My experience here was pretty good until I tried to ask a question ad one of your employees who has braids ignored me while I was asking her a question. I think that is very rude. That type of behavior is not expectable at all.

This use to be the main place I would go to for hair products, but not anymore. The customer service just sucks & I refuse to spend my money anywhere I do not feel welcome. The owners have ZERO people skills. The only one there who is friendly is the African lady. So I started going to Beauty Depot instead which is right down the street from them & my experience there was 100 times better. And I also noticed that the quality & selection of hair, wigs, & lace fronts at Beauty Depot were way better as well.

These beauty supply stores are becoming Hair Supermarkets. There are well stocked and have shopping carts like the grocery stores.

Big Supermarket for hair. Service sucks. You walk around, no one offer a hand cart. But have attendance at cashiers, talking about lunch. Customers asking each other, do you know where edge control located..😥 sad.

Buy at this store every week and they turned me away even tho they see I bought the product there. I will just go to beauty depot and give them the $300 I planned to spend there. Warning do not buy here

I purchased a wig on 6/9, the one I wanted they did not have in the color I wanted. So, I settled for another one and they only had the one on display in the color I wanted. The person lazily helping me said that I could have 10% off the display one. So, today I took it out of the plastic package and I started to shampoo it. Only to see lice in the wig. I ended up throwing it away and clipping off my natural nails. I remember when I was in cosmetology school a client with head lice was put in my chair and I had to disinfect my station, throw away all my combs, brush and anything else they might have hopped onto, even though I had not even touched the client. I had to clip off my nails, throw away my uniform and take a ho bath in the restroom. I shampooed my hair with lice shampoo and use that metal comb looking for lice and nits even though it was up in a bun and I had not touched my hair. So, this time I didnt have any lice shampoo and I had just shampooed it yesterday before I opened the package. I did however clip my natural nails and shower looking for any lice and nits in the suds. Im happy I always shampoo any wigs, clip on ponytails before I put it on my head. Years ago I saw something that showed somewhere in the middle east a market or flea market, where a lady that didnt look clean and neither did the person cutting her hair. There was a basket that the hair was dropped into, while a donkey passed by like it was shopping. Then they showed the basket going to a dark dingy building crowded with people on the floor combing the hair and putting them into packages. Then you saw the packs of hair on a wagon being pulled by a donkey. Then you see a truck in NYC unloading the packs of hair to a hair store and black women buying up the hair, like they were looking for a golden ticket at Willie Wonkas chocolate factory. The moral of me telling you this, is to make sure you inspect and shampoo all hair you get from a hair store, online. Make sure your hair stylist is taking the comb and brush they use on your hair from a clean jar of Barbicide. If their jar is cloudy and dirty or they just pick up a comb or brush from their station, its more than likely they did not disinfect between clients. You can choose to just leave or insist they clean their jar and disinfect before touching your hair. If they refuse go somewhere else, because if they dont respect you, then they dont respect your hard earned money.

The attendants and service clerks are hospitable and pleasant however, the owners are horrible business owners and are extremely rude. They should have a 101 training session in customer service skills dispute resolution. They’re behavior showcases that they are oblivious to the fact that it is the consumers keep them in business. Policy is policy and that is understood but walking off, rudeness, and dismissive behavior is unacceptable in my opinion if you are a business owner small or large. Your hard earned money should go else where in the community. This establishment does not deserve your money and overall support.

Huge hair store with very reasonable prices. The cashier was eating while cashing us out and she had sauce all over her fingers while doing so. VERY unprofessional! She couldnt even properly ring us up because she was trying not to touch anything. One of the other cashiers had to come over and bag our items for her. This was my first visit to this store but I can say I will go back because of the reasonable prices and selection but my checkout experience could have been better.

Primarily serves people looking for wigs and hairpieces, but I found fantastic costume jewelry for extremely low prices... earrings, bracelets, necklaces and especially rings can be mistaken for the real expensive stuff for a short time. It will lose its sparkle if you use cream or other cosmetics exposing the jewelry to the chemicals... But its worth it.

Clean and organized. Dont feel like a valued customer. Have spent a couple of hundreds there. Don, the owner has a nonshalant demeanor. He roughly opens the hair packages simply disturbs the appearance of the hair visible quality. Does not appear want to be asked questions. The clerks were very pleasant.

Very rude customer service and owner is very rude.One of the girls working the floor kept repeating to me over and over that you are only allowed to try on 3 wigs per cap then you must perchase another cap.I tried one wig on and she repeated herself and then again after I tried the second wig and after the third one!! I have been a customer there for 6 years and explained to her as a loyal customer for 6 years I am aware of the rules and it wasnt necessary to keep repeating herself.She said she was going to continue repeating herself to upset me!!I asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation to him .He was very rude and didnt bother him how I was being treated . I will never purchase another item in that store again. I will tell everyone i know what a terrible shopping experience it was and to shop some place else where the customers are respected and appreciated.

Just ask the owner he is always willing to help, when you cannot find a itemStaff just tell you go and look. Need to pay attention to the owner thats how business is done

I have dreadlocks so I dont really have to go to the beauty supply store for no more than lashes glue lipstick stuff like that but its very clean and organized the reason why I get four stars is because I love the fact that they have put more people working there but dont follow me around the store and stop putting all those gray stickers on your stuff because I was sick to the register and peel them all off just so when I leave I dont have to hear that noise when Im walking out the door.

