I have gone here probably a dozen times, and the only bad experience Ive had is with a haughty male customer stepping in front of everyone else in line. The staff here is always very friendly and helpful. Ive never witnessed negativity directed at customers here. I hope that no one takes these negative reviews seriously; must be a handful of self-absorbed psychopaths attempting to somehow damage the hard-working staff.
Now they want you to wait out front in line to drop off a pre paid label, whats clear is they dont care about your time or making it easy
Routinely poor, incomplete, or confused customer service. Occasionally rude as well. I’ve never had a simple, straightforward experience here. I now avoid this store unless absolutely necessary. In reply to managers response: These experiences pre-date COVID and, even since, relate to things outside of COVID protocols, such as box sizing and pricing, turnaround time for having an item packaged, and ability to have shipping labels printed at the store.
I had a very bad experience... The lady (I dont want to nominate her) on counter 2 was rude, disrespectful, and annoying... Instead of listening to me, she kept talking over me and I had to tell her to stop talking and listen to me, and still, she kept on talking. I am sure this is not the first time that someone is complaining about her behavior. If the manager is reading this comment, please ask the other lady who was working at counter 1 at 4:45 PM. Thanks
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even helped me resize a shipping box so that the contents wouldnt rattle around when I ship it.
I hate seeing all of these bad reviews. were in a pandemic and customer service workers are going through a lot.i came in today to return an amazon package and the only lady at the counter who was helping another person immediately saw i was just returning something and took two seconds to scan my package and get me out without any wait. went above and beyond as i wasnt worried at all about waiting a few minutes.
Terrible costumer service! the lady with pink hair was very rude and all I was trying to do was get a paper notarized and it literally takes 1 minute. I mentioned that it was very urgent and my dad had a surgery but it didnt make a difference. There was an employee that was just sitting there doing nothing.
Edit: The situation was resolved cleanly enough. The manger or owner called me and everything worked out. The whole ordeal was convoluted*, but the UPS Store did work through things with me and get a satisfactory result. Im changing my review to 4/5 because for the following reasons: + The issue was ultimately resolved and the person who called me was polite. + Apparently there is a screen that I verified the package information on, although I dont personally recall verifying it. But Im going to go ahead and just say I forgot this happening some how and take the blame there. + The customer service on my first visit, aside from the mistake, was good. - The person who answered my phone call when I initially left this review was inpatient and unhelpful. Ive since been informed that the UPS store can indeed help you if you have something shipped to the wrong address.(*The UPS store offered to have to package cancelled and shipped back to them, where we could send it out again afterwards, I think. I said I think because in the time between the employee told me to call UPS and the manager/owner calling me back, I had resolved the issue via UPSs online support chat feature, so this didnt end up being necessary. So if you run into this problem yourself, dont call the UPS hotline, and dont try email support. Either talk to the UPS store or use UPSs online support chat)I shipped a package here yesterday. My experience was mostly fine, except that the clerk entered the address I was shipping too incorrectly. They also never checked the address with me before leaving, and I didnt realize until late that evening when I checked my receipt. I didnt expect there to be a problem because I handed the employee a slip of paper with the address on it. They misread it and entered the wrong address (the put 113 St. S. instead of 133 St. S for the street). Thats fine, mistakes happen. I should have double checked in the store. (They probably shouldve double check with me as well, but oh well). What is really disappointing is that when I called the next morning to help get this sorted out, I was told that they cant do anything for me and that I need to call UPS. However, after visiting the UPS website and later calling the UPS customer service line, I was informed that I cant change the address because I didnt ship it with my personal UPS account. I understand that this UPS store is a franchise and isnt related necessarily to the shipping company themselves in name. However, It stands to reason that this UPS store has some kind of an account with UPS, and that they should be able to change the delivery address just as I would be able to if I had personally shipped it. Instead, they offer no help.In the end, I have a package going somewhere nowhere, at the fault of the employee there, and have no way to do anything about it. So Im out the money I spent to ship it, and who knows where my package is going to end up. Very disappointing. You may be thinking that the slip of paper with the address is illegible or poorly written. I cant really upload the slip here or anything, all I can say is, believe me, it very clearly says 133 and not 113. The threes are very clearly threes. It was an honest and easy mistake to make, but the store should think about how they can fix it if this happens in the future. Or implement a policy to always have the customer verify the address. (Again, Ill take responsibility for not noticing tonight, but it would be nice if the store checked with you)
