text asking if I was still interested and they had one that was very close to what I wanted. Linda found what wanted and flowered thru! I’m very happy with my freezer!

Sales person was very helpful in purchasing a stove . However, we were promised a delivery date which didnt materialize. Called and rescheduled another time which also didnt occur. Third try and we finally had thestove installed. All of this was of great inconvenience for us as we had scheduled a graduation party and had no way of cooking. The salesperson did reimburse us for installation charges and we do appreciate that.

Among the worst and most disappointing customer service experiences weve ever had. Two years ago, we came to Standard Appliance because our families had been purchasing from them for years. We wanted to support a local shop vs going to Best Buy or Costco. We were wrong. The initial purchase of our Kitchen Aid refrigerator was plagued with misinformation, poor service and flawed installation. After several weeks, we finally got the unit installed and working. 3 months later, the ice maker failed. We called Standard and they said in short, Not our problem; go to Kitchen Aid to solve that. What we later learned is that Standard does not stand by any of the brands they sell. They are simply a sales warehouse with no post purchase customer service or accountability if you run into a problem. We of course called Kitchen Aid and got nowhere. We asked Standard for help; they declined. $3,500 later, we ended up with a new refrigerator that worked for 3 months and no viable recourse with either Standard or Kitchen Aid. Insult to injury, most of Standards customer service personnel were either rude, poorly informed or both. We strongly recommend avoiding Standard for your appliance purchases and if you do proceed, ensure that you understand your products warranties and post purchase customer service options. Standard will not be there for you.

Placed an order for a Fridge in early November and was told they would have 4 units delivering by the end of the month. I didnt need it for several weeks after that so great. Ordered it. Check in at the end of the month, delivery is pushed a week into December. Still ok for me. Call again on the delivery day, pushed out another week. ok, so it will be tight but should be able to get it shortly after moving in. Call again to check in after supposed delivery. Still another week out. Ok great now my delivery time table has been missed and the sale price is no longer valid at any other retailers in town. Cool, thank you guys kind of screwed me. Two weeks after moving it, still another two weeks out plus probably cant deliver until after the new year. Absolute joke in terms of managing orders. I cancel the order with the sales guy and he says sorry we couldnt get the fridge for you, Ill turn this over to accounting to get refunded. 10 days go by, no refund. try contacting sales guy, zero response. Call accounting apartment next day, order was NEVER CANCELLED. What an absolute joke of a store. Never once gave me any updates or followed up. I had to constantly hound them for updates. Never was given a sales order or receipt for my purchase. and then the sales guy sits on the order? What was he trying to make his end of year numbers? Never ever Standard. They have burned up any goodwill I was willing to afford them and then some.

We purchased all of our appliances 5 years ago, with no issues. What has changed with this company? Ordered a new stove, an induction stove. They are not cheap. I had no issues waiting for 90 days for the stove to come in. Finally got the stove installed, what a nightmare. 1. Failed to install the trim piece. 2. Scratched my cabinet and fridge. 3. Scratched the top of the stove with their carrying straps. 4 Poor customer service. I had to call them 5 times, finally got to the store manager. He knew about all of the issues, so why didnt someone call me back? They are going to replace the top of my stove. But no we are sorry about all of the scratches on my fridge and cabinets. I will not be purchasing any more appliances from Standard TV and Appliance.

I received an emailed price quote from them and when writing back to order I received no response. I called the local standard and they have no idea about the information I received telling me its incorrect pricing and gave me a price $200 more. I tried calling the saleman and it goes straight to voicemail even though he is supposed to be working today. I started messaging with someone else and was told a cost of $300 more. I am so glad that no one can give me a price and they cant honor the original offer I have in writing.

My family and I ordered a dishwasher at least 5 months! They keep make up excuses and saying that it disappears from inventory. Our family has taken days off of work or make sure when it will be delivered. This is insane! We are sick and tired of washing the dishes by hand!

