A couple of weeks ago I switched to Verizon and had to come here to speed up the process that was very hard to do on their website. The staff was great, very helpful and they were following safety guidelines by using masks, antibacterial stations and distancing as much as possible. Recommended!
Christopher helped me with my phone here. Very polite and professional. Great atmosphere and friendly people. Stop by and say hello.
Local sales associates were fine. However because I declined to drive OVER an HOUR to their repair store and my phone is more than a year old, I have to pay a $50 fee for my replacement. Mind you we have been paying $17/month for years to be able to replace the phone if it malfunctions without a fee. Also, note that I spent nearly 3 hours between online chat and phone trying to avoid having to go in-store. Once the agent on the phone informed me of the fee, I asked to be transferred to someone who could have it waived. After waiting 30+ minutes without being connected, I hung up and attempted again but could not get through. When I arrived in-store the manager claimed there is no way to have the fee waived or credited, which seems highly unlikely as the phone agent believed it could be. Also, enjoy the irony that I can barely get two bars of service inside their own store.
When we walked in there was only two customers in the store so we were helped right away. Got the phone the wife wanted but the representative really wasnt willing to help set up the phone or transfer content over. She spent two hours on the phone yesterday afternoon and she still isnt done. I can understand if the store was packed but that wasnt the case. So tell me Verizon what do you pay your employees to do? Yall use to be the best now not so much.
Mediocre ... did not have scheduled appointment, did not know we needed one, having been sent there by Best Buy for phone activation. Greeted at door like we were a bother...tech who helped us after waiting was knowledgeable and helpful...and sent us back to Best Buy to finish because they did not have time. Like my new phone but customer service was nothing to brag about.
I am not a fan of Verizons online customer service...I want to make that clear. I had an issue with my cell phone on Sunday and had no choice but to venture into their store on Hwy 70 in Hickory. After an 1.5 hour wait during which an extremely rude man came in yelling and waving papers around - he received service before several other patient clients, I was assigned to a Shannon. Shannon was patient, kind and she fixed my cell phone in less than a hour. To the rude man... REALLY, you need to act like a human being not some thug! You are in your 40s and there is NO excuse for your BAD behavior! An elderly man left because it was his turn and you count the line...of course, it was the front end receptionists responsibility to ensure everyones turn... sadly, she was more interested in her text messages than doing her job!
Five stars is not enough to say thank you to Alexa for not only finding the perfect phone, but also reducing our bill by over $100 a month (5 lines). She was great to work with, clearly understood the needs, and recommended the perfect solution. I only with the phone was in stock, but that is a temporary global problem way above even the CEOs pay grade. Kudos. PS: No wait at 6pm on a Wednesday.
Ashley displayed excellent customer service on Saturday July 12th!! She handled all my needs and concerns with patience and willingness to help! ! I left feeling satisfied! I love Verizon!
Bought new phone and accessories yesterday. They will not transfer pictures and contacts. Got home and tried to do it unsuccessfully. Cannot get a human on phone for help. We are older and are not tech savvy! Poor customer service!
I had a great experience at the Verizon on Hwy 70 in Hickory. Ryan the associate that helped me was very helpful. He knows his stuff on the phones. He helped me to save my photos to my sd card and with getting my husband a new phone also.
Best customer service in the area hands down. Very knowledgeable and phone she inventory.
Was told when we walked in it would be a 45 minute to an hour wait time. Waited 45 minutes and saw no improvement. Also this is one of the worst places for handicapped customers to try and get into. The ramp is narrow and too tight to turn. All in all a poor experience with no new phone.
I walked in the store and it was nearly empty with one other customer being helped. An employee took my name and said it would be 45 minutes before anyone could get to me. I declined and left. Its a wonder how a retail business can operate this poorly.
Worst place if you need help .great place to loss money . They dont tell you about any deal just rapoff
Very busy but once we were helped all was smooth
Dont know why Ive stayed with Verizon all these years. To even look at a phone I had to make an appointment. The next appointment was next Wednesday a week away. She was merciful and let me buy a charger. She didnt act like she knew her product or happy with her job.
