Had the best experience working with Isaac and Ryan. I was having tons of touch screen issues before hand and these got my phone fixed. Even when i couldnt recreate the issue in the store, they went the extra mile to get me taken care of. Not only will i use them again in the future, but ill continue to send them more business.

I purchased an iPhone 12 mini from At&T and was sent a defective phone. The local AT&T store DID NOT help me diagnosis the issue (that is your problem not ours) so I went to Simply Mac and they spent considerable time determining that it was a hardware issue and the phone needed to be replaced.I went back to the AT&T store to return the phone and get a replacement but again was told Thats your problem not ours. You need to contact Apple directly. This despite the fact that I bought the phone from AT&T.!I returned to Simply Mac and once again the staff was VERY HELPFUL in facilitating the return of the phone to Apple so I can get a new, working phone. Five stars for this excellent help

Couple of complaints about this company’s customer service are legit. Ordered an iMac using Affirm about 3 weeks ago. To date, I have not received a confirmation as to order status or estimate on arrival time of product ordered. It would seem a simple customer touch point recognizing your purchase and providing information on the order process would be a good business practice. Good customer service is not rocket science. It’s ownership values. Shop elsewhere is my recommendation. This store won’t return emails either. Affirm should do a better job screening out these low quality service vendors.Update: shortly after posting the previous review I received a phone call from Simply Mac. I wasn’t expecting to hear from them or get my issue resolved. However, the representative was very apologetic and friendly and resolved all issues concerning me. Very nice touch at a personal level. Will see how the delivery updates progress but for now I appreciate the company’s customer complaint resolution process. Thank you for your prompt response.

I usually don’t write reviews unless I’m super happy or super unhappy and surely this is one of the super unhappy ones! My laptop needed a fix and there is no apple store around but simply Mac in Corvallis!! I dropped it off and was told this has to go to apple for repair, I asked if I can have it shipped to me( this is what I have always done when a repair with apple was needed) and they asked for extra money being charged for shipping!!!! Apple never charged me for this.To make the story short, laptop is back from apple ans I’m in rush to receive the laptop, keep sending them emails of follow ups and asking abt my laptop! Lastly I ended up calling cause they were not responding to my email as for 2days!! It’s 40 hrs to my flight and I need my laptop!!! The person on the phone agrees to send it over night after hunting up on me when I was mad and was asking to talk to his manager!!! Lastly, the have promised an over night fedex delivery and as I am writing this review, it’s almost passed 24 hrs of the expected delivery and I had my flight and left and the laptop is not delivere YET! Who is responsible for this now??? How am I gonna receive my laptop!? And when?!?!This is not okay!!! I will not go back! And I don’t recommend! Just do yourself a favor and drive you to an actual apple store!

I know these folks probably get hundreds of calls, but I called in one afternoon because I needed to swap out my iPad Mini with an upgrade prior to an Overlanding trip. Not only did they have one, they set it aside for me and then when I got there, the whole trade-in, purchase process was super fast. The folks were friendly, easy to work with, and took good care of me. I tend to buy all my Apple stuff from these guys, even for our business, we buy from them. They are local and they provide support as well. Awesome!!

I had issues with this place. My computer had issues so the only place open at the time last summer was this place to get my computer fixed and I live 3 hours away. I drove there and had to pay 100$ for them to do NOTHING, fix NOTHING, and not even properly diagnose what the computers problems were! They were at least supposed to wipe my drive and reinstall stuff properly and didn’t even do that properly!!!! All they did was try to remove the user, which does not fully wipe the drive. I ended up visiting my brother in California and he had to wipe the drive for me and did what they did not do in the simply Mac store. Apple said my internet at home might not be strong enough to update my software properly and that is why they booked this appointment as simply Mac (the coast internet sucks) to do that and troubleshoot other stuff and clear the drive properly. Honestly I think this place is a scam. I’m sure the workers have good intentions but however they train them, they don’t know what they’re doing. I am also not surprised I just saw another review on here where a lady said she went through the same thing as me having to drive far. Lastly, I told them I lived so far away so I asked if they were able to get it done that day (it literally would’ve taken them 15 minutes) and they said no, so i had to come back again like the next day to pick it up (another 6 hour drive). I kinda wish they would’ve tried to at least work with me on that, especially since they didn’t even do anything to help me.

