We have shopped with Esprit Decor for at least 16 years. Everyone there has always been welcoming, efficient and great to deal with. In the last year amid Covid I was able to have carpet installed, purchase a sofa and 2 chairs and a bedroom chest mostly over the phone and had the best experience. From the president to the delivery people, all exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend to anyone !

Wow, Esprit Decor and their delivery guys are simply amazing. My husband and I bought a large bedroom set with an enormous wardrobe weighing over 546lbs and when I say the fellas nailed it, they did an amazing job getting this wardrobe UPSTAIRS without a single hit. No damage to our house or furniture. They took their time and did it carefully. They amazed me! Ontop of the delivery guys doing an extremely well job, Courtnie and the staff at Esprit Decor are simply amazing people to work with. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Anytime I wanted an update they informed me of everything gracefully and our items even arrived before the expected date! Will definitely be shopping here again! And can’t wait for our next order.

After looking at a handful of shops, with a variety of quality/prices, we settled on an England Furniture couch from Esprit. The salesperson, Jules, was very easy to work with and handled our request to custom order a couch. England Furniture was a nice low/mid-their option that gave us made-in-America workmanship with the quality to last 10+ years. We got a quote from Esprit, along with 5 other quotes in the area from England Furniture dealers. Esprit matched a lower quote we received from another England Furniture dealer, and we couldn’t be any happier. The couch will take months to get here, however, that has nothing to do with Esprit. Once I receive the couch later this year, I will update this review.

Joe was a huge help with the purchase of our new mattress. He had a lot of knowledge and pointed us in the right direction for what we needed. Joe even showed us the option available for what we ere asking for for framing with storage. They have everything you need. Joe thank you, you and everyone else were very professional, cant wait to get our new mattress.

An absolutely amazing experience! We went (with our builder) to select engineered hardwood flooring. The sales people and owner were terrific, the prices were very reasonable, and we were quickly able to find a floor we liked and within budget, and still have plenty of time left to find carpet. We will go back later to do furniture shopping. Great place!!

I hit a snag with my last order of a dining room set, and they made sure that everything was perfect before the transaction was complete. Shopping for furniture has been a pleasant experience each of the 3 times I have visited thus far. Sales Associates don’t work on commission so you are not being followed around the store. Yet there are enough Associates floating around that you can always be helped if needed. Each person I spoke with had great information to share which helped narrow down my choices considerably. There are so many wonderful pieces to choose from that make it a tough decision. This is a welcome challenge for me compared to shopping at other furniture stores that did not come close to the quality and inventory of this store. You will not be disappointed shopping at Esprit Decor Furnishings.

You will pay a bit more but the quality is amazing. There is NO comparison to other discount furniture stores. The sales staff is well versed on their stock. You can special order as well. My wife and I have purchased several pieces and we are very satisfied. When we have company they are amazed at how the furniture looks as well as how well it’s made.

My fiancée and I ordered a sofa, chair, ottoman, coffee table, end table, sofa table, high top table, and bar stools from here. Went in the store not really knowing what we were looking for and came out having ordered everything we needed for our new home. The pieces we wanted had to be ordered, but that was expected, and we were given an accurate time frame. Our furniture is now in our new home and looks beautiful. The three best things about this store are the employees, the selection, and the showroom. The employees are friendly and greet you as soon as you come in the store. They are ready and willing to help you with every step of the furniture/design process. The employees are also very patient and not pushing when you need time to make decisions on purchases. The selection is wonderful; most furniture stores we visited had very limited selection and carried the same boring brown sofas. Esprit Decor had a huge variety of styles and colors of fabrics on their sofas. Their showroom is huge and has a large variety of pieces to see, touch, and try out before making any decisions.

I don’t know what their business is like but I’m assuming someone who my phone number has an account there and I received a missed call and called back after googling who called to just let them know “hey, you have the wrong number for whoever associated with this account”. Whoever is answering calls there is rude and her long exaggerated sigh and huff over the phone is enough for me to never want to do business there.

I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell you what a great experience I had with your company from start to finish. Mary was so delightful to work with and so down to earth, which I definitely appreciated. The delivery guys were AWESOME; punctual and very nice. Weve been working with Joe Britton on a project and have had nothing but great experiences with him as a sales professional and also a design consultant. Joe has been in the business for a long time and his knowledge reflects that! The selection available at Esprit is impressive.

We have purchased lovely, well made furniture in the past from Espirit Decor. On New Year’s Eve 2018 after a long search and yes, even multiple visits to Espirit Decor, we purchased three chairs for our living room. Before you purchase, be aware. Our experience on both occasions has been a multiple month wait for our furniture. This is especially to be expected when you are ordering a customized piece. However. The chairs we purchased were delivered and we are so very disappointed with the quality of the pretty pricey product. Compared to the floor model we sat in and based our purchase on, what we received is just awful. The arms of the chairs and the foot portion of the recliners are simply wood covered in material with no cushion at all. We even tried to “live with” them but the are so uncomfortable, they cause me pain when I sit in them. With the reputation of Espirit Decor, and our previous good shopping experience with them, my expectation would be that our dissatisfaction would be addressed in some way. Instead, when I called to talk to someone, I got no assistance of any kind. The Associate I spoke to didn’t want to know why I was unhappy and didn’t even offer an apology for our dissatisfaction. Espirit Decor usually carries nice furniture but this time, we couldn’t be more disappointed with the quality and service and we will be looking to replace these chairs elsewhere and will caution everyone we talk to about furniture about our experience. If you order through Espirit Decor, don’t take possession of the delivery until you are happy with your purchase. Sit in/on it. Make sure it’s what you ordered. Espirit Decor does not support their customer’s satisfaction beyond delivery.

