The GameStop location here in Huntersville is not a bad one, they often have all the newest games in stock and the employees are very helpful, and knowledgeable about many kinds of games. They do seem to be a bit understaffed however.GameStop as a whole however, is not a corporation or company that deserves four stars in a review, and I say this because they force various, very toxic policies, upon their employees. They force them to shill out new games, and ask you for preorders and plenty of other products you may not even want. They also have almost impossibly high quotas forced upon the employees (a certain number of preorders sold, used games sold, etc, per week). And on top of this, they will buy used games/electronics from you, but at insanely low prices, only in order to turn them right around and sell them back to other people for prices almost as much as the game when it was brand new.These reasons, combined with inconsistent sales and high prices, almost always makes buying or selling games online/digitally or through a small business more convenient than at GameStop. It should still be said that the employees here are good at their job and hardworking nonetheless.

If they dont get a pre order in and you dont want to wait anymore for it they steal your money and only offer refunds in the form of gift cards

Stopped in to find a game system and Emily was super helpful with what I needed.

They gave away a pre-order I had placed a few months ago. Very defensive about it. Dont care about the game, its the principle. So screw the franchise.

Nice employees, but the store does not have any stock. It’s a pickup location for online orders. That’s it....

I review this store a 1 star because they sold me the wrong game and they wouldn’t give me a refund or an exchange I asked for store credit but they wouldn’t do it 1 STAR

Not much selection, looked at some used games and was able to get the same game new off Amazon for less. Service was good but prices and selection are aweful. Check Amazon!

I really like this store. The sales clerks are really knowledge and professional with their customers. They can recommend the right things. They have used games for sale which are affordable. They also sell new items for about the stores price but I trust their store better than others. Also sell hats and some apparel electronics like Amazon fire stick. They were so helpful with me and my purchase.

Best GameStop Ive been to. Reminiscent of the individually owned game shops that were around in the past. Where the employees cared. Dont feel like youre in line at McDonalds here just being pushed through which is amazing being it was a week and a half before Christmas. Kudos to your store guys.

All the employees in the store are so helpful and always friendly. Kellie helped us today and shes helped us a lot when were here, and she has a wonderful personality and is always very helpful and answers any questions we have. This is my favorite Game Stop to go to.

This is my local GameStop. The people that work here are simply amazing. They are there to help you and always work with you to make sure you are happy.the store manager Chico is a great person and you can tell he loves what he does.

One of the better stores in the area. The prices on games arent as competitive as that of video game world but the two definitely capilize in the demographic of their customers (meaning the difference between used games can be upwards of $30 between both stores)

Got open box items used for display marked at same price as brand new. At every other store Ive ever dealt with, that is open/box used and gets you a discount...especially on a collectible. ..not at gamestop though. I guess they make their own rules. Literally, corporate says its up to the store to disclose that and give a discount, store says its up to corporate. Guess its Best Buy and Amazon from now on. Shady even for gamestop.

I am a bit of an older man, so I am not up to date with the latest games, but what I saw I liked. They have games, consoles, characters clothes etc.

Very disappointed as a Gamestop customer. I preordered the Spider-Man PS4 Pro on the 24th of July and only paid what was needed at the time. I went into the store today excited for my new system only to find out that they had sold it. I then I asked why would you do that if I put a deposit on the item when I preordered it. We then said that their policy stated that they didnt have to hold the item. But he would call the other Gamestops to see if that they had preorders of the spiderman ps4 pro system in stock that havent picked up yet and the stores started that they did but were holding them for there customers who pre-ordered them. Which left me confused because he just informed me that he gave my system away because of some policy that was never explained to me on day one. I just want my system. This has to be illegal right.

Staff is ok, some will help you out but others will blow you off or judge you for what games you buy if its not their choice. One of the better game stops in the area however.

So the day before I went into the store I made about 3-4 calls to this GameStop which no one ever answered. I went in to see if they had a preowned Pokemon Ultra Sun or Moon game because another location had told me they had It in preowned. So I ended up going there to get it to find out they didnt have any preowned copies and if they did it would only be $2 cheaper than new! Also there were 3 people working there and only one working a register while the other 2 stood around while they had a line of about 10-12 people and when we told her we had tried calling so many times the day before she just said yea sometimes we get too swamped to answer phones. I have never had any issues with my local gamestop even answering to politely put me on hold when they are busy.

Buyer Beware -If you are focused on Refurbished be sure to test it in store before ever leaving. And if that involves only powering it up, it will save you a few trips. Refurbished is a loose term, and really involves them boxing it up and cataloging it in the network.We purchased a Xbox 360 for nostalgic reasons, and brought it home and it stunk of nicotine. It powered up, and went to Red Ring in 20mins.Took it back and got another Promise you I tested it right after we hung up was the line I got. We drove home again - TOTAL FAILURE.So on the third visit, we hooked up, and played it for 30mins...The staff was really accommodating, but the fact that I invested 2.5hrs driving to and fro to make a simple purchase is deflating.Great selection of games and accessories

I purchased a RockBand kit for my Xbox one here. Everything worked but the drum kit. I attempted to reach out to the warranty people (third party) for about a week but was unable to get ahold of anyone. I called the store and worked with the manager Chico. A+ customer service!! Chico let me bring in my drum set and replaced it with a brand new one.

They dont check used systems !!looked online found a used 80g ps3 at this location for my kids xmas gift drove down picked it up on 11/22 on xmas day she opens it up we plug it in, in 5 min the game starts skipping so we put a brand new game in same thing with in a 1/2 hour of game play the system was dead. The remote never held a charge still does not . And of course it was past its 30 day warranty. I now have a nice 80 dollar paper weight. Ended up buying a used one off of craigslist xmas day for a pretty penny.

I came here today to get a new headset, and i got an employee to help me pick one out. I saw a triton headset that was pretty nice and this employee was telling me how everyone loves that headset and that its universal and will fit anything (i play xboxone). On the front of the box it said xbox360 ps3 and pc/mac and i pointed out the fact that it did NOT say xbox one, yet he still sold it to me? Honestly im pretty pist at myself for believing him. I should have know better than to buy it, considering how specific the box is about what it fits. But then again, thats what you work there for. Dont help somebody with something if you have no idea what you are talking about. Now its past 9, and im sitting here with an 80$ paper weight that i cant take back until tomorrow.

I was so disrespected because of the color of my skin and that I didnt speak Spanish to the clerk I am native American Indian.There is no excuse when you have a person enter your store to start talking Spanish and then disrespect him because Latinos walk inI will never recommend this store to any Americans to be disrespected