Got a little tired of waiting short on help that was a big help when they did get to us Thank you Verizon staff
Went in yesterday to upgrade our phones that are way overdue for an upgrade. Guy at the front said it would be about 10-15 minutes, which was no problem. After 30 minutes watching 4 associates work the floor with 1 customer receiving assistance it became abundantly clear that the rest of the associates were more concerned with updating their Snapchat’s and Instagrams than they were with providing us assistance. We left with no intentions on returning. We will seek cell phone service else where. Our 14 year tenure with Verizon will soon come to an end.
Went to switch a Verizon customer to another customer account. There were 2 cars in parking lot. We were told we needed to call a # that they dont do that in person any longer (not this places fault, just stinks you cant have 1 on 1 live help any more). Explain I want to look at phones as well. Told there is a 30 minute wait. She stated only 1 other employee due to Covid. The other person was helping the car in the parking lot so I thought wed call the # they gave us to add customer to new account while we waited to look at phone. While waiting on a representative for 15 minutes I go up to the stores door to look at their hours. A male employee opens the door and asks if I need help. I explain we are waiting and have been on the phone for 15 minutes with the # they gave us. He then sternly says you need to wait in your car. There are no signs stating we must wait in our cars, there are also lines of tape staring where to stand when outside. When he asks another customer who happens to be on the phone as well waiting they state they are just waiting, he seems aggravated and tells them they need to wait in their car. The customer snaps back they arent waiting in their car and the Employee then says you dont have to... by this time the employee has already rudely shown he didnt want us there instead of saying he could help us (since there were more employees than what we were told). The situation escalated with other customers and Verizon had 5 people immediately leave and go to another store (Best Buy)... where 2/5 customers bought their cellular products from Best Buy instead. The customer service isnt friendly/helpful. It seemed more like I wish you werent here but here, wait 30 mins and Ill offer you no further assistance or guidance while you wait.
It was in and out, of course I was just.picking Sim cards up. The place was clean and looked nice
Everyone was very helpful and answered. my questions
Would not take trade ins, insurance is useless.
We got there shortly after they opened and had to wait an hour before we were helped. (My father-in-law was getting a new phone.) Who knew they would not transfer data over anymore? They said their internet was too slow... Arent they a provider?
I’ve been with Verizon for over a decade. Never again. I’ve been trying to get a new phone for over a week. I went to the location, and stood outside till someone greeted me. He asked if I had an appointment. I need an appointment to buy a phone? When I replied no, he asked what I wanted. I told him I would like to buy a phone, he cut me off to tell me they don’t have any iPhones. Think about that. The phone store doesn’t have phones. So I attempt to purchase a phone through the website, the “live chat” option is just as terrible as the service at the store. So I call and speak to a sales representative from who knows where. He put me on hold for 10 minutes, and when someone finally got back to me, it was someone else who had no idea what I wanted. Never again. I won’t give Verizon another penny. I’m glad to be rid of this place. Every dollar is a vote folks. Vote wisely.
Not bad they are good people
Trying to do an online order/upgrade with an in store pick-up and has been total aggrevation.
We went to Verizon to switch my boyfriend from Sprint/TMobile after they were extremely unhelpful. Ive been a Verizon customer for years & now he will be as well. Kevin & Mateo (?) were so attentive & helpful. Miles above our experience at the competitors.
Dont even bother coming in here, not enough staff to be the only Verizon store in the area
The young man was very helpful
They took me right inside and answered all my questions when they were booked full. Thanks Verizon employees. I was very surprised and really appreciated them helping me out so quickly. I would highly recommend this location based on my personal experience.
Love the place just wanted to know if they are open on Saturday and Sunday?
Sallie was the most helpful customer service representative I have had the pleasure to meet. Thank you so much for the help. I would come back here anytime to get products from her!!!
