Came to Mugs for a research group meeting. Four consecutive coffee orders came up under filled. One of my colleagues joked that someone had already drank half their beverage... Cannot recommend.

I seriously don’t get the hype about this location (the Oval location). Their drip coffee is AWFUL, their espresso (and lattes) aren’t much better, and their pastry menu is very limited. Their scones are alright, but they have the same pastries week after week. Go somewhere else if you want good coffee, like Alleycat or something. Closeness to campus is the only good thing, and even then the coffee shops on campus have WAY better coffee. Don’t believe the other reviewers, these people must be on rec marijuana here in CO!

This place has very tasty coffee! Really enjoyed the taste. Nice environment to get things done. AND the sexiest part for me was the segregated waste part (Liquid, compost, recycle, landfill.) And the reusable stirring sticks.

I love coming to Mugs SO much. Seriously, the best almond milk latte (cold or iced) in town! Today was especially great because our barista Jack was really awesome & made the visit extra special! 5 stars as usual!

Food was delicious and deciphered fast. Very welcoming anf friendly environment as well.

I went in this morning and they had just released their fall menu. The food was great and the owner (or a guy who seemed to be) greeted me and we talked while the food was being prepared. Super nice and genuine guy along with the staff! Lattes were good also.

Service was awesome, food was so legit. Think what I snagged was the Get Started Sandwich. Id definitely recommend. Now its right across from CSU and Im sure theres a rush period, but when I hit this place up they didnt seem to packed. They have a good Cov2 setup and make it easy to get in and out with minimal contact. Dont know the name of the women who helped me, but I definitely enjoyed our conversation about Chicago and Fort Collins. Im new in town so Ill for sure be back.

Mugs is one of the best coffee shops in town. I love their drinks and the employees are always kind and funny. I am so glad they are open during COVID for take away and I cant wait to go back in person when they open up indoor seating again!

I always enjoy going to Mugs, they have the best coffee and specialty lattes (Vinnys Vienna is my fav). Jack made it extra special today with his amazing customer service and delicious drinks. Thanks Jack!

Updated Review:I’ve been going to Mugs on Laurel for quite some time because it has three things I love in a coffee shop, 1) lots of big tables close to outlets for long work/study sessions, 2) light! I hate when a coffee shop has no natural light. Mugs has a ton of it! And 3) good coffee. Good coffee and good baristas who know how to make a good cappuccino. The food is tasty too, especially the breakfast burritos, and there are a ton of food options to pick from.Now, unfortunately this place can get really busy, but it’s understandable and like I said, they have a ton of space and plenty of tables. They hit a weird week where they weren’t serving food and everyone seemed cranky. When I expressed concerns the manager was great. Offered sincere apologies, contact info, and a gift card. Definitely made me want to come back!

Great coffee, fun location. Food is tasty (scones!) And atmosphere is good for small group or one-on-one meetings.

HIGHLY recommend the pumpkin latte with oat milk and half sweet. Yum.

One of the absolute best local coffee shops in town this location specifically the staff is absolutely awesome I come here multiple times a week I just wish that with How difficult it is to park downtown this location would stay open a little later maybe even just for the weekends the old town location is open until eight in this location closes at six.... i make laps trying to find parking regularly around old town then end up just going home with no coffee in hand..

Really nice location and atmosphere; I love how large and open the space is inside. However it is usually crowded and hard to find a place to sit. A lot of students who come here tend to have loud conversations so it’s not really a great place to study or get work done. Staff is super friendly and always great! Also I love their Fort Lox bagel sandwich :)

This is a coffee shop right across from campus. It has a ton of seating and is a nice place to do some work or kill some time. The coffee is good and they have small baked goods to eat. The service is quick and friendly. This is an overall nice place

Love that they’re always friendly and have gluten free and dairy free options! Jazzy Java is my favorite coffee there and I’m always adapting their sandwiches to my dietary needs with ease. Also love their sustainable efforts to help minimize environmental impacts of their business and spread awareness!

