I came in to the store to unlock my phone the first sales rep gave me the web address to do so. I decided to do it in the store incase there were any issues and there was. Next guy didnt get his name. He told me I dont know and Im not sure several times. I said Ive typed everything in correctly several times. He says well is it typed in correctly? Ah, yes.. he said oh it must be the wrong security code. I said I double checked with my sister and its the correct code. He said oh is it typed in correctly? Ah,yes it is Ive tried a few times. He said let me put you on our waiting list so someone can help you. He went to aid another customer. I waited an hour and James was amazing He said oh you just need authorization and there still a little bit left to pay on your phone. We dealt with that. Now its a 24 hour wait to unlock my phone. Not really sure why the second guy couldnt do that. I dont know if it was inexperience or he was about to leave and didnt want to deal with it. I wish I would had James first he got everything done quickly and treated me professionally.
They are very good at technical issues as well as in sales.
Very unpleasant experience at this store. I went to see about upgrading, and I was told that I needed authorization from the account holder. I have shared this account with my brother for over ten years. When I authorized myself through the online portal, they basically treated me like a criminal.I understand the need for security, but it seems like it would have been pretty easy to verify my identity. I suggested calling my brother, and they said no, mentioning something about how suspicious it was that I had returned so quickly...It felt very dehumanizing.
Robin did an amazing job and had a great attitude the whole time! She was helping another customer and I, but checked on us both equally while we were waiting for our phone transfers.
After making an appointment and driving an hour to this store for help i was told there was nothing they could do to remedy my hotspot problem. This was on an at&t supplied phone with service from at&t !! Why have a storefront if you cant help your own customers? The real issue was inattentiveness of the staff, as a phone call to customer support had me up and running in twenty minutes.
Louis and staff are excellent to work with. They fixed the mistakes that the Chippewa Falls store had made and refused to fix. Louis, Tony, and Kylee were all super professional and went above and beyond to treat me as a valued customer. I highly recommend the Eau Claire AT&T Store!
A friendly young gentleman assisted me and my husband. He was helpful and honest and spent much time helping us. I was not going tohave us switch over but his customer service is what made us make the decision to switch to AT&T. We visited 3 times for our transaction. Throughout our time, the veteran staff did not seem helpful to him. At our 2nd appointment, his coworker(s) seemed annoyed at his asking for advice/help and there seemed to be a scuffle occurring amongst them during our hours there. The young man helping us handled it very professionally but others did not. He seemed to need help but was not receiving it. He set up our new phones and we headed home.On our hour drive home from switching our phones over from Verizon to AT&T, (which also took hours) we got a message from Verizon letting us know the wrong code had been entered and that our new phones have in fact not been correctly activated and were told we would need to turn on our old phones (which had been disabled) in order to get the information needed to activate our new phones. After yet another hour struggling with Verizon customer service then AT&T, repeat, etc. (this time with our 4 children we had already picked up from the babysitter) we were able to get it working…but had to drive home rather than visiting grandparents as planned because we had to have a computer to resolve the issue due to our 4 phones all now not working.Initially, when we made the decision to switch, we were led to believe both our phones would qualify for $350 returns. When we went in, however, 1 of our phones was denied for any return due to a minor scuff in the corner (not on the screen). That was disappointing to find out at our 2nd appointment rather than when making our decision with price quotes for the trade in of both. However, we went ahead with the change anyway, (had already hired a babysitter and drove the hour there.) Upon leaving, we were told to bring our other old phone back for a trade in value of $350 at a later date. When we brought it back, the young man who had been so helpful previously was busy with another couple and the manager assisted us.The manager assured us we were mistaken and that the phone could not be traded in. (We had chosen the wrong phone for trade-ins to be effective, apparently.) We assured him we were told we could trade it in, and he continued to tell us we were wrong. The young man could tell there was an issue and recognized us and very honestly and humbly told the store manager what he had promised us. The store manager told him he was wrong. The young man apologized and retuned to his customers.Now that the manager finally believed us, he said he could try to correct it. The conversation was extremely frustrating as I asked clarification questions, trying to ensure we weren’t getting screwed out of the $350 for the phone. Long story short, he was only going to give us $110 (his reasoning was once the $110 was added to other deductions it would add up to $350). So now, rather than having $700 trade in we initially thought we would be getting, we were down to $110. The manager was extremely condescending and clearly needed the last word throughout the back and forth discussion. When saying I would like to take my phone with the new offer to the vehicle where my spouse was watching our 4 children to discuss that the phone is now only worth $110, he interrupted to snarkily let me know it’s actually only worth $35…We kept our very nice, great working condition “$35” iphone. We left feeling frustrated with the attitude of the manager and feeling sorry for the young man who was simply trying to do his best in his working environment which is clearly toxic. During our 3 visits, he was friendly and had excellent customer service. He may have a lot to learn yet but I suggest his coworkers and managers take some notes from him as well in regards to professionalism.And as I see the store manager will be the one responding, I’ll wait for the last word to be taken yet again…

Great teamwork at the Eau Claire Golf Rd store...they all worked together to resolve the issue with my service. I will always go to them. Very pleased!!