Slow. Over sale
Need to make an appointment today eye doctor
DO NOT SHOP HERE! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. that is apparently what the customer service reps would prefer. My wife just did everything through Verizon and unfortunately had to pick up at this store. Pathetic service from the sales person. Handed her the phone and said there you go! She had questions about the setup and some features of the cloud. ZERO help. Verizon, if you are listening, you need to shut this place down or change the managers. They apparently are not doing there jobs!
No Android phones available in store. Waited for 30 minutes just to hear that.
Excellent service! Chasity was great to work with. Thank you!
Really didnt want to help said I needed to make appointment which was fine but still was told to go home and get customer service on phone and that i would be wasting my time in store.
Good experience
Went for business appointment and the associate I was assigned was not professional at all. Terrible experience!
No in store shopping right now due to covid-19, but can make appointment to go in, face mask required. There is not as many sales reps working the store now since they are not operating on a regular schedule.but usually have a wide variety of phones and accessories.
I had no problems at all with this particular business in Hickory for the exception of when I closed out my contract... I went into the office and checked to make sure I wasn’t under contract. Salesperson checked an said No. l said I would like to pay everything I owe an cancel my contract.. I told them I didn’t want a surprise bill later on.. He assured I wouldn’t.... Today I get a bill from the collection agency saying I owe 189.00......Now it’s up to me to argue with them... Total BS
Been at Verizon for 13 years. Wife and I went to check out upgrading our phones and the cost vs AT&T. Was treated like it was asinine that we didnt check the app first. When we asked about black friday deals we got the answer well we dont match competition because our network speaks for itself with an obvious condensending tone. Then was asked so what do you want then? Well Verizon lady, thank you. Customer service speaks for itself too. At&t it is. Regardless of price.
Was not able to get help setting up my new phone. I was just given and instruction sheet. I could not even do it in the parking lot because they did not have a free WiFi connection. This is TERRIBLE customer service even with the current pandemic situation. Now I have been on hold for 30 minutes and counting because the instructions are not working. Very frustrating.
I hate Verizon ! Poor customer service .....
Went by and dark head lady at the door was a complete biatch. Multiple customers outside complaining about her rudeness. Made everyone wait outside to be seen. Asked for the manager to complain and got attitude over that. Just decided enough was enough and went to at@t. At@t was very helpful and cut my phone bill down. The service is actually better than Verizon’s. I’m happy to be gone and not have to deal with this rude store anymore.
Smokin service. Instead of wasting my time, the service guy listened well and told me exactly how to solve my issue via a phone call instead of coming in and waiting. Awesome
Having problems with phone service around our homes. Verizon thinks we should buy something to make their service work better which is what I thought we were paying for every month. Been customers for a long time. Would think you would want to keep good paying customers happy. Always pay my bill on time.
My google pixel 2 had an update and emediately after the update I was not able to make or receive phone calls. It would call, but the other person couldnt hear me talking. I took it in to this location, waited over an hour to be helped, I told the guy what it was doing, he says nothing to me and walks into the back area with my phone where I cant see him. He comes back about five minutes later and says it has water damage and theres nothing they can do so I just needed to buy a new phone. I will never go back to this location again.
I don’t know what happened To this storeBut the customer service is a completelyDisaster nowadays.DISGUSTING
Awesome Thanks to Brad did a great job. Everyone nice friendly place
Needed help activating my phone I bought online through Verizon after being unable to get it activated by speaking to a customer service rep- Naomi and tech rep- Keisha; they were both very friendly and helpful. Met Brannon- solutions specialist as I walked in the door. He helped switch out my SIM card with a new one to realize that it was probably my phone that was the problem. He helped me exchanged it for a new phone right away and got my phone working as well as testing it before I left the store. This was my first time purchasing a phone online and the Verizon wireless Representatives that I worked with help giving a great ending horrible to a horrible first experience.
