Had a controller purchased for me as a gift from my grandma. I was sold a used controller marked as new. Two seconds looking at this controller was enough to tell it was not new. My sweet grandma felt awful and tried to purchase another, double checking with me before purchase that it was marked New but when I got it, again it is clearly used. Plus this one even is missing a branding logo so is it counterfeit?? Straight lies, SKETCHY. Not recommended, shop literally anywhere else.

They sell defective items claiming “used but like new”. Bought an expensive Vr headset and it was claimed to be tested prior to shipment but clearly the device didn’t work. What do these people use to test if a device works properly because obviously it isn’t accurate at all. Just buy brand new or buy from a different seller!!

I placed bids on 2 different Xbox one S controllers and was very pleased at the quality of the products that I recieved. Also, shipping time was less than 72hrs from sale!

Purchased a used copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, came in a mildly damaged case but the disc is near mint. Shipping took a few days but that was amazons fault, they were very quick to respond when I had a question about my order as well. Great experience so far and would buy from them again, its rare to find an electronics/videogame retailer that ships to Canada like this.

I bought a refurbished ps4 from this place on eBay for my boyfriend. It was auctioned off and I won the auction and ended up spending around $320 on it. When it first arrived it worked for about an hour until it started lagging so bad that none of the games would even launch anymore. So I decided to start a return through eBay, and Goldstar tech emailed me to let me know I’d be receiving a full refund. Well after that, the ps4 started working again. So i gave it a few days and it was still working fine so I decided to keep it. Well, not even a DAY after the last day I could return it passed it stopped working entirely. It went back to lagging so hard that no games would launch, and the system would just turn off at random. Since I missed the deadline to return it I was out of options. I had no other choice but to bring it in to UBREAKIFIX and get a diagnosis for what was wrong with it. Turns out it was a faulty hard drive. Had to buy a new one and got it fixed for $170. Works just fine now but the fact I ended up spending almost $500 in total (the price of a ps5....sigh) on this ps4 when I was originally told that this ps4 was in good working condition is just so wrong. I would assume most of Goldstar Tech’s inventory has no issues, maybe just the consoles (as I’ve seen in the reviews). Just a fair warning to anyone who might shop with them in the future, be careful buying consoles because you’re at risk of buying a faulty item and potentially having to spend hundreds more to get it fixed. Wish this didn’t happen, but this was definitely a lesson learned.

So I bought a refurbished PlayStation VR system for $400, paid for priority shipping, everything went well it arrived in a couple days. I got home and hooked everything up and something didn’t work I wasn’t getting power to the processor unit. So I made a return request and they approved and I sent it back and got my refund within 3 days from the day they received it they were good about making it right. I give them 2 stars just for the simple fact that it was a major inconvenience where they basically wasted my time and tied up my $400 for a few weeks. I personally wouldn’t ever do business with them again however it’s good to know that atleast if something goes wrong they’ll make it right for you and I appreciate that.

Scammers. Do not understand how they are not shut down. They sell broken consoles as “perfect condition”. What they do should be illegal. Have filed a report with the BBB. Ordered something from Amazon that was through this company. Signed up for one day shipping, it didn’t ship until 3 days later. Then it got delayed in transit pushing it even further back. Gotta love needing something, paying extra for the delivery, then getting it way later than expected.Item arrived a day later in perfect packaging. Just be aware of the shipping because there is some differences between Amazon’s shipping and Golds.

Not only did I not receive it, but when I contacted the company for a refund they refused, so now I am having to call Amazon and my card company to be refunded the money from these scammers. The worst experience. I ordered a headset that was defective out of box. They wanted a picture of the problem. How you take a photo of no sound is beyond me. Communication with them was poor. I ended up getting stuck with $9.25 in shipping to return THEIR defective product. After doing homework, it appears this is not uncommon. Ive learned my lesson and wont make any more purchases from them.

I paid FULL PRICE for a NEW Nintendo Switch. When it arrived in the mail, it was just parts thrown loose in a shipping box. It had no original box, no original packaging, not even a users manual! To make matters worse, the Switch was all scuffed and dirty! It even had glue from a price sticker on the back of the console, so they were obviously trying to sell it used out of the box already! They are frauds and they stole my money!

I ordered a Nintendo switch and a few days later the left controller started to drift. Emailed goldstar and they offered to replace the controller with free shipping. They emailed me a return label and after I returned the controller they sent me a new one a few days later free of charge. They answered my emails promptly and they were great to work with.

