If it were possible to leave 0 stars, I would..My daughter lost her glasses so I called to get her prescription information and her frame size so I could order a few pairs online. The girl who answered the phone must have been new because she had to keep putting me on hold to ask other people which is fine, as long as I get the correct information that I called for. She finally came back to tell me that I could get the size off her glasses. I told her I dont physically have the glasses as she lost them and I needed the information to order new ones. She then told me they dont have the information I need. Umm, you provided us glasses previously yet you dont have this information on file anywhere? She then told me you might call back tomorrow. were a little busy today and cant give you the information. I give up on receiving good customer service anymore. Its nothing but a joke.
I’ve been to three different eye clinics and this third one is by far the best one I’ve been to. Everyone here was extremely welcoming and kind to me. Dr. Hufnagel and Ashley were so sweet to me. I’m never going anywhere else!

Had a great 1st visit here. Everything was on time. Everyone was very nice. Dr explained things thoroughly. Sam helped me check out and finalize my glasses order. She answered all my insurance questions and made sure I was aware of every cost up front. Will definetly be back!
I have been waiting for my glasses for over 4 weeks after they told me it will be in in two weeks. Two weeks came and I get a call saying they made the wrong lenses..again. I got my original glasses 6 months prior and I had the same issues. So they said they made the wrong lenses and that they would put a rush on them and they would be done and ready for pickup by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came and I still hadn’t received a call and I thought they might have been delayed or something I should get a call in probably a day or so. A week goes by and I still don’t receive a call. The following Thursday I call and the lady was extremely rude and didn’t want to speak to me. She didn’t even say her name when she answered and told me I don’t know who the hell you spoke to but they won’t be done for another 5 days so you can come get them then. I also asked if they could transfer my information over because I have had nothing but issues with this location and she didn’t want to do that either. But I had already gone to another location asking if it was difficult to transfer my information over and told them the issues I was having with this location and they said it is very easy they just fax it over and they told me they don’t know why this location is having so many issues and why the staff was rude like that. So when I asked the lady at greenwood to transfer my information over again she said it was complicated and she’s have to fax everything over and I said that’s fine you can fax it over I’d prefer the other location and she again goes but I have to fax everything over and I again said that’s fine fax it over I’m closer to the other location and she was rude about it the entire time. I am still waiting on my glasses and they are supposed to be here supposedly on Monday again.

Loved our experience here, the staff was very helpful and kind with our young children. Prices were great with our insurance, our daughter was not covered on our vision insurance because her vision has been fine until her most recent pediatrician exam, but the cost of her exam and glasses was still very reasonable. We will be returning!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Greenwood location. Everyone was so nice, polite, and helpful. The exam was quick and painless. Everything was explained in detail, and there was absolutely no “up selling” when I was ordering my glasses (unlike every other place we’ve gone to). When I picked up my first pair of bifocals, the lady was super busy, but she still sat down with me and explained everything thoroughly and didn’t let me leave until she knew I was comfortable with them. I greatly appreciated her help and advice. This will definitely be our yearly eye exam place. Thanks to all who took such great care of us.

Insurance filed wrong, misled and overall not worth it. Received a bill not filed with insurance or filed wrongfully. Do not suggest this store because selling and being rude is the their focal point.
Okay, I never write reviews for places, but since I was asked for one about this particular visit, I knew I had too. These girls are AMAZING. I had the absolute pleasure with working with four of them. I went in on a day that all of their computer systems were down. I was the first appointment of the day and they gave me the option of doing an old fashioned paper exam or I could reschedule. I went ahead and did the paper exam. Dr. Hufnagel was great and made me feel super comfortable throughout my exam. I’m typically a shy and more awkward person, but she joked and bantered with me and everything went very smoothly. I felt super bad for all of them since they weren’t used to that process and I felt even worse that they had to keep explaining to people over and over what had happened and I’m sure others were less understanding than me. I also had to return later in the day to make payment and even this did not make me feel inconvenienced at all, I know things happen and it was beyond their control. Later in the day when I came back to make payment, Sam clearly explained all of my insurance benefits to me and what would give me the most savings through their discounts and my insurance. She totaled up on a manual calculator all of my options so I would know exactly what I would be paying before she made the transaction. She answered all of my questions in a way I understood and was super patient with me when I was trying to figure out what I wanted since my HSA and insurance wouldn’t completely cover. I just wanted to share how great all of them were and I hope all of this can convince someone looking for a new optometry spot to pick this one. I know I will keep coming back as long as Dr hufnagel is employed there!
My daughter and I love coming to Visionworks because its so fun to try on the frames with Amanda she makes it a fun experience. Amanda is really great about suggesting frames that will compliment us. Amanda is a true assest to Visionworks!

