Whether youre looking for Afghan or Pakistani groceries, or halal meat, theyll have it! My familys been going there for at least 2 years and were always pleased and never had a issue! The owner and the employees are all around nice people and are very welcoming!!!

The personnel there helped me find the item I was looking for because I totally passed it up on the bottom shelf. He was really nice, courteous, professional and patient with helping me find what I needed. The packaging was all sticky, so I had to wash the stickiness off really good when I got home. I would say that the shelves and items need a good wipe down with hot water and a rag to get the sticky stuff off the shelves so that its not on the items packaging.

Prices are so high and bad customer service.

They have a nice safe way location. The parking lot outside is just so spacious! The store is clean inside and has everything you need.

The prices are great. You may have to express to the butchers exactly what you want. Because they have a tendency to work from the predominantly customers base request. Like for example I clearly told him to cut the whole chicken in 8 pieces....he chopped/ cut it into chunks like you might use for stews or something...definitely not for Frying chicken type !!! So communication is an issue. Then as I stood there waiting for the customer ahead of me stirred the meat cutters what she wanted. They took the time to package her order to her expectations. Then my time came....they didnt cut the meat to my desire....then they just threw it in the plastic bags and handed it to me. I said please package my meat as you did the previous customer. While I will go again.....Ill just be more forceful with my request.

Nice, clean market with halal Meats. They also have really good Turkish Delight from Istanbul. I felt like I was in Istanbul. It has better taste than I ate in Istanbul.

You can get real non modified meat if you eat meat. Good prices.

I usually shop from this store. There is a Spanish employee. He is really nice with customers. But there is an Afghan guy speaking English every time. He doesn’t even help customers. I hope they solve this issue.

The best place for zabiha halal chicken, especially Tahir chicken. The folks are pleasant and the butchers are really friendly (and they do the best job at cleaning/cutting). I drive 30 mins, skipping several halal meat places for this spot.

Great rate on the baby goat and meat is very fresh. The only thing I was surprised at was the fat weight I was charged for. I received 20 pound of meat but was charged for 23 pounds. Thats actually $21 extra and we usually use the fat for kabobs. So I suggest to tell them that you want to the fat because it also hasa lot of meat with it.

Every time I eat here, I am reminded of how delicious the food is. My wife loves the eggplant appetizer and I like the mixed platter because we get a little of everything. Also, the service was excellent. Our server was a young woman from Morocco that spoke several different languages. She put us at ease allowing us to choose the seating and the gave off a really good vibe. My son wouldnt stop making eyes at her. Merci beaucoup!

Dry fruits are organic and you can tell the difference as soon as you start chewing on it.They have all kinds of Indian, afghan, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Middle Eastern, Somali and Sudani, spices. It is an international market with all kinds of groceries from all over the world.Mostly food items, but they do have other Home supplies.Very satisfied, will be back!

One of my favorite....if not favorite Halal market in Houston. Prices are super great....generally meat selections are Always fully stocked....if not the guy will make and package what you ask for....

I buy halal meat from some other shop but today they ran out, so I head to this shop. Meat looked fresh and prices were cheaper than the place I usually buy. They have Tahir halal chicken, fresh goat and beef. Butchers are Hispanic(not fluent in English but they are good at their work). One thing that caught my eyes as I was checking out were the dry fruits and as per them they import them from Afghanistan. I will buy the dry fruits soon on my next visit.

I was looking to buy some lamb meat and went there based on reviews that I have read. Well I was not disappointed. The place was clean, the butcher was cool and knew what he was doing. Got in and got out. Customer service was great.

Very friendly people and I always buy meat from them as its much fresh than the frozen junk sold at Walmart/HEB and other places. Also then have a variety ofspices to choose from and some frozen varieties. I just wished they had a bigger store. But other than that its always a pleasing experience.

We just moved to Houston from New York City and were shocked at how much more expensive halal meat was in Houston. However the reviewers were correct Afghan Halal seems to have the best rates in town, and comparable to what we were used to. Chicken was almost 50 cents less than even the Gulshan store down the street, rice and wheat also significantly less compared to other Houston stores. The meat was also very fresh, you could see it and when cooked the quality was confirmed. They have made us into loyal customers and this is going to be our one stop shop for all our halal/desi grocery needs.

Store is overcrowded and slightly dingy. What meat market only sells veal? I asked for various cuts of beef only to be turned down because they has no idea what ribeye was.

If customers specify the product and ask why your price is high then the cashier says that our quality is better than that or the cashier will say that brand is different than ours. A simple example Good Day biscuits are 69 cents in subhalaxmi grocers and in this store they are selling at 79 cents .Same brand & Size.why?. Infact the price is only 50 cents in Manpasand Grocers. This is just an example.I have compared the prices of other products. Some products are more expensive than Fiesta, Subhalaxmi Grocers and Gulshan E Iqbal. Customers, please compare the price with other stores before writing reviews here.Dont Misguide other customers. Customers are price sensitive.