So my boyfriend and I are moving across country and in our wonderful innocence we were under the impression that UPS was a respectable enough company to go through for shipping important items. Items that wouldn’t fit in our car and would be very difficult to transport from that distance. Unfortunately for us we had the interesting revelation that in fact hiring UPS to ship important items is the equivalent of asking a toddler to be delicate with porcelain. It seems that whoever had the wonderful experience of throwing our precious and valuable items around and crushing them with impunity also managed to DESTROY an entire box and somehow forget to let us know until we called for days wondering where it happened to be? The company itself seems to delight in making us call customer service and then repeatedly type in an exorbitantly long shipping number until robot woman is so amused that she decides to hang up. Not only did I not speak to an actually living person in customer service, every time I was rerouted to robot impersonator she explained to me that “it was for my safety”. I am just genuinely confused how that is a valid argument for a company to care about “safety” when they are throwing my items around and casually destroying somebody’s well earned property. Where was the “safety” in that? How utterly patronizing can one company be? Thank you UPS for explaining to me absolutely nothing about why my packages were damaged, why you charged me hundreds of dollars for it or why I have no way of contacting anyone to ask when I will be compensated for the destruction of my property. I usually dislike leaving bad reviews and try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but in this case I think it’s imperative to at least warn people that despite putting foam, bubble wrap, and double tape that says FRAGILE they still manage to make the whole effort into a joke and charge an arm, leg, kidney, and God knows what else to throw your precious valuables around. I will never go through this company again to ship anything of minute value because I have a metal trash compactor in my neighborhood that can do the same job for half the price! Thank you UPS for making me call customer service so many times that I now know how to say “I don’t care” in Spanish, English, and robot. I really appreciate the education you provide and did not realize that my hard earned time, money, and effort was being put to use so that a UPS driver could obliterate my total faith in humanity.
Im not sure why this location has such a low rating, Ive been there a few times to return amazon packages and ship things, theyre always friendly and helpful.
Rude Customer service. Came to drop off an amazon return and was talked to like I was stupid, I believe it was the assistant manager. If she would talk to me that way I cant imagine how she talks to the employees. That must explain the poor service. Line was terrible to. Waited about 15 min to have someone talk to me like that.
They were not helpful. I had been misinformed about how to mail a package and they did not help me. All I needed was a bit of tape but no I would have had to purchase a whole role. Additionally, they were abstinent and made me feel like I was at fault. Not coming back here!
I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the people at this store. They know who I am, exactly what I need for shipping, always greet me with a smile. The people at this store are awesome.
Like most people, I dont usually leave reviews unless I am mad. But I had to point out that the lady that helped was super patient with the 20 questions from another person in the store. She helped me and them at the same time and never missed a beat. Never lost her smile. Thank you!
Great Praise for Sara KastetI recently had a problem with a refund from Amazon aftersending a package from the UPS Store. The problem was Amazon’s, not the UPS Store where I have always had excellent service.Although it was not a UPS problem, Sara Kastet at the storewent out of her way to help me in tracing the scanning of the package by the store. With that information I was able to solve my issue with Amazon.Without Sara’s help, I would likely not have gotten the refund on my return to Amazon. So, I thank her very much for the excellent service she provided!
Shipping stuff can be an irritating task (especially waiting outside prior due to covid distance requirements), but the staff here is always so genuinely friendly and helpful!
I have a postal box at this location and check in daily. The staff is always helpful and polite. Even when the store is busy and hectic, they all work quickly to meet your needs. They are very knowledgeable and make shipping easy.
This UPS store is simply put, the bomb dot com. It has had a change of owner somewhat recently and let me tell you it is no where near the same place it was. ALL of the staff there are extremely helpful, courteous and kind. I refuse to visit another shipping facility.Keep up the amazing work you gals are all doing there. You have turned me into a loyal and forever customer. Thank you for all you do!!
