This shop is the most unorganized and unprofessional place I have ever done business. You show up for confirmed appointments and they either have no tech, or the tech is standing around running his moth instead of working. Or they can’t find your appointment at all. It’s always something. It’s definitely time I take my business elsewhere. Pepboys, you need to do better!

Now I know $1200 isn’t anything, in fact they never attended me to know I was ready to purchase. New set of tires. After being told I would be attended to, 15 minutes later I walked out and paid $1350 elsewhere. The extra $ was worth the warm welcome and excellent customer service e.

I lost hundreds of dollars because of this mechanic shop. I came in on Tuesday to get my brakes and rotors replaced at this location after a free brake inspection. This location spent hours doing the job once it was done I drove off. I had to return to this location twice to fix the poor job done by this location. The problem is still not fixed I have to return again tomorrow to try and get this issue resolved worst service ever. I took my car to another mechanic shop a day after the original service they showed me pictures of their brake inspection and they said the rotors already had hot spots after one day. I would definitely not recommend this location go somewhere else anywhere else.
Just avoid this entire chain at all costs. Theyre about the most inept company Ive ever seen. Bought tires, scheduled an appointment to have them installed, showed up at the scheduled time, and, surprise, they dont have them in stock. Nobody had looked to see, nobody even knew where they might be, and I can assure you, nobody bothered to let me know not to come.So, lets fast forward five hours to when I show up to my scheduled appointment... Mark, the store manager, has absolutely no clue whats going on. I mean, absolutely no idea. He has no idea if they have the tires (*spoiler alert, they dont...), he doesnt know where they are, he doesnt know what brand they are, Im not even sure he knows where he is. But sure enough, after looking for about ten minutes, he confirms that they dont have the tires they sold to me and scheduled to put on my car. He says that another store 30 minutes away has four and he can get them for me tomorrow, bit Im not in town tomorrow, so I ask whether I can drive up there now and have THEM install them. Of course I can because thats inconvenient. He calls to verify that they are indeed in stock, per my request, and youll never guess... Theyre not...So at this point, I ask him just to refund my money so I can go somewhere else. Mark informs me that he cant because I bought them online, and not surprisingly, he doesnt know who I should talk to to get a refund. He also tells me that its my fault he didnt have the tires they sold me and were supposed to install, because I should have called beforehand to make sure he had done his job right. He denied the fact that maybe HE should have checked his work orders for the day to make sure his staff could do their job. Hes just the service manager, hes too busy sitting around not knowing whats going on. But dont worry, he did assure me that this happens all the time, and if he had a dollar for every time [hes] had this conversation...Thanks, Mark and Pep Boys. Yall are true all-stars.

The hours of operation is confusing. On google and the website they are open on Sunday’s but when I call they are closed.
Call them before you go there. I took appointment and went there for oil change, they said they are unable to do it. They even did not call me to reschedule. It’s very unfortunate, I will not go there next time.

Ordered the Black Friday tire special buy 2 get 2 free, and selected the pay in store option which still reflected the special pricing. Once at the store, I was told the special had to be paid for the same day of order and isn’t honored otherwise which is so crazy because the website didn’t say anything about that or show a different price once I chose the store pay option. I was so mad once the checkout price showed $150 more than I originally expected to pay, but the manager honored the special even though he didn’t have to. Pep boys website should be clear regarding promotions or just require payment then and not the in-store pay option because pay could be different at the store. Thanks manager for your help

I was following instructions from the Carvana warranty guide to have something with the steering column and the transmission checked out. When I told whomever picked up the phone I wanted to bring it in with my girlfriend’s warranty, I heard him slam the phone and hang up. Not sure if y’all have a thing against Carvana or if this dude was just having a bad day but I just wanted to make sure my girlfriend wasn’t driving something that was about to break down again.
Horrible. From the front desk to the technicians! Front desk workers are extremely rude! Technicians are NEVER available. I purchased 4 BRAND NEW TIRES and one keeps loosing air. I return to this establishment more than once to be told no one is available to see what the problem is. What a waste! They may as well close down!

Excellent tire buying experience! From my initial call to Tina through the entire installation process they were friendly professional, and efficient. Everyone accommodated my very short timeline for getting the tires installed. The shop was clean and well-organized, and the lobby was comfortable with great coffee.I strongly recommend Pep Boys if you want a fair price, and a GREAT customer service experience.