We bought a washer/dryer set on the upper end of the price range - Maytag - commercial grade front load high capacity. We also purchased the extended warranty and set up delivery. Sales staff was good.Received a call from Standard that delivery would be delayed due to a staffing issue.Strike one.We decided to pick them up and install them ourselves. No biggy, all went well. All was level, etc.Washer is terrible! Mold in soap dispenser after less than a month. Clothes stink, even though we clean washer as recommended monthly and leave front door open when not in use. Clothes come out very wrinkled, sometimes tied in knots! Strike two.Dryer is beyond LOUD, much louder than it should be. Rattles like crazy. I have spent hours now on the phone (hold times of 20 minutes, no exaggeration) with Standard trying to get their service dept to get this handled. My wife called in October and as it was unfortunately on a weekend, a sales worker attempted to google answers, getting nowhere. Made a formal request for service on 11/24. Today is 2/2, two local repair shops failed to even show up, a third fella arrived (beyond kind - will only work with him) and diagnosed that we need a new motor.... Strike threeThe biggest issue, Standard has no local service dept and pushes you to Portland. We wanted to just exchange the set but a three month window wouldn’t allow. I’ve been down the road with their Customer Relations Department, again No luck.In our 28 years of marriage, this is by far, the worst appliance purchase of our lives, we should have purchased at Costco, they stand behind their products!No more Standard for us, EVER!

Then we were promised replacement appliances for 5 MONTHS but never ever got our order after being promised delivery time and time again.This company deserves to go out of business.

Take your money elsewhere! We refused a delivery for an item that was damaged on 8/23. Since that time Ive called to get my money back 3 times, each time being told the order was cancelled and the return should post within a day. The return has still not been made. Absolutely terrible service!

My aunt wanted to share the great experience she had with TJ Gaskins at Standard TV & Appliance yesterday. Her refrigerator broke during a power outage, and she lives remotely. She called quite a few repairman as well as new appliance companies and no one was willing to come out for a repair or deliver where she lives. Standard was not only willing to sell their display model (last one in stock!) to her but they also made the exception to deliver outside of their normal delivery area. Amazing customer service!!

The sales staff are knowledgeable and professional and they seem to have appliances for all price ranges. The best part of our experience with the Bend store is the awesome installation guys. Bought a microwave, worked for about a month, then stopped. Standard doesn’t replace or fix, because it is under warranty. That was many months ago. Finally got someone to look at it, parts ordered, and in another month apparently it will be fixed. The whole warranty thing has been a complete fiasco. Wanted to keep business locally, but can not recommend.

I did not have a good experience purchasing a refrigerator. They were happy to take my money and downhill from there. Poor follow up communication on damaged fridge. Outsourcing repair is a fiasco. I do not recommend this establishment.

I purchased a new stove and refrigerator in June of 2020 and it took them two months for Standard to deliver them to my condo in Sunriver. Three days later the refrigerator stopped working. Unbelievable, two months to deliver the product and three days for it to break down. This is the fist purchase i have made from Standard and it will be the last.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Standard TV in Bend Oregon. We have purchased many appliances and electronics over the years, and the process has always gone smoothly. When we remodeled our kitchen, they even beat the appliance prices I got from Lowes! Recently, I purchased an adjustable bed frame, and the sales associate, Alyssa Graeber, was so helpful and knowledgeable. She really made the whole buying experience pleasant. The delivery staff was also superb.

My wife and I had a great experience buying a French Door Fridge from Standard today. Damon was super helpful and knowledgeable, which is a nice change from all of the other big box stores that have employees with little to no knowledge base (if you can get one). They matched the price from the competition on the fridge that we were looking for and also matched the free delivery. So much happier supporting a OR/Bend business and keeping the money local. Looking forward to using them again for any future appliance needs that we might have.

I wish I had read all these bad reviews before purchasing from Standard TV and Appliance. The terrible customer service started with the receptionist who put me on hold for many minutes. When I finally got to Nick, we had a pleasant conversation but after that he was never there again to return my calls, either it was his day off or he was not available . I then talked to Mark who was nice enough to take my order on July 5, give me a date for installation, July 21 and then will give this info to Nick No return calls from Nick and no word from Nick or anyone after July 5. The day before July 21, since I had heard nothing since July 5, I called to confirm the installation the next day. The receptionist apparently saw my order and then put me on hold for another many minutes. Back on the line, she tells me my appliances would be not installed the next day because the installers are on vacation next week Rescheduled for August 1. Got a call the day before August 1 saying had to be moved to August 3. I think it was Connie ? in scheduling who was very nice but told me that the installers were never on vacation but that they just didnt put you on the schedule Soooo, the ONLY reason I am giving this a one star is that Chris, the installer deserved a 5. He was punctual, pleasant, did an excellent job and appeared to be very responsible. He informed us that he is the ONLY installer for Standard TV and Appliance in Central Oregon. We were amazed at his workload. I too, after being a customer for years, will not be purchasing from them again.