Came here to do some studying and writing for finals. I think its the most work Ive ever gotten done in a public space. The coffee and tea is delicious, and the atmosphere is hip, positive, focused, and not too quiet. Great place to get in the zone and get some work done or just sit down and have a nice time with friends. The lounge area downstairs is a huge plus too.

Mugs is a great place to stop by for either coffee with friends or to grab breakfast on the way to class! Can’t wait for the Oval location to open back up.

I always love their matcha freeze drink. Also have a great selection of hot and iced teas.

So amazing! Manager Layla was awesome and all the employees are so friendly! Top notch customer service and also they care about the Earth!!! They use reusable stir sticks and sell steel straws for a dollar! If you buy the reusable cup you get a discount on all the drinks Everytime you use it. Also tth coffee is really great and they are locally owned an operated! Highly recommend!

Very quaint place, I loved the atmosphere of it. The coffee was almost perfect and their staff were quite friendly. Their map for visitors to mark where theyre from was also something really neat to look at.

Nearly every time I come here to get a bagel they are out of almost every kind, with only the less desirable flavors left. Also, they charge you a dollar if you want a straw. I understand the plastic panic but this is crazy. Offer an alternative instead of punishing the customer!

The brownies alone are worth the walk to this place from my dorm. prices are awesome. nobody believes me when i say this is the best brownie i had in my life. literally a dollar? im sister stunned

I go to Mugs every gd day of my life. It is a social event for myself and my fellow graduate students. As I shovel a mediocre burrito down my gullet, I have finally gotten up the nerve to write this review. I order an iced Americano every. single. day. I would say 2/3 of the time it comes hot, and most of those times I watch the baristas ask each other what the drink was supposed to be with flippant nonchalance. I want to like Mugs so badly. Its a fun study spot and the ambiance provides that je ne sais quoi thats imperative to good third-space. But if I have to stomach one more undercooked potato in a sloppy mess of a burrito I might just vomit it up over their artisinal floor. Be better. I will continue to patronize your wretched establishment, but I will do it begrudginly.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in FoCo. Community is their top priority, and you can really see it in the home-like atmosphere they create. They have quality coffee here, and it is the perfect place to go if you need to study or if you want to just get coffee with a friend! The mug is so worth the investment!

Busy place, but still good coffee fast when you need it.

Friendly staff, and the $1 coffee mug is a great deal. Gets me out from behind my computer on campus.One thing I dont understand--why the hersheys syrup on the brownies? It adds nothing, but it makes them messy and nearly impossible for semi-dexterous plebeians like myself to eat without getting chocolate on our clothes. A modest proposal: leave it off, and let the brownies do the work. Thanks!

Its a great place to work. A good variety of food, including vegan options. One con is that it doesnt smell great in here - it often smells like bacon, rather than coffee.

Love the environment and the basement is a cool addition to feel like you have some more privacy. Coffee is tasty too! Havent tried the food, but it always looks and smells good.

Mugs coffee is OK. This location is close to Campus, so during the school year it is very hard to get a table or park. They do not offer a parking lot. I will say the food is quite good and the service is always friendly.

I tried your scones twice but never again!! Once it was undercooked and tasteless!! This morning I tried your pistachio scone !! which tasted nothing like pistachio but wreaked of something like onion!! Please take the time to taste your products before we waste our money on them!!

What kind of breakfast place doesn’t have ham??? I Used to have a a breakfast sandwich every morning here but after they changed their menu and got rid of ham I have almost no desire to come here anymore.

Its convenient to campus, but the seating was a bit of a nightmare. Not very much, broken chairs, and just generally uncomfortable.

Great macha frappuccino

We stopped for breakfast and had a cappuccino, chai latte and cinnamon roll. The cream cheese frosting on the roll was tasty, and the roll itself was moist and dense. The spicy chai latte is not to sweet, a common weakness of many chai lattes. The coffee is stout.The atmosphere really stands out-spacious and cozy at the same time, not loud quiet or too loud, abundant laptop plugs. Wish I could stay longer.