One thing they are not showing on their website is there are no models to look at. Due to Covid19, you cant handle any phone to see if you like the feel, display, or operating system. If you decide to buy a phone, and you hate it because you couldnt check it out before hand, you can return it, but Verizon will charge you$50.The staff members are friendly.... Overworked, but friendly, and they are trying to do their best given the circumstances. Even if you make an appointment, expect long wait times due to minimal customers in the store. Do your research before arriving to save time.
Good like always
Unfortunately the store is nice well what I saw from outside the person working the front door wouldnt let us in. Just gave us a card to call customer service our selves. If I wanted to do it myself I would have called the number to begin with so...visit another location.
Terrible experience. Was recommended to refer to this location to handle my issues. When I got there, I waited two hours just to be seen even though it was supposed to be only 40 minutes. When I finally got to go in, they couldnt even help me with my issue and gave me a number to call. They wouldnt even sit with me while I called the number to make sure my issue was resolved. This store is a joke and it wasted my entire day.
Great staff and super helpful! Always have a pleasant experience. Several times theyve gone above and beyond to meet our families needs! Helpful hint....meet a sales person, get their number and make an appointment! No wait and personable help! A+++
Came into the store because my phone keeping shutting off on its own. Wound up buying a new phone and protective case. Protective case did not come with a screen protector, so the salesperson sold me a $30 self healing screen protector. Salesperson then told me a text was sent to my old phone on how to activate the new phone. That didnt work out, because the old phone would not stay powered on long enough. This required me to go back to the store. After that ordeal, I applied the screen protector. While following the directions to the t, the screen protector kept coming up at the edges and would not stay stuck to the screen. Upon further inspection, the phone came factory with a screen protector already installed. The salesperson should have told me this instead of ripping me off $30.If you buy a Samsung Galaxy S10+, it already has a factory screen protector installed. Dont let them rip you off on a screen protector you dont need.
Terrible experience waited for over 30 min to talk with someone in customer service and still never got ahold of anyone. Went to the store and they were no help.
Dylan was great helper pretty knowledgeable and quick problem solver
Just a little bit far from me .
Was really helpful
My husband was there
No personal service anymore, sent to a machine. What a joke.
Got a new phone today. Store was not busy, but still took a while to get helped even though several employees seemed to be standing around doing nothing. Got the phone I wanted. Verizon worker did not transfer stuff from old phone to new phone because new phone battery was almost dead. He said I could wait an hour or two for phone to charge up.Gave me instructions on how to do it after I got home using content transfer app. Instructions did not work, but new phone itself led me through transfer process.Overall, employee who helped me did not seem at all interested in helping me understand how phone would work. He was not rude, just seemed like he would rather be anywhere else than helping me, and hoped I would hurry up and go away so he could get back to doing nothing again. Normally I go to the Verizon store on North Center Street, but I ate lunch at Chilis just down the street and thought I would give this store a try. That was a mistake. I will go back to North Center Street for all future needs.Almost forgot-somewhere in the process I got signed up for cell phone insurance plan-$ 13 per month, $ 157 per year. This was automatically added to my bill. Nobody ever asked if I wanted it, just got an email showing I had signed up for it. Had to go online and cancel plan.
Seriously cant even call and ask a question because they act like youre bothering them. Guess I wont be going in for a new account any time soon. Literally called to ask a specific question, got a smart answer, was going to ask when the best time to come in would be so I could get a new line and the lady interrupted me to ask me if there was anything else. Before I could even ask the second question. If want new clients, act like it.
They are nice people there. But, they are always trying to up sale you. Yet they very rarely tell you the exact cost of anything. I hate it when you simply want your phone fixed and you leave with s higher phone bill.
I am so mad! This is horrible! This place is so rude and horrible to customers, my husband called today about a phone screen broken and was calling to see about how much it would be to fix it! (Yes I realize this pandemic is scary and people are stressed and etc but dont take it out on others, always be kind). They instead tried to force to get a tablet instead of fixing the phone! Dont need a tablet, when my husband and I only have cell phones in case of emergency, when my husband works all day and I stay home alone with our two children. These people should be ashamed of how they treat customers just asking a simple question! Do not go here go to other stores! There is one on 127 who are sooooo much better. Never going back to this place ever!
