Took my granddaughter there for her first exposure to wearing makeup. Thank you Linda for picking all age appropriate cosmetics and skincare products. She looked fabulous and the staff made her feel extra special and beautiful too.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated. I booked an appointment for the salon here over the phone and got everything confirmed but when i came at my time, the lady said that it had been canceled online. i never canceled and this made zero sense since for one, i booked over the phone and secondly, they never called to confirm cancellation. she said that immediately after they got my “so called cancellation”, she booked another client (for a higher paying appointment) at my time and just shook me off by rudely saying “sorry for the inconvenience.” i was left with no accommodation, which was particularly frustrating since i had a wedding to attend in an hour. absolutely ridiculous. i would give zero stars if it was an option.

Terrible Hair Experience. I went to get a hair cut, which was about $55 including the conditioning treatment. For the styling part if you want them to use a straightener or a curling iron is $40 dolars more? Firs of all my hair was humid and the lady started using the hair straightener, which I can straighten my hair better at home. My regular hair stylist charges me $55 for everything and I resulted to Ulta because she didn’t have space that day. $85 for something I can do better at home was such a disappointment. Never again

Helpful and friendly… customer service is great. However, especially during covid color matching shades has not been their fortay… definitely go in with a bare face, try some foundation on and give it 30-45 minutes before deciding. I did love that they provide samples of the clinique foundation. Thank you

Doesnt carry the same products as the store in Birdcage or the store in Rocklin. Staff is very helpful however often have to go to one of the other locations to get what I need.

Was literally just in the store for about 15 mins. I even accidentally set off a perfume alarm and no one came to help me. I’m going to buy my 4 bottles of perfume at Sephora. 😘 👋

I went to the store after a while of not going and I was surprised to see that they added exclusive brands like Chanel since the last time i had gone. The incorporation of all these different brands has increased the diversity of options in the store. This makes it more accessible for any and all customers to find a wider range of products or find specific items they were searching for. Furthermore, I liked how easy it is to return things at the store. In general Ive had great experiences at Ulta. The only thing that isnt great is that the coupons arent very useful because they only apply for things that arent very interesting to me and are very restrictive.

Typically Ulta is pretty busy when I come in and I am kind of just on my own. I am looking to make a change in my hair/skin care routine and Destiny was a big help. She gave honest recommendations, then let me look through her recommendations on my own for a bit and checked on me to see if I needed anything else. Destiny earned this Ulta 5 stars from me today.

I was in Ulta for the past hour or so, trying to find a new liquid eyeliner and matching my skin tone to a few different foundations. I was also playing with some glitter and eyeshadow palettes. I even asked this lady for help finding the eyelashes I wanted. So I grab one of the testers I tried earlier and walk over to the mirror to put it on, but the lady stops me and asks what I’m doing. I said I’m trying to decide on the eyeliner I want. She says things like “I don’t know what you’re doing here or what’s going on here” and I’m like well I’m using the tester to see which eyeliner I like? And she’s like “You can’t be using testers. I don’t know what’s going on here but you can’t be using testers” repeating herself over and over and I’m super confused like what do you mean? I’m repeating that I’m just trying to decide on an eyeliner. She then TAKES the eyeliner away from me and says “we don’t even have this one available right now” I’m like okay... literally too stunned and confused to respond. She walks away and I sit there for a second, then go back to where I got the tester from and there are TWO in the packaging on the shelf ready for sale. So I walk back over to her, deliberately look at her name tag, LAURIE, then back at her and say “Have a nice day!” It turns out she is one of the managers on duty! I called back to speak to the other manager about the situation. Anna reassured me that I was welcome in the store and that she wouldn’t want customers feeling the way I did leaving today.

Very friendly staff, they were helpful offering alternatives when the specific item I went in for was it of stock. I always feel like the store is cluttered when I go in, which makes shopping less enjoyable for me. Admittedly, its hard to keep things tidy with the amount of traffic and small products they have.

