This store and its manager are a JOKE. I just had my brakes on my truck done in June at another store. After bringing my vehicle in last week, I was informed during an oil change my brakes needed to be replaced. They have no idea how to inspect a vehicle. The one good mechanic they had they fired apparently. Disgraceful. A terrible experience.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They did quick, professional work and had me out the door and no time. I highly recommend this location.

If I could give -0 as a rating, I would. I carried my car to get an oil change 01/2020. I had no leaks no dash lights and no indication of any problems. On the day I left my car started leaking oil and progressively got worse. I called to let the manager know the problem I was having with an oil leak and carried it back 05/2020. He tells me the oil cover casket is bad and I had a couple valves leaking and a couple other issues, none of which I had before going to them. I asked if he could give an estimate on repairs, I wanted to see what problems he would put on paper, he refused. I have a Mercedes ML 350, bottomline what I got is they couldnt work on Mercedes but thought they could change the oil but didnt have the equipment. That is a new owner. Ive gone there for several years to get an oil change with no problems at all with the mechanic that was there before now. Be Ware

These guys are awesome! I have a Chevy Express with a ton of miles that required brakes badly and a steering box and these guys did an exceptional job. They were honest and clear of what needed to be done and at a good price. Will come back. Its hard to find good shops like this one.

Advertise $89.99 brakes. My quote was 135 just for 2 front ceramic pads.Bought pads at Auto Zone for $35PLUS ....in very small print they want $39.99 for inspection. That I refused to pay.Budget, Firestone, everyone else inspects for FREE

BEWARE!!!!!! Brought truck in to change brakes. Immediately after, water pump seemed to be leaking. We brought it to another business who looked and said ALL THE BOLTS were LOOSENED on the water pump, and said it looked like someone had recently been under there. Not accusing anyone- but this looks BAD for this business, like they were setting up another large repair. We will never be back. Hopefully what I suspect is not the case, but sure makes you wonder how many people are getting ripped off. ALWAYS get a second opinion.

I would have rated Zero stars if it were an option. I can not imagine a company sucking more than this one. This company came by my office offering a promotion of 4 oil changes with tire rotations for $30. I bought the deal and made an appointment for the same afternoon. I took the car in and left it with them and went back to the office. They called and said the rear brakes needed cleaning and adjusting. I am a technician and do my own maintenance so I knew they were trying to run a scam with this offer, so I declined the service. I picked up the car and proceeded to inspect the oil change. The oil on the dip stick was dirty, the filter had been changed but the filter they installed looked old and used. The drain plug and surrounding area was dry and dusty. They had pretended to change the oil, I didnt think to mark the tires so I dont know if they rotated the tires or not. The service manager said he didnt know who did the oil change, but he was the only worker in the shop other than the secretary, he offered an extra fake oil change to make up for the failed service DO NOT LET THESE LIARS AND CHEATS SERVICE YOUR CAR!

Craig and team did a good job replacing my brakes, but as soon as I picked up the truck (06 Colorado), the ABS Fault light came on. I took the truck back 4 times, and the problem was never resolved ... ended up spending way too much time trying to get this error fixed and I guess Ill have to take it elsewhere and pay to have their error repaired. Safe to say I will not be returning to Brakes For Less. I recommend finding a different shop.

Worked at this shop for 3 weeks with no pay.Traveling from cullman to this location everyday.First few days there I was the only one there in the shop. Then the shop foreman kept wanting me to do oil changes and not change filters or just tell customer that i rotated there wheels.So I packed my tools up and left. And I accidentally left my snapon impact and they told me I couldnt have it that I loaded up my toolbox with out then looking at it. Went out the next day to talk to (matt) and he come out walking up on me with I guess 2 new guys that started overnight and threatened to call the cops on me because I wouldnt leave because I wanted my $800 1/2 impact. I had to call my snapon man and get him to call this place and tell them that they are stealing because that is my property and that I am still paying on it.

Car wouldnt start. Within 15 mins they determined it needed a new fuel pump for $700. Had battery replaced, car started fine. Tried to perform a service not needed. Will never go back.

Never met a nicer mechanic (Craig, I think was his name). Very honest and upfront, he could have advised me to sink more money into my wreck of a car, thus profiting from the work done, but instead gave me his professional opinion not to. I will never go anywhere else with my business, and will definitely suggest him to anyone looking for work done on their vehicle.

This place is awesome!!! Craig really helped us out. We have been moving and pulling a trailer with no brakes on it so it was absolutely ruining our trucks brakes.. we were scrubbing horribly. Craig knew exactly what we needed when we pulled in. He had us up on the lift and checking it out in 15 mins. He gave us a reasonable deal to replace 2 rotors, 1 caliper, and all the brake pads. Once they got started something else needed to be replaced but could be salvaged... so guess what? CRAIG SALVAGED IT. what a guy. And we got an oil change for under $500. Thank goodness for the guys at Brakes for Less. They saved our butts. Now we can move... safely. We also have a couple of other things to have done and he can do them.. so we will not be going any where else. And oil changes too? YES!!! Brakes for Less for life!!! Thanks to Craig and Jess... and all the other guys there.

