Theyre accepting new patients with no wait time which is great. My office along with a few others were fully booked and I needed to be seen now. Very pleasant and professional atmosphere and quick service which is even better!! Great prices as well. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

(The Optomap Retinal Exam is a non-dilating camera that captures a digital image of the retina. The Optomap allows the doctor to capture a 200° high-resolution image of the retina in a single shot-- without dilation -- in a quarter of a second.)And Sandy, oh Sandy, what a treasure it was to have her help facilitate the fitting of my new #transition #contacts (not only do they get darker in the sunlight, they also help me with both near and far sightedness - holy cow how cool is that?!) but she also took the time to listen to my needs, wishes, and preferences.This is my #ThankfulThursday 🤓

I have been a loyal customer for many years, I recommended my husband, my son, my sister and friends. At this time I have to say that my son stop using this optometrist because they are too expensive. My husband will get the eye exam and get glasses online. None of my friends go there any more because of rude customer service. My sister a senior has complained to me that they have made errors on her prescription and forced her to take the glasses and told her to get used to it. God forbid you ask a question! All this upset me. I have experienced my own disappointments the last two times I have gone. I noticed as staff continues to change, common courtesy and customer service training has disappeared. My experience today was like a cold shoulder after spending $400. They got their money and when I asked for a cloth to clean my glasses she told me I could pay for it. First time and the last! I like the Optometrist but unfortunately will not recommend this place and I will not return for more service.

My son and I both an appointment at 11:30. When we arrived they said they only had time to see him. They rushed us through the glasses picking part a dnd he is a shy boy so Im not positive he really got ones he liked. I played out of pocket a d my bill was close to 400.00. I think will do my exam somewhere else. I have had a long history with your office and Im very dissapointed

I walked in for my appointment today I was looking at their frames as I waited. I was looking at them alone no issues. Well a African American woman came in and the snobby girl at the front told her she has to wait to look at the frames for someone to be with her. I am so mad to know that rasict are still doing this. That poor young lady cried dont go here

I would definitely recommend!!2/28/2020 i had an appointment yesterday and was in and out quickly. Everyone was super nice and it was clean. They got me a pair of trial contacts, some solution and a contacts case. Sandy was the person who helped me and God bless this lady because she is sooo sweet. I’ll definitely be back
I have been going to VALU VISION for approximately five years. Unfortunately, sometime in August I ran out of my contacts and called to order new ones. After speaking with the representative she informed me that she would order my Contacts. As per trials they will need to order them and she will call me so I’m able to stop by the office to pick them up. Here’s where everything goes downhill. I never got a callback to pick up my contacts or my trials I had about three weeks left of contacts, so I kind a let it go for about a month. I called a month later and after speaking with the supervisor I was told that they would order them again and to stop by and pick up my trials which were from another office because they did not have them there.When I went in to pick them up nobody could find my Trial contacts. Unfortunately, after waiting for 15 to 20 minutes I was told they could not find them and went home empty-handed. With the expectation that I should get them that afternoon if not the next day. Again, I waited about a week called back just to make sure that they were ready. And much to my dismay they tell me I’m no eligible for trail contacts and that there is no order for my contacts and never has been. therefore, they are not able to either give me contacts or trials and I am left with nothing after dealing with them approximately a month and a half to two. I asked to speak to a manager and whoever the rude “supervisor” was, she stated that’s as far as I could get. Oh, also, that she was not able to do anything for me if I didn’t go to get my exam redone.I’ve always known that they are on the expensive side considering I have to pay out-of-pocket since I have no insurance. But, the doctor is very professional and very thorough.Not only did I go, I took my family as well. But, they have officially lost this customer and the family. I refuse to go there with the staff they currently have. I feel that all they want is to fluff you up with more upgrades and more money.I know losing four customers from this family is no big deal and we probably were just numbers to them, but, if I can spare anyone else from going there and getting ripped off and treated like garbage it’s is all worth it.I am to old to to know when I’m not being a valued customer.
Was able to walk in, they carried my insurance which is rare, and got 2 pairs of glasses. I love the workers and will be bringing my daughter back for her exam.
This was a great first visit with VAL-U-vision! I was a walk-in and surprising I did not have to wait very long to be seen for an eye exam. The entire staff that I encountered during my visit were friendly and resourceful.
The receptionist or whatever role Isabella plays in the organization is horrible. She is rude and provides disgraceful customer service. I have been a loyal customer for years until now . I even called for a supervisor and Isabella was trying to screen the call and of course no supervisor called me back. I asked for an appointment for a Friday or Saturday and her response is were all booked. For every Friday and Saturday for the rest of the year? Terrible