I have been having a particularly stressful time. I had several issues and needed someone who was knowledgeable. I am 80 years old and do not always express myself in the correct technical terms. Louis was very respectful and patient. He listened and made sure that I understood exactly how to resolve all my problems. To coin your phrase, He is the Best Part of AT&T.
The knowledge and especially the patience of the staff is awesome and beyond appreciated! Tasha was extremely patient and got us going with an update to an old phone and a new device. We were back in two days later with an issue and Michael went above and beyond. We can’t thank them enough. We also appreciate all the safety precautions the store is taking.
I scheduled an appointment on line to go in and have my phone updated because I dont know squat about those things and it is a business wireless which I didnt want to mess up. Tony and Kelsie assisted me and they were superior in their patients, customer service, humor, and knowledge. Thank you for helping me, you are the BOMB!
Bad experience with kelsie. Have had good experiences with other people there. Just overall bad attitude and couldnt answer questions. I would go out of my way to not have her as a sales person again
The lady who was there was very helpful. She solved the issue that Lake Halie couldn’t figure out. This store is very positive and they do the best They can to make sure your happy before you leave.

She is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and made it a fun experience for us. By far the best phone buying experience I’ve had! They are lucky to have her and if you are in need of any services I recommend asking for her specifically. 5/5 stars!!
This review isnt specifically for the Eau Claire store, but just for AT&T in general. I switched over and have had nothing but problems since. They originally overcharged me and I had to jump through several hoops to get a refund. My data randomly decides to stop working, my VM doesnt allow me to set it up normally, so I get peoples voicemails 7-10 days after they leave them, and Ive been getting a dramatic amount of spam emails and texts. They also send a large amount of texts about marketing and plan details, which Im sure I already opted out of online. They say the only way to stop the spam texts is to download some robocall blocker app, but I really dont trust them worth a hoot with my personal info. As soon as we get fiber laid I am switching back to Straight Talk. Waste of my time.
I hate AT&T on principle, but this is the best AT&T location Ive ever visited, and Ive had AT&T since it was Cingular. I cant remember the name of our salesperson but he was super helpful, didnt hide any fees or dumb stuff, and answered every question we had in detail. He did try to upsell us once, but backed off and didnt try again when we obviously didnt go for it. I really wish I could remember his name! He also checked for some inventory for me even though he knew it wasnt in stock - but the fact that he checked for me anyway was really touching!
My family has been an AT&T customer for several years and I have stopped by this store multiple times in the past few months when I have had questions about my phone and changing our plan. Every employee has been extremely helpful and courteous. The past couple of times I have had the pleasure of working with Kylie. She has went above and beyond normal job duties to assist me, answered all my questions very knowledgeably and was very patient and kind.

Louis, the general manager was exceptional in helping with my factory warranty replacement procedure and data transfer to my new Galaxy Fold. He helped look at the defective galaxy phone and had it inspected. After dropping notes into my account that insured a trouble free exchange with AT&T. He helped ship the phone as well. The experience I had here in Eau Claire was amazingly trouble free. Highly recommended as this is a corporate store with highly professional staff. Will come again FOR SURE!
I went in on 8/11/20 to sign up for AT&T Wireless service and was told in store that if I canceled my service within 3 days, there would be no charges for that usage.When I got home, I found out att.com had a $250 gift card for signing up and no activation fees. I called customer service and they said “too bad, so sad. We’re not giving you the gift card.” The Eau Claire store said the same thing.So the next day, 8/12/20, I transferred my service back to T-Mobile. A week goes by and AT&T sends me a BILL for $91.87 for 24 hours of service. Again, I call customer service and they say I owe the entire amount but the bill may be prorated a few days later.A few days go by and the bill is still the same. I head back to the Eau Claire store on 8/22/20 to explain what happened and quoted the 3-day refund policy they told me. The store associate said the manage would credit my account and it should show up immediately.It’s now 8/24/20 and AT&T still says I owe $91.87 in nine days.Update: I checked my bill again yesterday, 9/2/20, and it appears the credits did go through. The employees at the Eau Claire store are very kind but the company/brand as a whole was difficult to work with.

