One of the best uhaul service I ever had. Kevin took care of my reservation for cargo trailer and lighting wiring briskly and with ease. Kevin was light-hearted and knowledgeable. I would recommend come in store if you have any questions or need to check on an item (they have a great selection of lighting accessories), store associates are super helpful and easy-going. FYI-installation does take some time to get done, so schedule wisely.
Randy Callaway was absolutely rude. Wasn’t even our rep and yelled across the room at us the certain vehicle we needed was reserved.I made a reservation 2 weeks ago only to be told I had to pick up what I requested at another location 20 miles away. I settle for a smaller vehicle and arrive and have 2 of them ones I originally requested…..Centralized reservation system is a joke. Poor management. Randy Callaway at the Memorial City location is an absolute jerk.
TERRIBLE SERVICE! The person who received the truck outside was a jerk who just barked keys when I got out of the truck. The guy inside looked like hed rather be anywhere but at his job and was not a courteous individual. The truck was great but the personnel at this location is awful. Needs serious improvement.
Rented a trailer here and didnt have any issues the previous reviewers seemed to have. I did the pre-check-in online and the girl at the counter whizzed through the rest of the check in process. I reserved the wrong type of trailer and didnt realize until they had hitched it up. They were able to accommodate me and switched out for a different size with no issue. Everyone was really helpful and I wouldnt have any issues renting from this location again.

Called for a trailer rental, female worker answered on 10/14/2020 at around 10 am. She asked open or enclosed, I said enclosed trailer. I was going to explain that I had called earlier, then she rudely asked if open or enclosed trailer. I told her that I already told her enclosed trailer and not to be rude, then she hung up the phone.NEVER call or rent from u-haul especially at 10220 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77043Dont try to file complaint because will not happen!!! I recently rented a trailer for the day. I was told on the phone that it was going to cost $38 and some change. The gentleman on the phone also said that they have truck hitches to rent as well. He proceeded to ask all my info. When I show up. Hitches are for sell only. The gentleman behind the counter said to have the trailer back by 6:30pm. I did just that. Now a day later I see that I was charged $76 and some change. I call up the u-haul to discuss the problem only to be told I will get a refund cause I was charged for a xtra day. Only now it seems they like taking peoples money. Im being charged another $38 and change again. FIX IT!!

Have a good outcome with the uhall And appreciated their business .But some recommendations at least give vehicle has a good wiper to clean windshield . Never expected that . My truck was very poor windshield wiper and it was very pouring rain when we drove .

I needed to rent a small trailer to drive across the country. I have never pulled a trailer before. Branch was incredibly helpful and really took the time to make sure I got the right size for my vehicle and double checked that it was on correctly and I felt comfortable driving it. I really appreciate his help!!!
This location has a horrible so-called general manager, I believe her name is Mieka. Her attitude is horrible and obviously feels she has no worries about losing her job. UHaul needs to send in secret shoppers asap. Shes rude and disrespectful to the customers. They seem very under staff and theyre very slow.If this is a franchise, the owners better get back in to this locations asap! Im forced to give them one star, but they deserve negative. By the way the other employees seem nice and helpful. As a business owner who rents a lot from this location because of convenience, Ive decided to look elsewhere!
This store was so slow and did not seem to care about leaving customers waiting. The sales person did not know the prices to rent any of the trucks. She had to fill out the paperwork for each vehicle before she could give me a price which took forever! She was very nice but so slow and did not seem well trained. We were there for 2 hours. We saw the store manager have an argument with another customer. Then we left empty handed.

I called to reserve a truck and after speaking to a representative (I believe he was the manager) I told him my intentions, he told me he couldnt guarantee me a truck if I d9d it over the phone with him, but to do it online. I told him I understood and we went to hang up. But he didnt hang up, instead he thought he hung up and went on to talk to his coworker and said i just tell them anything top get them off the phone.Horrible customer service.
We rented a storage unit and a truck this weekend. Paul on front desk was SUPER HELPFUL to us. He made the process super simple and help me out with everything. I hope you guys get more guys like him. He made these stressful moments for me go super easy and neat. Thank you so much.