Waited the ridiculous amount of time to get the PRIVILEGE to speak to a rep and purchase an I phone 11. Bought a case and protector for it. Of course the sales person gives me the wrong screen protector. So I have to go back just to wait another hour or so to exchange it. They need a better system or more people working
Your visit depends on who you get. The first day we came in the lady at the door was too busy looking at her phone to even open the door. She didnt even greet us once we got inside. After we proceeded to ask her a couple of questions she seemed annoyed that we were in her store. We left and came back the following day And got the answers we wanted and the lady that was took care of us by being nice and polite.
The customer service was awful if you need help with your phone call tech coach they are much nicer and really try to help you the Hickory store used to be great but not anymore and was very disappointed.
I got A Strong Case for my mobile beautiful as well. $25They have nice phones also work with Spectrum Mobile.
Not very helpful with fixing phone problems.
Tried to get my phone number switched form Straight Talk. Straight Talk released it on Saturday. I have spent a total of over 12 hours on the phone with Verizon the last 3 days with most of the time waiting to talk to some one. As of this posting I have been on the phone for over an hour waiting to talk to someone in the port dept again listening to the same song. You would think a multi billion dollar company could afford more than one song. Sunday afternoon I brought the phone into the store for help and was told they could not help me and that I needed to call support. As of right now I am waiting just to find out they will release my number so I can go to another carrier. 3 days and over 12 hours is enough. At this point I and willing to eat the 75 .38 just to never have to deal with Verizon again,Just an update. Over 2 days since I replied to the email in the reply and nothing back from them what so ever over my problem. Verizon does ot care about the customer.Update 2. It is Friday and still no response to the email I was requested to send. It looks like Verizon took my 75 dollars and gave me nothing in return.Updated 3. Over a week and still nothing from Verizon. They took my money, my time and my phone number. A phone number I had for almost 20 years.Updated 4. Over 3 weeks and no reply. Straight Talk has better customer service than Verizon and Straight Talk customer service absolutely sucks. It boggles my mind that I would not even get a reply to a problem as simple as give me my damn phone number back.
STOPPED IN TO GET A SETTINGS ISSUE RESOLVED. THE EMPLOYEE WHO ASSISTED ME WAS VERY NICE & PROFESSIONAL & VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. SHE RESOLVED MY CONCERN EASY...PEEZEE, AND FOUND SOME OTHER PROBLEM AREAS THAT I WAS UNAWARE OF AND MADE THE NECESSARY CORRECTIONS. 👍😎👍
Great customer service but the order got messed up and instead of switching a line they added a line
Yes it’s a long wait however they do good service - I expect to wait a long time for all the service I expect when I go to a Verizon store. You ask for premium service and you wait for it, that is life
Upon arrival I felt that the person who greeted me at the door was dismissive and uninterested in my business. I went to upgrade my daughters phone but the individual at the door was not interested in helping us. We sat in the car in the parking lot and ordered my daughters phone. I truly enjoy the service provided by Verizon but their store staff could definitely use a refresher course in customer service. The young man who met us at the door was a horrible example of customer service.!
Awesome service! Shannon has been helping us for a long time because she gets it done right the first time. I’d recommend Shannon any day!
I was lost in Hickory for a doctors appointment for my 15-month-old son when my phone died at the same time as our car charger. The Verizon store was conveniently located, with super helpful staff who found the perfect car charger for me that works and gave my phone the juice it needed to guide me three hours back home. I didnt have to wait very long with a fussy child. They saw to my need the moment I entered, and during rush hour.