We have ordered and received bedroom and living room furniture, several months back. Very satisfied!. So glad the salespersons dont nag but are quickly available when needed. Prices were great, I would recommend them and buy from them myself.

Of course, they also do have the best prices in Hampton Roads. We have not bought furniture from anyone else but Esprit Décor. Anyone who reads this, please go to the store and see what they offer before you make any final decisions to buy something. They truly are the best. I also, dont understand the negative comments. We have bought a lot of furniture items over the past 20 years and never had a problem with damaged furniture? We have lived here in Chesapeake since 2001 and have purchased nearly all of our furniture for our home from Esprit Decor. They have top-quality brands of furniture that lasts forever and they are a family-run business and they know what true customer service is all about. We worked with Courtnie on our latest purchase of an Omnia leather living room set and couldn’t be happier. Our last Omnia leather couch lasted us 18+ years with two kids growing up, three 50 pound dogs, and 4 cats over the years and never got torn and was still comfortable. The only reason we bought a new set is because we wanted a new color in the family room. The furniture was delivered today by three very processional and courteous gentlemen (they have their own delivery crew, they are not contractors) and I’m sitting on the new couch as I type this review. I think I’ll take a nap now...😁 THANKS COURTNIE AND ESPRIT DECOR!!

I absolutely hate giving 1 star reviews to locally owned businesses however I cant help but see this as justifiable for my experience.I initially visited roughly 2 years ago and upon entering didnt get even a hello or hi from the surrounding people there. Eventually after strolling around looking at sofas someone walked by and smiled and said hi and walked on. After a little bit longer of casual strolling through the furniture aisles I walked out and nobody even noticed. Looking at couch prices that were more expensive than a used Lexus I ended up going to Havertys where the customer service from a man named Kwami (spelling?) was beyond what I could have expected and I purchased a gorgeous sofa there.Fast forward to my second visit here roughly 1 month ago. Not that appearances matter but I figured maybe looking the part I would get more attention this time, I came dressed up and pulled up in my car which new goes for $100,000 and figured maybe someone would want my business this time. I walk in and with multiple people at the back counter and a lady sitting at the tables nobody even said hi. I stroll around the store this time looking for furniture for our media room, a big sectional or possibly movie theater seating. I find a sectional I like but have questions on various arrangements. I knew it would be expensive but I liked it and wanted it. Unlike other stores I wouldve tracked down a sales associate and grabbed them but after my first visit getting ignored and now my second visit being ignored as I walked in the door I figured I would stroll past the front desk and see if anyone asks how Im doing or if I need any help. 2 female employees were behind the front desk flipping through books and a man was also behind the desk on the phone. I pause for a good minute or two in the round table area in front of the desk and get no response from anyone even though the ladies looked up. So I said screw it and walked out. Upon exiting I waived at the lady who was cleaning a glass vase on a table and she smiled back so I know that at least theyre not wax statues or animatronic robots. Once again, I went back to Kwami at Havertys and got A+ service and am purchasing a power leather reclining sectional from there.Like I said, its unfortunate to give ANY local business a 1 star review but both times I went in there there were only a few customers casually walking around. They were not too busy to say hi, they simply chose not to. Theres a big difference between giving customers room to shop and ignoring them. Unfortunately I wont give them a 3rd chance.

I recently purchased a custom built sectional from Espirit Decor and was SO pleased with the whole experience! This is a company that provides excellent customer service and stocks quality brands and products. Their sales representatives are not commission based so they don’t follow you around the store. When we needed help picking out fabrics for our couches and throw pillows, our sales representative took us to the front of the store where the most natural light was so we could really see our sample swatches in their true colors. She then laid out the swatches on the sample couch and on top of two pillows so we could really see the combination together. We felt this service was above and beyond what we expected! Also, there is no upselling going on at this store; we ended up picking a lighter color swatch which was a less expensive grade of fabric and our sales representative was so excited to tell us how much money that change would save us on our purchase! You can expect excellent service, non-pushy and knowledgeable sales representatives, fair prices and quality furniture at Espirit Decor!

Approx 2010, I returned home from Afghanistan and brought a $3,500 leather sectional. It by far was the most expensive piece of furninture Ive ever owned. Summer of 2017, I noticed the sectionals material had certain areas where it started to shed. I returned to Espirit, to go over options of how to save my purchase (conditioning service). The staff had no records of my purchase and denied all claims that they would have sold to me a fake leather couch. Today my couch has 1/3 of it shedding its skin. It looks horrible and my toddler cant escape the shedding. The sectional looked awesome upon purchase and the sells person was so nice at the time of sale, but now it hurts my hearts my heart with its appearance and no fix action or customer service to easy the pain of buying a new sectional. So buyers beware of all items, expensive or not.
