Made an appointment for 8:30 today but headed over early to see if I could be seen sooner. Staff was polite and went out of their way to make sure the experience ran smoothly. Took a little long than expected but we had great customer service. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy.

Bad service. Took over 5 hrs and two days to sell you guys a car. I would have bought a car but it took forever to just sell you one. Your offer was too low, I feel taken advantage of and will never go back as will definitely advise people to go elsewhere.
My mom wanted to sell her old truck. I went online to several websites and this give me a price quote. Some people were trying to buy the truck from her were giving her less money. I told my mom we could try to go here to see if the price they quoted was true. My mom and I were doubtful. We drove there in that truck. Everything was done really fast. We were surprised where the price quoted was not changed and within an hour my mom had a check in her hands. We ended up leaving on an Uber vehicle. It was an awesome experience.

And I must say that CarMax sells quality used vehicles.Stay away from the call center. Visit a CarMax Center if possible.
I went in with an offer for my car. After the appraisal, the offer stayed the same and I accepted. They agreed to pay off my existing loan, and gave in the remainder in a check. Only complaint is the wait times, but it is a large dealership, so it is to be expected.
My family and I had a really great experience; not just because we received a fair offer on our vehicle; but on the 2019 ford mustang we purchased; can not say enough good things about the sales assoc. Currently at store. Employee just told me call my cell, we dont answer phones at this store. I may ask for another salesperson.Very unhappy to be employed here it seems. Gave me a whole spill about anti vaccination. Freaked out I had a fire arms license. Almost was asked to leave the premises including parking lot while being helped. The vibe I get is the lady hates me because I carry and vaccinate.Wanted to do more shopping but felt rushed like associate couldnt help me. Went to a chevy dealer getting better prices more on my trade in and more options.

The online offer was fair and the whole process took less than two hours to sell the car and walk out with a check (bank draft). 100% better than any experience I have ever had with a local dealership. CarMax is the way that cars should be bought and sold. I will be a regular customer for buying and selling cars through CarMax for years to come.
Honestly, the worst place I have ever worked with. Easier to buy my house than it was to buy a vehicle from these people. I have been back and forth multiple times, was there for 7 hours today, and still havent been able to pick up my truck. Everything I go, there is a new requirement I need for them. Its honestly the worst experience I have ever had with sales, and they are not even sorry or doing anything to make up for it. If I could give negative stars I would. The people are nice, but very difficult to work with. It is just insane how terrible this place is. The only upside was how friendly Daniel and Isaak were.

Had to go back 3 times for a simple repair; lever to adjust the passenger side 2nd row seat. Part not in first time, wrong part in on 2nd visit.. hoping 3rd visit sees resolution. They dont seem to be very timely in service.
Isaak was so professional, helpful, and pleasant. Selling my car was hard due to all the nostalgia attached but he was very patient and kind throughout the entire process. Additionally, the business office staff was just as kind and understanding and made the process very painless. The location was clean, upbeat, and comfortable. If I ever desire to sell any cars in the future, I will for sure go through CarMax. I also intend to get my kids first cars from here as I can only assume the same type of service when purchasing! The people were very friendly and accommodating. We were directed immediately upon arriving in the building and greeted by very knowledgeable individuals. They processed our paperwork quickly and asserted our car. We were given the same assessment as that done on line. The entire visit took us less than an hour from arrival to departure.

Customer service was excellent from when we first stepped into Carmax and at end when we sold our car. There was no gimmicks at all. It was quick and easy. Would recommend to anyone.
Very disappointed in the service department of this establishment. After having brought my vehicle in to fix a pre existing issue found at the time of purchase, I waited 4 hours to get a “diagnosis.” I was forced to leave my vehicle their overnight so the team could order parts. The next day after another 4 hour wait I was informed by the reps that the technicians ordered the wrong parts. Again, another 24 hour wait. After the service was finally complete, I realized that now my back windows didn’t work. It was clear the technicians just didn’t plug something back in correctly. After a month long wait for another “appointment.” I arrived at the scheduled time 10am. It’s almost 3pm, still here, and this technician is supposedly stumped. Just know this company may give you those 90 days of any repairs that need to be done, but don’t bother, just pay the money somewhere else if you have the means. This incompetence level and unprofessionalism isn’t worth it. The saving grace is their service desk clerks are polite and understanding.
I bought my new vehicle over 6 months ago from Car Max and the sale of my old car and purchase of the new vehicle was done quickly and easily. On the other hand, the vehicles license plates were supposed to be mailed. I still have not received them and I have been printing temporary paper tags instead. CarMax please do not advertise a vehicle for sale if you dont have all your paperwork in order!