Wow wow wow!!! Paloma ROCKS!! I got my hair cut about 2 weeks ago after growing out the previous disaster (from another salon) for a full year. I loved it from the first minute!! I still loved it after the first wash!! (This is usually where I catch the random bad spot-even with a good stylist it can happen.) And now, as the highlights are no longer up against my scalp, I still love it!! I like a natural looking highlight, and mostly because of the grow-out stage being my least favorite look. Paloma feathered it in beautifully, and it just looks like vacation was a few weeks ago... exactly what I was after!! I am so happy to have found a stylist worth gushing about!!!Yes, theres was a line for the register. Honestly, thats the worst thing I encountered. And long lines can form when happy customers find lots of things to buy. Each floor associate I encountered was friendly and helpful and kind, especially considering that I was in on a no-makeup day! Thank you Ulta!! Thank you Paloma! You made this moms Beauty Day awesome! Thank you!!

Sales associate on July 2 in the afternoon was wearing her mask below her nose and seemed to really mind when I asked her to cover her nose and just looked at me. I felt very uncomfortable as it was at the cash register and I had to be within 6 feet of her. Store was very clean, but its not hard to wear masks.

Isabelle is amazing! So sweet and helpful, and really knows her stuff about makeup and skincare. I came in lost and needing a new foundation and she took the time to help me find the perfect one. Thank you Isabelle!

Honestly I HATE customer service here. You either get a super friendly, knowledgeable person who can answer questions and make recommendations, or MOST likely you get a flat affect, cake-faced gal with 2 inch fake eyelashes who is not helpful and is definitely not friendly. You typically cant use coupons on products like Clinique (which is what I buy here because its closer than going to a department store). I can never distinguish between the trash marketing spam and rewards program emails, and if you find one but theyve already rung up your purchase theyll typically just stare at you and say something like I dont think that will work if you request to cancel or reverse the purchase to try to apply the coupon or promo. Theres a lot of cool products but I typically get in and out with a specific purchase. With inconsistent at best to unfriendly at worst service, no reason to spend time or money browsing.

Messy store, poorly managed. Friday before Christmas, you would expect a lot of shoppers, but they only had two registers open. 40 people in line, and getting longer by the minute. One lady gave up and walked out; another two saw the line and left. After 20 minutes, I asked the manager about getting a third cashier; she said the sales people on the floor were cosmetics reps and couldnt work the register. (Presumably, the manager could, though.) Another 10 minutes passed, but still no third register. I am normally very patient, but that was it. As I left, I gave my bag of items to the cashier at the front and told her I was leaving. Not a Sorry or even an acknowledgement. I will never go back.

The shop girls kind of just ignore you and if you dont have or want to make an account with them, the cashier gets really rude.They have a lot of products, but so does sephora and the girls at sephora are SO much nicer.

Love this place. If you go be sure to save up your points. Its tempting to use them as they become available, but saving them to 1,000 or better yet 2,000 gives you more rewards!

This store is huge! They have everything you could want! I spoke with two separate staff members and overheard one more and all three were incredibly nice. The line was super long due to being short staffed but they handled it very professionally and all with smiles. I will definitely be returning to this location!

Store is small and no one here is helpful

Very addictive for those of us who like makeup, skin care, and various supplies. The sales staff is awesome, especially Shantal, who is sweet, accommodating and quite a salesperson. She has assisted me the few times Ive been there and truly tries to please! Some items are a bit pricey but theyre top-quality and last a long time.

They have a LOT of personnel in this store. Gals were really helpful without being pushy, but I still overbought. LolThey have most every dept store upscale product you could want, and even a few drug store brands thrown in for good measure. Some of the displays were pretty messy. Dont understand customers who leave messes and everything in disarray.Discounted items are at the front of the store in several racks. Some are open boxes, so you have to be careful if you purchase anything from there. Services (by appointment) are at the back of the store.You can return items within a generous 60 days if they dont work out, although you must have your receipt, and all the orig parts and packaging.