Update: responding to manager:I never had an issue with this store before you cancelled my box. The people there were very nice and even called me by name when o came in. I don’t know why you are accusing me of being a bad client when I was always nice, but people should take their business elsewhere. The owner and manager aren’t honest. I will be in to get the picture.Update: August 5thEven though I asked a adjustment period of one week to change my address on banks, IRS, insurances and Amazon, one delivery that was shown as delivered on the 31st again was not available, no clear answer as what happened to the package, an employee after asking in the back she “thought” it was returned to Amazon. Amazon has no parcel returned- adding the missing packages to four since we rented the box.The previous package missing, Amazon confirmed that two packages were delivered with same barcode however I got only one package handed out. The second package disappeared.Amazon refunded the amount from the “disappeared” package, unfortunately they did not have the supplements ordered in stock putting us in extra hassle consulting a our naturopath and finding an alternative.Original post:I’m a business owner and full-time RV years so we are reliant on mailboxes I never in my life had such a problem with any mailbox but with this store. I also barely give less than four star reviews because I know How difficult it is to make things perfect for the client. However this story is an exception. Well the employees are very helpful and try to help every time I had a problem with the packages the The store manager what’s the worst experience I had a head dealing with resolving a problem.
I’ve been to this UPS store multiple times and each time I’ve experienced amazing customer service! The employees here are experienced, helpful and friendly. They helped me ship something the most cost effective way, giving me options. Thank you! I’ll be back.
Just called to ask a question about my package delivery, the woman sounded pretty condescending over the phone and made me feel like an annoyance, or inconvenience in the least. I don’t know, it was behavior I would expect from a friend or family member at the most and it made me feel really bad. This happened 6/18 around 4:30. Giving 3 stars instead of 2 because the one time I walked in, the young girl there was very sweet and patient with me.
Kind staff, slow service though.
Bad experience, charge money for little packing. Missing receive for serial packages. AWFUL service.
Courteous and helpful staff. Great gift cards and nice selection of wrapping materials.
I just want to thank you for being open and dealing with us customers that can be hard to handle at times.
Almost always great service. 4.5 stars
Fastest. Amazon return. Ever.
Excellent service, very helpful staff who are informative. Parking can be sketchy but usually is good, its an active business. Most people are in and out in 4-10 minutes.
#Important! Be sure to see the end! # When I used to print Amazons free shipping label here, the store charged me a $1 printing fee. I was very upset because Amazon told me that it was printed for free. Today, when I went, I was ready to pay, but was informed that it was free to print. Im glad theres been a change. Ive seen a lot of comments saying that theres no free label to print here, and theyre comments from a long time ago. I would like to say that changes have been made here, and its score will be improved.
Went there today to ship an item back to the manufacturer. Brought my own box and packaging, but needed tape and the shipping postage itself. They gladly taped up the package, and quickly processed the shipping. This was also at 5:30pm, right as the UPS driver was there to pick up.I agree with all the other reviews about the horrible customer service, as I have had the exact same kind of experiences at this location in the past. However, today was a completely different experience! They employees were extremely friendly and professional. Based on todays experience, I will definitely go there again in the future!
Pathetic service. Went in to have papers notarized, and the woman demanded I prove I was the CEO of the companies I needed a notary to isgn for. This despite having the usual identification. Moreover I went the extra step, had my CFO send articles of incorporation and she stayed this isnt enough as i couldnt prove I was the CEO of the multiple companies that exist under one banner. I wanted to simply ask maybe you cant belive a black man can be a CEO. I left went to a bank and finished in 5 min. Wasted 25 min with this .....
The girls there have always been helpful.
Called the ups store today with questions regarding the delivery of a package. The lady that picked up immediately placed me on hold but this was something I expected. After waiting on hold for around 8 or 9 minutes, I got put through. I could tell.i wasnt going to be helped from the moment I started talking. The lady seemed very harsh and didnt even try thinking of anything she could do in the situation I was in. Very very bad customer service.