Got a Ram 1500 Longhorn, the buying experience was ok, but they did put a pretty big scratch in the drivers side passenger door when they were getting it to me that is appearing nearly impossible to get resolved.Would probably have been nice to have had the $199 delivery fee applied to my purchase as well.

Bought my 2017 Dodge Ram two weeks ago just finished cleaning the front and back seats because they were filthy, I replace a parking lightbulb because it was burnt out. Put air in the tires because all tires were low. I am glad the truck went thru an inspection to ensure everything was up and running couldnt imagine what the truck would have been if it hadnt!

I had a vehicle shipped to my local location which arrived quicker than expected. Problem was I had to wait about two weeks for Carmax to get their paperwork straight to even see or test drive the vehicle. I decided to make the purchase when I was able to see the vehicle. Sales person was great and it was an easy process. The business office was very slow and what should have taken an hour or two at most, took more than six hours. On top of all that, I was waiting for my paperwork to register the vehicle and once again, the business office, sent it to the wrong address. Seems to be a lack of verification or clerical errors that causes delays with their processes. Just be prepared to contact them possibly more than once about document issues or delays when making a purchase.
They seem to have a good selection of vehicles. My only drawback is that some of the vehicles are on hold or transfers for a customer but they arent always marked with that info. Most of the QR codes on the vehicle info card to check for holds are hard for the camera to read due to location of card or very tinted windows. Could have easily purchased one on the spot but found it was on hold for a test drive, off to the next dealership.

Selling my previous vehicle and buying from then wasn’t originally an issue, the sales associates had great customer service. The issue however arose from the business office. After 7 months of waiting I still haven’t received my plates for my vehicle and it’s very annoying having to go back in every month for paper plates. Every time I ask about it, I get a run around from an employee and the “supervisors” always seem to be in hour long meetings so they can never meet me.
Gilbert helped us with a wonderful smile and gave us all the information that we need it. I’m amazed at how quick and efficient the process is here. The workers are not after your money, they genuinely want to assist you. I highly recommend buying a car from them.

Do not buy their warranties!!I bought the best warranty and when it came time to fix a simple problem, they had no time for me so they sent me to another mechanic shop Need for SpeedThen the warranty was denied!I was forced to deal with that shop( my car was already there) which was another awful experience, do not let them force you into taking it to Need for Speed.Dont buy the warranties from Carmax and Dont go for Need for Speed if you are in El Paso TX

I bought a 2018 GM Sierra 2500 14,900 miles form Car-max in Naples FL, this was the second truck that I had pouched from them. Unfortunately after washing the truck I discovered a lot of scratches that had been paint marker-ed over by car-max and also discovered it was in an unreported accident witch they covered up using touch-up paint markers as well. unfortunately now I am stuck with a truck with a bad paint job. Will never buy or recommend them to anyone else. Truly disappointed. Photos to follow.
It was my first time selling any of my vehicles and the ladys, working in the business office, made it memorable experience.
Requested a purchase order to give to my bank no one knew how to get one when they did they sent one of 3 pages. Tried calling several times no one answered was on hold for hours. Replied to email did not get a reply. So difficult to get a hold of someone without going to the store it’s ridiculous.
El Paso CarMax had been a generally good experience. They really took care of us; especially Ruben. The vehicle we purchased had some issues in terms of possible mold and they notified us immediately. They also provided us a rental, free of charge, for the duration until they can confirm the mold to be removable - which they will do. Furthermore, if the mold is a no-go, then they will provide us with alternatives.Great, responsible, highly reputable.

Bad service went to see a truck and to ask if I could see the truck from inside basically ask what anyone does get info and actually see the car from inside that’s the whole point of going to buy a car right well this employee told me they had to run my credit first to see the vehicle and to get the price, . But didn’t get nothing. All take my money we’re they care and are willing to help you and take there time on selling you a vehicle.

I had a great experience with Carmax. I used the app to browse their inventory and scheduled a test drive which reserved the vehicle so no one can buy it out from under me. My vehicle had some minor electrical issues and was missing some of the original accessories that it came with but the Carmax service department fixed all the issues and replaced the accessories the next day. Overall im very pleased with the service and quality with them.
I was leary at first I mean buying a car online and then coming to the dealership. I didnt know what to expect. Then my associate got me in for a test drive and we found that the car was what we were told was very impressed with my associate. He went through every option he could think of to help us. I really think that if not for his performance I would have given up. Then after our purchase when we called with an issue, he still got us attention from the proper department. I have recommended Carmax and will continue to do so.
I dont know what was quicker the me getting my car transferred or the me receiving my plates and tags have not heard of them yet after waiting for a good 2 months how frustrating i thought carmax stands for a hassle free experience. I expected more from them, this couldve been a better car shopping experience.