The eye doctor was very nice and explained everything to me. The lady that put in my glasses order acted like she was in a hurry to get me out. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I totally forgot to ask about getting the second pair of glasses. I was that rushed by her.

June 2020 I made an appointment for my wife because she was having a bad eye allergic reaction. I asked the workers at this location if it was possible for the doctor to check her and they quoted me twice the same price. When the appointment was done me she got checked, they charged me more than what they originally quoted. Since I don’t have eye insurance pricing is important for me, and I felt lied to. When confronting the Store manager about it she was really rude and short tempered with me. For the past 8 months we have been reaching out to Human Resources or Customer services, but to no avail. I’ve called 5 times and gotten nowhere, they don’t have the decency to call back at all. In general it has been one of the worst services I’ve had. To me, this place has been nothing but awful and I urge people to look at other places and compare before buying in here, that way you don’t go through what I experienced
The appointment was at 6:15 and the doctor didn’t see my son until 6:40 pm. He is a minor and she didn’t talk me at all and only directed her comments towards him. I asked a question and she explained it to him instead of myself. At the end they gave us a tray to find frames and another lady said they closed in 10 minutes. That means we only had 5 minutes to pick a frame, size and order. I payed for the service and didn’t receive what i needed because we couldn’t see more frames. (GREENWOOD MALL OFFICE)

The wait was 1hr and 30 minutes from my appointment. The Eye doctor was great! (The reason for the 1 star I gave)I was quoted too much over their original price given. I also had to call twice to ask them to ship my contacts when they said it would go out the next day! Ive been in a trial pair for way over their limit. Finally the 3rd time calling they were still sitting at the store and I had to go pick them up!! NEVER AGAIN!
Our family had a wonderful experience with the store and staffing. Highly recommend Kaylee for her outstanding customer service, but all the staff appear to strive for great service.
I Was very pleased with Sigrids attitude towards helping me pick out frames. She was awesome. Very patient and informative. She made this the best eye appointment that I have ever had.
Contacts received were of different prescription than what was supposed to be given which made it so that I had difficulty seeing. They also couldnt even get my name right and didnt correct it. It eventually got to the point where since the window of opportunity on handling the issues with my contacts had ended I had them remove me from the system. The larger irony is that now they are sending ads to me under my correct name and have violated my do not solicit request.
I called today to reorder damaged glasses. The first clerk I spoke to was extremely nice and helpful telling me as long as I called back by 7p, I could reorder. I called back at 6p, waited on hold for 8 minutes and was disconnected. I called back and got Kaylie and she was rude from the get go. I explained I had been on hold and was disconnected and she was quick to tell me “it’s because I was with another customer.” The hold time wasn’t the issue, it was being disconnected. Then she proceeded to tell me “I told your husband earlier his prescription expired in August.” I told her he hadn’t shared that detail and that the previous clerk never mentioned that. She snapped back with “well that’s corporate policy and I follow it.” Good for you Kaylie. Corporate policy probably includes treating people with respect. I asked about any extensions since we are only 2 weeks out of his script and covid has set us back time wise, she said “we’ve been open since April and I can prove that.” I advised her she didn’t need to get defensive. Kaylie ended with “is there anything else you need?” I called her a real @*^% peach and hung up. She was the most rude person on the phone. My last encounter there was the clerk telling me not to buy glasses I liked because she didn’t think they looked good on me. Shame on me for going back to a place who clearly doesn’t know how to talk to people. My poor eyesight as well as my family’s will go elsewhere. Good luck surviving at a run down mall Kaylie.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. I was told that the trial contacts I needed would be ordered for me before I could finalize my prescription. I have call every week and no one has put in the order and I even called a few days after my appointment to let them know I wanted to try a certain contact that was not in stock and they said they had ordered it but never did. The doctor and the associates are completely useless.