Not friendly. Not helpful. Customer Service Sucks at Hickory October 19th
Awful experience! Very rude and always an extreme wait! I’ve found the the Verizon store in Granite Falls is MUCH nicer to deal with. Don’t waste your time here
Stopped in Verizon to see about getting a replacement phone. We have a business account and have been with Verizon well over 10 years. They refused to give me any information or assistance despite having all the correct information (been through this a few times)I went out to my car, called the 800 number for Verizon, talked to the nicest man and my insurance claim is done! Less than 5 min. Get better customer service in your stores
No help at all, wouldn’t help my wife transfer information to new phone. Her exact words, “douche bag.” Will not go there again.
Good customer service despite of always being busy. I recommend Aaron Atkins to anyone. He is the best, he always goes above and beyond for his customers. If he isn’t there I find out when he will be and return then.
The manager Emanuel was very rude and acted like my concerns were not of importance. The door person Dillon was even more rude than the manager and it seemed as if he wanted to get aggressive with me. Numerous his tone and how looked at me was in an aggressive manner.
I went there on Black Friday and got swindled! Had to wait for over an hour! And there is nowhere for waiting customers to sit!I and my son were there together and we were told that we could get 2 iPads for $99.00 each. I also wanted a new phone and the sales lady just played with her iPad tapping away, never being professional enough to inform me of plans and prices that were available. I had to go online and look for myself. I went back yesterday because I still cannot get into My Verizon app and this saleslady didnt know how to help me either! Im considering cancelling and bringing everything back.I am a video reviewer and blogger and need to do a review on my experience.I have never been so disappointed in my life! I expected better service!Recently, I called 611 and asked to please have the Activation fees waived. The Rep said she would and gave me $150 off my bill. I STILL DO NOT SEE THE CREDIT! Plus Im still not receiving any text messages! Even after I went into the Hickory North Carolina store and waited an hour to be helped! If I cannot get any help and I cannot use a phone or service Im not getting Im thinking of cancelling!12/19/2019I emailed you and I await your response. Thank you very much!
The was very helpful to start. Then credit didnt pass and lost interest we didnt want accessories either looked upset that some past customers came in for him and we had him tied up. Didnt sign us up for the proper data package. Fixed it myself lots of employees when we went though
People are great, but Im no longer a customer because their services are too expensive
Give your name at door. Wait on message or a wave to come in.
The lady who set us up on our plan was extremely nice and helpful. She pro used us with her card and asked us to please call if we had any issues or questions. I would rate her as a 5...although I walked in a week later to see if they had a screen protector for my phone and this time the customer service...not so great very impatient as if I was taking his commission from helping someone else who may be purchasing something larger or setting up a new contract. My grandmother also dealt with this employee and she felt dumbed down. Also a minus as we were there 2-3 hours setting up our phones and there was no baby changing station.
Very very busy place today with a the great deals. Greeted at door by friendly staff
Recently my wife and I purchased new phones and within a month or two a issue raised about our account. So we headed up to our provider with the concept that it would be WW III. To our surprise they were very polite and helpful. Issue resolved.Thank you Verizon.
Saw associate for small fixes to old phone. Helpful, no hard sale. Was with a friend & was assisted quickly. Associate was very nice & professional.
I like the cell phone service that I get from Verizon. What I cant stand is there store business model. It is ridiculous to have to wait for a sales associate to help you, when all you need is a phone charger or any other accessories, which are hanging on the wall. One could simply help themselves and go straight to the register, and be in and out within minutes. They make you wait for an associate so that they can up sale you to death. I can understand if you need a new phone, or a service plan change, but for general shopping, it is ridiculous.I will never shop at a Verizon store again.
Slow service
Short staffed incredibly busy. Even when people were done with customers able stand around talking to other employees for about 5 to 10 minutes while we were there for least an hour to half an hour.
Could be better in some ways but pretty reliable mostly and were still customers so I guess that’s a good sign
I went in to upgrade my phone, the woman who assisted me was extremely rude and consistently telling me she didnt care what phone I chose (I was deciding between two different phones) but she kept telling me she didnt care because she got paid the same either way and shes going to make the same money no matter what etc all throughout the long period of time that I was there and had an overall general too good for this attitude. Will definitely not be doing that again.