I was charged an $85 fee with no explanation other than I hadn’t been there since 2016. The consultant for my contacts was very close to rude and indifferent to my questioning of the fee
Unbelievably grateful to you all today!! My eye doctor of over 10 years couldnt fit me in for a week!! Even though I was completely blind and only had 13 year old glasses taped together looking like the had been run over to see with. I was told, looks like youre in a pickle I walked out and called Val-uVision explained my situation and before I could finish she said come on in. They had me in and out with contacts ordered in enough time for to make it to work (except Id been crying earlier and had to go home an freshen up first). Thank you for your amazing service and putting up with a cry baby like me.

I was told to make an appointment for a contact fitting. I get here and the contacts have not been ordered and she has me try on ones they have in stock. What the purpose of the appointment, we could’ve did this last week when I was here. I’ve now been sitting here for 30 minutes with these contacts in my eyes waiting on a doctor to check. So once again, what’s the purpose of the appointment? I would hope anybody would get better service but certainly someone who just spent over $600.00 cash!!
I payed more money for glasses here they dont fit properly keep sliding down my nose. I will go back tomorrow and ask for a refund,take my business elsewhere.
I have been coming to this location since I moved to Jacksonville in 2012. The service has always been great. Sandy assisted me on picking out glasses on my last visit and she was very pleasant. She had patience and made sure everything in regards to the glasses I picked and my insurance plan were thoroughly explained. Thank you for your great customer service!
As a walk in I waited under 10 minutes. The staff was helpful and pricing great. Exam, frames and bifocal lenses under 100.00. Where else can you get that type of service in Jacksonville?
BEWARE ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!!I had been a Val-Uvision customer for about 4 years, but after the repeated mistakes I am finally done with this place. First they diagnosed my daughter with a very very big prescription that turns out she didnt even need glasses. I went to get reading glasses and they messed up the prescription which I took them back and they said they would fix. Long story short that was 2 weeks ago and I still have no glasses. I finally decided I had wasted enough of my time (which I have had to sit in the waiting room at this place many times when I didnt need to) and go somewhere else. I told them to just refund my money and the lady said you signed a piece of paper that says all sales are final. I was like look you havent given me wearable glasses so its not final! Buyer beware this place is the pits!
I visited Val Uvision on 10/4/2019.The service was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable of their work. My office visits was quick and I was in and out within 45 minutes allowing me to complete my daily functions without any delays. I want to give a special thanks to Kelly Birchfield she help me with getting the correct pair of contacts that would be proper for my eyes and she also advised me the proper way to use and store them. The overall customer service was excellent.