Ive bought 11 or 12 cars in 5 states over 40 years and just made a purchase at CarMax on 1/2/20. It was the most relaxed/pressure free experience of my life. Our salesman Luis was friendly and knowledgeable. The entire process took a couple of hours, not the usual 7 or 8 hours. I dont think I will ever buy a car anywhere else.

I guess you can say there’s a good selection of cars. To bad most of them are pending or transfers. I went 3 weeks in a row looking at the same car and it was always pending. Got the run around a lot about that car. I was told they only hold them for 7 days and move on to the next customer. Well needless to say the 7 days have passed and I’m still waiting on that car. Not to mention you have to wait 1 hour to speak to a sales person.
So, I want to say I had an overall fantastic experience starting from the customer representative on the phone all the way down to the service employees. I had gotten pre-approved through their easy to use app for a car I had my heart set on. Then, Craig Clark called me to set everything up & we found out the car i wanted was sold but he was amazing at his job & was able to find me the exact same car I wanted but for $1k less! Once the car & papers to sign were ready, Jose A. Rodriguez was extremely nice & helpful with answering my many questions & got me going with my beautiful car! A few weeks later I had to take my car in for minor service repairs (interior scratch & gas door replacement) & Ro Chavez Wells was so sweet & excellent with getting my appointment set & making sure my car was in great hands. When I picked up my car, I noticed they had washed it & even topped off my tires with air! And I swear they even topped of my gas! (Probably not) Now, I dont know if thats just CarMax standards but those are little things I really appreciate as a customer! Highly recommend! I love love my car and CarMax!
Shipped a car in from phoenix and it took 3 weeksTook another 2 weeks to get through inspectionOnce it was ready I test drove the car and committed to buying it. Once my financing institution was ready to finalize everything (3 days after I test drove it and having constant communication with the employee about my intent to buy through those 3 days) Carmax released the hold I had on the vehicle and sold it under me. Hands down the worst shopping experience Ive had. Will never shop there again.

My experience was great until the end. Went in pre-approved with Capital One. Process was smooth and the salesman was great. What pisses me off is I told them to only run my credit with Capital One. Weeks later, I look at my FICO and discover Carmax Auto Finance ran my credit as well.
Ooof! They low balled me, HAAAARD. Wouldnt negotiate at all. Stay away. Got $5k more with dealers working with Kelley Blue Book instant cash offers.... was very surprised at the difference and I am glad I went elsewhere. They DO NOT have your best interest in mind. Would recommend them over cheaper lots that sell as-is - if theres something wrong with the vehicle, theyll fix it.Salesman was helpful and courteous; they shipped my car from another location and even sent it to have the paint touched up.

Although I am grateful that I walked away with a car, I would be amiss if didnt warn other people. Make sure you get a car thats on the lot already. Because if the car isnt there you have to pay to bring the car to El Paso. But not before they run your credit to see if you qualify first. Which is fine BUT should the car you want become unavailable youll have to start the process over where you find another car and they run your credit AGAIN. When the car gets here your credit is then run AGAIN before they start the process of you getting your car.I fought this because hey my credit already had been ran 3 times at this point by this company and I stressed how hard I worked to get my credit in line before I came to buy a car. I even spoke with a manager who told me, this is just how we operate I think what bothers me to is they kept saying over and over, the credit bureaus will only see 1 credit inquiry from the same company. Yall.. no. Its been well over a month and Im still getting letters in the mail that say too many credit inquiries I didnt have all these inquiries until I worked with carmax.And lastly, I never actually got to see my car before purchase. Which I was waiting for the entire time. But unfortunately by the time all was said and done I had to run and get my children from school. Thank heavens the car was exactly like the description on the website. (Hard lesson learned here)I just hope another person is prepared with this information before going in and buying a car with t them.

I got my car at CarMax in June 2020 and I’m in the process of getting a new transmission. The experience has been horrible since day one. From getting an oil change to fixing some damages from when I bought the vehicle. The staff can be very incompetent for the exception of Jessica. They always have excuses and make me feel like they are doing me a favor. My car has now been in the shop that CarMax send me to for 3 weeks and I’ve had to rent my own vehicle because caremax only covers 7 days per claimed. I will no longer be taking my vehicle back to CarMax.
Because of Carmax, my husband has no job. My husband works for Uber which requires registration and tags before they will approve. Carmax put the wrong name on paperwork and everything had to be resent with the CORRECT NAME. Because of them, my husband has not been able to work since the end of April. My husband has lost $2000 which is for our monthly and they say it isnt their fault. Oh and my favorite part There isnt anything they can do except wait on the DMV