I recently went in for an eye exam and I didn’t have an appointment. They got me right in with a very short wait time. Everyone was very friendly and informative. The General Manager seemed to have a good flow with her staff. The store seemed to have a lot of people, but each associate I saw was helping customers with a smile on their face and their GM did a great job delegating where her people needed to be. Coming from customer service myself I was very pleased with the atmosphere of this place. I will be bringing my whole family in for their yearly’s here! Love my glasses as well! Great quality
Just an absolutely awful experience. We went in because they had a Christmas buy one get one BUT I didnt care about that sale it would just be a benefit so my wife saw another pair of glasses in another store and I thought if Visionworks could get these glasses I would also buy mine and get an OK deal and if they couldnt get these pair I would just go back to the other company and make the deal there NO PROBLEM. I gave the lady the exact model, color, make and what do you know.....she had a pair in the warehouse so my wife picked out a second pair and I picked out two pair (both pair were progressive lenses) and the bill was $1300. Two weeks go by and the glasses come in...............and the pair she wanted were WRONG! They stopped selling them and instead of calling us to let us know they decided to send something else which is just bad business. So we had to get our money back for hers so we could go back to the original place and order them there. I took mine to try and found that the progression was way to low and the middle was only a few centimeters so I had to look at my computer with my head cranked all the way back like I was looking at the sun all the time. I went back to the store (1 hour drive each way) and the lady was as rude as can be. She wanted to bend up a $250 pair of frames and take them and try them for a week and I said HECK NO! OH and the left lens would move with your 2 fingers NOT THE RIGHT but the left and she said she didnt see a problem. After 30m of arguing she tossed the glasses on the desk and told me she would give them to her boss and if I didnt like that she would give me my money and I needed to go somewhere else. Well finally her manager called me (2 days later) and said she would have the glasses remade and raise the progression. I will give it a try but I will NEVER darken their door again and I hope others follow. I have had glasses for many many years and NEVER had such a problem with glasses especially after spending so much. I am quite sure if the shoe was on the other foot that those ladies would definitely not enjoy head aches and want it made right!!
They were fast and they accepted my hip pluss by anthem .. I had my gases done 1 HR after I seen the doc. So fast friendly and a great selection like ray-ban Nike lacost and a bunch more... You should go here

It is a fraud to come to this place and pay $545.00 for one pair of glasses 👓 they have a promotion buy 2 glasses get one free but if you do the promotion they force you to add unnecessary things like premium anti-reflective I say I don’t need that, I don’t want it it was like $200 extra dollars and they also want to add H-index which is another $110 dollars and frame for glasses are ove $249.99 plus you have to pay for lenses which is a fraud !And if you do not add all this unnecessary things they won’t do them for you
From front desk to optometrist, excellent customer service and attentiveness, knowledgable and competent staff, and fantastic last minute effort to set me up on appointment during a difficult eye issue I was having. 11/17/2019, this staff saved the day. Ive gotten my annual exams and glasses here the past three years and every year Ive been in and out in around 15 minutes if just an exam. 25-30 minutes if picking out glasses also. The prices are pretty midline on the frames and the selection is decent as well. Always a smooth experience.
We love this location because it is so convenient. The staff is amazing at helping us fit in all 5 people at once when needed and always are friendly and helpful. And shout out to Kaylee Boyd for not only helping us at the store but for sharing a love of art with me through her husbands gift. Having something in common helps make visiting extra fun...would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for an optometrist or trying to find glasses. I have shopped at many places for glasses in the past and I have not run across many that take the time to help you choose. Loved my service and Kaylee really knew what she was talking about. I felt like she spoke with a great amount of knowledge and it made me feel good about the money I spent on these great new glasses. Fantastic place.
Not very knowledgeable or just liars. I called to see if they could just tint an old pair of my daughter’s glasses and they said yeah for $25 and it would only take about 30 minutes. But when I got there they claimed they never told me this and I must’ve called someone else. So I read back the number that I called and they confirmed that was their number, but no one would admit to telling me this. Wasted my time and money!!! If someone made a mistake just own up to it and apologize! Why do ya gotta lie; especially when I’ve got the proof right in front of you?!?! SMH Guess they’ll never get my business and they’ll only get bad representation whenever I hear someone mention them. Too bad