My mom and I came here to have an oil change and 2 new tires. We are not patient people and we were both dreading having to wait around for this to be done. Well it was done in no time and the manager was really nice and and made sure we were updated with the time remaining. Everything was priced really good and he also offered us a road warranty on the new tires for a great price which was awesome. When we left we were talking about how great of an experience we had compare to usual garage visits. Highly recommend!

Good experience here. While they didn’t have the exact part needed to fix my busted valve stem, they tried several options and found one to get met back on the road. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful which is what made the experience so great. Will be back later this year to purchase new tires!

I am new in town and decided to give Pep Boys a try. I just went for an oil change, but I will definitely be returning if there is anything else I need done. The store manager was very nice and I loved the environment where I saw my car actually being serviced. I loved the waiting area and how they kept you posted on the stages on your car. Again, I loved the service and loved that they accepted coupons. It is good to know there is a company out there that you can trust with your car.

They took 3 hours for an oil change and inspection when I was the first to arrive and I also scheduled an appointment. Then after the incredibly long oil change was finished I go back to work. I notice the van is smoking from under the hood and it sounds different. I open the hood and they didnt put the oil cap back on.. Im no mechanic but even I know to remember to put the cap back on. Now Im going back and getting them to clean the oil off my engine and change the oil again and give me a new cap, and I wont ever use their service again.

This was my first time visiting Pep Boys, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had went to the local Honda dealership for another service, and they said my brakes were in immediate need of replacing. I am SO glad I sought a second opinion, because the tech at Pep Boys ran a complimentary screening to see if the brakes were indeed in need of repair and if so, an estimate on the cost. It took a brief few minutes, and the tech reported that my brakes looked practically new, no need to replace anything. I am incredibly thankful for their honesty and transparency, as it is a rarity to find an auto shop with scruples nowadays. Your actions did not go unnoticed. I will definitely be going back to this shop for any other car needs that come up, and recommending to friends in the area!
I had a slow leak in one of my tires. And I thought I needed a new tire which costed roughly $83.00 in all. But the mechanic guy looked at my tire found a nail I had raned over somewhere. And he fixed my tire back for me perfectly. And I only had to pay $12.00 for the fix. Thanks so much to the technician and Pep Boys 😊

EDIT: After my last visit at this location, I will not be taking my car back to any Pep Boys locations, ever again.I was a loyal customer, came here every time I needed an oil change. Last time I came, they told me I needed multiple things done to my car that would come out to around $1000. I opted to have them do my brake light that was out and change the windshield wipers. I then went to get a second opinion.There was nothing wrong with my vehicle. At all. I wouldve spent $1000 for no reason. And to top it all off, they NEVER REPLACED MY BRAKE LIGHT. They took out the bulb and left it empty.They smile and are polite, but this type of corruption is too much. I wont be back and BEWARE.___________________________________________________________________I have been coming to this location for the past six months due to the proximity to my home. Yesterday, I woke up to a car with a bad battery. After a stressful assessment from AAA, the quick trip to the local auto parts store, I was informed that I would need someone to install it who knew what they were doing. Pep Boys took me immediately and changed my battery out at no cost. Their customer service is impeccable and their prices are always reasonable. I will always trust them with my car and future service!
First off when I called to ask them questions about my car they were very informative and told me about the deals that they had going on! Second, when we got there approximately 30 minutes later he knew who I was(Pedro). They answered every question I had and they seemed to be very knowledgeable about the tired and services they did! The Manager Brandan White has no concern hes slow spent over and hour for an oil change and to put air in a tire and it still didnt have enough air. Why is he a store manager? A female change my oil after being there 2 hours cause there was no reason it should have took that long.

I had an amazing experience at Pep Boys on n tryon st! My brakes were in desperate need to be replaced (pads and rotors) due to my procrastination of getting the work done earlier. I went to pep boys and the manager Scott took such good care of me! The customer service I received was incredible. I work in the service industry and this is some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The parts they had for my car ended up being the wrong ones and the manager himself drove to another Pep boys on a busy Saturday morning to get the right parts for me. I did not wait long at all and the price was unbelievable! It ended up being less than what I was quoted. I am now a loyal customer to Pep Boys and will get all of my auto work done there. I would recommend them to any and everyone! Thank you guys so much for all of your help!

