I cant say enough about how I feel about my buying and delivery experiences from River Oaks Jeep. Over the years I have bought 5 vehicles from them (4 wranglers). I love my Wranglers and unusual circumstances have led to most of my trades. In prior years I have shopped at other dealers around Houston, but always ended buying at River Oaks. I dont even bother with that any more. I always have confidence that I will be treated fairly at River Oaks and have not been proven wrong yet. I purchased a used 2018 Jeep Rubicon. I cant say enough good about how I was treated. My salesperson was Randy Novosad, a long time employee at River Oaks. I took the vehicle for a test drive. Upon returning, I wanted to check around a little more and make sure this was the vehicle I wanted. Randy was very accommodating and agreed to hold the vehicle for 5 days. I did not feel under any pressure to complete the purchase.After making my decision to purchase, I made an offer that I believed was appropriate. My offer was accepted. I completed part of the paperwork online. Upon arrival at the dealership to finish the purchase, Randy accompanied me to the finance department where I met Ray Edmund, Finance Director. Ray processed the paperwork electronically and did not attempt to add anything I didnt need or request. The finance process went very smoothly. I also met briefly with Tony Valerio, the accessories Director.All in all, I had an excellent experience at River Oaks used vehicle department. My family and I have purchase approximately 4 vehicles in two weeks from the River Oaks dealership on Kirby.Recently I had to go back to River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Ram dealership for a squeaking noise on my 2021 Ram 1500, and I worked with the highly motivated and intelligent Betty who will be the service manager. Ms. Betty got my truck in and fixed the issue. The service department were very transparent and helpful fixing my issue where another Ram dealership couldn’t fix. I will be purchasing more vehicles and getting more work done at the service department.Again thanks Betty!

Awful service department and worst Service Manager....They would not fix the DEATH WOBBLE on our new Rubicon under warranty.Complained to the BBB and turns out that this place has a low grade with the BBB....but they claim otherwise.The guys couldnt even reset the radio which has a mind of its own and also has been acting up and turning off on its own. Not even a reset.Extremely poor communication from Betty as well. Would not talk to us.But they have another BBB complaint coming up.

Horrible experience in their pre-owned dept. The worst customer service, I guess because I was a woman. I was helped by Pete, I believe that was his name and barely even acknowledge me. I took my 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 lifted and in very good condition to get a buy back offer and he gave me a price of $15000 way under what it was worth. While he was helping me he took a call and left me waiting until he was done. He didn’t even say excuse me. We walked into his office and he didn’t even offer me to sit down. He was not courteous at all. He kept talking to other people all while he was supposed to be helping me. Then some of the other guys in that office were talking about their personal life and the woman they meet when they go out. They made me feel so uncomfortable as they didn’t even care I was there to be expressing themselves about woman the way they were. I felt so disgusted by their conversation. They didn’t even try to whisper or talk in low voice. Thank god I left pretty quick after that. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I’m glad to say I sold my vehicle at exactly what it was worth to another agency. And let me just say what a difference of atmosphere and customer service. Forget the customer service the respect they gave me as a person. I hope no one ever experience what I experienced at this location with their employees.

So where do I start? Ismael was and still is my sales person. I feel like I could relate to him so well because of his personality. You don’t notice the sales approach at River Oaks because they don’t push sales like other dealerships. The approach is more personal. Ismael knew the process well and the vehicle I was interested in and quickly helped me configure my special order Challenger the way I envisioned it. It took a few months for the special order to come in but he did not forget about me nor did he push sales either. It was the way I always want to buy a car. But after 20 years of buying cars this was the first time I was able to buy the car my way. There were no games played throughout the process. And the financing was easy. Our finance manager, Trey, even gave me and my daughter some great financial tips about managing the loan, our credit, and in general. I’ve never experienced that before either. Ismael stays in touch with me even after the sale. Hands down, this was the best vehicle purchase experience I’ve ever had even over Saturn’s no-haggle experience back in the day. Oh and I met, Mr. Helfman, the owner - he gave me a GREAT gift that day. And he’s a working owner, usually on the showroom floor. Again a great experience and credit to the Dodge and Jeep brands!

Unlike the sales team here. The service department is corrupted, running a scam! and the leader of it is the manager Betty! She has no professionalism, rude & screams at you, and not emphatic.Three times they misdiagnosed my car, causing me to spend THOUSANDS! She claims that her technicians knows what they’re doing which is not entirely true. Don’t take your car to get serviced here, you will get screwed! Look at the Yelp reviews! Google reviews are decent because of promotions. Look at the Yelp reviews.