Dr. Cathleen Caraballo, O.D. Very Professional yet Super Sweet. The women in the front of the store very personable, and helped me decide on my frames that I absolutely love. I needed an eye doctor to look at my eyes for contact dermatitis that started while traveling from out of state. I had also left my glasses at home and really needed a pair especially with the issues with my eyes. Stacy Hufnagel O D was able to do my exam and the team at visionworks was able to make my glasses in an hour. Excellent service and everyone was very helpful! If we still lived in Greenwood this would be where we would go for eye care needs. Highly recommend!

I would definitely go to Visionworks again. The doctor was very knowledgeable as was the staff. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time, and I couldnt believe the price. I used to hate going to the eye doctor but now I think I might actually look forward. Im so glad I switched!
I have waited over a month to get a pair of glasses now. The first pair took over 3 weeks to come in with no calls and or reasons as to why it was taking so long for me to receive them. I have to follow up multiple times and I could only get estimates but no glasses. Once I got my glasses the lens fell out right away and I was told I needed another pair. I have waited 2 weeks now for this pair and still no answer as to when I will receive my glasses.One good note, my wife got her glasses on time, and they look great. The GM has been very helpful in all of this but the employees have been ruthless as they are getting tired of me asking when my glasses will be in every week. I might be an exception but waiting over a month to get glasses that I already paid for, with no answer as to when they will be in is completely unacceptable.

Doctor Huffnagel is great. She explains things in a way you can understand. She makes you feel like you are family. The staff out front Kaylee and the other girls up front are so polite and cheerful. You dont feel rushed to get done and get out and on to the next patient. Even my kids love coming here.Way to go.

I was nearly blind and I was sold some really nice fancy Lacoste frames! The very pretty woman that sold my glasses was exceptionally intelligent with letting me know what lenses would best suit me! Needless to say if you dont upgrade to non glare lenses then you are seriously missing out!!! Great store and great experience! Would love to visit the lovely staff again!

So, I called and made an appointment.. I showed up to my appointment, I stood there for 40 minutes at the front desk before anyone said a word to me. We werent obnoxious but I had a two year old with me its not like they couldnt hear me or see me. So, I started getting huffy puffy, one of the ladies then asked almost an hour after my appointment time if I had an appointment, when I said yes, she told me to go sit in another waiting room. Another 30 minutes pass and I was finally taken to an eye exam room.. The lady that did my exam was amazing, but everyone else seemed careless. They didnt help me pick out glasses, when I found the ones I wanted, the lady suppose to be helping me was no where to be found. She tried talking me into getting another pair for 50% off although the sign clearly states 60% and she was offering everyone else 60% off. she was completely careless. My glasses were done within a day, but other than that it was all a bad experience.
2 years ago I had been to VisionWorks on Washington street, I wasnt impressed. Recently I saw an ad for 2 pairs of glasses 4 $49.00 ( I love a deal) so I decided to try the Greenwood location. The staff was very friendly! The eye exam process went very smooth even with dilating my eyes. Kaylee is very knowledgeable about lens. She help me pick out 2 awesome pairs of frames for my face shape. I will be back!