We had two excellent experiences at Simply Mac. A few months ago, Ryan helped us negotiate with Apple to repair our Macbook Pro under the repair extension program, as the computer was 3 years old and out of warranty. We really got the sense that he cared about our situation and that he wanted to restore our faith in Apple products. More recently, we ran low on storage and couldnt figure out why. Again, Ryan quickly solved the problem and he charged a very reasonable rate.

Great customer service, and good turn around time! I would highly recommend going here for for any computer needs. They opened up the frame of my computer when i dropped it off for repairs, to check the liquid sensors to given me an idea of whether or not it would be in warranty, which was greatly appreciated. They made sure to communicate with me about the repairs as they occurred even though they were clearly very busy. The level of care was greatly appreciated!

I am seriously blown away with how wonderful this place is. I actually repair older MacBooks myself, and I usually do not take my own devices to computer repair places. In the instance that I did take my Late 2016 MacBook Pro in, it was only because Apple had offered to fix it completely free of charge due to it having the defective butterfly keyboard. It was a little inconvenient that I had to travel to this specific store, because none of the stores nearby in Portland are currently open due to Covid19. However, I decided to bite the bullet and make the trip if they really were going to fix it gratis.I called ahead to make sure to know what they needed from me first to ensure that it wouldnt be a long visit. They were super nice to me, and even told me that if Id like to have the computer sent directly back to me, that Apple would do that, to save me the extra trip down again. This made me even more happy to hand it over.They did state that it would take about a week, at most two weeks. I was fine with this, as I have a spare computer to work from. It was ready for me to pickup in exactly a week! I was stunned, especially since this needed to be shipped off to the AppleCare Center. It works absolutely perfect now!Now, they did get this sent back to their store, which was unfortunate. Im sure that may have just been Apples fault for not reading through the notes--Im unsure. In any event, I was willing to pay a $15 fee just to get it shipped to me. I thought that was totally fair, and its worth it to save on gas. When I had mentioned that I was told it would get shipped to me directly for free, they were very nice and offered to ship it free of charge, because it was promised to me initially. I really, really appreciated that.Now if I have any issues with a newer MacBook, or if I know of any friends or family members that need help with a newer one, I will definitely recommend this store.

I was helped by Jennie G today and I was very thankful for the service. I was looking for a specific cable and I thought I had the right name for it.I asked for a “lightning to usb” toggle and the employee who helped me went and got it, I realized it was the wrong one and asked for a different cable which the employee went and grabbed.Realizing that it still wasn’t the cable I needed I explained to Jennie G what I was looking for and she was able to find what I needed.I have had similar situations that have happened in other stores and have had employees become condescending and rude but Jennie did not do that. She was very calm and helpful.Thank you very much for all your help!!

I went into Simply Mac to troubleshoot my Apple 6 poor battery life. Ryan was extremely informative and a wealth of knowledge. He quickly got me an appointment and had several technical recommendations for me to follow. We discussed the benefits of upgrading soon to the Apple 7 or 8, and an Apple Watch. When I decide to upgrade, I will definitely come back to Simply Mac to make my purchase and it was Ryan’s honest, professional personality that sold me on the store. . . Thanks Ryan!!

I drove two hours to get to Corvallis for my appt, and arrived 18 minutes early. I was informed I couldnt stay in the store, due to COVID, which I understood. I came back at exactly 11:20, my appt time, and I waited another 10 minutes before I could see a technician. After explaining the issue I was having with my iPhone, the tech looked at it for two minutes and said theyd have to do a full replacement at an additional cost of $550! Nope. Apple tells consumers their product is water resistant up to 2 meters and 30 minutes but refuses to replace the iPhone xs when damage is caused despite their feature being touted as better than ever before.

Well.. I took my phone in to replace the battery, when I picked it up I was told that there had been a mishap with my phone. I was not happy to hear that. They did offer to fix it for free but needed to order a part first. Two days later Tucker called and asked me to come back in. Now it’s as good as new. They are very nice there and I still would recommend them.