Called to check out a Ram Limited 4x4 showing as available inventory. Worked with Randy who set-up the test drive, answered questions and was NOT pushy at all. Decided to buy the vehicle after sleeping on it the next morning and Randy immediately took the vehicle out of sales and held it until I could arrive later in the day to work out the details. The closer (Finance) was pleasant to work with and didnt try to upsell, just sign all the documents, cut a check and be on my way. Id happily check their inventory the next time Im in the market for another vehicle.

I was helping my daughter find a new vehicle because her previous car had been rear-ended and totaled. So searching on line we found a vehicle that was exactly what she was looking for at River Oaks Jeep Dodge Ram in Houston. All the other jeep dealers said that it was impossible to find what we were looking for and that it would have to be ordered. Just to be clear, it was simply a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon w/ a manual transmission and a hard top, that was it. I was not from the area, but called up and talked to Andrew and we had an honest deal in about 10 minutes. I flew in to Houston and we had the SAME EXACT DEAL that we had on the phone. Interest rates, payments and all the details we talked about were as discussed. Now I have purchased several cars in different states, and my Mercedes van was even shipped cross country, but I have to say that River Oaks Jeep in Houston did an excellent job and I really appreciate not having to ask what is this added cost, and what is that added cost. I also appreciate that they had a complete inventory of Rubicons, from the base w/ a manual trans up to the fully loaded ones. Avoid this dealer if you’re trying to get warranty work on your Ram Jeep Chrysler vehicle. I clearly qualified and got rejected on some defective paint I was trying to get warranty repair on. Plus very unattentive staff in the body shop and service manager had to keep calling them on top of being rejected go elsewhere.

This review is for the service department.I was very pleased with the service I received on my car. They had it for over a month (extensive work) but kept me updated at every point in the process. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. They went above and beyond and I am grateful.

Brought my car for a full tuneup and diagnostic check up as my car was having issues driving. Bill came out to be just under 1800 which was ok as I needed this done as my vehicle is important for work. William was great to work with and this isn’t a slight to him as I figure something went wrong through the chain. Fast forward 2 weeks later and my car breaks down again, as it’s having issues starting. I’m able to get my vehicle to the dealer to which I’m told I will have to spend about another 350-400 for what they think is a battery replacement. My frustration arises in why this wasn’t found out prior just a few weeks ago. I’m willing to change this review rating on customer service if this is corrected. When I was back at the dealership I was not seen by William again as he was on break, it’s likely he would have handled the situation better.

A Great Experience! I special ordered a new Pacifica with Blake, and was excited to have a new van this Summer. Unfortunately, I discovered the van would be too tight to fit in my garage, so I had to back out of the order before the van was actually built. Over 2 weeks ago I want to say, I gave River Oaks CDRJ a call to inquire about a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee they have listed on their website. A new car sales advisor Mark took my called and we talked about me wanting to purchase the car and he mentioned that he’ll text me all the information within a few hours. Well a few hours turned into a day, a day turned into a week, a week turned into 2 + weeks with no call from Mark. I said oh well I guess they don’t want to sell me the car. So I went to a much more customer friendly dealership and bought me the same exact car with people who actually helped me. My gain, their lost 👋🏼.

I order my new 2021 Durango around the middle of May 20th and from that point till the time I picked it up Sam Miranda sent me updates on its progress. I got the car on June the 23rd. The people here have been very nice and even more important they have been very willing and able to help with some of the features of the car that I didnt understand. It has been a very pleasant experience.

Best buying experience Ive had. They are running a first-class operation. Great folks in sales, management, and finance. Mr. Helfman was present on the floor the entire time I was there making sure customers were taken care of.

Helfman called me at 11am Wednesday to see if I was still interested in the Jeep, I said yes just need to sell the truck first at Texas Direct Auto. I called the sales guy in at 3:00 p.m. and said I was on the way. Arrived at 6pm...sold it to someone else! Now I have no vehicle! Bad business practices and they refuse to own their mistake. I ran the IT for auto dealerships across Texas for 3 years, they messed with the wrong person. Avoid this place at all costs. Cross posting this on every review site I can find.

Told as a cash customer they would try to keep cost down on repairs, work with me.... what a joke. Never ever recommend to anyone again, and I had been a loyal customer. Very disappointing!!!

