Very unprofessional staff members. Will never consider renting from them. I’m glad my reservation was cancelled. It saved me from giving them a sale. The guy I spoke to began interrupting me from the moment I opened my mouth accusing me of trying to pick up my reservation an hour and a half late. When in reality according to the customer service representative I spoke with this location actually cancelled my 2:30pm reservation at 12:57pm.When I inquired about the $50 payment I would receive from Uhaul should they cancel a guaranteed reservation (which was guaranteed according to that same representative) I was told “Don’t nobody get no $50 dollars for cancelling their reservation, we don’t do that”. When I told him this policy was listed on the website he repeatedly denied it.Again, they are the ones who cancelled my reservation an hour and a half before I was even scheduled to pick it up. Very rude, very unprofessional, and very undesirable business. I’m surprised this guy has a job with his horrible demeanor. I guess they’re hiring anyone nowadays.
Super smooth pickup! I picked up on Monday morning and dropped off Wednesday morning. Used the mobile pickup option and only little hiccup was at the drop off but I think that was more on the Uhaul website.Everyone was very nice and helpful! Early morning is probably the best time to pickup of you are renting a van or truck. Nice and easy to find location.
The complaints of many of my fellow uhaul renters are falling on deaf ears. I currently (but not for much longer) have a unit at 6040 Westpark Drive, and for the past few years me and others having issues with one of the current tenants that verbally threatens us and confronts us in a violent manner over petty issues. He has called a black employee the N-Word he has ran someone over in the parking lot and the only reason this is allowed is and I quote “He rents so many units from us”. I was planning on expanding my business with yall, but now I am moving out along with a fellow tenant who has expressed the same issues. The store manage Johnathan Moreno is aware of the issues (even the previous manager virgil) but his superiors only care about the unit rentals. So since yall expect us to deal everyday with this person we are terminating our rental and any future rentals with u-haul, along with advising friends, family and business associates to not support this location.

I have only used the U-Haul, not the storage, but I have always found this to be one of the best managed U-Haul places I have been to. They know what vehicles they have, they usually have them ready. I have used this place several times over the past few years and its always been a good experience.

Best U-Haul experience ever - and so close to my home! Virgil the owner is very thorough and friendly, and yes when you return your truck he will go through it with you, so give yourself a few extra minutes. Its a family business. Lots of NEW trucks with backup cameras. And they offer storage units as well. Highly recommend!! Of course always get the CDW - its like $10-14.
Natasha helped me, she went out of her way to help me locate and find a UHaul truck that was not available for the day of my move at her location. I appreciated the extra effort to figure my situation out immediately while printing my time and reservation for another location.
This place is garbage. Drive the extra couple miles for better service. Customer service is out the window. My unit didnt even have a light bulb. When I asked for one it was like pulling teeth. And I STILL didnt get one. They said they had to order them. So Im still without a light. Stuck up attitudes.
The general manager at this location is just amazing!! Great people skills and extremely helpful!
Best customer service Ive ever had at U-Haul location! Stephanie was friendly and helpful on the phone and in-person when we arrived to size up the trailers and U-Box. She answered all our questions and made sure we didnt leave with any uncertainty. No pressure, just exceptional customer service, which was very unexpected for an independent U-Haul renter.We will DEFINITELY be coming back here when its time to move, and you should too!

We needed storage for transitional storage after our move to Houston. Ashlyn in the office was so helpful and sweet. The facilities were super clean and extremely secure, i loved that they had complimentary carts to move our stuff. I really appreciated that the restrooms were pristine and well air conditioned and the water fountain was clean and always delivered cold, crisp, great tasting water I was so impressed and will definitely go back for any storage needs.
Unfortunately they said I used more miles than I actually used and I was charged for it. Then even though I only went two blocks down the road, I still put gas in it to make sure they didnt try to charge me extra for the gas like I read on the reviews, but they still charged me for gas even though I returned it with more gas than I received it. I think there is definitely a scam going on there and I would never rent from there again or suggest it to anyone.
This location in particular has the best customer service. I would recommend to anybody, you will be pleased with the attitude of the staff and managers. Just the best team! I usually dont write reviews but I had to give these people the credit they deserve.
I’ve been to this location many times and I’ve received great customer service from the two employees I’ve had experience with ( Johnthan & a young women named Zeni ) . The last time I went I believe the assistant manager was there can remember her name but, she did not dare to acknowledge me .. Someone of a different color entered and she greeted them accordingly. I found that a tad strange !! Overall experience has been great, will definitely return