Purchased a MacBook Pro in June. Was one of the lucky ones that had an issue with the solid state drive. While out of town went to an Apple store and they diagnosed and fixed the issue, but failed to install the programs that were on the program at the time of purchase. I went to the Simple Mac store and was told if their technician was to work on it, the price is $39 an hour. I stated I just want the computer back with what it had when it was purchased. No - if their technicians had to work on it there would be a fee. WHAT!!! So do you stand behind the products that you sell or just want to get additional funds. This was not an error caused by me - the apple product was a fail. This is not what I would call customer service. You provided no support. I was told to call apple support!!! Will take my money elsewhere next time, guaranteed. Would give you a negative rating If it was an option.

The service I received at Simply Mac at Eugene/Corvallis was fast and great!I first brought my MBP to the store at Eugene early mid March 2020 right around the outbreak of Corona virus. The staff helped me get warranty coverage through Apple Inc. In fact, my device was having issue with display (constant flickering of the screen made it worthless) and it was initially diagnosed to be having logic board issue. By early April 2020, the device was already fixed and I went to pick it up at the store in Corvallis. To my surprise, they reconditioned my MBP back to brand new by replacing the microphone, the shell, screen and the keyboard and more.Given the reviews I came across before heading there, i honestly didnt trust them in the beginning to provide this amazing service but they did.After four months of trial period, I can attest that my MBP is still functioning like new.THANK you Simply Mac of Eugene/Corvallis and THANK you Apple Inc for providing full warranty coverage!

I come in here regularly to supply my local business here in town and my experience here is always so positive. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and never intimidating— no matter what your knowledge of technology is. (Admittedly, I’m a little technology- challenged!) They are always looking to advise me with out making “that extra sale” and the manager at the Corvallis store was extremely helpful to me when I had an issue with my new iPhone X. Highly recommend!

Never again. Called to ask if they had an iphone battery in stock, yes they said. Got there, no they didnt! (1) they ordered and said they would call when i got in, they called (2) I said when I could get back as I live out of town. Went in, (3) could find the battery, printers were down, finally found the battery and after 1/2+ for the FIRST time, they said oh this will take about 2.5 hours. Called Apple, they found a battery, immediately said how long it would take, made an appointment for me at an Apple store.

I brought in my Mac Pro for a diagnosis of a booting problem and peculiar program behavior. The repair techs and floor staff were all responsive and knowledgeable. They fixed my boot problem and determined that there were no hardware issues. My only issue with Simply Mac is that they did not get to my Mac for seven working days and the problem was not fully diagnosed until 11 working days had passed. Once they got to it, they did a good job. (I would have given them five stars if they had done the job sooner.)

Busy store, but none-the-less attentive staff, courteous and informed service and great products. The new hard drives they sell are amazing, 2 TB and QUICK to copy. I expected that backing up my entire computer (Your disk is almost full) would take hours, as it has with past devices; it took MINUTES. I will be in for another for a second backup device on Monday!

The iPhones were due for a battery replacements. We scheduled the replacements for the next day. All the staff were helpful in getting us in and out in a very timely manner. My phone was broken in some really odd ways, and apple support suggested I go here to try to get it fixed. I definitely will recommend this place to others. The guy who helped me, who I believe is named Tucker, was very nice and helpful. I accidentally forgot my Apple ID password when we were resetting my phone and he didn’t seem annoyed or anything. He also explained the problem in a simple but non condescending way. If I have a problem again I’m coming back here for sure.

II purchased a laptop in September from the store in Corvallis. The customer service is always good. I left my old laptop so the data could be transferred. I purchased on Monday, was told it would be Tue or Wed before it was done. I didnt have a ton of data to transfers... It was actually not done til Friday. I called before coming in and was told it was ready. When I went to pick it up an hour later, was told that they werent sure it was ready yet. I left and had my hubby pick it up later that afternoon.

Horrible Service! Techs lied to me about water damage as a reason not to repair my laptop. When I asked to see the damage, they changed their answer and said there was no water damage and made up some other excuses to avoid having to do the warranty work. These people are thoroughly unprofessional even worse, liars. The only reason this place stays open is its the only Apple store in a large college town. If you can, ship your laptop directly to Apple for service, or go to Portlands Apple store. At Simply Mac people are just not trustworthy. If they dont show respect to your face, this should give you an idea of the quality of work they do when you arent watching. -- Weeks later I took my laptop to a REAL Apple store and it was fixed no problem. Avoid these people!