The follow up and customer service here is by far the worst I have experienced at any dealer. DO NOT BUY from here. I went in to purchase a Ram 1500 longhorn. They did not have the one I wanted in stock so we had to order it. The order was done over the phone with Jim. He said the truck would be here in a couple of weeks, no problem. This is where all the problems start. No one ever contacted me giving me updates so i had to take it upon myself to do so. In one of the follow up calls that I made an error on the order was found with the wheels. They said not to worry they will order a new one with the right wheels. The first truck arrives i go to look at it. Not only were the wheels wrong but the bumpers were not the ones i wanted. I made it clear to with several follow up calls that i needed the wheels and the bumpers that i wanted on the truck. I was reassured that the order was going to be right this time. Now the second truck arrives, mind you no updates had been given to me. They ask me to come in to complete the purchase and the bumpers were still wrong. It has been almost 3 MONTHS since my initial order. I asked them to find a solution on changing out the bumpers. The manager told me that this is the truck your getting and thats it. I have cost them too much by reordering the truck which was there mistake to begin with. And to top it all off the price changed from the initial price I was given. They clearly are a bottom line volume type dealership where people are treated as a number. I STRONGLY urge you to stay clear of this dealership, you will regret it.

My husband purchased a new Ram 2500 from River Oaks. We live almost 200 miles away and were searching dealer inventories in surrounding areas. River Oaks Internet Manager Jonathan Hagger responded right away and and offered us a great deal on the exact truck we had inquired about. We agreed and set up a date and time to go to Houston for the truck. I recently purchased a 2019 Jeep Compass from this dealership. I have gone in for service many times in the last year for various issues with my jeep. Luis has been helping me out almost every time, and he is the single reason I give this dealership a 5 star rating. Luis is the model of professional, understanding, punctual, and knows exactly what he is talking about. He is the only person I have met here so far that goes above and beyond for his customers to make sure they are taken care of in the best way. If you ever have your vehicle serviced, ask for LUIS!!!! He is incredible, and I can’t thank him enough for all he has done for me. 5 stars across the board, and thank Luis so much again!!!!!

I was looking for Jeep Grand Cherokee online, and I quickly discovered this was the dealership to visit. They had a large inventory to choose from, so I was able to quickly find the one I wanted. After finding it online, I went in person, and Darrell was very helpful in showing us what was on the lot -- including the Grand Cherokee I saw online. Darrell helped us find similar models so we could be sure it was what we wanted, then we took a test drive. After that, the purchasing process was easy, with Trey walking us through. Everyone I met was very nice and helpful.

I was eager to purchase a Wrangler Sahara, with a couple of Rubicon upgrades; to include wheels & tires and a steel front bumper. I went to the dealership in Clear Lake and they told me we cant do that. I said thank you and headed to River Oaks Jeep. The salesman, Tony Valerio, assured me he could make it happen. I received follow up by the staff at River Oaks to ensure the buying experience was meeting my expectations. Like most Jeep owners, Im very particular when it comes to details. Tony did everything possible to get it right and he exceeding my expectations. I now have the Sahara-con I really wanted. Thank you Tony and the entire team at River Oaks!

UPDATE: 1 week after purchase of a brand new Wrangler, the vehicle broke down hard 400 miles away (needs at least a partial engine replacement, clutch replacement, partial cooling system replacement, etc). When I called River Oaks asking for my money back as the vehicle was clearly a lemon, they essentially told me to pound sand and take it up with corporate as they would not work with me on making the situation right. The dealership that I was towed to diagnosed the damage and told me that if I had purchased the vehicle from them, that they would have taken the vehicle back no questions asked (open and shut case). I did not purchase a new Wrangler only to require a rebuilt engine, transmission, and cooling system within a week. I would strongly recommend NOT purchasing a new vehicle from River Oaks Jeep as they will not stand behind the products that they sell. Sale itself and service experiences were fine, however, customer service (really, lack there of) from dealership management after you have paid is totally unacceptable.ORIGNAL: Worked with Jared on reserving and buying a new Wrangler. Amazing service at the service department! they took care of our Jeep Wrangler and provided 5 star service at every step! this is the second time we have been to the service department with different vehicles and they are fantastic they go above and beyond and my Jeep looks and runs great!!!

Great service from Blake and Gergory. I buy 2 vehicles a year for the company I work for and this year I decided to get away from my Ford fleet dealership and try something new. They let my take a Jeep so I could take some pictures of the suspension and test drive it to see if would fit my companies needs. Worked with Trey at River Oaks to purchase a vehicle and the experience was pretty good. Out of the 5 dealers I contacted about posted vehicles this was the ONLY dealership that showed the vehicle with the actual price they were selling it for. Other dealerships show a low price then come back around adding a few grand for dealer add-ons which is ridiculous.The price was super competitive after some negotiating and Trey was very communicative during the process. When we arrived to pick up the truck the F&I experience was straight forward with no upselling or anything we were in and out.Overall I would give Trey and River Oaks another shot if we are in the market for another vehicle at their dealership.

I ordered a Jeep Wrangler from the factory on Saturday, only to find out Monday I needed a different model for GVWR reasons.
