Took my car in for a small dent on door, and it came back beautifully! Staff very nice, especially Teresa, who called me every day to give me updates on what was being done. Made it very easy for me to get a rental, which I really appreciated, and the total cost was less than what they quoted me, so that was a plus!

All they were doing was fixing damage on my bumper and drivers side headlight from an accident. Body repair looks great. Although somehow, my car no longer starts. my headlights were left on, (i noticed it when i tried to start it after they told me it wouldn’t start at all for them) so my battery was completely dead. they put in a new one, and it still wouldn’t start. so my starter is now somehow broken just from getting body repairs. dunno how that happened but 🤷🏻‍♂️🫖🐸

My car was towed to Schaefer after an accident, all arranged by my insurance company. Two hours after it was towed, Schaefer called to ask when I would like to bring my car in. When I told her the car was already there, she said it hadn’t arrived. Eventually after a second call, she figured out the car was on their lot. Not a great start!The estimate and repairs took two weeks. When I picked up the car, the receptionist was not wearing a mask (although large sign at the front door stated masks required). In addition, she was coughing and sneezing!! Luckily I wore a double mask. Needless to say I got out of there as fast as possible.The work they did appears good and the car drove fine on the way home. I am hopeful that the quality of the work is good.

A few weeks ago I gave it to God. On the 8th my car got hit in the rear bumper. The next day I go for an estimate and these 2 young guys who were so nice fix my car bumper for free and wouldnt take any food or money for payment. They were so nice and I left. They did a great job and it took just a few minutes. A few days later I see a sign at a midas shop in overland with Proverbs 3:27.these 2 guys who fixed my car were a sign from god. Thanks so much.addendum. after my mechanic couldnt do this hiccup to my car in time and the dealer had lied to me... Once again I took my car to your shop just to have a piece of trim removed to see the condition of third brake light assembly. Dylan look at it promptly and had the tech do the job. A very simple request and what I asked was done instantly and with a smile and very professional. Dylan and the tech were so kind to help me out and I paid a slight fee for labor. I was given an estimate before the work was done, not only did they come in at the exact cost of the estimate to my surprise they touched up spots in a completely different area that wasn’t even on the estimate!! My Tesla model X needed a new lift gate after I backed into the garage door. Schaefer is the only shop certified by Tesla in St. Louis to do this kind of repair. After reading online some of the horror stories by Tesla owners about delays and costs with other shops in different parts of the country, I was expecting the worst. But Schaefer surprised me with their service and the reasonable cost to complete the job. So Tesla owners don’t fear! Schaefer knows what they’re doing.

Outstanding job! Ive had my car back nearly a week now, and it seems to be 100% - cant find a single problem with it.Overall, Id say it took a really, really long time from my initial repair quote until the car was finished and ready to pick up... But having it done correctly is more important than having it done quickly, and it appears that the work was absolutely perfect.

I was originally told that the repair would take 5 days. It was 2 and 1/2 weeks. You had to order a panel from CA and I understand that took time but I wonder whether that length of time could have been shorter. The car looks great. All staff was great.

Great service. Vehicle received damage to the bumper and they had it fixed in short time. Looks great and they even detailed the interior of the car. Hope I never have to have autobody work ever again but if I do, Im using Schaefer Autobody always.

Never saw the repairs made or my car again!My car was backed into and the persons insurance company said I had to obtain an estimate for repairs from Schaefer. When I received the estimate I agreed to have Schaefer make the repairs because I didnt see my car getting fixed by any other auto body place for that price. Turns out the estimate was more than half the actual cost of the repairs. When I went in to pick up my car, I waited 15 minutes before they realized they couldnt find my car and I was told the police were on their way because my car was stolen! Schaefer Autobody has a secure back lot with a gate however my car was not parked in their secured lot. This place also has no cameras! I had to obtain footage from Jim Butlers security system. I was also told by the manager that this was as if I left my car at Target and that she would call Enterprise to see if they had any cars available. After making the police report and getting my attorney involved we were able to get Schaefer to admit fault however the amount I ended up receiving from their insurance company was nearly 10,000 less than the value of my car on KBB. After working hard and paying off my dream car I am now left feeling regretful that I took my car to Schaefer because it was not secured. I would not recommend anyone take their car here for that reason.

Things took forever, but it was not their fault. Parts were hard to get. Their service is extraordinary. There was a small but important problem with the repairs. A guy came to my work to get my car, take it to the shop, and fix it, and returned it fixed. That all was while I worked and did not miss a beat. Really helpful.

Schaefer Auto Body did an excellent job of fixing my car! They kept me informed the whole time and were very professional and cheerful. They cleaned my car better than it has ever been clean before!

My experience with Schaefer was excellent. Another car backed into me hitting just above my passenger wheel, causing a dent, scratches, etc. I went in for an appraisal, they took pictures, all told about 5 minutes. The appointment date was set a ways out, I guess they are busy. It took about a week for the repair, and they called several times to update me on the process and the target date for pickup. All of my interactions with them were fast and easy. They also cleaned the inside and out of my car, including the leather seats (yes!). They handled the insurance company completely, and there were no repairs that werent covered. When I arrived for pickup, my car was all shiny and clean, I couldnt tell there had been any damage, and it worked just fine. Their initial estimate was very low (about 1/3 the end cost), but they told me upfront that there is almost always additional costs they wont know about until they start working on the car (which I think is fair since the estimate was based on a few exterior pictures). Im not a car person, so I cant claim to know if they did extra work or overcharged or anything. They are right next to Enterprise, where my rental was through, so that was extremely convenient to just walk over and get my rental. It was far more hassle-free than I had anticipated.
