I have a bit of a special situation because I have only one vehicle and I must stay home nearly 24/7 because I am sole caretaker for my disabled wife, so getting anything repaired that takes me away from home is very hard to do. A friend recommended I go see Javier at Southwestern Muffler to get a new Pitman Arm installed on my 97 Suburban. I often get promises from people who just say they will do things and end up just wasting my time. . . but not at Southwestern Muffler. Javier understood that I could not be away from my wife for long and I needed to get this repair done ASAP and get back home. He told me I could return at 8:00 am the following morning and he would do the repairs right away. I arrived at 8:00 am the next morning and by 8:45 am he was done. He did EXACTLY what he promised. The Mgr is very polite and knows what he is talking about, I had my 2014 Dodge Ram in for exhaust work. The tech Mr Richard that did the work was very persistent on getting it perfect and looking good. I would recommend the shop 100 percent.

I went in today with an odd muffler noise. They looked at it, saw bent shield, straightened it out and sent me on my way in 5 minutes with NO charge!!

Ive had dual exhaust for my last 3 trucks (going back to 2007) along with both my sons trucks installed at this shop. Ive moved to Tennessee, but was back in town visiting my boys and walked right in to have an exhaust installed. Quality work, great prices and even better people. Highly recommended!

This place told me I needed Catalytic converters on my truck and this would be the only way to get my check engine off. 1500.00 dollars later the light is still on and they wont do anything to fix it. Im just to let you know dont trust places like this he bragged he has been around a lone time mow I see why because he is cheating people. I turned them into the better business.

This place has very professional staff. Service is very fast, I went to two other shops to get my tips on my truck welded and they both told me to come back the next day. I took my car in today for a check engine light diagnosis and repair, as well as brake pad replacements and a oil change. It was definitely a positive experiance. Very fast service, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. They are honest and advise you of pricing before any work is done. Have a súper bad experience here at Southwest Muffler & Brakes, the guy in the counter is not gentler and he dont help customers I went to bring a vehicle from one of my customer and he says to me he cant fixed with out go and look my muffler issue, why because I coming from other shop . Im not a competitor Im a customer also. I bring the car to other muffler shop and be fixed and the owner help me with no problem thank to MAXY MUFFLERS .

Several years ago, they installed a dual exhaust system on my ‘64 Ford F100. The welds were clean and without holes. A few times after the install, a weld on one of the supporting arms that suspends the exhaust from the truck broke causing the exhaust pipe to bounce minimally as I drove. I was impressed with their great customer service and Javier’s desire to make it right. He didn’t charge me several times to have them fix it. Eventually, they welded in a new supporting arm to secure the pipe. I haven’t had issues since.

I have done business here for years. They are knowledgeable and been reasonable on price. They do allot more than just mufflers check them out.

These guys go above & beyond. I dont really trust anyone else with my car. They pretty much to everything you need. Even if they cant fix it, they can honestly tell you what you need & most importantly they dont charge an arm & a leg. Very reasonable.

I highly recommend to ladies. They definitely will not try to take advantage of you. Im almost 50 and have had this experience so many times at other places and it makes me fear getting any sort of auto work. I went to Advanced Auto Parts and they gave me a 301 code-cylinder misfire and referred me to Mario Automotive down the street where I was given a quote of over $200. Took it here to get a second opinion and the mechanic said he didnt feel right about charging me for repairs when my engine light is not on and its starting up fine. Its been a week and havent had any problems with my car since. Ive been coming here for years for my brake pads. I was going to Toyota and paying $300 every year. This place charged me $300 because I damaged my rotors but fixed it and every year since they only charge me $60 for labor and the parts have a lifetime warranty!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ESPECIALLY FOR LADIES WHO DONT WANT TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.

Very impressed. Got me right in for a 4-wheel alignment with computer, finished within an hour, $59.95. What a deal!

I was impressed not only because of their fair price on a 4 wheel alignment but impressed they never gave up on my car, I know there must of been a very hard to loosen bolt in one of those tires, but they went above and beyond, I saw them test drive my car at least 2 times until he got it to where it needed to be. The spent time and were fast to take my car in.

In today’s world it’s almost impossible to find a mechanic (of any sort) thats honest & fair. I came here to get an exhaust put on because it was right by my office. As I was waiting, I noticed a couple of things... 1.) how honest & kind the owner was with his customers 2.) the majority of them were happy returning customers. This place is a diamond in the dust y’all!

My first time going here I was just passing by and saw it so I stopped. I came in and was instantly greeted and helped. As Im sitting there an older guy walks through the door and asked me if Ive been helped. I tell him yes, then he proceeds to tell me who he was. The owner of the company. We began to engage in conversation and found out that both of us lived in Wisconsin at one point in time. I was thankful for the great customer service. So i came back a few more times. Which leads me to this point in the review. Today I was in total shock at the dishonesty and deceit. I gave it the benefit of the doubt last time because I figured, 🤷🏽‍♀️ Maybe I did need that fixed as well. But normally when something else needs to be repaired thats discussed with the customer before it is done and most certainly not when the customer is at the counter to pay for it. It totally through me off!!! I had such a great experience customer service wise. Even the customers that came in were nice and told me about there ties and how long theyve been coming there. So i honestly felt like nothing that you could think of happening at shops would happen in an establishment like this. A complete disservice to the owner of the business.

I had got a Cat-Back exhaust installed in my Mazdaspeed that I ordered online. These guys are quick efficient and very professional and the price was very fair. I got there at 10 they were done by 10:45.

Took my car to them after reading all the great reviewsand was completely disappointed in the end.They broke my car.My car was running a little loud, so I brought it to them.I left the car with them and wait for their diagnosis.They called, and gave me a very high price (close to 1,000 dollars ) to fix, which I declined.For that kind of money, at the very least, I wanted to get a second opinion.I was told it could cost me $100 for the diagnostic- no problem.When I went to get my car, it was running so loud, that it really was not drivable.It was as if the exhaust pipe was totally disconnected. I asked what is this?They tell me, something broke while they were working on the car.It appeared that, they were trying to force me to into that $1,000 fix.After a good 15 minutes of going back and forth,the manager decided to dropped the $100 fee they wanted for ***breaking my car****but I still had to drive off with a car that ran so loud I would have been ticketed if stopped.The next day, I had the car repaired at another shop for $180.00Shame on you, Southwest Muffler!

Worst Experience ever. My car was missing for a week and the Manager wouldnt tell me where it was. Even worse, they charged me for the service they completed that didnt even address what was wrong with my car.

I needed a cat. For a car I just bought. It was late in the day and they got me right in at a decent price. It was my new toy I had bought and I wanted to play with it LOL. It had a test pipe on it and I needed to get an inspection done. They put on the new cat and did the inspection for me right there!!

Stopped in for the first time. Muffler was loose. Didnt wait too long and got it fixed. Just a bracket and it was complimentary. They know how to treat customers. Ill be back.

Terrible experience. The mechanic I went to (Rafael) said he fixed all of these things on my car, but for one reason or another, he could never give me my car back. I had to show up with a sheriff, only to find out the mechanic never even touched my car. I wouldnt recommend anyone go here if you value your time or money, but if you already did, double check you car to make sure any replaced parts were actually replaced.
