I decided to patronize West Houston Auto Repair after reading and comparing reviews. One reviewer mentioned that the business owner was trying to do the right thing/be a good business person. So, after seeing for myself, I agree.The establishment (inside and outside) was bright, clean and welcoming for an auto repair shop. I was greeted warmly and after chatting about the issues, my vehicle was promptly taken to the back. After about 10 minutes, the issue was confirmed and explained thoroughly. Id already done pricing research prior to, and I felt that the price quoted to me was accurate and fair. I was NOT up-sold on any service and was shuttled home (complimentary) by another very kind gentleman. The service was completed within a few hours and the shuttle picked me up. Its been almost a week and Ive experienced zero problems.I appreciate the stellar customer service by all three gentlemen I spoke to that day, the time and cost efficiency and, so far, the work that was done. I have found my go-to auto repair shop!

I took my car to this garage to get the oil changed and to get estimates on a brake job and a/c.. The crew took care of the oil change, and the estimates. The next day I returned and had those two repairs done. Their prices are very competitive, and the guys are very friendly and professional. Its a great place to take your car or truck.

When my car battery went out on me I went online to do price comparisons. I could not believe how much batteries cost these days. So a friend of mine recommended this place. I am very pleased with the quality of service and professionalism that I received there. I plan on continuing doing business with them in the near future. Erick, the owner, is trying to run an auto repair business the right way. All the folks there are personable and respectful. They don’t upsell but direct you to what you really need. This is my first time to use them. I made the mistake of taking a major repair to a different shop because of a “friends” recommendation. Big mistake. I was told to bring my car here by my insurance company after an accident. Some major repairs were needed mostly to do with suspension and rim/tire repair. They were very professional and courteous.After picking up my car today, a small issue popped up with the engine (cylinder misfiring) which had nothing to do with the accident. They explained to me what it was and took care of it anyway. Really appreciated that since I had just paid for everything that the insurance covered.I would recommend taking your car here for your auto repair needs.

Amazing service!! I just recently move into this area from cypress and Needed the brakes changed on a car badly. The noise was horrible and was clear they hadnt been changed in a long time. I went in and the guy at the front was super nice and even took me out to show me what needed to be done. Which was my rear drums. He explained what needed to be ordered and the wait time and I ran to do errands. I got a call about 2 hours later that the noise had still persisted and that the issue was the front brake pads in the front left. Which werent checked initially, them assuming that the right front was good so the left should be the same. It frustrated me that the left wasnt checked but i assured him that it was ok. And id come back another day to do the from pads. we hung up and within 5 minutes he called me back and said he would be ordering the pads and installing them for free. I was definitely taken aback and did not in anyways want him to do a service for free but he insisted. He explained that I seemed upset when he told me the news and he never wants an upset customer. He did the work and I picked up my care about an hour later. I have never been to a shop with just great customer service and passion for its customers. I have told all my family and we look forward to using this shop for all our car needs. Its rare you find such a genuine person in this field but Im grateful for all he did even though it wasnt asked of him. I will be back and encourage everyone else to stop by and try this shop out. You wont be let down.

The service I have received here at West Houston Auto Repair has been nothing but excellent!! They let you know exactly what is wrong and do not try to get over on you like some service repairs guys. Came here for a second opinion. Was cheaper than my usual person. Thorough knowledgeable. Had a coupon that I received in the mail so that was an added perk.. shuttle service provided. No need to wait hours in lobby area. Ended up saving couple $$$.

I rarely leave reviews but I had to come and leave a raving one about WHAR. They are so welcoming and friendly. They did not try to gauge me or talk down to me and they were very transparent about the services I needed and the cost. I had to get to a class by 530p and Billy assured me they would have my car finished by then; my car was ready at 2p!After a dismal experience at West Houston Infiniti, I was so happy to have found WHAR. Billy is awesome and I thank the entire staff for operating an environment that exudes excellence. Affordable prices, prompt service and excellent customer service. I highly recommend them and will be taking my car nowhere else.

This shop is AMAZING! Definitely bringing my cars back here in the future if I ever need maintenance or repairs! They worked on my vehicle for about 4 hours and even provided a ride to pick up food. I have never left a review before but I need to this time. I took my 06 Toyota Prius Hybrid to West Houston Auto Repair 2 saturdays ago with a major coolant leak that was located somewhere below the hybrid battery though the A/C was still blowing cold. My usual auto repair shop could not repair it so referred me to the dealer. well, we know how that goes.I did a google search for Toyota specialists and I found them with loads of positive/good reviews so I decided to try them. I left my car till Monday to allow them enough time and not rush and Erik was upfront that the tech had not worked on taking out that part before but was confident they will get it done. and that they did.Im glad I came here, I have not found any issues and they gave great customer service. they offered a free drop off to and pick up from my house when my car was ready (Scott was amazing). I found this business from a search online of repair places near me and I was skeptical but I found myself needing urgent service. I was pleasantly surprised. They were thorough, transparent, very communicative throughout the process and got my car back to me in a couple of days. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family and will definitely go back should I need anything in the future. I dont know much about cars so I cant vouch for the technical stuff but i know how they made me feel and that was valued and appreciated, oh and my car runs great and no longer overheats!

West Houston Auto Repair did a great job today servicing my vehicle. I have known and done business with Steve since the 1990s. I am so glad that he has his own shop again!The waiting area is spacious and clean. As always, Steve’s bathroom is clean. He greeted me with his warm smile and introduced me to Eric. They asked simple questions and reminded me of things i hadn’t paid attention to but that I needed: an oil change and inspection.They analyzed my brakes, called me within an hour with all the details, and talked with me about all the options. I asked about the pricing for the upgraded brake pads, which Eric explained very well to me.I dropped the vehicle off late in the morning and had it available for pickup by 5:30 the same day! Their guys in the bay were working hard on the vehicles and seemed glad to be there.Overall, I would highly recommend the “long drive” out to Hwy 6 and Briar Forest. It’s actually a quick trip. I got there so fast that I actually drove past their shop the first time and had to turn around! Living near 610 and I-10, I am glad to go somewhere for fair, honest, and excellent same-day service.I can’t wait to take our other cars out there and have them enter us into their system. I heard that their coupons come out regularly and are great deals!FIVE STARS to the W.H.A.R. team!

I am very thankful the guys at West Houston Auto was able to get my vehicle up and running again. These guys pulled it off when other so call mechanics couldn’t. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 stars because there was some other underline issues that I myself think could have been resolved while the vehicle was there. I went in to west Houston auto repair at 10am, not knowing what was wrong with my vehicle. Erick assured me everything would be looked at and he would keep me updated, well he did just that. He called me to let me know what the issues were and said he could have it fixed by same day. My battery, motor mount, catalytic converter, oil change and inspection were all done by the end of the day and not to mention he offers a payment plan! I was sooo happy, then I get in my car (2014 ford focus) and omg I did not realize how LOUD my car used to be .. I felt like I was in a brand new car it was sooo quiet!! Erick was very helpful with repairs needed on my 2014 Ford Explorer. I needed a new water pump and timing belt, and was not about to pay the Ford dealership $4000! My wife and I found this company via reviews just like this. We had a 2013 Ford Flex with no A/C. This is difficult during the hot of the Texas summer. They were friendly with the explanation of the problem and what needed to be done. We did not feel like they were talking down to us at any time. I took my Camaro in to have performance disk rotors installed and new pads and covers. Erick and Steve were both friendly and very professional.