I have had so many negative experiences with this company all over Texas, I dont know why I give them another chance. (No more)I had a reservation for a pick-up and trailer. I needed the pick up because the trailer I needed was too heavy for my car. When I arrived at the location of my reservation, after waiting in line for 30 minutes, I was informed that the pick up does not have a trailer hitch to pull a trailer. Why the hell do they post a package deal if it is not available???I had arranged this with on line, chatted with an agent, AND SPOKEN TO AN AGENT.TO VERIFY THE RESERVATION.NEVER AGAIN.
This service shift is very bad, I arrive at 10 am and it is closed, the two female employees arrived at 10:17 am and tell me that there is no propane because when it rains it does not work, what problem of the company, that rare. and its a shame that whenever I go the emulated man is always available even if it rains and is cold
Call center operator was fantastic. Had all information quickly available and set up a pickup.Attendant at pick-up point hooking me up gave me no warning that the hitch/ball/receiver hookup may be a problem. There was: Unscrewing the receivers (with lever pushed down) tightener had stripped threads and it took channel-lock pliers to unscrew. Also, same problem for tightening. Not good. Lucky to have channel-lock on hand. At the one-way drop-off the attendant also had to use my channel-lock pliers. This could have been most unpleasant experience without the pliers. I cant imagine the pick-up point attendant not having any apparent problem.Drop-off attendant said he would report it and have it replaced. Someone needs to follow up to see if was done.Otherwise, all good.
Be aware. Was charged extra for a day because no one told me I have to self check in on the phone. Never again and please stay away from this location. Rude and condescending.
The truck was dirty when I picked it up. It was almost out of gas as well (which cut into my moving time). The brakes on the truck were faulty and malfunctioned sometimes. Once the truck was dropped off with ore gas in it AND clean they suddenly try to charge me for more miles than I traveled AND for cleaning the truck. Don’t waste your money here
The rental process was relatively painless an the truck we rented was in great shape. I didnt have any real issues . This is one of the better places to rent from.
For the past several years I have rented a U-haul truck the 1st weekend in March to do a show in Dallas. The manager at the time would always call the office to get me a good rate for the round trip. The new manager said that was never done. I told him to check my history, he refused. Because of time restraints I went ahead and rented anyway. I told the manager that I would need the truck 6 days and would return the truck to that location. A contract was put in front of me that I signed without reading. That was a big mistake on my part. In the past I never had a problem. The contract I signed was for a 1 day rental not 6 and at .99 cents a mile city rate instead of the lower rate for longer distances. I got a call from them asking where the truck was on day 2. When I got back I was told that I could not return the truck to the location I picked it up at. Normally in years past my bill ran about 4 to 5 hundred dollars. This experience was just shy of $800.00. When I called to question the bill I was told that I signed the contract. When I tried to explained what happened and asked them to check my rental history I was told it does not matter that I signed the contract.I did sign the contract without reading it. My mistake was trusting the manager to write what I needed and not intentionally writing a contact that screwed me royally.I do numerous festivals every year. I will never rent from u-haul again. My advice, go elsewhere. Always read the contract. U-hauls policy seems to be screw the customer whenever possible. They certainly dont expect return customers if they treat everyone like I was.
I went here and rented a truck to get some IKEA furniture home. It went smoothly. Friendly and courteous people.Granted, when i asked to get a trailer hitch installed, they wouldnt cut me a break if i got the trailer break controller and lights installed at the same time. (seems to me like they could save a lot of time doing them both together)Overall though, Ive been pleased with this place.
Can the employees at least act like they want a job and want to be there. I think I saw a button pinned on one of the employees shirts that says I’d rather be anywhere else but here right now.

I highly recommend to look the other way. I got a van from them on a Tuesday at about 2PM returned it and dropped the key in the drop box. They close at 7 on Tuesday’s so she advised me to just drop the key off in the drop box. did just that. A few days go by and I see a charge for $66 in addition to my $38 dollar charge. So of course I call. Meeka Murray (the manager) gets on the phone and advises me if it wasn’t turned in before 7, I was charged for TWO EXTRA DAYS!?!? Which makes absolutely no sense. After going back and forth she hangs up in my face. Very unprofessional. I call back and she has another lady pick the phone up so I ask for managers name to report her. She tells the young lady her name is Denise but then gets on the phone and changes her name to Meeka. Poorrr customer service at this store. I called the company customer service and was told bc I had it less than 24 hours I shouldn’t haven’t been charged anyways!!!! Please, do not go to this store. They’re clearly trying to screw people over!!