Went in to take a look at any new pairs that may have been available since the last time that I had gotten glasses (I have spent hundreds of dollars during previous years) and I decide to go in a take a look and compare them to the new competitor across the street (vision today). I Walk in and am seated for over 45 min. Keep in mind I am only there to LOOK at any new paira and brands that are available. Not only was I not assisted but what really bothers me is the fact that there are people who were standing around not doing anything and there I was assuming that I am giving them my business once again. But NO. I never had the opportunity to look nor have anyone assist me considering how long I have been there. So i asked for my prescription and decided to take my business elsewhere. This place has no orgaization, time appreciate or any sort of experience in showcasing the meaning of customer service and customer loyalty. I will make sure that I spread the word. I hope this plans is either bought out by someone else or they get rid of their staff COMPLETELY.
My parents and I got off to a rough start today and time wasn’t on our side. My father works out of town so we have to find time to make sure he has the things he needs for work. We arrived at the store at 7:45pm. The initial encounter with the young lady who helped us was very pleasant but halfway through the eyeglass fitting for my father; the manager Janet comes from the back area raising her voice stating that we need to go ahead and finish up because she had to lock the door. We were not able to complete the transaction and Janets tone of voice was loud and my mother stated to me she lost her train of thought Janets body language was extremely distasteful and unwelcoming as well as her words of while we were trying to finish up our night of shopping. Sad case for a customer service worker.
It seems this place is gone downhill I have been a patient for 18 years at this particular location. I love the doctors. However their customer service technicians or frame techs have gone downhill in quality of service. I have been in there twice with two different pairs of glasses that they have broken or messed up. The first time I took it upon myself to say I understand I signed the frame release and was OK with what they proved me for the trouble. The second time I said no I need a refund on the lens at least. Just for the the fact that I do not have frames for the lenses so why am I paying for the lenses for a frame that your employee broke. The girl got up and walked away from me and just said I’ll have my manager call you. After all that they didn’t not give me my frames that were damaged. So I walked out with nothing. I am so disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. Shame that the technicians push people away from good MDs.
I had my eye exam last November 2018 and when I called to get my contact lens prescription the girl told me it was invalid as I had not returned for a follow up visit within one week. She also told me I had to do the eye exam all over again as my prescription may have changed. My insurance company allows one eye exam per year and not the calendar year. My contact lens RX hasnt changed in 2 years. She said that was the only way for me to get my contact lens RX. I cant afford to pay for a whole new eye exam as my husband was laid off in January and I am supporting a family of four on a teacher salary. I told her if that was all they could do, Id find a new vision care place. She said OK.. have a great day and seemed like she could care less. Although the doctor was nice on my first visit, the other staff were not very professional and gave me the wrong contact lens which I noticed immediately as I wear bifocal contact lens. They gave me my glasses RX when I left but would not give me the contact lens RX. What happened today leaves me thinking this place just wants your money and doesnt care about the customer..

The staff was friendly and courteous. I didnt have to wait too long for my appt. But the wait is with every medical office. Very clean and presentable office. Its very convenient because all your needs are in the same store. I was not pressured to buy expensive glasses, and I liked the fact that they do not hover..they walk away and give you time to pick your own, then you find them. Wait time on glasses was 2 weeks. And I didnt pay more than expected. Took my husband here, then a month later I came here. Will do again.
Its been almost 2 months and my daughter still dont get her glasses. Its very disappointing that every time I call they keep telling that theres a problem with the lab, that they havent pass inspection, another day they said that its the insurance. Always someone else to blame. It bothers me that they dont take responsibility. Its not the first time we get our glasses there but is the first with this awful situation. They told me that theyre gonna call me back with answers and never do so. I gotta keep calling almost every day to be put on hold so they can invent something else to tell me. Now I gotta go thru the insurance which is one the best in the nation and try to rewind all the big mess Value Vision did so we can go somewhere else and get the glasses my daughter need (the ones shes currently using are broken by the way just my luck). Im not going there anymore, if only I could give them zero stars that would be great! If you dont want to risk having this kind of issue stay away from this place..
Was excited to finally be able to afford prescription sunglasses. The two sales associates were arguing as to who should get the commission of my purchase. I was then assisted after they settled their dispute, and then I was allowed to order my shades. They came in, and when I picked them up I was given the wrong type of case. The snugness of the case caused the sunglasses to break by putting too much tension on them. Its been more than 10 days now and still no sunglasses. This place is the pits. This will be my last purchase from Valuvision.
I have been a customer for 12 years at this location and have watched the customer service decline in the past several years. They have totally changed their staff and the new staff are not near as knowledgeable or friendly . I recently made an appointment and asked for a trial pair to get me to the appointment. They refused because my prescription had expired . It would have been very easy for the doctor on duty to review my file and extend the prescription to allow me to get to my appointment. There are just too many Vision Centers around now to treat a long term customer this way so I have taken my business elsewhere . I would not recommend this facility to anyone !!