When I came in last Wednesday I had a very nice girl bri I think her name was help me out- we got me into the urban decay all nighter foundation she matched me a 7.75 . I wore it for a couple of days and noticed that i looked orange and something wasn’t right. I came back today and Alex was going to re match me and she perfectly matched me with a 7.0 I asked her if we could put the old one of the other cheek to compare and the first was wasn’t even close to my color! both girls were very friendly and awesome help either way. Alex made the experience even better

Used to be a favorite but as of the last few weeks to a month theyve been extremely understaffed. The last 2 times Ive gone in absolutely 0 staff asked if I need help. If you start to go towards them they turn around and walk away.

Customer service was offensive when the first person who approached us gave my girlfriend (probably because she looks young) and I a very suspicious and annoyed look. Then next thing I hear is the same store employee asking Lost Prevention to focus on a camera over the intercom. I understand store employees need to prevent shop lifting but please dont make it so obvious and offensive when you suspect one of your customers. I do very well for myself and dont appreciate people stereotyping others. After telling the lady at checkout of our experience again I got a brushed off type of attitude and she said she would look into it but yet didnt ask me any further questions like who the initial employee was (who was actually standing right next to her).

Love ulta. One of the best spots for anything beauty: makeup, hair, slincare, uou name it. The store is split up by brand making it really rasy to find what you want. Ulta also has a 60 day return policy for anything that forsnt end up working for you and gives you a bunch of free samples at check out.

I came in today to browse and kill time shopping on my day off. And I felt like there were so many workers watching me and it was uncomfortable. There was an older bigger lady that felt like she was following me and I was not appreciative. I got the vibe she thought I was stealing and accused me of having a tarte pallet on camera and asked where it was. And I don’t think I even picked one up! It was super uncool because I’m a longtime customer of ulta in different states and I’ve never been treated like that. A lot of the staff was nice and doing their job but she really made me uncomfortable and I spent a good amount of money in there today. Thumbs down from my first time to this one. I won’t be back I’ll just order online

Terrible customer service!!! Employees walked right pass me without acknowledging my presence. I needed help looking for a certain foundation I wasnt seeing. I stood there trying to get their attention and they would walk pass me, look at me and just keep going. It wasnt super busy and even if it was a simple acknowledgement and an I will be with you as soon as I can would have gone a long way. So, after standing there for 10 minutes I walked up to the cashier (the one with pink hair). I asked her if I could get someone to help me in the Clinique area. She said she would send someone over. I stood there trying to grab one of the employees attention for 20 more mins and then said forget it. I went back up to the cashier and told her I still hadnt been helped and that I was leaving at which point she gave me a dirty look and giggled. I had planned on spending close to $100 but I guess they didnt want my business. I had to drive to the Sunrise Mall to get my Clinique items from Macys. This was a huge inconvenience and messed up my plans for the day. I was on a tight schedule as I needed to get items and head to my brothers wedding venue. I am very disappointed in my experience at the Folsom Ulta today.

Walked in a few days ago ready to buy some benefit products when I see every single ulta worker standing in a circle talking. I tried to ask about shades but they just blew me off and continued talking, and then when the group finally disbanded one worker followed me around the store and insinuated that I was stealing. Ended up putting all of my products back, very disappointing.

Every time I come in here I buy a lot of things, but when I am looking for help there is no one who can help me They are all talking in a corner doing nothing. I once came in with my mom and she was looking for a straightener when we finally got some help the woman said you need this $189 straightener and commented on how my hair was so straight, I told her I got it for $20 at Walmart and she rolled her eyes at me. I now order online at Sephora because ulta is the only beauty store near me.

Extremely bad service. My appointment was at 6 for haircut, but I was running a little late. It was 6:10 and I was on my way to ULTA & I get a call from someone from ULTA saying that since you cant reach within 15 mins of your appt, We might not be able to do a blow dry or styling! I told her that I am on my way & should be there in next 5-7 mins, but she kept on insisting the same thing saying that its ULTA policy! She didnt even wait for 6:15 to call me. I have been going to ULTA since last 5 years and told her so, even then no change in her response. PATHETIC! Almost every time when I reach ON TIME, I have been asked to wait for 20-30 mins, and now if I am running late by just few mins, they are bringing up policy! RIDICULOUS. Congratulations Ulta, you just lost one of your longtime customer who has spent atleast 60-100$ on every visit.
