Well first off. This company bought out the other one and just automatically started taking payments out of my account without my permission. Absolutely unacceptable. Then I gave them a months notice that I was going to be out and guess what. It’s the first and they took my payment out. That’s weird because I gave you a months notice that I was going to be out. Then when you call him he laughs and thinks it’s fun That it will be 5 to 7 business days to get my money back. I would suggest going somewhere else. Maybe the one right next door!!

From the get go this place has been phenomenal, due to the amazing customer service from George Bauman. He was the man who helped me find the right unit for all my stuff. He walked me around to show me were it was and to make sure the space would work for me.He even help me find the right size boxes for a few things I hadnt had packed up yet. He made it easy to understand how much youll be paying a month when its due and if you should use insurance on your items. I just had an amazingly easy experience working with him.On top of all of that I accidentally signed the vacancy form. So, he called me up and double checked to see if that was correct or not.Thank you George Bauman for helping me find a easy, fast, reliable, & affordable storage unit.

After reviewing several storage units in Fort Wayne, we would strongly recommend Life Storage! Very clean, easily accessible, with very friendly personnel. The security on the premises was very reassuring and the 24 hr access key panel to enter was very easy to use. Did I mention the auto pay ability that made it a care-free and on-time billing with e-mailed receipts every mth! Storage could not get any better!Thank you Life Storage for being so AWESOME!!!!

George the manager is the best! From the beginning and currently have received exceptionally great service from him. I moved out of state and needed a large unit that was temp controlled and he provided same day move in as well. They have since gone through a change and he waived the fee during the transition along with helping me with other issues. I feel comfortable with all my belongings here especially being 1800 miles away! Thank you George!

George is an outstanding help. I ran a business here in Fort Wayne over the summer and had to ask George lots of questions and ask for his help several times. He was always willing and prompt to help. He was kind, and even stopped by while I was loading and unloading for conversation! Thanks George for making this summer even better!

My husband recently moved across country for school and was impressed with Life Storage. He said the guy working was very friendly and helpful. My husband was able to get a unit right away and started unloading our Uhaul as we prepare to find a place to stay. The unit is clean and feels like a safe area.

They need more carts for moving things. Helped someone move out of them, so otherwise dont have much of an opinion but the gate is kind of a pain to use.

This is a clean, well maintained storage facility. The staff have always been courteous and helpful. In particular, the manager (George) has been a pleasure to work with. He is professional and responsive to any questions or issues I might have.

Gotta keep my belongings safe and out of the weather. They are 24 hours so it makes it convenient to get there when I get off work or before work

I rent from these rip offs. There rude. The day your due you get locked out. I had covid and was hospitalized. and my storage was 100 and they charged me 300 for being a month late. My suggestion is find something else

I moved my belongings from another self storage company because it was getting expensive. I was able to find a smaller unit at a lower monthly price. I waived insurance at my previous location but it is mandatory w/ ESS. They dont disclose that until you sit down to do the paperwork. Fortunately, I was covered by my renters insurance. I dont care for below the line charges. The facility and units are clean so there is that. Ingress and egress is good and if you dont need 24hr access, the 10pm access cutoff is more that adequate.July 2016 I tried paying my bill online and the Coliseum location was no longer listed. Called the local number to pay by phone and a person answered Mini Storage Depot. Apparently, this location was acquired by them. I never received a call, e-mail, or letter about this transition and am extremely pissed. I would have liked to have been given the option of deciding if I wanted to remain there or look for other accommodations. This is abysmal customer service.

The place is little far but the service is really neat, they walk me through every details, and answer questions.The good thing is they offer first month rent free, this helps with balance the one time management fee and insurance. I wish they could put all the cost for review upfront so new users know how much to expacting.

This place is great!! The managers were so helpful! They answered all my questions without hesitation. If youre looking for a storage facility this is the one to go to. Their prices are fair and the units are super clean. I wont ever go anywhere else to get a storage unit! Thanks guys!

Called around today on some prices on storage units. Some places were really rude on the phone. But when I call Extra Space Storage they were so nice even though I told them I was looking to rent for my son in Scottsdale AZ. They gave me great information. 5 star

I rented a unit at Extra Space to store the contents of my apartment for about a year, and I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience. The management was friendly and available, and I always felt that the premises were secure. Furthermore, both the building and the unit itself were clean and well lit. I had a climate controlled unit, which was really quite nice and a good value! I would recommend Extra Space on Coliseum to anyone with either short or long term storage needs!

The place was super clean and the office people were very nice. I had to get their Protection plan but it had no deductible and it covered flooding and it was cheaper than my Insurance. Plus they put me on easy - pay so I will never have a late fee and if the payment does not go through there is NO FEE. Perfect for my busy life.

Im a delivery driver in Fort Wayne and I was delivering some packages to a storage locker at Extra Space Storage on the bypass in Fort Wayne, Its the first time I had a delivery there. I asked the guy working there if this place was brand new he said no, I told him that this is the cleanest Storage place I ever delivered to, I was shocked it was not new, I did not see any trash at all on the grounds, this is not the norm from what I have seen in my 5 years dropping off packages. Im telling everyone I hear that is looking for a place to rent to come see you as I was very impressed. Also Thanks for getting me out of the gate since I was to stupid to remember to use the keypad at the gate. But it was a MONDAY!

I was very impressed with the staff and facility here. After storing for years at Public Storage with a sh*tty old dirty storage unit, I was stoked to see the awesomely clean unit they had reserved for me! Plus their prices are way lower than anyone in town, even with their insurance (seems like a scam but well see). Totally recommend those two guys there, workin their tails off to make me feel welcome. Cant wait to move in!

Good place to store your stuff cheap

Welllll, since ive only had my Room for a whopping 3 days my experience is somewhat limited however so far Xtra Space has exceeded my expectations which i admit were rather high to begin with. I spent the better part of 2 days searching the Internet & dropping by numerous different facilities in the Fort Wayne area. My primarily #1 concern was Security, largely due to what it was that i intended to store, (2 rooms worth of quality nearly new furniture). Most places that advertise themselves as secure have 1 ancient looking camera located near the entrance and a an easy jumpable chain length fence. Not so at Xtra Storage, i stopped counting at the 5th camera, less someone might start to think that i was casing the place with larceny in my heart. I was basically sold on renting a Room even before I found out that a BODY was actually present and living on the property. I found that the procedures in getting a lease was less painful and far quicker than any legal contract that ive been party to in quite a long long time. I was exceptionally happy about the Auto Pay Program because I detest getting yet another Bill in the mail every month & despise even more having to write Checks and deal with envelopes, stamps & wondering if the Post Office was going to deliver or lose the check. What can i say, so far im happy but then again I havent even managed to get all the furniture moved into the Room quite yet. ;)

Pretty average for a storage place. Tight turns between units make it a bit difficult to get around. If someone is at their unit in front of you, you may be waiting awhile. Ok for mid to long term storage.

The price they show online is not even close to what youll pay. Expect an additional fee for insurance per unit. Plus a huge move-in fee just to get started.