We went in a few weeks before we were to move in to our house and ordered a fridge. The man that helped us said that the fridge we wanted had back order problems so he was glad we were there right then because there were a few left in their warehouse that he could put our name on it. We paid for it and set a delivery date and walked out. Well, on the day it was set to be delivered, we called them and they were very confused because there was no record of a fridge being delivered to us. They were on back order and couldnt get us one for a few weeks. The two people we talked to that morning (when we had to call back because no one could give us a straight answer or know what was going on), we finally decided to cancel our order and went with Home Depot who did an amazing job, got us a fridge 3 days later, and Home Depot had a wonderful delivery service.

After spending well over $20,000 with standard TV and appliance including a TV, Bed, full kitchen for a new home and appliances to finish off a second home we had a dryer handle break. A simple part that couldn’t be more than a few dollars but we can’t get into our dryer. First they had our address wrong and couldn’t even find our purchase and then when I asked for Service in Bend where our second home is we were told our unit was only a few months out of warranty and they don’t even service this area. Last time I spend a dime with standard TV, when my four places and other properties are ready for appliances I will be going anywhere but here. For more than $20,000 in purchases and many more to come you would think they would help me open my 1 year and a few month old dryer. Customer NO SERVICE!

Worst customer service ever. If you need any further assistance or information about an order and the original sales person is not there then your on your own. Lisa will be happy to bounce you around on permanent hold instead of trying to help. Seems to me the sales staff is missing the point. Good customer service brings in more sales. I am a counter top fabricator that refers people on where to shop for appliances. Standard use to be my go to place but after todays treatment I will have to rethink that. Thanks customer no service Lisa for making things clear. By the way I install four kitchens a week thats four less customer I will refer. per week. This inst a one time rant from a one time experience this is every time I need information after the sale.

Standard has raised the standard for appliance warranty work. I initially had some scheduling and communication issues with one of the outfits who respond to Samsung repair requests from customers. Standard is always there to authorize parts and provide whatever information is needed by the service responders to get them to the customer sites as soon as they can. Great Job Standard

My Dryer quit so I called every store I could think of for a cheap price on a dryer and Standard Tv & Appliance were the only store who told me to wait until their new sale which starts in a few days because their cheapest dryer will be even cheaper when their new sale starts! We needed to replace an over the range microwave with a wall mounted range hood that could not only fit the 6 microwave ducting but also had mounting requirements that fit the space available. I chose Standard because they carry many of the pro range hood brands like wolf, viking and zephyr. However, most of the pro models, it turns out, require 10 ducting. The salesman only wanted to sell us a range hood, any range hood, not one that would work best for our situation. And he didnt seem that knowledgeable about the possibilities. To sum up, Standard might be a good place to buy an appliance that youve already researched but if you need practical information, go elsewhere.

The microwave has only had to be repaired once, refrigerator 3 times, dishwasher more times I can count, stove 3 times, washer and dryer I gave up on and purchased elsewhere. Fighting constantly to get things repaired. Dont believe the sales person who swears youll have excellent service.

Just a word of caution. We purchased a full suite of kitchen appliances from Standard TV & Appliances. Two of the four items arrived damaged. The lesson we learned is make the delivery guys wait while you open and inspect every box. Dont accept damaged goods. Dont accept their verbal assurances that they will make everything right. Its been three months since delivery, repair parts are back-ordered, no remedy in sight for us. I so wish that I had gone elsewhere.

Horrible Customer service. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Purchased a microwave there that wouldnt mount properly. Find out that there is a part that was just missing from the unit (was never put in the casing by who ever put the microwave together.) Microwave is out of parts warranty, we waited too long to discover this issue so that is on us. Call in tell the parts department what is wrong, they want $27 for the missing part (fair enough) and then $200 to do a service call to put that part in. Seriously $200 for a service call on a $225 microwave? Apparently we cant bring the microwave in to save on the service call. We bought a stove top there with the microwave which we paid to have installed by their professional installers. If a $27 part (which was simply not put into the unit when purchased) is enough to turn away repeat business then ask yourself why you would buy from this store?