The service was ok. When I went in I did tell them that I had progressive lenses but they forgot to tell the Doctor and hence my glasses were made single vision. They were reluctant to give me my contact lens prescription because I didnt want to buy my contacts from them. Going back to Pearle Vision even though they are more expensive. Better service.

This place has gone down hill. I had to go in 3 times just to get fully evaluated for contacts. Then I had to call back twice cause they recorded my insurance information incorrectly in my file. But they didnt have any problems taking my money when I came in for the initial examination. They act like you need them and they are the only contact place in Jacksonville.
They had good customer service, and the eye doctor was very friendly. However value is false. They fail to offer any glasses at a reasonable price. I tried to look past that seeing the last experience I got my glasses on the spot, and seeing thats how they advertise on the radio dont wait for your glasses, we have high tech lab that brings you your glasses immediately. No, no they dont, and if you do want to pay for that service, its extra. I paid the extra, but now I have to wait two days. (Wal-Mart had my glasses ready that day, and much more of a value.) Now I gotta explain to my boss I wont get much work done the next two days due to not being able to see.
I tried this vision center only because my co pants insurance changed. And i hate it. They have very good variety however they are not very professional and the communication is horrible. I have literally had to call and check on my glasses/contacts both times they were ready and i never received a call. You have to wait for a technician just to walk around and browse their collection..they claim it’s duw to theft but it’s an inconvenience. Maybe if the ladies at the desk did not have their heads down in their phone the entire time they probably would catch those that steal.
Ive been coming to this location for a long time. When I come here I usually feel like Im being talked about by the staff. But today I experienced Michelle, she is super sweet and helpful. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable about my decision. She was patient with me when I asked her to repeat things a few times. Very good experience this time !
Ordered glasses 9 months ago. Called and went in person every 4 weeks was told they were not in. Finally asked for the manager who was very rude to me and ignored my phone calls. She said I never asked about my glasses and that they called me to tell me my glasses were in and they did not. My glasses were returned to the manufacturer and they are refusing to refund me the glasses! I asked to speak to her supervisor and she stated she didnt have a supervisor. I asked to speak to the physician and she stated the physician doesnt deal with these type of matters. I have waited 9 MONTHS for these glasses and was basically called a liar about the numerous times I called to ask where they were. Was told by one person I would get a refund then this woman said absolutely no refund. The manager could care less about customer satisfaction or correcting what the staff did wrong. Horribly incompetent and rude office! Do not go here.
I was scared to go here because of the reviews, but Im glad I did. They work in a timely fashion, the staff is always very pleasant and professional, and I felt like they really wanted to take care of me. I only did a contact exam and sandy was able to help me with my contact order, but everything went very smoothly. Would totally recommend yall to come here for your eyes.

EDITED FOR UPDATE: This is the worst eye doctor I have ever been to. Weve been coming here for a long time and this doctor and staff is horrible. I waited since February to get a refund from them for them screwing up THREE TIMES on my glasses and then finally never even calling me to tell me they were in. THEN I found out through the second doctor I went to there (to check on my prescription because they kept getting my glasses wrong) that I dont even need bifocals. They charged me $270 and never sent the money to the insurance company but refuse to give me a refund, even though Jessica assured me it would come from the insurance company. I cant even put into further words how awful they are but me and my two children will never set foot in this place again and we will be filing a small claims court claim if they decide not to reimburse me for the money. If they do end up refunding me, I will remove this post. But, buyer beware. **EDIT: after NUMEROUS calls and complaints, they FINALLY refunded me the money owed. It was a nightmare trying to get it back. The SECOND you have a problem, be sure to ask for their floating manager and speak to NO ONE ELSE and call every day because no one else will help you or even tell the manager. When she was finally speaking to me, she claimed she knew nothing about this. Jessica is still the worst and actually tried to blame me for everything there. I hope by now she has been fired. We have since gone elsewhere. But, I do thank the manager for at least getting me the refund that I already deserved.