On a scale of 1 -10 I had a 100 experience at Simply Mac in Corvallis. I called ahead and left a message which was returned by Donovan. He was friendly, understanding of my situation, and prompt. He kept me informed of everything he was doing to get my phone back in working order. It had to be sent back to Apple for repairs so he set me up with a loaner so I wasnt without a phone. I couldnt have been happier with the service, and the friendliness I was met with as soon as I walked in the door. By the time I left, which was under an hour, I talked with several others who worked there, all of whom were friendly and fun. I watched them help other customers and they were spot on. Even when Donovan was helping me, he called out to people who entered the store and welcomed them. I had only a positive experience there, and recommend highly you go. I was so happy to walk out of there with a working phone. A+ to Donovan, and all his colleagues who made my anxiety provoking experience of crashing my phone a piece of cake! They dont service things on the weekend, but also dont post information. Their staff informed us that we cant call ahead to see if they will be able to repair anything or if they have things in stock because they are too busy to answer their phone. Amazingly the Eugene store answers after two rings and will check to see if they have items in stock. It is worth the out of town drive to work with competent staff that offers customer service.

Apple care set up an appointment with Simply Mac for me. Simply Mac got me right in the next day. I got a call 8 days later to come get my fully repaired iMac. They found the issue and fixed it (it needed a new monitor!). I could not be happier with the service I recieved. Thank you Simply Mac!

WARNING. This actually happened last week. I bought a new router and took it home only to discover it was a USED router. It had someone elses name and password on it. I took it back and they didnt even seem surprised but claimed it had never happened before. When I asked who their supplier was they would not say. They implied this happened with hard drives too. I would NEVER buy anything new from this store again unless you want to risk something used being repackaged and pawned on you as a new product. DO NOT RUST THIS PLACE.

I have been here twice and both times the service has been exceptional. Friendly and attentive staff. Both visits were for assistance with computer issues. The first was educational and the second required actual repair of my MaBook Air. The turnaround time was very quick, brought it in on Saturday morning and got a call Monday morning that it was ready! The technician explained in writing what had been done to remedy the problem as well as patiently explain the situation over the phone. Perhaps your repair may take longer but this place beats any Apple Store hands down. It is quieter and service is friendly and customer orientated.

Took my MacBook pro in to have the battery serviced. I paid the extra rush fee to have it done quickly. I expected it to still take a few day but they received the battery from Apple the next day and it was finished in about an hour. Thank you! After reading poor review online I was reluctant to take my dead computer here but theyre the Mac experts so I gave them a shot. I was on crutches and staff went out of their way to help me get in the door and get service quickly. I hadnt made an appointment and they were all booked for the day but staff worked me in anyway. Both of my technical problems were fixed quickly and without charge. Everyone was super friendly, competent, and helpful. I cant speak to others negative experiences but the service I received today was top notch.

Simply Mac in Corvallis is a poorly run business with poor customer service. They do not reliably answer or return phone calls. They do not honor scheduled service and repair appointments. They pretend to be polite but have no follow through. Many of the staff are poorly trained.

I was concerned that my iPad was out of date since it didn’t load iOS13, but instead of a hard sell for a new iPad, they told me if I was happy with it, it would be fine for another couple years. That’s the kind of service that builds loyalty!!

Highly recommend their data recovery service. I brought in a broken MacBook Pro that would not boot. They recovered all of its data within a week for $90 and gave me a free 1TB external hard drive with the data in it. The hard drive itself would have costed around $80. Before going to them I was considering a specialized data recovery company that would have charged between $700-$3900.

Simply Macs service department record keeping is horrible. We turned in a Mac Airbook under warranty for repair in late December. A month later we heard nothing from the store. Going back to the store we found out that they had locally replaced a bad part (even though they told us they were shipping it back to Apple for repair), and for somehow their records showed it returned to customer when it was not! These folks do not have the act together. Go to a real Apple store if you can.