I bought tires online and went in on two separate days after I received an email saying they were ready for pick up. Before I went in the second time I called to make sure they had them and they had the wrong size. On top of that the wait time was long, employees dont seem to care at all, and almost all other customers that were there during my long waits had their own complaints as well. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND for anything!!
I scheduled an appointment for a simple oil change I waited in line it seemed to be busy only Genevieve at the front answering phone, receiving parts and checking people in and cashing people out. She didnt greet me but after about 10 min it was my turn she got my keys at 10:30a and at 11:45a my car was ready. I am irritated and hungry by now and then she tells me that the price had gone up and me trying not to go off I ask her how could they do the service with no signs or anything saying the price had changed. Genevieve saved my business with pepboys by giving me an impeccable price and apologized for the wait time and no one letting me know about the price change. I will be back.

Tires were not at store at the time of my appointment. Tire pressure sensor in one wheel stopped working between the time they took the old tires off and put the new ones on. Said it wasnt their fault, blamed the sensor. The only reason I dont give 1 star is the lady there was polite.

In August 2016 I purchased front and rear brakes from advanced auto but had pep boys install them. Two weeks later I call them back and let them know it was grinding. I was then notified it was not uncommon to have grinding with a brake job. The grinding never stops. My car was serviced today and the tech showed me the breaks and rotors. They are pretty much non existent. So I called pep boys and they told me not only was it not their problem but I did not have rear breaks out on. SO WHERE ARE MY NEW REAR BRAKES?
Doubled booked my appointment having me to reschedule or come in earlier. Once I got the there the uneducated receptionist told my car only takes synthetic motor oil this was a tactic to up charge me for a oil change. Watch out folks they like to push for those synthetic oil changes.

Worst service I’ve had at an auto place. I’ve been sitting here over an hour and they JUST started working on my car despite me only having 1 person ahead of me that was there for all of 15 minutes. It took them 20 minutes just to bring my car up afterwards and once they got it in they ignored my car to look at someone else’s who had walked in 10 minutes after me and talked with her for 20 minutes. I just gave birth and thought this would be a quick stop before I seen my baby in the hospital but this was ridiculous. Either hire more staff, or at least make sure the ones you do have work with purpose!
We got a flat and ended up having to change both the front tires and the suspension. The people working there were super nice, especially so early in the morning 😁 and they were actually open, unlike every other tire shop in the area when we broke down. Ended up being pretty expensive, but the customer service couldn’t have been better!
Worst place for vehicle service. Went on the day of appointment and I was told itll take few hours to get service. Then they rescheduled the service to next day. Went again on next day but 15 mins late. I was told I have to reschedule again for next day as I was late. Never going back to Pep Boys again.

The worst car experience Ive had in my entire like. As a loyal customer I had Been bringing my two cars to this location for oil changes, tires, and any and all maintenance issues I had been having with both of my cars. So once I needed new tires I didnt think twice as to where I would go. But I soon realize that this new staff was only there to take my money and then blame me for the problem not being fixed and then refused to help me or point me in the right direction to anybody who could help. My car was running perfectly fine before my new tires and Alignment. As soon as I drove it from the shop I could hear a loud scrapping noise coming from under the car. I took it back to the shop and they advised me it was my wheel bearings. So I then get those fixed only to be told this issue is still there and they couldnt fix it and I wouldnt be refunded anything. The service was terrible and I was refused any help outside of the rude front desk lady. Considering I work at place with over five thousand people, I will spread the word about how poor my experience was and make it a personal mission that non of my friends or Colleagues ever visit this location again.
I went in today to get my AC fixed which blows Hot air. My warranty company Averex said, that it would be covered. 30 min/$50 later Josh tells me its not my AC. Its an electrical issue and he couldnt say what or how much just give them $50 more dollars to Look Around. They are a money pit! Oh course Averex dont cover anything thats electrical. The ac blows air just not cool air so its getting power. I wish I could give them a minis rating. What a waste of time and money! You have been warned people.Update: Turns out, after some research on google I went to auto zone and brought a $ 7 dollar relay (tax included) and it worked. I now have cold air running through my AC.