I was so nervous to return my husbands shoes to amazon . My daughters who are the brains of the family moved out:(Cassidy Spencer took my package and took care of everything ! Quick and simpleway to go!! Ps this is my first reviewThank you so muchErika Arnold.
These guys are great! Ive had a po box there for years, and Ive shipped stuff, and taken advantage of pretty much everything they offer. Friendly staff, and always eager to please. Highly recommended!
Do not use this UPS store if you can avoid it. They have absolutely AWFUL customer service and charge you for services that at other UPS stores are free of charge. They will charge you a $1.00 per label to print Amazon return labels that are supposed to be free of charge according to Amazon customer service. This UPS store is ripping people off to pay for their expensive location.Beware!!!! I recommend the Philomath store and will NEVER again use this location.
In agreement with everyone else. Horrible customer service. I arrive with my package ready to ship; label printed, prepaid....it needs one short strip of tape. one.I ask if they have tape, and she says I can go home and tape it up, or buy a role from them. Never had this experience at a Shipping store before. From now on Ill use a different company.Ive got an idea UPS Store...spend $100 on wholesale tape (your a shipping and packaging store, I know you could buy 10000 feet of tape for that price) and offer a little tape to your customers if they need it. Then you wont get HORRIBLE reviews and lose your customer base, and maybe people will enjoy using your service and give you money. or you can lose your customers and make no money...hmmmm...you cant decide which is better...well thats obvious.
Shipped several things and have dropped off numerous returns at this location. No issues, staff is friendly and quick. Keep in mind The UPS Store is not the same as the shipping company UPS, they are a retail store that works directly with UPS. If you bring a package in to return it, bring your own box and packing material!
Great customer service! I came in with a couple packages going two different places, and they were very knowledgeable in the cheapest and fast way to get my to there destination. Would defiantly use them again!
Cassidy saved the day! After numerous phone calls to the UPS 1-800 # directing me to call the store and the store saying no the ups # has to do that Cassidy graciously got on a 3 way call with me and a supervisor at the call center and made the interception happen that needed to happen. Despite my dwindling patience she remained calm, concise and yet firm..by the time the 3 way call came around I was at my wits end and devastated at the financial loss of losing this item. Cassidy stood up for me and remained compliant with what UPS was needing and went further to ask questions I hadnt even thought of yet. She able to resolve the issue with the delivery and in my eyes went above and beyond! Im sorry if I was mean Cassidy! Your the bomb and deserve a raise!
The kindest staff and management! Cassidy was more than helpful in providing the best and most affordable options for shipping a multiple of boxes.
WORST PLACE ON EARTH BESIDES FLORIDA. Went in for a simple notary service and the woman working the front counter looked at my documents like Id just placed a moon rock in front of her. She called over her manager (I didnt get his name, but he was tall, overweight, and very sweaty), and he looked at my documents for about five seconds and then looked at me and practically shouted, Were not doing this! I asked why and he because he doesnt have to. What? I explained the urgency of the situation (I was selling a house across the country and this needed to be done that day) and he sneered and said, not my problem. Okay.I went to the OSU Credit Union and they had it taken care of in five minutes. I asked the woman at the bank who helped me what the problem could have been at UPS and she shook her head and said she had no idea, and that there was nothing unusual about my documents.I called the UPS Store to complain--not only had they made a mistake, but they were incredibly rude about it--and got the manager I had spoken to on the line. As soon as he realized who I was he started berating me and taunting me, asking if I was able to find anybody to notarize my illegal papers (?). I explained that yes, the woman at the bank took care of it in no time, and he said that she broke the law by doing that (obviously not true). I told him that he had one heck of a Yelp review coming and I wanted to know his name and he said he was not willing to have his name attached to a negative review (how spineless is that?).After looking at previous reviews of this store it has become clear that this extraordinary rudeness is the general attitude of the management and employees there. So do yourself a huge favor and dont even bother with these people. Theres another UPS store in town with much better reviews--just go there instead!