Been here twice and it’s been bad and worse dealing with their staff. They don’t know their products or registers or policies.
Things they can do better ...1. Be on time. The truck was not ready on time. (30 minutes late) 2. Not crash into poles. We witnessed one of the workers back up into a pole. 3. Answer phones. There was an Ill be back sign on the door and nobody would answer the phone. Store manager wouldnt answer either. Workers, including Katy Dumdie, saw me standing by the door and ignored me until I flagged her down. 4. And have better/some customer service. Very poor customer service from Katy Dumdie. Had a very negative demeanor and tone. She refused to answer questions and several times threatened to cancel my reservation if I didnt hurry up because she had other things to do. Another worker there had to help us because Katy left as soon as I signed and paid. (I ended up having to contact Uhaul and was helped by Scott Schmidt who was a lot more helpful than Katy) Overall very poor experience, I will not be going back, and I would definitely never refer anybody there.
Good location, clean and nice van. The best part is no waiting. In and out in 5 min both ways. The manager is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Having used trucks from this location late last year for an extended move, I have very mixed emotions about both their trucks and the quality of service at this location.First the quality of numerous trucks I rented over a six week span varied dramatically. All are automatic shift (a nod to American drivers) but several were noticeably rough when downshifting gears. This becomes a little annoying when driving on freeways where there is a lot of slow, then stop-and-start driving. By far the worst problem I experienced was with the trucks side view mirrors. In theory they should be easily adjustable, right? Several trucks had mirrors which were difficult to adjust. One had mirrors which were loose and moved each time a bump was hit (Houstons roads and freeways have hundreds of them). When I rented this one truck the female on-site property manager obviously knew about it, telling me Its a little loose, it just needs tightening. In reality the mirror proved impossible to keep adjusted. During my move the trip was 90% freeway driving. A loose mirror gave me numerous blind spots, not knowing or able to see what traffic was on my right side. Had I not had helpers who could watch for traffic, an accident would have eventually occurred. Renting out a vehicle knowing it has serious side view visibility problems still annoys me to this day. This location also tries to rent a vehicle out as many times during a 24 hour period as possible. The more times you rent out a truck, the more $$$ you earn. The first few times I rented a truck I was pestered with late afternoon calls from the rental office, Where are you, When will you be bringing the truck back, etc, etc. When renting a vehicle you are asked how long you will need the vehicle and if you are slow in responding, the rep will try to write down a time for you. My trips were on the opposite side of the city and involved driving some of the citys most congested roadways. It also involved erratic times for my crew to unload the truck, plus side visits to a bank to pay them, refill the gas tank to the odd level it had been in the morning, dropping off my crew and then returning the vehicle. After a while I got tired of guessing return times and began to give the rental agent a time 2 hours ahead just so I would not have to answer their pestering calls. Here are further discoveries I made over the six weeks of rentals. Each truck is expected to be cleaned before its return. If not, there is a $10 charge. All trucks are equipped with a bag of blankets. Open the bag and use them, you will be charged. Many times the truck also includes a dolly (two wheeled cart) which is also extra. An optional four wheeled cart is also extra. Daily rental rates which are so boldly painted on each truck are only for week day (Monday-Thursday) rentals. Want a weekend rental (Friday-Sunday), not only will the daily rent rate be more but so will the mileage rate (think 40% increase!). Since when did Friday become a weekend day? U Haul has thought of numerous ways to pad their charges. You are no longer given a vehicle with a full tank of gas. Think such odd numbers as 2/3, 1/2, 1/3 or even 1/4 tank and are expected to return the vehicle at the SAME odd level. Over fill your tank, its your loss and you will not be credited. Fail to return the truck at the same level of gas (as of last Sept) you will be charged $5 per gallon or a $25 fee on top of gas costs if the truck is brought back on empty! How many ways can you spell RIP-OFF ? Staff, especially the new owners (a husband and wife team) at the Westpark location can be moody. Its a crap shoot when it comes to face-to-face daily contact, but this location is all about discovering the many ways they pad their profits. Im still ticked off about their mirror problems and inflated Friday-is-a-weekend day rates.
Seriously the worst customer services ever! I tried this place 2 times ! Made a reservation and once I got there the front desks rep did not have the keys to any of the vehicles she calls the person that worked in the night shift and they didn’t know where the keys were for any of the pick up trucks the representative Katy started almost crying and being anxious couldn’t help me at all until I offered her if they can move my reservation to another place because she was giving me no more options second time I do my reservation as well the computers are down and Katie just keeps saying she doesn’t know what to do she she doesn’t wanna work here anymore it is very bad customer service