Got a hitch put on my Subaru this weekend. Very knowledgeable staff that was fun and friendly. Central location thats easy to get to so Ill be there again!
Last week I rented a uhaul truck from this place to empty an apartment in Galveston. Scheduled to have it back that afternoon. Three days later I gave them back their truck. Since some reviewers have been somewhat critical I want to give you my experience. The truck performed flawlessly. I was just overwhelmed with stuff in that apartment. Uhaul was very understanding and sympathetic. They did not charge me a penalty and did not read the riot act. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.
I rented a 4 wheel trailer for a period of 2 days, I was to return it Monday morning before 5:00 P.M. So as i was on route to return at at around 11:15 A.M. I get a call from U-Haul, I was not able to pick it up, but I called back maybe 2 minutes later only to find out I had been charged an extra 2 days!! I was shocked. Upon arrival to U-Haul I was given a refund, but for them to charge me an extra 2 days for not picking up the phone is unreal. It was not even close to being 5:00 P.M. either! Definitely will not be doing business with this U-Haul again.
Highly recommend this place. The two employees were attentive and kind. Had me in and out in a flash. The location was very convenient as well. I will do business with this Uhaul location again.
I’m givin one star as I have a major issue with this company. My name it’s Diana I when for a hitch service and to rent a trailer on July 23 as the 24 I was moving to CT. When to return the trailer on Saturday. Today Sunday I took my car to the mechanic to get oil change and to our shock when we open the front top. My electric wires cover was missing and it was a tool that they left inside next to it. He said I was very lucky as I could had crash and kill my self. This it’s more than a review it’s a advice to check your cars after any job done on any of this places.

This is just my impression of this particular employee and does not reflect how i feel about the company..... I called looking for a part (tires) for my trailer that i purchased from uhaul. the guy that picked up the phone just said.bring your trailer to make sure i am giving you the right part i told him that i had the brand and exact tire size. I also told him that i had called another location where i had bought them before but that they where sold out. he then told me oh!! if they are sold out in that location i cant sell them to you .. The guy didnt even asked me for the tire size or either bother to check... i am just surprised how people can be so careless about how they conduct business.

NOT A GOOD LOCATION... Dont buy the protection plan / insurance when renting an auto transport it does not cover your vehicle. Its been about 4 months since I but in a claim about the auto transport being improperly installed causing damage to the back of my vehicle, and nothing has been done. The service here is VERY far from EXCELLENT!

Very efficient and friendly service. The parking lot is small and can be a bit tight. But the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
Pulled up to the propane station and rang the bell. A few minutes later a girl comes out and I said hello. She said nothing back to me and grabbed some other propane tanks and started filling those. Then she sat on the guardrail with her back to me. As I walked toward the building to complain about the service I noticed she was getting on her cell phone. When I entered the store another customer told me that she was the only employee there today. Either way, poor service and I took my business else where.
Took too long to get things ready, unorganised with our reservation. But after a long wait, we finally got the trailer.

Really crummy customer service. We signed up online to pick up a van after hours. Took us 1 hour to get through the process because our online reservation kept redirecting us. Once we got through on the helpline and located our van, it was blocked behind 6 other vans bumper to bumper and no keys.They offered us no concessions.

I recently moved to Houston from Utah and I rented a trailer in Utah to bring all my stuff and I was 3 hours over my 6 days rental period wen I returned the trailer they didnt tell me anything about being late wen I dropped it off, so I got a $20 charge minutes after and I contacted the manager name Paul he told me that Ill be getting my money refunded but weeks has passed and nothing, I have tried contacting him but no reply
The only service person that was the star of the team was a gentleman named Innocent.. I work customer service all my life and I really really REALLY, appreciate that quality service...

Excellent service, I made the reservation online, went to the site and in 5 minutes they delivered the unit.When returning the unit I only returned it to the office and it was registered by an employee after I left and received the final invoice by email. Everything in order, highly recommended.