What a horrible experience!! I will never buy from them again, and I will advise ANYONE to not do so. They have policies and loopholes so in the end the customer gets robbed.I purchased a microwave about a year ago on July 4th 2015, and got the service plan because I considered it a good deal. 75 for 5 years ( what could go wrong) ( I do not ever buy it for ANY items, I do not why I did for this item) when I purchased the microwave the gentleman that sold it to me said that I could use a rack that comes with the microwave just fine I thought it was weird but I figured if it comes with it I guess it has a purpose, I thought man that is good technology!!Total of the microwave was $300 plus $75 service plan.Flash forward.Microwave died exactly a year later July 3rd 2016, I went into the store to see if there is anything I could do. They said you are good to go- You got the service plan. I thought nice, they will come out and check it out. And here is where everything makes a turn for this 1 star review.Service guy took a few days to get home and take a look at it. When he got home he looked at it and said the metal rack burned it. We told him that the salesman mentioned you could use it., and he said Yeah our salesman sometimes dont even know what you can or cant use with the microwave they tell people the wrong info all the time .So the people that work there fumble the ball, and tell customers misleading info, was bad enough to create this rant, but I figured I will move on and get a new one, I do not have time to be dealing with this, AND Here is the straw that broke the camels back.Today 7/18/2016 I received a call from one customer service rep that says there is a charge of $87 for the service call, and I am responsible because I had the rack inside the microwave. I explained to the guy the salesman said it was OK to use when he sold it to me.I guess we will be seeing you in court, cause I am not paying that service call. I lost $375 on a microwave and, now they want to charge me $87 you gotta be kidding me!!On a side note, the service guy mentioned that I could call the customer service lead and she was going to work something out for a new one, but do you honestly believe that I would spend my money on that place ever again !!!!!!!!I already moved on and got a new one, but I am leaving this review so other people STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE!!

We bought a Maytag refrigerator just over a year ago. We bought the 5 year warranty but it doesnt appear to be worth anything. I have made at least 4 calls to Standard service but cant get a person to answer the phone. We have what I think is a minor problem but we paid for service we cant receive. Our future appliance purchases will be made at a store that cares for its customers. Shame on Standard!Two years have passed & our refrigerator is properly repaired. It took the technician 4-5 visits but he did finally get the job done. We are now fully satisfied.

I dont know what this other guys is talking about, the service department is so kind and so hard working. As far as the appliances, pick a good manufacturer. I have standard do all my appliances, they always fit me in even when they are booked all day. Every appliance I have is level and put perfectly into place. They install all the appliances at my apartments, and I couldnt ask for more professional service. As far as many other places in this town, laziness and lack of training is all to common. With Standard I always get 100% effort. I wouldnt trust anyone else in my home.

Horrible customer service! Purchased a wash machine from Standard just over a year ago and the door just broke off. Thats fine, I just want it fixed. Could not get anyone to answer the phone for service for over a week at both the Bend and Portland offices. So I went in and they told me to call the number that I had been calling. Then they said all that they could do is put in an online request and that I should hear back in 24 hours. Now, weeks later, I havent heard anything. I have also left many messages and no returned phone calls. This is a terrible way to treat your customers and I will not buy from Standard again.

We stopped at the store to shop for all of our kitchen appliances, we are having a Hiline home built and there is only one person that you can talk to in the store that knows anything about it. This was our 3rd time in and the person wasn’t there for us to order them. A sales person said we needed to make an appointment, we live in Southern Oregon and can’t just make a 7 hr trip in hopes to be helped. We will shop elsewhere!! Out of all the sales people there, only one that knows anything about the kitchen packages we need. Poor service!!

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!NOV 14 Significant other (SO) & I purchased appliances from Damon. He said washer/dryer should be in next day, dishwasher in stock, will check on stove unit. Gave discount on delivery, (but still being charged for delivery & access.) Hes aware of our broken/breaking appliances. He asked if Id like them to open and inspect appliances before delivery to be sure everythings good. Its free. I said yes.NOV 20 Hadnt heard from anyone. Called to inquire as washer is mostly dead, dishwasher still held together by bolt. Damon said they all came in. Didnt offer info as to when stove arrived or why nobody called. He said someone had cancelled a delivery so can be delivered next day. Will call between 9-10am. Said theyd call one number and if unable to reach would try other number (both SO’s and my numbers are in their system and on the paperwork.)NOV 21 Sat with phone from 8:50-9:10am. Called Standard. Receptionist said they have delivery scheduled between 12-3pm. Said someone shouldve called, maybe they couldnt get ahold of me. Assured her that wasnt possible.(Turns out they called SO’s number (he was asleep) and they gave up.)* Later that day, appliances delivered, requested inspection not done, still sealed. Had them take away old washer and stove (big mistake). SO installed washer and dryer. Started test wash, washer made grinding noise. Sound didnt stop. Paused wash & called Standard & spoke with service department. Explained issue, described noise, & offered to send video. She said she needs to schedule service, and will email video to service guy. Will call me between 8-10am next morning. She said if the issue is user error, we charge a service fee. I stated that I wasnt okay with that after spending $5,000 ($500 of which is for extended warranty because I assumed theyd be better to deal with than manufacturer.) She didnt have any useful input just repeated that the only way Id be charged is if Id messed up. She stated that she understood my frustration with the holidays coming up and I wanted my appliances. I said yes, Im frustrated and need my washing machine to work, but Im upset with the customer service especially after giving them so much money.* Called later and spoke with receptionist (Shelly). Told her I want my money back for the warranty because I dont want to deal with them in the future. After explaining, she was very empathetic and said shed escalate it as what I told her didnt sound correct.* SO looked closely at washer dryer hookup & determined that an alternative hookup piece was missing and we needed it. Called to update that. Shelly had someone drop that off, and he installed it. Working well. (Shelly and service guy were VERY helpful.)* SO started on stove, still working on it when I went to bed.NOV 22 Stove mostly installed, grates not on it. Noticed it was making a loud buzzing noise. Went to work.* At work, SO called. Two left grates for stovetop, no right grate. (This stove only uses two, meaning we only have two out of four usable burners.) I called, Talked with Travis, the store manager. Hell talk with his assistant manager and send someone out. Travis didnt believe we had two left grates & was quick to point out most of the issues were mistakes by OTHER departments. He also told me Shelly shouldnt have tried to fix things herself. I informed him that shes been the only person Ive spoken with whos made me feel like a valued customer.* SO called. Peter, assistant manager heard the loud buzzing and agreed its not supposed to do that AND yes, we received two left grates. Will order grate & schedule. service.DEC 1 Repairman came out. (SO home, I wasnt) Noise is from a defective board. Didnt have the needed grate. He called store & spoke with Peter, who told him that he never ordered it. Repairman ordered the grate and replacement board.DEC 16 They dont know where the grate is, and said theyll charge a restocking fee if we return the stove.