I have ordered with Goldstar twice now and I couldn’t be happier! The Bose headset I bought for a steal and they’re the most amazing headphones I’ve ever owned, which I was very impressed with seeing as they were previously owned. Regardless, they were in excellent condition. I will definitely be ordering with them again, they’re now my go to for electronics.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. A complete scam. The company cannot be contacted over the phone. After numerous unanswered calls I emailed the company. I received a response via email. I requested to return an item and it took THREE EMAILS requesting to return before they sent me the instructions to return the item. I had to explicitly state “Yes, I wish to return the item”. Apparently stating “I want to return my item” is somehow not good enough. I haven’t yet received the item and instead of cancelling the shipment as I requested I’m being charged $10 + shipment costs to send it back + a RESTOCKING FEE of 25%. I want to say again, this is on an item I haven’t even received, haven’t opened, is not in my possession.SAVE YOURSELF. Order direct from Amazon Prime or Amazon Warehouse. Do not buy from this company.

Awful customer service. Awful customer treatment. I won a bid on a smartwatch that resulted in me winning the item for much less than MSRP (50% less or so). There was an error in my address so I immediately reached out to eBay and the company to have the issue resolved. EBay confirmed that the address was updated and sent a message to the seller. I received a message from the seller with a threat to cancel my order if they didnt hear back from me by 7am. I responded asking to work with the customer service department to resolve the issue. They again responded with a threat to cancel my order by 7am. I mentioned that I would review the company commensurate to the level of customer service I received—which was poor, and the Customer Service Manager, Jolene, called me a feedback extortionist and breached our contract by cancelling my order without consent. I was willing to talk on the phone to work out the details. I called Goldstar Tech Inc three times (in which, as another reviewer wrote, they did not answer). I called eBay three times, and all seemed fine until I kept receiving the threats to cancel from the seller. Ultimately, they relisted the item, probably hoping to achieve a higher bid price.I will NEVER buy from this company again, and neither should you.

They were resistant to giving me my money back and return shipping label.Update*The seller approved the refund request and a return shipping label. Ordered Skyrim VR from them on Amazon. They gave me a case that says Skyrim VR but the disc inside is the non-VR version of the game. They sent me the right case with the wrong disc. Ive been calling them throughout their business hours but nobody answers the phone. Sent them two emails and now Im waiting for their response. If they correct the mistake, Ill give them a better score.

(Amazon Purchaser)never order from them i ordered a used hori fightpad controller (not much cheaper than a new one i might add) for the xbox one with the item description: original box may be damaged but, the controller is in perfect working condition. only to find out when it gets here that the left directional button on the dpad doesnt even work how am i supposed to play fighting games with no directional inputs. if i could give it a negative rating i would how can you describe something as perfectly working only to sell an unusable controller. Also in the two days they were supposed to contact me after i requested my refund i heard nothing back and had to file a claim through amazon just to start the refund process

I ordered a refurbished Xbox one elite controller and I broke in the first two weeks of me having it when I bought I got a 2 year warranty and for over the past year I’ve been trying to return it I’ve given them all the order information and they won’t take it back because it is not in there 30 return limit so I kind of got scammed. They told me to go to to the manufacturer of the product and I did, they told me I didn’t order from them so for over a year I’ve been tossed around by these company’s. Customer service is awful! I eventually went to the BBB and they helped me out and I finally got a email from a REAL person who gave me a number to call.

If I could give zero stars I would. Lets see where do I begin? Purchased an Xbox one remote with gold star tech via eBay in mid October. Paid for them via PayPal and went about my business for the day. It wasnt until I checked the day after that I noticed the quantity of remotes mistakingly said 2 instead of 1 so I had been double charged. Seeing that they hadnt shipped the items yet I requested eBay to cancel and just send me one. No response from seller, just a notification that my package shipped a few days later. Assuming they missed the cancel request I just started a regular return through eBay. Was sent an invalid or expired shipping label, emailed the company, again nothing. To my ever lasting regret I just shipped the item myself without the upgraded tracking. Checked back in with them a couple of weeks later and the only response I got was from eBay stating that my refund request had been rejected. It was only then that Goldstar responded and they said they never got it. In all the years of shipping things this has never happened. They got the return and knew it wasnt tracked. They happily took my money and my return which is stealing. Would not trust this company for they are theives.

They sent me the wrong item, and I have to wait for my return to get back to the store in order to get the right item. Wont get my item before Christmas now.