The staff isnt very friendly and they always want you to put your already labeled packages on a cart without scanning them in. The cart is out on the main floor, anyone has access to it.When they do begrudgingly scan it, after I ask, they say Its actually not a receipt and every time I laugh because when you look at this non-receipt it says Drop-Off Package Receipt. Followed by a statement at the bottom saying This receipt lists each package received by the UPS store #2610 Meaning I am no longer liable for it if it gets lost or stolen.Additionally, when Ive wanted them to package something for me in the past, they never want to do it while Im standing there. Both of the above mentioned offences could result in a stolen item and its not a risk I like to take. I now only come here when I have a return that generates me a UPS label, otherwise I do my shipping anywhere else; USPS, FedEX, by Owl - anything that seems more secure.
Argh... Went in here with my 2 year old and he picked up a blood soaked bandaid off the floor. I told both employees and aked for a bathroom to wash his hands and the one that wasnt busy just looked at me and walked away.
I wish I could give them zero star! This is by far the worst UPS store ever! The fat guy behind the counter is one rude dishonest piece of work. nobody should trust these people. Besides being unfriendly and grumpy, They wanted me to drop off my shipment without giving me any receipt that shows I have it dropped off!!! He even refused to scan the box and register it in the system! He claims he doesnt have the scanning device and only the drive does it! what a pathological liar! I wish the Staples was still open! They were much nicer and professional people!
At the time of my review, this store has a 2.2/5 with 44 reviews. That is probably some kind of Corvallis record - to stay in business with THAT MANY consistently horrible reviews. The two times I used this store I was not treated like a valued customer. I also got the pay for tape line, which is utterly ridiculous. Does a restaurant charge for napkins, forks, salt? Does a clothing store make you pay to use the fitting room? These are things which are almost neccessary to selling their product or service, just like tape is for a shipping company. Charging for a box is one thing, but for tape (with a horrible snarky attitude) is ridiculous. Others have said this but Ill reiterate - the Philomath Blvd location by 53rd is fantastic. They always help, never rush, always say hi and how are you, and provide prints and other helpful services with a smile and no resentment. Go there!
You will save money driving to the Philomath store. These people are awful and will try to charge you for every little thing. Need a foot of tape? Buy a whole roll. Have something that is incapable of breaking? Guess what you still have to pay for packaging material. That isnt a UPS policy its just that store. Oh and the store is super sexist towards girls. If you are remotely attractive be prepared to be talked down to by the awful employees that work there. I really hope the girl with dark hair and black framed glasses gets fired. She is super rude and has no customer service skills.
Worst service Ive ever experienced with UPS went once for copies where an associate was rude for no reason. Today went back because I needed some paperwork notarized, was met by the same associate that said come back in an hour, our notary services dont start till then came back in 1 hour to learn that SAME associate WAS the notary, who then claimed to have no idea which certificate was required for my car title request form and refused to help me. Went to other location on philomath and was helped by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Corporate needs to do some sweeping imho.
I use your store a lot to mail items to family and while I was in there the store manager was very rude here name was Sara and she was yelling at her employees in front of customers Melissa was very nice and didn’t deserve such treatment Melissa always friendly and very helpfull
They changed me just to tap the shipping label that I printed onto the box I was mailing.
OMG! S N O T T Y! Worst customer experience.
If you only have a limited amount of time for your lunch break and you are looking to do a quick transaction at a UPS store go to the one in Corvallis by market of choice and ask for Cassidy she gets you in and out of there and under 5 minutes it was awesome!
The old ladies are extremely rude, I cannot wait until new staff come in, all other locations are fine, this one just is so rude and petty.
Like many people I found the staff to be very unhelpful. As previously mentioned the notary doesnt seem to know what she is doing and seems to go out her way to find a reason not to provide service. I visited the store in Philamoth after being refused service here and received outstanding service. How 2 stores so close to each other can have such a wide difference in rating should tell UPS Corporate that something is very wrong at this store. Philomath is a drive but worth the extra miles. Awful staff. Awful service. Give UPS a very bad name.
Called to confirm they provide notary services. They would not notarize our document because it did not meet their requirements. The document was from the Catholic Church. Either they dont know what theyre doing or the Catholic Church - with millenia of experience and many, many lawyers - doesnt know what its doing. Then again, maybe neither knows?