Update: I am updating my rating because of the repair personnel, sales staff (more on that to follow), Kelly with customer affairs, and the delivery personnel. Well we got the fridge fixed again right before Thanksgiving, only for it to fail Thanksgiving night (that was fun). Fixed again by the great repair guy, and it failed again. The repairman (whose name I cant remember) immediately contacted customer service affairs (or something similar) and got us in touch with Kelly (sp?). We had a store credit that evening for the original purchase price, which was finally great to get, and we got a credit for lost food.We showed up at the store and told the salesman who we were and all that. He pulled up our credit and took us shopping, and here comes my gripe. He immediately walked us over to a $3400 fridge, after knowing our credit was for $2500, it just kind of was in bad taste in my opinion. I get it, he is a salesman, but cmon. Anyways, he ended up helping us find a fridge and got us a good deal. It was delivered the next day but their two outstanding delivery guys who did a great job.I will still say that our experience with the repair dispatcher in Portland will most likely keep us from returning to Standard, that and their prices are on the high side for some things. I like to support small businesses and they have some great staff at Standard, but our experience will be hard to overlook when it comes time to choose a place to buy a new washer and dryer.Original review: We purchased a refrigerator from this business in February 2013. The initial purchase was of course fine, as can be expected when spending $2500 on a fridge and extended warranty (thankfully we bought that).During the first year of ownership, service was out three times to repair the fridge, twice an ice maker another time some sort of cooling issue. The service was quick and easy, no complaints there, was actually pretty happy with Standard at that time. The fridge problem was not Standards issue, although I was upset my expensive fridge was having issues that quickly.Fall of 2015 saw our freezer fail completely in late September. Lost all of our food in our freezer and the wait time for service was TWO WEEKS. We had a small backup fridge and freezer, so not too big of a deal. While waiting for service, the fridge fails completely, and lost the food in there as well. So when service finally shows up, he had to order a part that took another two weeks, and he could not guarantee it would fix the fridge saying it was a 50/50 chance. The part arrived, and the service worker could not make our originally scheduled time as he was too busy. Was mad about this because I took time off work to accommodate them. He showed up two days later (October 25), and three hours later left, saying the fridge was fixed. He stated if it failed again, to call him and he would come back out.Well the fridge failed within 8 hours, and we tried to get ahold of service on October 26.It is now November 13th, and we still have no fridge or freezer and are waiting for service.Shelly who schedules service was rude to my wife, and tries to somehow blame us for this issue. Sorry we have jobs and lives that dont rotate around a refrigerator and your poor service. We even asked for a loaner fridge and were told no.Be warned, Standard will take your money (like any good business), and the customer/business relationship ends there. Our extended warranty promises a new refrigerator if it cant be fixed, and they are dodging around it.Their service windows are four hours long, and they missed one completely. They are telling us they are a month out for getting repairs done, and it is because they only have one repairman. They apparently forgot Bend is a small city and word travels fast, I dont know how a business like this can last.