Every time I had gone to this location they have misdiagnosed the issue with my car. I went when my check engine light came on and they told me at first it was my gas cap. I purchased a gas cap from here then a few days later the check engine light came on again they said it was a leak somewhere. I went to a friend who is a respected mechanic and he said it was the gas cap still and that there was NO leak anywhere in my car. These people straight up lied to me in order to keep me coming back. This store has zero ethics when it comes to customer service you shouldnt lie to people to maintain business. Dont ever go here, unless you want to be lied to and taken advantage of.
I scheduled appointment at 3 pm and when I reached, I was told my car will be looked after 1 hr and then another hour and half for service. So I did not know what they meant by appointment. I ordered wiper blade online and representative could not give to me due to a system issue.I was then had to go next morning, and selected 20$ conventional oil change, car was taken in and they put synthetic oil for 60$+ service charge 25$.Its ok to have synthetic oil but I can be asked before and made aware when the car was taken it.I selected free tire rotation and they said tire pressure is low and it cant be done. Common you have pump to fill the air in and do it.Be very sure of what you want to get done here and get confirmation on price before you submit car in.
This place is solid and the reps are transparent. Josh and Camache were very helpful. They dont leave you in the dark about prices, parts, service lingos.

Nice staff which goes hand in hand as they are ripping you off with a smile. They oversale services. You go there for one thing and they try to attach another issue to the one you originally had and trying to mislead you into getting the non essential repair done citing made up laws or policy.

I will never again come here or refer anybody else to these lying sitting on they ass when they suppose to be working guys again!!!!
State inspection- booked appointment and was on time. I waited for more than 2 hours and the inspection was never done. The lady at the reception was rude, I told her I can wait for 30 minutes more but she told me she cant guarantee it will be done in 30 minutes. Well well I will never be back to this location again sorry and will tell my friends not to visit as well. Disappointed especially when I had to take time off from my work!

Stay away from this place i should have listened to the other reviews but i got caught up on the tire sale. I walk in on Wednesday ask for a specific tire that they had on sale online. The first guy was nice and even though they dident have that price he said he would honor it which was a buy 3 get 1 free. They dident have any of the tires in stock but he said other stores had them and he could get them in store the next day Thursday. I told him that was fine to put the order in that i would be there on Friday to have them installed, the guy even signed me up for a rewards card for the store. Fast forward its Friday i called to verify if all the tires were in since they would be coming from multiple stores. the lady who answered wouldnt even check the system for my name just kept asking me for the make model and and tire size even though an order was put in. She said for that size we only have two tires which were a higher priced tire than what i wanted. So i try to explain to her once again that i went in on Wednesday put in an order for tires that i was told would be in on Thursday now its Friday and now your telling me that you dont have the tires. She stated that that was correct and that nobody else had that tire and this it was discontinued. Sorry Pepboys but you just lost my business.

I called to schedule an appointment for the tire quote I received online. The quote was roughly $340 and when I called, not only was the salesman on the phone unfriendly, he blatantly told me the internet price was wrong and they would not match it, even though it was quoted for their store. He said it would be somewhere in the ballpark of $380 and flat out refused to honor their own websites online pricing. I happily hung up on the so called expert/con artist and will do business with Discount Tire next week.
Went to this particular pep boys to get my work van serviced, on two separate occasions. First experience was ok. I asked for an oil change and a tire rotation. Took 2 hours to get my oil changed and they didnt even rotate my tires. I know because I have a scuff mark on one of my tires. I didnt think anything of it since Im not paying for it. On the second occasion, I asked for the same thing. It took them 3 hours to even get my van inside the shop for an oil change. Yet they still didnt even rotate my tires. I would have complained, but I had to be somewhere, and with their slow service, I didnt have time for them to rotate my tires. Some mechanics just stand around at the computer doing nothing. Some employees are friend, especially the manager, but others were not at all. Would not recommend going here.
Great Place And Great Staff
Slow service, it took about a week for my car to be repaired. Then when I went to pick it up, it still was not ready and I had to wait over an hour. This was very frustrating to me, especially when I was told it was ready.
Took my car in to get the brakes fixed again which they are the ones who replaced them, a week later brakes lights go off, then my car shuts down on the highway, and now I had to scrap that car.

The lady there doesnt know what she is talking about or the man at the front desk when I tell you they just want to make sells thats all they want to do so when my car TCS light was on and I couldnt start my car properly she tried to tell me multiple reasons what it could be gas pump or battery an other crap she will always tell you we wont know until we get it check and getting it check is pricey so I save my money and went to my mechanic which I got it tow down the street all he did was change the TCS sensor thats all n he gave me a free dianogstic and all that only cost me 200$ Including the tow fee stay away from here
