At my office, we stand behind our work, and know the value of treating people right. Scott, the service manager at Berkeley does too. They’re doing so well, they have trouble keeping boats in stock right now, and they take care of their customers - even after a sale. These guys are five stars all around. I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you to buy your next boat at Berkeley, or if you have a problem someone else is struggling with to take it to Berkeley.

Mercury Marine website shows them as an authorized dealer so I went in to inquire about a 20hp outboard fully loaded (price was not a concern), I was immediately told that I should go to a BassPro shop and they only carry larger outboards. Sales staff was very reluctant to price a smaller outboard and have it shipped in for me. A waste of time.

After a year of shopping for the right boat, I decided to buy from Berkeley Outdoors. Dustin and Allen were very informative and took the time to guide and direct me in my best interests..

Ive been a boat owner for 15 years and consider myself knowledgeable about watercraft. Yet, I had many questions about the Sun Tracker I was interested in. The above mentioned were informed about their products and answered any questions I had, if they werent sure they would admit they didnt know but would find out. I appreciate that honesty. Im very pleased with my experience at Berkeley and with my pontoon boat. If a friend was looking to buy a boat I would definitely tell them to give Berkeley a try first.

I called them to see if they had a certain part I needed. Trying to buy local. They said yes, they had it in stock. I drove 30 minutes; they did NOT have it. I drove back home, hello Amazon.

Purchased a Minn Kota Terrova from Berkeley Outdoors in March, had a issue with it. Turn around time was about three weeks which is fairly common for boats in the summertime. Will be back later.

We live 2 hours away and called to see about getting our annual checkup on our pontoon and motor that was purchased through Berkeley Outdoors of Columbia. They were able to schedule us on a Saturday. They found a small leak and fixed it which took them basically all day(Remind you they close at 3pm on Saturday’s) . That is customer service. They put us as the customer first always, instead of asking us to leave the pontoon until next week. We could use a different dealer for our annual checkups, but with the 5 star customer service we receive we will never pick a dealer closer. They are worth the drive.They are they best. When we purchased our boat in 2018, the deal went very smoothly. We had no problem with financing and add ons we purchased. Cypress Cay needed to send up a couple items and the dealer was easy to deal with in getting the items shipped to us.Go check them out, if you are looking for a new pontoon or motor. They are wonderful to deal with.

The service department is excellent. Had a few issues in the past but the new staff has turned things around. Communicated clearly what needed to be done with routine service and a motor repair under warranty. Also kept me in the loop with status updates when parts were backordered. They returned the boat without grease, soot, etc everywhere which isnt always the case with marine mechanics.

Karen and I want to thank Berkeley Outdoors (Brian) for the personal time he spent with us in the familiarization of our new boat. It is a new and exhilarating experience that we will never forget. The confidence Brian gave us in operating our boat, motivated us to get more gas and take a nice long relaxing ride on Lake Greenwood. The wife is a more competent captain than me! My father and I bought a Ranger Bass boat from these folks three days later the motor blew. In most cases you would think that justifies a negative review. Not the case. I called on a Saturday morning and told them the motor had just blew they ask me to bring it on in. The mechanic stopped what he was doing and dove head first into it. Before I left he knew what caused it to blow and assured me it was covered under warranty. They are currently putting a new long block power head on the boat. From the sales process to the warranty claim they have been very professional and as quick as possible. I appreciate these guys and will be a life long customer. I attempted to purchase a side by side at this location, and was lied to about the product. I put a deposit down for what was explained to me and when I came to pick it up the color was wrong, and it did not have the accessories I was told it would. Terrible customer service in the sales department.

After the sale zero customer service. We purchased a new boat it would not run. They kept it 4 weeks and tried to charge us for changing the oil. When we picked it up the white seats were messed up where they parked it under trees.

I wish I could give less stars than one. After traveling 5 hrs and expecting what we were told from Alan Bundt, we left the dealership without a boat. Alan Bundt, after telling my husband and father in law he was the owner, tried to add more money and lied on several occasions to us. When we arrived our boat that we were coming to pick up was absolutely filthy. We come from the generation where you take a man at his word. Alan Bundt is an exception, you cannot believe anything he tells you. Please beware, Berkeley Powersports is a real let down.

Would like to thank Emerson an the rest of the service department for going beyond and above to get my boat back on the water. Finding the parts and making the repairs an saving a planned weekend of fishing.

I went to look at buying a new bass boat. I told the salesman specifically what I wanted a Yamaha engine. My salesmen kept trying to sell me a merc which I do not want. When you run a business like this just try to sell what the customer wants not what they dont want. And dont argue with your customer which is better. My salesmen had a huge mouth and criticized the boat I have and said it is worth in the bottom of lake Murray to make a crappie bed out of it. Unproffesional! Then the salesmen goes of and talks about how he is in major league tournoments and is better than everyone. I dont care I just want a boat not all the personal stories and arguments. Im telling you we will not be back even if you are the only boat shop left on the planet!