The “specials” in this place apply only if you need child-like glasses. If you need progressive bifocals, transition or any other features you will leave with a bill of at least $250 even with insurance or more without it. I have been there 3 times in the past and was happy with the treatment except I definitely agree it is indeed an expensive store and some of the staff will push you their most expensive items. Also, if the place is crowded you will wait for while even if you have an appointment. But, I have been in worse places before so I would rate this place as fairly good but pricy.
My rating for the Recency location is actually less than zero. Ive been a customer there for nearly 20 years and today, the young sales clerk showed me the rack of frames that my insurance covers. She then asked to keep my little purse while I shop for my frames. I asked her why would I give her my purse? She then made a joke saying, l promise I wont take anything. Needless to say, I reported the incident to Dr. Del Campo.
Go somewhere else! I went and got my eyes examined (repeat customer) Shopped for glasses and was sized for a pair (saw her write the measurements down) Called to get the measurements to have some lenses replaced in my old glasses online and they refused to give them to me since I wasnt buying them there. Well I had planned on ordering my contacts and the pair of new glasses I picked out and keeping my old pair as backups, but not anymore what a poor business practice when I pay for an exam and prescription and they refuse to give me my basic info. Shame on them, profits over customers.

I am so disappointed in the customer service at the regency location. I ordered glasses March 11,2019, and still today April 11, 30 days later have yet recv my product. My daughter got hers like maybe 3dzys later, BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PAIR? I had to totally call literally everyday to see if my glasses came in. Nothing. So after week 3, spoke with a Kelly on a Thursday, which assured me she would call and find out and return my call.... couple days later I called talk to a Michelle. She had said that my glasses did not meet inspection. Oooooook did I need to know this, being that I was the paying customer???! Obviously not, cause I did the leg work. Finally she told me they are putting a rush on my order and be here in a week. Today I go pick up and I’ll be doggone if they ARE NOT THE ONES I PAID FOR ! Really folks. You dropped the ball. Just know I will never patron you again. Hence the reason I stop coming before when Alex left. I use to also work here. Shameful. Now I have to pay for another service somewhere else. Unacceptable service period. Diana if you read this. Please train your ppl.

Maybe thats why. The doctor asked me if I was pregnant when I specifically scratched pregnant out and put nursing. Then when I told the woman that I could only afford what my insurance covered the conversation after that went as if I was just so poor and broke and she was trying to do all she could to help my poor self get what I can. So I come back today to get my glasses and seeing if they fit well. They fit well however the right lens was pushed out a little bit and I could tell because it was affecting my vision. She went to the back to have him to fix it she comes back up and they did absolutely nothing to it. Then she went back there a second time coming back up front saying he did all he could but he couldnt fix it. I was telling her that all he needed to do was push it in more. she says that they would need new frames. Frustrated