Virgil and Ashlyn are running a great property. I see the place improving all the time and the new covered canopy and LED lighting are great additions. The whole staff is happy to help when I need something and use thier knowledge of the system to make sure I get the best deal no matter what vehicle I need. They have some new vehicles in the fleet and I always enjoy how clean and reliable my rental is. U-Haul just rolled out after hours pick up and drop off that is quick and easy, no more having to wait for them to open and I know my total, as well as the reason for the total right away so I can budget better. Love UHaul and will definitely return.

Hands down best UHaul facility I’ve been to and I frequent them all over US. as I own a shipping business. Easton (sorry if I spelt it incorrect) I believe her name was, had to be the nicest associate I’ve ever encountered at uhaul. She was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had exactly what I needed and even supplying a few tips for a delicate antique I’m shipping north that I didn’t think of doing myself. So great to see employees like this out there as a business owner I especially realize how rare that is. Hang on to her she’s certainly a great assist to your store here. Thank you again.
I rented a truck from U-Haul Moving & Storage of Westpark 2 days ago and forgot my headphones underneath the seat. I called the very next morning to see if the person who checked my vehicle in saw it and picked it up by chance. So I called and “Store Manger” said he will go out and check the truck. Upon return, I could hear it in his voice that he may be lying. He asked a few random questions then said he is going to check with the person who checked the truck in; then he hung up. He never asked for my contact info or anything. That made him seem very suspicious. So I called back and asked to speak directly to ZENI GRANT (the employee who checked my truck it. The operator asked me why I wanted to speak with Zeni, so I began to explain my situation, and she immediately cut me off and said “didn’t you just speak to the Store Manager?” So I said yes, but he didn’t even take my information so I wanted to ask Zeni myself. Her reply was “well Zeni is not hear today”. I said okay, thank you.The next day, I waited around to see if they just might of call me and update me. NO PHONE CALL.So I drove up there. And that was POINTLESS. At the desk was the “Store Manager”He said “no, I didn’t find it. Zeni didn’t find it either. I saw her leaving that day, if she had them I would of seen her with it. He proceeded to say that the leave their trucks unlock at night and sometimes homeless people sleep in them, so it might of been one of them that took it. At that point I was dumbfounded and felt lied to.I am disappointed with ZENI GRANT and the “Store Manager”
It appears they have so many customers that they dont need new ones. Needed to rent a truck but couldnt get in because parking lot was occupied. 2 staff members there didnt care and didnt even try to suggest anything. They just kept right on doing whatever on the computer.

This would be a zero star if I was able to rate it a zero. I made a reservation at night for the following day for the Fondren location. I received a call and text message saying my reservation was set for noon which is never agreed to. When I called the store back after my missed call it told him I wouldnt be able to pick up at that time. He gave me a time frame from 1:00 - 4:30 to pick it up. Once I got there they told me I had 1 hour to bring it back. I didnt not end up getting it I had to drive to another location to pick one up and Uhaul would not even consider giving a discount for the inconvenience or horrible customer service I received.
Staff are friendly, prices are good, had a pleasant experience using U-Haul.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I was on the phone for 20 minutes, put on hold 3 different times. After the end of the call, I had to call the regional office for 15 more minutes to fix the incorrect reservation the lady made.
The ladies that work there know what they are doing. The one wit the long braids really knows how to run the place. I wish I got her name.

Manager is lazy and bad at customer service. I dont understand why this location says they sell propane, every time our company tries to refill propane here there is always some excuse as to why they are not refilling that day or until after lunch. Dont waste ur time at this location, bissonett and beechnut is not far away and a lot better service, friendly and willing to do there job.

Store itself was fine. The truck broke down at 11 pm on 59 on the feeder. Its now 8:03 AM, thats right, 9 hours after the incident and still no service provider. Yup. Pretty bad.