Took the work truck there last year to do rotors and breaks, they give a one year warranty,what do you know after that year my rotors need replacement.rotors dont need to be replaced every year.The manager said they use Chinese parts, that was the best answer I got

I sent my daughter to this location to have her brakes checked. I knew that she was going to need pads on the back (she has disk brakes all around) and maybe a rotor or two replaced. The technician took a flashlight and shined it between the tire rim at her rotors (thats it nothing else) and told her she needed pads, rotors, and calibers replaced. Oh and it had to be done immediately. Said if she couldnt the car needed to be parked and not drove because it was a safety hazard. REALLY!!!! I have been doing this myself or having my husband do it for over 20 years. I knew the pads were close to the end of their life, I knew at least one rotor had grooves and needed to be turned or replaced (maybe more). I know because my husband PULLED THE TIRES AND LOOKED!! The calibers are located behind the rotors how can you tell they are bad if you dont look at them. Her car has just began to make a small amount of noise every now and then, but brakes are not something you wait until its a huge problem. Seriously at least try to make it look like you are not taking advantage of a young girl before you try to ripe someone off. I only sent her their because of a recommendation from a friend. We have sent her to our normal mechanic and what to you know -- she needs pads & they are going to try and turn the two back rotors but they may have to be replaced.

Ive used these guys for several repairs, for both personal vehicles, and business. They have competitive prices, and they do the job well. They also dont seem to upsell stuff that you dont need.

Beware they tell you your car needs work it does not its a crime and they should be stoped i went in to have breaks checked before vacation they said i needed hub bearings showed me how my tire wobbled when they called me out to look at it i told them put my tires on and put my car down took it to firestone to have it checked out they said the hub bearings where fine and someone had loosened the nuts they said if they where bad i would have heard noises DONT GO TO BREAKS FOR LESS THERE CROOKS question all good reviews they stay on the computer probably makeing fake reviews check for complaints with the bbb

Honestly they have had my car for two months to put a heater core in before they put the heater core in I asked him is he sure thats the problem I was told yes after a month they told me my car was ready I literally drove my car about two blocks and it ran hot again so I took it back a month ago so they can fix it right and they still have car now plus I have already paid........ I wouldnt refer anybody to them sorry......Now all of a sudden I gets a call saying I have a blown head gasket........

It was my first time coming here I needed my brakes done he talked to me they were very welcoming and nice I really appreciate the good work they did and the hospitality they showed I will be coming back this is the best place I have been to since I been in Huntsville

It took me an hour at this place. They did have the oil filter I needed had to order it then got the wrong oil filter the first time and had to order another filter. Avoid this place. Dont waste your money or time.

My wife and I took our car over there for a brake inspection because it was making the noise that it was time to change the brakes....so we went they started taking the tires off the car, and they said that the car could not be driven unless we change the brakes and rotors right now! we said to only install pads and thats it, but they proceeded to take the back tires off and messed up the bolts crooked them by force messed up the drum brakes and finally the car ended up making a more high pitch noise that it wasnt there to beging with, I do not trust them never ever ever am extremely sirious about the following : DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE, if you dont care about your car health then God Bless You.

I took my car to them for a oil change, and they did change the oil but not the filter, and I watched them not change the filter and told them they didnt, and they told me yes they did, the manager said he looked and it was changed. I left and when to a different oil change place, and it was not changed. This is how they make big money, not putting the oil filters in cars.

I brought my car here to get my brakes and rotors replaced before selling my older car, it had a loud squeaking sound everytime i came to a stop. I paid roughly 500 plus but im convinced they installed some old machined rotors, (thats when they shave down an old rotor). and i literally saw the guy spray the anti squeak spray on my brake pads, I know about that spray bc ive used it plenty of times before. ITS a temporary fix.needless to say, a week later it was back to squeaking. I am more than pissed, paid another 600 to get it done at the dealership! i felt like i was conned but i cant prove anything

University Dr location is a rip off! I went in to have my brake pads replaced (which were under warranty). After being there over an hour not only was my brake pads not replaced they tried to charge me an additional $275 to replace 1 rotor.

Hard work by the mechanics, but took them three hours plus to get the drivers side axle out, slamming it with a huge hammer, then heating it with a welders rig. Put the new axle in, it doesnt fit, parts store sent one for 6 speed not 5 speed. Finally got it in, hustling to get everything back together. On way home, though the car would shake apart. Took it back. First line is problem is tire separating. Turns out they didnt have the wheel mounted properly. Never use this shop.

If these guys are busy, be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes for basic oil change even with a preset appointment. Had I known it wouldve taken as long, I wouldve gone to a Midas and paid more.

They cause more damage to your car, they overcharge,and they tell you your car needs certain parts when it doesnt, They tell you they order parts and it takes so many days for it to come in, but they get the parts from advance or autozone..Not a good place to get repairs..

Went to get brakes fixed get the car back its still messed up this is going on six weeks still no car paid over 1300 hundred still have no car to this day!!!