If I could give it no stars I would...this place has horrible customer service and management..I took my mother here to find her a wig it was priced one way on the display and it rang up for a different price at the register you would think they would honor what was listed..Nope they were very argumentative and refused to admit it was priced incorrectly and the sad part it was only about a 3 dollar difference...which shows you its not about the customers its the money..I had almost 150.00 of merchandise on the counter I left it right there and walked out because I didnt want to act an ass in front of my mom. Never again I would rather drive out of my way instead of supporting this store

They have a lot of variety, but some of their natural hair products are more expensive then their competitors. Some of the staff members are nice and helpful, but the cashiers and owners can be a little rude or act as if they have better things to do. I only go here for their ecostyler, everything else I can get cheaper at target.

Worst beauty supply in Jax. The young ladies were nice but management sucks. Their overpriced you can get same PRODUCTS on Amazon way cheaper. This place will not be getting anymore of my money ever again!!!!! I had family come in from out of state and my Aunt wanted to purchase a wig piece. The little GIRL that worked on the floor was very rude and not friendly at all!!!! She tossed the wig on the counter for my aunt to try on herself. Her attitude was very unprofessional and just plain rude. Now instead of me going at her and cursing her out, I decided to take the MATURE GROWN WOMAN route and decided not to spend any more of my hard earned money at this poorly ran establishment!!!! My niece lost her cellphone in this store and I am sure the stores have cameras they can pull to view the security tapes, but they were very rude with not helpful with that as well. Which lets me know either one of their employees took the phone, or they just dont care, or both!!!! Either way, I will not step foot into this place again. The only reason I gave it one star was because the settings would not let me select 0 stars!!!!! Coco Beauty Supply sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be giving my money to my own Afircan American ran establishments from now on!!!!!

I usually like to go to Cocos rather than beauty depot because the staff is a whole lot nicer. They always have sales going on, on certain types of extensions. Their hair products are sometimes alittle to over priced but they do have a very wide selection of different product lines. As with most beauty supply stores, the return policy sucks.

I walked into the store today and purchased a $10.00wig. When I arrived home it was a half wig so I went back to the store and asked for exchange . She being the Assistant Manager was very rude and said there is no exchange and no refund on wigs but there is no sign in the back . However she stayed there is a sign at the register where you cant see it and the register receipt has it . So I asked for a manger and she called he is in the hospital . So she throw my wig back in the bag and throw it to me and continued to support no exchange . So I called the police and they talked to her and said go on Facebook and tell my experience and report them to BBB. I want to people know this business they do not help you and you can never find someone when you do need help . I would suggest to keep your money and spend it somewhere else is here you would be much happier

I was looking for a ponytail hairpiece for my daughter so i could make a bun for her dance recital. I told the lady exactly what i was looking for amd what it needed to be used for. The hairpiece she sold me could not be fashioned into a bun.. my 3 year old loved her long ponytail but it was completely useless for what i needed it for.

Bought a wig that was over $150 that suppose to have a wave pattern . I washed it before use I see no wave pattern . I let it air dry still no wave pattern . This the second time Ive bought hair from u all and it was bogus. Never again

I cant tell you much about the Whigs cuz I dont wear them or their hair weave but I know they have a lot of it in there I would say just go in there or call them and tell them what you need and theyll be more than happy to answer your question costume jewelry they have some I will say go to JCPenneys for your costume jewelry or somewhere like Walmart where you can just get it cheap happy making up

Poor customer service and management. I would not recommend my worst enemy to purchase here. I would not want my worst enemy to spend a dime here. The store manager is a jerk. They do not care about customer concerns, they only want your money. Once they take your heart earned money they do not care about any concerns you may have after the purchase. When I went there it was my first and last time going there. Go anywhere but Coco. They are overpriced also. Overpriced and horrible customer service.

I’ve been in once before because it’s close to work. But I tell you what, the younger black girl at the counter (brown & tan braids in case management actually reads this) needs a new job! She was so rude and short with me. If you don’t carry a product how about pick your head up out your phone and try to sell me a substitution. Luckily the products in these hair stores sell themselves because the customer service is AWFUL. The woman beside her is probably the manager and didn’t even flinch when the young lady cut me off mid question. Will not be returning and will advise my coworkers to stay away as well.

Also, theyre not that hard up on money, my total came to $20.05 and he just accepted my twenty and let it slide. I bought 6 lipsticks at the shop the other day and ALL OF THEM were advertised as long lasting or 24 hour or 8 hour last. I went home, tried all of them, only 2 were a stay-on. I took the other 4 back the next day, and of course the owner said, they wont take it back and lied that they dont advertise it this way, the manufacturer does!!!! Thats a big bull, because the manufacturer do not set up the shop!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. The employee on the floor was very sweet and asked me 2x if I needed help, but the one 20-ish cashier was rude and rolling her eyes when I stated my problem with the merchandise. Then she walked away and the owner came over and was unhelpful and a liar. I will never go back to that place EVER AGAIN. This is not the first time I was treated rudely in their store, I didnt report them yet, but that was the last straw.