One word....RUN. As fast as you can. Over charged. Their advertised $10 eye exam is VERY misleading. They ended up charging my insurance $59 for contact exam and $49.98 for a comprehensive eye exam. Two charges for an eye exam?? They had my insurance policy under someone elses first name and couldnt figure out why they couldnt verify my benefits. THOUGHT I straightened that out while in this office. Called to check to see if contacts were in and now they cant find me in their system at all. They finally....again....asked about Geoffrey....who the hell is that??? Dont know a Geoffrey . They finally just said the contacts are not not in yet. Im betting they didnt even place the order until I called them. Ive dealt with the same insurance company for years. My mistake this time was going to this place who is considered in-network. What a joke. Will never go here again. Again...run. Run as fast as you can.

I’ve been going to the Greenwood Visionworks for 4 years now and each year my husband and my two grandkids are taken care of. Dr. Hufnagel is fantastic and thorough and Kaylee helps us with choosing glasses each year. She always asks us how the grandkids are in school and even called me by my first name when we walked in after a whole year. I was shocked she remembered me. It makes you feel good! Wonderful place!

Just go somewhere else dont waste your time trying to get anything - i gave it a second chance thinking the first visits was a bad day for them.. i work and its nice that they are open late.. but the fees $65 to renew my contact prescription when i had an eye exam ordered glasses and contacts.. thats just crazy they just renewed a prescription.. then the poor customer service...Ive been waiting weeks for my contacts that i have already paid for, for Ive called multiple times they just keep saying the manager will call me back which has never happened, one time they were on back order and were overnighted and someone would call me tomorrow, which hasnt happened..so i called back tonight, i finally just ask for a refund.. was put on hold and no one ever came back to the phone after 8 minutes- now i have to go back in myself and try to get my money back its a joke.
Just finished my exam and purchase of new glasses. Noah did my pre exam and was friendly and effecient. Then I was immediately seen by Dr. Hufnagel who was thorough and understanding. Then Keri the retail manager was a great help in choosing glasses. She listened to all my questions, helped me work within my budget, and never rushed me or pushed me into something I didnt want. Over all fast, professional, and painless visit.

UPDATE: MUCH better service when I picked up my glasses and then came back for ADJUSTMENT THE next day. adjustment is good but said they will give me silicone nose thingys next week when shipment comes in- forget what they are called...............so Ill give them more stars. 😁Last week at exam: Last time was ok. But this time everyone who worked there seemed condescending. I felt rushed to decide on frames . Idk if I going to like them now. I usually get the frameless bottom ones but they said I would have to upgrade the lenses to do those . But i had to upgrade lense anyway to get lineless bifocals so I could have gotten frameless glasses anyway, which I would have thought of if i wasnt rushed. Good associates would have thought of that. They didnt get me a detailed receipt of what i was paying for, only what insurance was paying for. I waited two hours for an open appt and then they sent sone other lady ahead of me and i waited at least another 20min.

Eye exam went well, then ordered two sets of glasses, paid $400 for two sets with insurance, they were ordered wrong, Completely useless and cant see with them. told it was on me to replace them for several hundred more$$$, on top of original price. Suggest you go to lens crafters or anywhere else.
There was a very good selection of glasses. The staff are very kind, also.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT!👌I’ve never received better customer service in my life!! I’m a native of LensCrafters and have been going there for a while, but my opinions have finally changed! It was a Saturday morning unlike no other. The pouring rain was so treacherous that I thought I might as well pull over or go home. Suddenly there it was...that banner. That banner that hung right over the entrance of the mall was persuading my every move to walk in and get my eyes examened. Everyone was super friendly! Sara greeted me as I walked in and helped me pick out a swaggy pair of frames at the end, but we will save the best part for last. Kaylee and Keri were also super friendly! The pre testing went excellent by Allison, followed by the exquisite and detailed examination from Dr. Hufnagel. I thought I was going to have a -11 prescription, but it turned out I only had a -10.75!! I was balling in the middle of the club at that point. Nothing was stopping me. Sara helped me pick out a really nice pair of Vera Bradley frames and really cared for me! Other places push you to buy, for the money, but Sara was unlike no other! I was thrilled to find a pair of frames and on the way out, I even found an unopened mint on floor! My lucky day! 🍀