Not a good review because been over a month and still no 👓. No call to tell me whats goin on and they say call back in a couple of days..hello, they told me 14 to 20 days..Not goin there again.and a run around to get my money back.....thanks Value Vision...💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💦💩💩💩💩
Horrible customer service Ive called for a week now trying to get my glasses the first time they put me on hold and never picked the phone back up and now I cant get a answer its been 2 1/2 weeks .....I will not deal with this company again
Horrible customer service. I called to get my pupil distance as it wasnt on the copy of my prescription they gave me, and the receptionist was incredibly rude and even hung up on me. Turns out, that even though it is your personal information, they will not give it to you. When I was trying to clarify, the first receptionist hung up on me instead of trying to explain. When I called back, they told me that no one by the name I was given from the original receptionist worked for them, which is sketchy and underhanded. When I asked the second receptionist about getting the information about MY eyes, she said the same thing that they do not give out that information, but rather if I wanted to be self sufficient I could just do it myself. This is horrendous customer service and some shady practices for a doctors/optometrists office and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for service. Spend your hard earned insurance premiums and copay elsewhere.
The quality of there frames is very poor. I will never go back or recommend anyone. I purchased a pair of frames and they broke and they told me if I wanted a new pair I would be responsible for them or now I could now purchase a warranty. Never again... save you money and go elsewhere.
If I could give them negative stars, I would. RIPOFF!! Dont buy from them!! Glasses broke within a week and they wouldnt replace them. $700 later and they wont honor their EXTRA warranty I paid for!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
This was my first ever visit to an optometrist and I was nervous about the experience. The staff was very courteous and I was moved from waiting area to exam room(s) to fitting area in an efficient, timely manner.All costs and options were clearly explained to me as well as what my insurance would cover. I took advantage of some optional testing (Optomap) for better results and to avoid pupil dilation and opted out of some inconvenient services (pressure test) since I have problems having drops put in my eyes.They were accommodating and professional. The doctor was thorough and pleasant. I will definitely go back to this location.

The team, Milly, Sandy, receptionists, doctors, and assistants were excellent as always. My family, Malachi & Maya Dowe, are always treated like friends instead of customers. There is always a pleasant smile no matter where you turn and the service is outstanding.
I have been very satisfied over the years with the Dr and the staff. The last 2 pair of glasses I bought were not comparable to previous ones. They were very cheap and the screws kept falling out. They did fix them but had too return 2 different times. They should have done it right the first time.Just this week one of my frames broke and could not be fixed. Instead of offering to order a new frame, told me stop back in a few weeks to see if they had any in.
They are kind, thoughtful and understanding. I lost my glasses and they were understanding and helped me get an appointment quickly.
Best selection of Designer glasses. I love the Gucci and Jimmy Choo and the large Selection of Dolce Gabbanna! I have a very high prescription and Janet helped me pick the perfect pair for my power.The staff was wonderful and Ms, Janet spent time explaining all my needs. People with high powers should understand more about your eyes. I found out that i am at a higher risk for retinal detachment. Know one ever told me that! I know now and I know what to look for. Any one who gave this office one star must be a one star person, THEY ARE GREAT! Thank you all

Usually my experiences at the Atlantic Blvd. Location are great. This week they fumbled the ball all over the place. The 1 day $14.99 guarantee was a bust. It took 3 days because the tech initially put the wrong color lenses in. I was told that I could keep them as a consolation for the inconvenience. When the manager refunded the $14.99 to my card days later she stated that I could not receive the initial set of lenses. She proclaimed it was not store policy and she did not know why the sales representative told me that it was indeed possible. She never made an attempt to go into the back to see if the sales rep left the lenses or even inquire within about my assertion. Her posture seemed unpleasant but I made no battle of it. In fact, I was not even sure that she was the actual manager considering her see through nightclub dress code and very low bust cut with lots of cleavage showing. It seemed as if there was strict, but silent opposition to my request. Nevertheless, just another bad review. Hopefully, I wont need to bring these lenses back for repair. Thnx, but I think Ill pass.

I have been using Valu Vision for as long as I have had to wear glasses. After moving to Florida, this was my first experience with this specific branch and all I can say is do not waste your time at this location. They worry you to death until you are paid in full and 5 months later Im still waiting on a refund that they owe me for over charging. I have called more times then I can count in the last 5 months and yet Im still waiting for the refund.