This place is okay at best. Just about always leave feeling meh. Everything takes so long. And well AT&T in general is a meh phone service. My reception is hit or miss.But honestly I have not had the best of luck with any phone service in my travels. Im only here because of my wife.

Had a great experience yesterday! Joy was kind, patient and helped us chose the best deal for our family. We switched over from another carrier and added a line, so there was more work involved and she never made us feel rushed in our decisions. I would highly recommend going to AT&T!
Tony was great! He was able to fix a problem with my bill that saved me $120, gave me honest advice about upgrading my phone and made me aware of WiFi calling (I know, I must be old) so my reception at home is now perfect.Ive been consistently impressed with the level of service at this store. Clearly the manager does a terrific job with hiring and training.
I havent used the AT&T for over 10 years. I think they have the best coverage in the nation. This location the gentleman was very helpful were able to answer all my questions. Fix all my problems on my bill and with my phone. They resolved all my issues. Very knowledgeable about equipment that I was interested in. Will be back to this location again.
I’ve been an AT&T customer for 8 years. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with my phone until I went fishing and dropped my phone in the lake. I was expecting my phone to take a lengthy time to be replaced, but Kylie went above and beyond and got my phone replaced the same day. She was a pleasure to work with, and I recommend anyone to work with her when they stop in!

My Mummy had some issues with her flip phone. They werent able to help with that particular issue, as the phone is obsolete. BUT they were so kind and offered suggestions that could potentially help. Very friendly employees. I appreciate that they were honest and didnt try to sell us anything!!
First lady didnt bother to help she said she would help with billing or an upgrade poor customer service. After being on the customer service line for a while I walked back in and the guy helped me resolve the problem he did a great job great customer service.

This the the only store in the area that services business accounts. I drive almost an hour to get there and arrived 25 minutes before closing. After waiting a few minutes, sales person said she closes in 20 minutes and didnt think she could get me finished by closing so I would have to come back tomorrow... Previously excellent service, tonight they wasted two hours of my time.Update: next visit, Staff Member Joy went way above and beyond for us! Stayed late despite fighting with frustrating company software that wouldnt cooperate and worked to get us squared away!Fabulous service from Joy!

The salespeople here will tell you what thy need to make a sale. I bought an iPhone and within two weeks, they came out with a buy one get one free deal. I went in the store to see if I still qualified because my phone was already purchased. My girlfriend had a paid off phone and wasn’t on a contract, so we wouldn’t have bought the new phone if we weren’t going to get it for free.Fast forward over a year later and I’m still paying for the phone that was supposed to be free. This store is going to cost me $900 because the sales person told me I would still qualify for a free phone. Support tells me to talk to the store, the store tells me to talk to support.Do yourself a favor and avoid this store and avoid AT&T.
Should be zero stars. Went today to notify of fraud on my account (two unauthorized devices in Grand Rapis MI were added), was told there was nothing that the store could do. Neat.

I dont blame the salesman for his training, there corporate training is awful. I went in for something real small but before he could even start to help he went through 10 min. of bureaucratic red tape. Then he tried to sell me There tv internet package. Bottom line is they couldnt help me with my small item why would I want something bigger when they cant help with the small stuff. Wasted my time and I was all set to switch.

We were from out of town and had some questions about adding another line. The lady working that evening was incredibly rude. I didnt want to even buy a car charger from her but I needed one. A smile and an introduction goes a long ways.
We bought the covert cameras from scheels about a year ago with the promise from AT&T and their reliable service and (inconveniently) the only service that would work with these cameras to help with home security. We have had problems almost every month with not the cameras, but with AT&T and the incompetent people they have working at this store. I think all but one month we had to take the cameras down to have money added back onto them manually and to have them reprogrammed. Tried going online and adding the correct package 1000 messages but said package did not exist, and going into the store, because one would think people working there would be able to handle just adding the 1000 messaging package to the phone numbers associated with the cameras wouldnt be anything special, also proves to be impossible. Every month, EVERY MONTH, someone screws something up. I really am impressed with the quality of the cameras, when they are working, but I will not continue to use AT&T paired with the cameras. Hurry up Verizon, you have a customer waiting.

We went to att with the plan to change from Verizon. Logged in. Waited patiently. Several people came in after us and were wondering taken before us. Two techs waited on one lady that had a screen protector installed. We walked out. Were staying with Verizon.

Went in with a billing issue - we had changed our auto pay date, but apparently that was never done. Our service was suspended and we were charged for it. Called to figure it out and when the representative wasnt ignoring us we were being condescended. I wish we hadnt gotten a contract because we just want to cancel service and be done, but the charge for that is huge.