Staff was sarcastic and rude for both of my questions. Maybe when you work for a shipping company you should realize not everyone who walks through the door knows everything about the service you provide. Lame! Almost didnt trust he would actually send my packages just to be spiteful of my apparent stupidity.
Ive always had a great experience with staff being friendly and helpful in sending mail the cheapest/fastest way!
I had something with a prepaid UPS shipping label. The last item that went into the box was far from my office so I arrived with the box untaped. I asked to borrow tape. If the clerk had said no, it is company policy not to share tape I would have been okay. Instead he adopted a mocking attitude and appeared to take great pleasure in sending me away. Very disappointing service and rude treatment. I will go out of my way not to go back, but judging by the other reviews Im not the only one.
I had an i9 I needed to be filled out. The state and the notary association give instructions on how to do this (they dont notarized the doc) but she refused to do what the state of oregon gives instructions to do. Go to another notary.YOU ARE A NOTARY! Do your job.
I did my mothers Christmas shipping at this store. I stood there waiting to be helped.. and waited... and waited... while everyone around me was being helped. When I said something to one of the employees (the heavy set blonde girl, who I found out is a manager) the reply was completely rude and unprofessional to me and she told me that I was not ready to be helped. I had been ready and waiting for almost 10 minutes! I have no intentions of returning to this store, EVER.
I saved about $20 on some kitchen stuff I had to return when they cut the box down to make it smaller. REALLY COOL!
Rude and slow service. The UPS store on Philomath Blvd is much faster with friendly and helpful employees.
I am only giving them 1 star because I cant give them Zero stars...Do NOT expect anything that resembles customer service at this location. Staff are rude, inefficient and made me regret wasting my time and spending my money at this location. I will no longer use this office for my small business shipping needs. Go to the store on Philomath Blvd instead.
❌❌❌6/18/18 9:45am Horrible disrespectful employees, I was placed on hold without being able to say a word twice so I called back multiple times and finally a hostile woman answered and was so disrespectful it wasn’t funny, she refused to let me talk to a supervisor or let me know when they would be available, she refused to give me her name.I wouldn’t recommend a bunch of idiots
Amazon Textbook returns made easy! Great Service provided
Terrible customer service. very inconsiderate and rude.
I feel very sad and sorry for the two people that work here. The lady and the old man - i cant imagine anyone else would work here.what a depressing place.guy tried to charge me 3 dollars for using his tape and then just completely went berzerko on me. started calling the cops. honestly, im guessing he doesnt like brown people, just my honest 2cents. felt a bit racey.Obviously this guys not mentally stable which again, is very sad. I hope he doesnt go nuts on someone else.editt..... just realized a lot of people have the sames issues. I cant believe this kind of service is allowed to continue.
I went to fedex to send an old rocking chair I sold on ebay but they had no idea how to prep it to go. I took it back and tried ups. The UPS people had no problem packing and sending it. what a waste of time fedex was
I’d suggest the other one in town. That place didn’t charge me a dollar to print a label
Very rude! I’ll look elsewhere for my shipping needs.
I dropped my box with UPS tag on it and I did not get the receipt from them. after 3 weeks still my package has not got to destination and UPS says the package never got to their facilities and the store totally does not care what happened to the package and they say sorry we can not do anything about it!!
Bad attitude! The worst customer services I have ever had!!! Dont go to this store.
Giant lack of customer service and then charged me a dollar to return an Amazon package with free return. I won’t be going back.
Use mainly for late mail send outs. Customer Service leaves a little to desire but what you want. Next they will be out sourcing our mail.
They gave me limited information on what i needed and didnt seem to care to help me.
Rude unfriendly service, I will never go back.
Terrible customer service if you can call it customer service. I have my arm in a sling from surgery and the guy wont help me seal or put a label on the package. That stuff should be done before you come in the store.
The WE PRINT sign on the window is a lie. One of the fat guy is rude. I said the other UPS store prints, he said then you go there.
Terrible service. Went to get a document notarized (document drafted by my attorney). Their response was: we cant do that. When asked why, their response was we cant give legal adviceThanks for nothing.
Terrible. Rude employees and incompetent manager.
